It was a cloudy day in New York City, USA. A tall Caucasian male with a bit of muscle was walking through the streets of the city with a duffel bag over his shoulder. The man stood at around 6 foot and 4 inches along with shaggy and messy brown hair. His eyes were a pale green, and his outfit consisted of a dirty white v-neck t-shirt worn underneath a dirty unzipped gray hoodie along with dirty gray sweatpants and torn black and white sneakers.

The man's name was Ian Walters, and he had been raised on the streets of New York City by a thief named Henry Walters. Under Henry's care, Ian grew up to become a thief himself, and while Henry made it clear to Ian that what they did was wrong, it was the only thing they could do to get by in life. However, one day, Henry fell ill, and realizing that petty theft wasn't enough to pay for Henry's hospital bills, Ian started looking into other ways to earn money, which is when he came across a new season of the Canadian reality tv show Total Drama. Ian auditioned for the show and was cast for the season Total Drama Arcade, where Ian tried to rely solely on wit and skill to try and make it to the end of the game and win the million dollar prize so he could pay for his father figure Henry's hospital bills.

Unfortunately, Ian made too many enemies along the way and was promptly eliminated in the first post-merge challenge after one of his fellow competitors was given control over the elimination as a prize for winning the first post-merge challenge. After the show had wrapped up, Ian had returned home to New York City, ashamed that he was unable to win the money he needed to help his father figure.

Ian saw the building where him, Henry and the rest of the young street punks that Henry had raised lived in come into view, and the thief exhaled deeply as he walked up to the front door and knocked on it. "Guys, it's me...Can you let me in...?" Ian called, assuming someone would be home. The door was opened, and Ian walked inside as he shut the door behind him.

Inside the living room of the building were a couple more street punks, and they all shared the same grim look that Ian currently had on his face. "I assume you saw everything on Total Drama over the summer...?" Ian asked, knowing very well that everyone saw what happened during his time on Total Drama.

The street punks nodded, and Ian sighed. "I know you guys are probably mad at me for what happened since I came home broke without any money to help Pops...I know you hate me and you got the right to kill me now, and I wouldn't blame you if you do..." He said as he hung his head in shame.

One of the street punks, a Caucasian male standing at about 6 foot with blue eyes and blond hair that was shaven on one side of his head while being longer on the other side dressed in a dirty white t-shirt underneath a dirty black denim jacket, torn dirty black jeans, black motorcycle boots and a black bandana placed his hand on Ian's shoulder.

"We're not mad at you, Ian. We don't hate you. We know how much you tried your best to win the money to help Pops. It's not your fault what happened. It's that troublemaking psychic's fault for getting you eliminated." He told Ian as Ian proceeded to look at him, and he weakly smiled at the street punk.

"Thanks, Josh...I appreciate the emotional support...How's Pops doing at the hospital...?" Ian asked the street punks in the room, who all proceeded to look at each other before looking back at Ian.

"Not well...I went to see him the other day, and the nurses said he don't have much longer to live...I suggest that if you want to say goodbye to him, you do it now..." Josh informed Ian as the weak smile faded from Ian's face, and Ian nodded in understanding.

"I see...Yeah, I'll go see Pops right away then...I'll worry about unpacking my stuff later..." Ian said as he tossed his duffel bag down the hallway and immediately went out the door to head to the local hospital, where his father figure Henry was spending his last days at. Before long, Ian had arrived at the hospital and walked up to the reception.

"I'm here to see Henry Walters..." Ian informed the receptionist, who checked the patient records and nodded in understanding.

"Room 14. You may have an hour." The receptionist told Ian, who nodded back and proceeded to head towards his father figure's hospital room before gently knocking on the door. He then gently pushed the door open and saw Henry lying in his hospital bed, and Henry lifted his head to look at Ian.

Henry was a middle aged Caucasian male with shaggy black hair that was starting to gray along with brown eyes and a black beard that was starting to gray as well. He gave Ian a weak smile as the thief shut the door behind him.

"Aaaah, Ian...I'm so glad you made it back home in one piece...Your brothers and sisters have kept me posted on your adventures on Total Drama over the summer...They told me about how you tried to win based solely on how smart and crafty you were...And how you were eliminated because of that scam artist of a psychic..." Henry told Ian as Ian slowly walked over to the hospital bed and kneeled at its side.

Ian nodded at his father figure's words. "Yeah, that did happen, Pops...I'm sorry I couldn't win the money I needed to pay for your hospital bills and nurse you back to health...I'm sorry that you're going to die because of what happened...I feel like I failed you and it's my fault that you'll no longer be with us soon..." Ian told Henry as he tried to keep himself for crying, since he didn't want to lose his father figure after he had raised him from a baby to where he was today.

Henry reached over to Ian and gently grabbed his right hand. "Don't blame yourself for it, Ian...It's not your fault that you couldn't win the money...It's the fault of those who wronged you during your stay on Total Drama that you couldn't win the money...You didn't fail me at all...I know how hard you did your best to try and save my life...At least I can die knowing that I raised and provided a lot of children, including yourself with the love a real father would give them, and that those children have given me the same love back...If I don't see you anymore after this visit, Ian...I want to say goodbye to you, and that I love you, and that I'm proud of what you have become..." He told Ian, who practically had tears streaming down his cheeks at this point.

"I love you too, Pops...I'm gonna miss you so much when you're gone..." Ian tearfully told Henry as he held Henry's hand.

Henry weakly smiled and nodded at Ian's words. "I will miss you too, Ian...I will miss everyone once I'm gone...But for now, let's try to spend our last moments together, shall we...?" He suggested to Ian, who nodded back at him. The two then proceeded to spend their last moments together.

A few days later, Ian was lying in his bed, snoring lightly when he heard a knock on his bedroom door, causing the thief to wake up and yawn. "Who's there?" Ian groggily asked as he sat up in his bed before Josh proceeded to enter his room, a grim look on his face. "Oh, hey, Josh. What's up?" Ian asked his surrogate brother.

"The hospital called...It's Pops...He's dead, bro..." Josh replied in a sad tone. Ian hung his head upon hearing that news, and he started to sob quietly as he realized that his father figure was no longer with him. A few days later, it was time for Henry's funeral. Ian was the first to wake up, and he had already dressed for the funeral, wearing a cheap black two piece suit with a white dress shirt and black dress shoes. Ian was sitting on the couch, his face buried in his hands as he was deep in thought about everything that had happened over the course of the past few months. His participation on Total Drama Arcade, being fucked over by all those contestants he made enemies out of, including that lawyer, that comic book geek, that bear cosplayer, that snobby rich girl, that mother figure, and worst of all, that cunning and sneaky psychic, the one who caused his downfall...It was because of all of them that he got eliminated from Total Drama Arcade and had to go home penniless and broke...It was because of them that his father figure had died...Had he won the money, he could have saved Henry from dying, but he couldn't...Despite everyone's assurances, including Henry's that it wasn't his fault, Ian couldn't help but blame himself for everything that had happened. He had the chance to save Henry from meeting his demise, but it slipped right through his hands because he felt he wasn't playing the game smart enough...The more Ian thought about it, the more he felt guilty.

"Up already, Ian?" A female voice sounded from behind Ian as he turned to look at the source of the voice. Behind him stood a Caucasian young woman with shoulder length brown hair and green eyes who was currently dressed in a long sleeved black blouse with a black skirt, black ankle boot heels and had red lipstick on. She stood at about 5 foot and 11 inches.

Ian nodded at the young woman. "Yeah, I am, Rayna...I couldn't really get any sleep last night..." He admitted. Rayna nodded back at Ian's words as she walked over to Ian and sat down next to him.

"Don't worry about, Ian. I don't think any of us slept well last night knowing what's about to go down today, so you're not alone on that part." Rayna told Ian as she looked at him.

"Yeah...I probably slept the worst of us all because of how guilty I felt...I know Pops said that it wasn't my fault, but I can't help but feel it was my fault...After all, I made the mistake of making too many enemies during my time on Total Drama...I made the mistake of not playing the game smart enough...That's what got me eliminated from Total Drama and forced me to go home penniless and broke without any way to save Pops...I should take a long walk off a short pier once this is all over..." Ian sadly huffed as he hung his head in shame.

Rayna put an arm around Ian while placing her other hand on his chest. "Ian, look...It's not your fault, okay? Everyone, Pops included knew how hard you were trying to save Pops. But in an unpredictable game of chance like Total Drama, things like this tend to happen. A lot of people, no matter how selfless their plans with the money may be have to get cut from the competition on their way to the final two. And you were unfortunate enough to have gotten cut from the competition on your way to the final two. Things like that happen, and there's nothing we can do about it. Pops might no longer be with us, but he wouldn't have wanted us to be devastated over it. He would've wanted us to move on from this and try to continue on with our lives. We'll pull through, I promise." She told Ian in a reassuring tone of voice.

Ian didn't look at Rayna the entire time as she told him all of this, but he did listen to it all, and he nodded at her words. "Alright, Rayna...If you say so, then it should all be fine...I think for now, we should think of something to say at the funeral..." He replied to Rayna.

Rayna nodded as she pulled out a piece of paper that had a speech written on it. "Yeah, I've been preparing a speech for Pops' funeral. What about you?" She asked Ian.

Ian thought about it. "I don't know. I think I'll improvise. After all, that's what Pops always taught us to do when trying to pickpocket people or rob stores." He replied as Rayna nodded. A little while later, all the other street punks that Henry had raised came into the living room, dressed in their funeral wear. Once everyone was ready, they all proceeded to head to the local community center, where Henry's funeral was going to be held. Everyone sat down in their seats, and Ian let out a deep sigh as he was going to have a hard time with this.

A Caucasian middle aged woman with blond hair styled in a pompadour and blue eyes dressed in a white t-shirt underneath a black suit jacket with black suit pants and black heels stood at a podium, with Henry's coffin behind her.

"We're gathered here today to say goodbye to a man who lived his life off of petty theft. He had taken in various children when they were only babies and raised all of them to become thieves. He knew that living off of theft wasn't the right way of living, but knew that it was the only way of living they could live given that a capitalist country like America leaves too many people dirt poor. He was a man of idealism, and he raised the children he took in to have that same idealistic vision. So while he was a thief, he was honest about who he was, he was a man who knew exactly what was wrong with our country, and most important, he was a father to many children. He will be missed dearly." The middle aged woman spoke as all those who knew Henry and had good memories of him sat there and took in every word the woman spoke.

"Now anyone who wishes to say a few things about Henry Walters, you may come up to the podium and say them." The woman continued as Rayna was the first to go up to the podium to speak. One by one, Ian's surrogate brothers and sisters spoke about Henry, and soon, it was Ian's turn. He started out with childhood memories of Henry, and as he grew up, how grateful he was to have Henry around, and that when Henry fell ill, he was devastated and wanted nothing more than to see Henry healthy again. He told about his endeavors on Total Drama Arcade and how he was eliminated, but that Henry understood that he tried his best to save him, and that everyone was going to have to move on from what happened and try to continue their lives. Ian's speech ended up being longer than the rest, but Ian received a round of applause after his speech was over, and as the thief sat back down again, his surrogate brothers and sisters hugged him, praising him for the way with words he had about Henry.

"Now, if everyone would be so kind as to follow me to the cemetery so we can bring Henry Walters to his final resting place." The blond woman from before spoke as Ian, Josh, Rayna and another of their surrogate siblings proceeded to pick up Henry's coffin and take it to the nearby cemetery.

Once everyone got to Henry's grave, the group put the coffin down. "Here you are, Pops...The afterlife awaits..." Ian sighed. Henry's coffin was then placed inside the grave, and Henry was buried. Ian and his surrogate siblings stood around their surrogate father's grave, paying him tribute one last time.
