Warrior of the Wind
Chapter 1: Back to Japan. Dreams and Reconnecting
The streets of Ainesboro, Minnesota were alive with people. It was towards the end of the day so many people were coming out of work and heading home or, in the cases for most of the people in town, the majority of the city's people were heading to a local bar or restaurant to enjoy the rest of the night before the weekend hits.
One such young man was walking down the streets of Ainesboro with a brand new suitcase in his hands rolling along the sidewalk. The young man bought the suitcase for his new life that was going to start the next day. He was leaving his hometown of 8 years and heading to the beautiful country of Japan to try out for the illustrious hero academy UA.
The young man was Lukas "Luke" Pierce, a young man who was born in the American Mid-West but being that his mother was a Southern lady at heart, their family moved back to her hometown when she received a great job offer. Luke had been living in Ainesboro for half of his life and he truly felt that he had become a real southern boy, even if he did miss the rain and cold of his birth state.
Luke trekked down the streets, waving hello to all the locals that he had come to know in his time living in Ainesboro. It was honestly one of the things that he loved about the city. It wasn't as big or grand as some cities like Minneapolis or Rochester, but it had its own special charm that was rare to find in some of the larger Midwestern cities. And while it wasn't always an easy life for Luke growing up in the small town with just his mother and older brother, Luke found himself in live with the small town aesthetic he had come to love.
Luke had a dream to be a hero so he could protect his home country. The States had a relatively higher crime rate than other places in the world like Japan but thanks to the efforts of heroes like Stars and Stripes, the crime rate was slowly lowering.
But Luke wanted to contribute to his home.
He was very proud to be an American and he wanted to protect everything that made him happy. All of the people he had come to know, the family members in both Minnesota and Japan, and all of the people that feel like they need a hero. That was what he wanted to do with his life.
"Okay, got the suitcase, new pair of shoes, clothes are all folded up, and Auntie Mayumi says that she'll be waiting for me at the airport. Hopefully the plane ride goes by fast." Luke said with a smile.
Luke turned a corner to headed down his street, his home was only about another 5 minutes away which meant that he could get out of the heat and into his nice, air conditioned home.
"Get away from me!"
Luke's ears picked up a cry for help and his gaze immediately hardened. The sound of someone crying for help was nothing that he wanted to hear but when he did, he would jump at the opportunity to help.
Luke closed his eyes and did his best to stretch out his senses to try and find the source of the cry. Thankfully, his Quirk was very useful in situations like this, and he was able to find the source of the cry relatively quickly. Turning his head to the side, his gaze hardened, and he set his bag down before disappearing in a gust of wind.

"Please I don't have anything, just let me go."
An elderly man pleaded for his life with the three young thugs that were holding him at knife point.
"Just shut up old man! We know you got something, where you hiding your shit!" the head thug threatened as he held a knife to the old man's throat. His other two crew mates were rapidly searching through his pockets to find anything of value.
"Damn, I ain't finding jack man!" a thug wearing a black baseball cap on his head said as he searched the old man.
"Hold on, I think I got something!" the third thug with large hoop earring yelled triumphantly as he pulled a large golden locket out of the elderly man's pocket.
"No, please, not that. It's not worth anything." The elderly man pleaded but was soon silenced as the head thig pressed his blade deeper into the skin of his throat, making the man bleed.
"I said shut up old man," the head thug said as he looked at what his crew mate found, "Well I'll be damned. Looks like you actually had something good on you."
"Yeah dog, we can sell this for some good cash and get high as fuck!" the hooped thug cheered.
"I don't think so."
Faster than anyone could see, the hooped thug suddenly dropped to the ground as a result of a side kick that hit his temple. The locket went flying out of his hands and into the air only to be caught by the person who kicked the hooped thug to the ground. A very pissed off Luke.
"You punks made a very big mistake."
MHA
Luke was happy that he made it to the source of the cry when he did. The elderly man that was getting robbed a kind-hearted man named Robert Peterson. Luke had known Robert for pretty much his entire life. The old man had been nothing but kind to him and every other person in the neighborhood and it made Luke very, very, angry that a couple of punks would dare to rob him.
"What the fuck?!" the head thug yelled out in shock seeing his crew mate fall to the ground.
Luke placed the locket in his pocket and shuffled his feet forward and struck out with a straight punch to the head thug's nose, making his drop the knife in his hands and stumble back.
Robert immediately grasped his neck and breathed a sigh of relief when he only felt a small cut under his neck, "Oh thank goodness."
"You okay Mr. P?" Luke asked as he checked on the elderly man.
Robert nodded, "Much better now, thank you Luke."
Luke smiled and left the elderly man to calm down just a bit before he glared at the two remaining punks, the first clutching his face due to the excess amount of blood pouring from his face.
"You son of a bitch! The hell do you think you're doing?!"
Luke gave the thug a deadpan look, "I should be asking you that. What gives you the right to rob a sweet old man like Mr. P?"
The head thug didn't say anything as he held up his hand and transformed it into gold. The golden hand then shifted into a pointed blade. The thug then charged at Luke trying to skewer him with his blade, but Luke shifted slightly to the side and struck out with an elbow the thug's bicep making him drop his arm. Luke followed up with an elbow strike to the thug's face, effectively breaking his nose in the process. Luke landed several hard punches to the thug's body and one to his leg which dropped him down to one knee. Luke knocked the thug out with a strong uppercut, putting him on his back and out of commission.
Luke cracked his neck and turned to the final thug who was shaking in his boots, "I'm giving you one chance. Leave now and take your punk ass posse with you. If I hear the slightest whiff of you or your boys here doing anything like this again, then I promise. There is no where you will be able to hide from me." He said with such an intensity you would have thought he planned on taking the guy out right there.
The last thug let out a scared squeal and grabbed the other two by their arms and began dragging them away. Slowly but effectively.
Luke turned his attention back to Robert who was back on his feet, "How're you doing Mr. P?"
Robert let out a light chuckle, "All things considered, not too bad. Thanks again for showing up when you did."
"Glad I was nearby," Luke said as he brought out the necklace he took from the first thug, "I believe this is yours."
Robert looked as if he was about to start crying, "Thank you. Thank you so much Luke," he said taking the locket in his hands, "It's funny. Becca's been gone for so long and yet I still can't forget her."
Luke placed a hand on Robert's shoulder, "The fact that you still remember her shows that you still care. As long as you don't forget her, she'll always be with you."
Robert gave the young man a kind smile and the two began to walk down the street to Robert's home. Robert's wife Rebecca had lost her battle with cancer 5 years prior, and it still held a deep scar withing Robert's heart. The elderly couple were well known among a lot of people in Ainesboro, and many found their antics with each other rather interesting. Rebecca was a lot fierier and always wanted to get the last word while Robert was the all-around sweetheart that loved to see people smile.
Their personalities clashed a lot, but they somehow made it work and they couple stayed together for over 30 years until Rebecca passed. Robert found the love of his life and now stayed in the same house they lived in together. Luke felt for the old man but was also proud of how strongly he kept moving on after his wife's death. That wasn't an easy road for anyone to take.
Luke eventually made it to Robert's home after retrieving his suitcase, making sure the old man made it into his home before anything bad happened.
"Thanks Luke, I appreciate everything you did for me." Robert said.
Luke smiled, "Think nothing of it, Mr. P. Just happy I could help."
Robert chuckled, "Kind of a shame you're moving all the way to Japan. The neighborhood feels a lot safer with you around looking after us, little people."
"Well, that's why I'm going to Japan Mr. P. If I'm gonna be a hero that this city needs, then I need to learn from the best."
Robert nodded, "Well, I got to say, if there's anyone I'd like looking after this town, I'm very happy it'd be you." He said making Luke smile.
These were the kinds of people that he could fight for. The kinds of people he would protect. They were his reason, for becoming a hero.
MHA
Luke cracked the stiff bones in his body, thankful that after 12 hours in the sky he had finally managed to make it to The Land of the Rising Sun. Leaving his family back in Ainesboro was difficult, especially with his mother who raised both him and his older brother Aiden on her own. Luke loved his mother dearly and did worry about her being in a city as big as Ainesboro, but she was able to raise both of her sons on her own while working a full time job so she would be fine.
Luke's brother Aiden was another story.
Luke looked up to his older brother and kind of put him on a pedestal at times. Since neither of them had any fathers growing up, they did their best to look after each other as best they could. Aiden would help Luke along whenever he was having a rough day or needed some male bonding and Luke helped Aiden out just by giving him an ear for him to listen to his troubles.
After Aiden graduated high school, he did some traveling around the world with the army before he settled back in Minnesota to be close to the family. After leaving the army, he opened up his own carpentry business which did rather well in his area. Luke had seen the houses his brother helped create and he was always impressed. His brother had some serious skill.
Aiden knew about Luke's desire to become a hero and had faith that his brother was going to do great things. He wished him well and told him to always be faithful to who he was, and he could do anything.
Luke was very thankful for his family and the love and support they gave him during his time in Japan. He was looking forward to spending some time back in Japan. He was also thankful that not a lot of people stared at him due to his appearance, save for a few girls his age.
Luke stood at around 6'0 with a dark, caramel brown skin tone, golden colored eyes, black hair that was styled into a short cornrow fade up top and line designs cut into the sides of his head. He had a solid build and quite muscular, something he was rather proud of. His skin was dotted with several, small, faded scars littered around his body. Mementos of his training with his uncle.
He was currently dressed in a pair of faded black jeans, brown boots, a black belt, a long-sleeved burgundy shirt, a hooded black leather jacket, a leather bracelet with a Celtic cross stamped on it on his right wrist, twin black beaded bolo bracelets on his left wrist, a silver chain necklace with a black and silver cross attached to it, and a pair of military dog tags.
When he was younger, Luke would come to Japan every summer to train with his uncle. Luke's Quirk was similar to his uncle's so his mother thought spending time with him would give Luke more control over his Quirk and boy was she right. Thanks to his uncle's tutelage, Luke became so efficient with his Quirk that using it was like breathing to him. The skills he learned from his uncle also helped he become one of the most powerful fighters in Minnesota.
At least according to all the punks and gang bangers he had taken down during his time there.
Thankful to be off the plane, Luke took a look around the terminal as he walked through it, trying to find his aunt and uncle in the sea of people. While it had been at least 5 years since he had last seen his aunt and uncle in person, Luke thought that they shouldn't have changed all that much. Not considering their images.
As he neared the exit, Luke finally laid eyes on the impressive and massive figure of his uncle with his aunt standing next to him. Luke's uncle, Yamada Ryotaro, stood at around 6'7 and was built of solid, heavy muscle from head to toe. Dressed in a tight black t-shirt with a stylish, zip-up sweater over it and a pair of jeans with boots. His tanned skin, short cropped black hair, and dark green eyes hadn't changed in the 5 years Luke hadn't seen him. Neither did his intimidating aura.
His wife Mayumi, Luke's aunt, on the other hand, was vastly different from her husband. While she was well muscled, she was more on the petite side, standing at around 5'7. She had long reddish-brown hair with pale skin and hazel colored eyes. She was dressed in a long-sleeved dark green shirt with black jeans that hugged her voluptuous figure and black, knee-high boots. She was also holding a small child in her arms.
Mayumi and Ryotaro met during their youth while working in the same industry and had been together for over 30 years. While they weren't his aunt and uncle by blood, Luke's mother had been friends with Mayumi for years when she lived in Japan during her teen years. After Luke and his brother were born, they had always seen Mayumi and Ryotaro as family.
They learned that you didn't have to be blood to be family.
Luke smiled and made his way towards the duo who waved at him when they saw him. Once he got close enough, Luke set down his bags and immediately hugged his uncle. Due to Ryotaro's immense size and width, Luke was only able to get his arms halfway around his uncle's frame while Ryotaro practically crushed the smaller boy.
"Ha, ha, Luke my boy! Good to see you," Ryotaro belted out as he and Luke separated, "Wow, five years since we've seen you. Nice to see you've been keeping up with your training. The hair is a bit different though." He said.
Luke blushed and ran his hand over the top of his head, "Yeah, I gave it a try and mom said it made my eyes stand out more."
Mayumi giggled, "Well, Gina was always able to make you boys look good. And I must say, you look very handsome."
Luke nodded, "Thanks Auntie. It's good to see both of you," he said before looking down at the small child she was holding in her arms, "And this is, Raito, right?"
Mayumi smiled and nodded, "That's right, Luke-onii-chan." She said handing him over to Luke.
"Whoa" Luke said quickly taking the baby in his arms, "Wow, you're a heavy boy, aren't you?" he said making Raito giggle.
"Sounds to me that he's going to take after his papa." Luke said with a smirk.
"Right!" Ryotaro said with a wide grin.
Luke gently bounced the tiny child in his hands, making Raito giggle with each bounce. Luke never really spent a lot of time with children but being around his little cousin was rather fun.
Luke balanced the small child in his arms, "He's adorable Auntie. By the way, where's Natsuki?" he asked.
"Natsuki said that she wanted to come and see you but she's really busy organizing a charity event she has coming up. But she did say to stop by the agency anytime this week." Mayumi said.
Luke nodded in understanding as he followed his aunt and uncle out of the terminal. Natsuki was his older cousin and Ryotaro and Mayumi's daughter. She inherited her mother's beauty but not her parent's love for fighting. Instead, she became a model and used her beauty and influence to take charge of different projects for a number of charities that were close to her heart.
It was something that Luke appreciated very much about his cousin, and he hoped that he could do some good for the world the way she does. Getting into Ryotaro's large truck and waiting for Mayumi to clip Raito into his car seat, the group headed out onto the streets of Musutafu. Luke looked out the window and smiled at all the different high rise buildings and stores that he remembered from the last time he was here in Japan.
Thanks to the time he spent with his aunt and uncle, Luke was already incredibly well versed in Japanese culture and the language. His time in Japan was incredible when he was a child and he learned so much, due to the fact that his schooling back in the States had gotten a bit more intense and the fact that he found a well-paying job to help his mother with the house bills after his brother moved out, Luke hadn't been back for several years. Now that he was back, it felt kind of surreal.
While he met a lot of people during his time in Japan, he didn't really have a chance to make any lasting friendships due to the fact that he only stayed in Japan for a few months before going back to the states. But, regardless of that fact, Luke loved the time he spent in Japan and now that he was back, he planned to make the most of his time by training as much as he could to make it into UA.
MHA
Luke had spent the night at his aunt and uncle's place, so many memories flooding back to him from the time he used to stay there as a child. He was very thankful to the both of them for letting him stay with them while he was in Japan, but his uncle did tell him that Luke was going to need to help out with Raito which Luke was okay with. The least he could do to thank his aunt and uncle for letting him stay with him was look after his little cousin.
It was a beautiful to morning in Musutafu and Luke was taking full advantage of it by doing a morning run. The time he spent running gave him the ability to clear his head and he had a chance to see the city. Since it had been so long since he was in the city so getting a chance to get his bearings once more was a good feeling. Luke found himself by a large, crystal blue lake that shined like diamonds in the morning sunlight.
Dressed in a simple pair of running pants, a long sleeved grey hoodie, and sneakers Luke was more than prepared for his morning run. Next to a large fountain that was situated near the lake was a small metal bench. Luke walked over to it and sat down so he could rest for a minute and drink some water. After finishing his swig and wiping the sweat from his forehead, Luke looked around him and took in the sights. The beautiful sunlight set the entire setting alight in a myriad of colors, almost making the nearby water sparkle like diamonds.
"Man, this place is beautiful. I wonder if I could stay here for a few years after I graduate." Luke said chuckling to himself. Before he even thought about graduating, he needed to get into UA first. Then he could think about whether or not he wanted to stay here.
"Onii-chan, hurry up!"
Luke looked up at the sound of the voice and saw two small girls and a young boy all around the age of 8 running through the area in front of Luke. The boy seemed to be hanging back as he waved someone over. Luke looked in the general direction and saw a boy his age come into his view. The boy had a solid build with spiked silver hair that had black tips, tanned skin, with silver-grey eyes. He was dressed in a pair of black cargo pants, black boots, a long-sleeved white Henley shirt that showcased his muscular body, and a short-sleeved grey hooded vest. Metal bracelets were on both of his wrists, stud earrings in both ears, and a large silver cross around his neck.
"Guys, slow down, will you? I can't have you getting too far away from me and getting into trouble." The older boy said.
The three kids reluctantly heeded the elder boy's call and hung around the fountain for a few minutes.
"Just relax guys. The meet and greet won't begin for another half hour and we're really close. We'll be fine."
"Okay!" the two girls said while the younger boy just stood next to older boy.
The older boy went ahead and sat down on the bench next to Luke while the younger one sat down on the ground next to the bench.
Luke chuckled, "Not easy being the big brother huh?"
The silver-eyed boy gave off a weak chuckle, "You're telling me. There are days when I feel like those girls have pure sugar running through their veins the way they always keep me on my toes."
"Luckily you don't have to worry about that with me Nii-chan!" the smaller boy said with a cocky grin.
The silver-eyed boy next to Luke chuckled and ruffled his younger brother's hair while keeping an eye on his two younger sisters playing in front of him.
"But despite the craziness they provide, I wouldn't want to change a thing." He said with a smile.
Luke nodded, "I can agree with you there dude."
The boy shook Luke's hand, "Name's Genji. Tetsuyama Genji. The little guy next to me is my baby brother Nagi." He said with said boy waving at Luke.
"And the two girls are Ryoko and Karin." Genji said pointing to the two girls.
"Nice to meet you all. Luke Pierce, at your service."
Luke and Genji passed the time with some simple small talk, it was honestly really nice for Luke to talk with someone else his age. The town he grew up in there really wasn't anything that people didn't know. Everyone knew who was and everyone knew his family. Luke didn't really get any time to himself or find himself spending time with kids his own age, save for a few people he grew up with. Spending time with Genji was a new experience but one that Luke really enjoyed.
Genji stood up, "Well, sad to cut this short but I promised my sisters that I'd take them to fan meeting for one of their favorite J-pop groups."
"Were going to meet IMPACT!" Ryoko and Karin cheered out in joy.
Luke smiled, "Well, you two seem very excited. I take it you guys are very big fans?" he said. While Luke was familiar with the girl group known as IMPACT, he wasn't as big a fan as the girls were.
"Yeah, we've been listening to their music since they first debuted!" Ryoko cheered.
"Getting to meet them in person is like a dream!" Karin said as she and her sister jumped up and down in joy.
Luke chuckled at their enthusiasm and got to his feet, "Well, I wont keep you guys. I hope you two have fun," he said patting the girl's head, "And I hope we meet again Genji."
Genji chuckled, "If we both make it into UA, we'll meet again," he said holding a fist out, "To becoming heroes."
"To becoming heroes." Luke said as the two bumped fists.
After bidding goodbye to Genji and his siblings, Luke decided to grab himself a quick bite to eat and headed to a nearby café. Hopefully, there would be something to hold him over until he got back home.
MHA
Luke let out a sigh of content as he took a long sip from his frozen drink. The café he found was close to where he was and the selection, they had was rather pleasant which Luke kind of expected from the laid back atmosphere he felt once he entered.
He ordered a frozen, caramel and chocolate drink along with a sausage and egg biscuit and a small fruit pie. He had a major sweet tooth. After getting his order and flirting slightly with the cute waitress, Luke settled into his chair and relaxed.
"I could really get used to this place. The neighborhood is friendly, places like this café are around, and I can spend time with my extended family. I really hope I make it into UA." Luke said to himself as he enjoyed his breakfast. He took a look around the inside of the café and wasn't really surprised to see it mostly empty.
From what he remembered from talking with Genji, IMPACT was having a fan meeting nearby, so the majority of the neighborhood was likely there. Luke was fairly curious about the girl group since he did listen to a fair amount of Japanese and Korean music and since he had time right now, he might as well check them out.
Luke grabbed his phone and opened YT to look the group up. Luke found them rather easily and put his headphones in his ears. He opened one of their music videos labeled, "Kura Kura", and decided to play that one.
Once the music started playing, Luke found himself rather entranced by the music. The beat was catchy, lyrics were stylish, and, as one would imagine, the girls were beautiful. Each member of IMPACT had their own style and they used that to their strengths during their performances. During the entire video, Luke found himself drawn to one girl in particular. He didn't know her name, but she had long black hair and seemed to have a perfect combination of cute and sexy and just moved through her dancing with ease.
Plus, she had a great smile.
After the song ended, Luke looked up a few more videos and rather enjoyed the songs he was listening to. The girls had some serious talent, and he could see why Ryoko, and Karin were such big fans of them.
The bell to the café rang and Luke's head drew to the front door in curiosity. A girl that looked his age with fair skin, long black hair tied into a ponytail, a black and red New York baseball cap on her head, and dark brown eyes. She was dressed in a pair of short black shorts with a pink tank top and a black jean jacket over it all. She had red sneakers on her feet and a white mask covering the bottom of her face.
Luke raised at eyebrow at the mask, but it was actually a fairly common thing in Japan, so he didn't really think twice about it. The girl stepped up to the counter, ordered a drink, and once she received it, she started to walk out of the café but seemed to catch her foot on something and started falling.
Luke was up in a flash and immediately caught the girl in his arms before she hit the floor. Her drink went flying through the air, but Luke was able to catch it in his hand before anything spilled out or onto anyone.
Luke let out a sigh of relief, "Woah, that was close," he said looking down at the girl who seemed to be staring up at him, "Are you okay?"
It took the girl a few moments to collect her thoughts before she nodded, "Yes, yes, I'm okay. Thank you."
Luke nodded, "Of course, happy to help." He said with a smile.
Luke set the girl back on her feet and handed her drink back, "That really scared me. I thought for sure you were going to eat concrete there for a second." He said.
The girl nodded, "I thought so too. Thankfully, you were there to catch me."
"Just doing what my heroic duty." Luke said making the girl giggle.
Luke heard the sound of multiple footsteps outside the café and turned around to see a multitude of reporters running around outside. The girl looked scared for a moment and immediately hid herself behind Luke which was easy given his size.
A small group of reporters burst through the doors and came up to Luke, "Excuse me, have you seen Mikami Saya come through here at all?" a female reporter asked Luke putting a microphone in his face.
Luke was very annoyed. One, he didn't like cameras or reporters for that matter. He found them to be very intrusive and incredibly selfish at times. And two, he could tell that the girl behind him didn't want to be seen by the paparazzi either.
Luke shook his head, "Um, who are you talking about?" he asked.
The reporter looked aghast, "You don't know her? She is one of the most popular members of IMPACT!"
Luke blinked, "Um, I'm American. I don't know much about Japanese idols or anything like that," he said making the reporters disappointed, "And even if I did see her, I wouldn't tell you."
"What?!"
Luke crossed his arms, "If you're looking for this girl then that means she must have snuck away from wherever she was to get some downtime. Last thing she'd want is a couple of media vultures biting at her heels when she's trying to relax."
"Why you!" the reporter said gritting her teeth at Luke.
"Hey, calm down. It's just his opinion. Come on, we need to hurry up and get back otherwise we won't get any coverage." The cameraman behind the reporter said. The reporter gave Luke one last glare before she and the rest of the people she came with ended up leaving.
"I hate reporters." Luke huffed.
The girl behind him giggled, making him turn around, "I don't think I've ever heard someone call reporters media vultures." She said.
Luke shrugged, "It's a slang term we made up back in my hometown," he said, "Anyways, I believe that you should be getting back, right? Mikami-san?" Luke said quietly.
"You figured me out." Saya said scratching her cheek with her finger.
"Wasn't that difficult to figure out. Those reporters came here looking for you and you're wearing a mask when you look rather healthy." Luke said.
Saya giggled, "Yeah, fair point," she said taking off her mask, revealing quite possibly one of the most beautiful faces Luke had ever seen, "Allow me to properly introduce myself. Mikami Saya. Member of the idol group IMPACT." She said with a small bow.
Luke smiled and gave a bow himself, "A pleasure to meet you, Mikami-san. Luke Pierce, at your service."
The two looked at each other and started laughing, "It feels really weird acting all formal with someone my own age." Luke said.
"Agreed. Just call me Saya."
"Then feel free to call me Luke."
Saya nodded. The two just stood there for a few moments talking until Saya remembered something she had to do. She went back over to the counter and ordered a few more drinks to go. After receiving her order, she went back over to Luke but seemed to be having trouble carrying everything, so Luke decided to help her and carried the majority of her items in his hands.
"You don't have to do that." Saya said as she followed Luke out of the café.
"Its no problem at all. Helping people is what I do." Luke said.
As the duo started walking, they started talking and getting to know each other more. Saya found out that Luke came to Japan to attend UA. He wanted to become a hero that could give hope to people in small towns like his. To let them know that even in smaller places all over the world, they can still have someone who gives them hope.
Saya found that rather endearing and very inspirational. Traveling to another country to pursue your dreams wasn't an easy feat and the fact that he isn't doing this for himself but for other people made him a very incredible person in her eyes.
Luke found out that Saya was an only child and was born in Yokohama. She and her parents have a very good relationship, and her mother is someone who endorses her idol career constantly while her father is her unofficial bodyguard at times. She decided to become an idol after watching several different J-pop and K-pop groups and got inspired by them. He also found out that she could speak Japanese, Korean, English, and basic Taiwanese.
Luke was impressed by Saya's dedication to her craft. He didn't know much about the idol industry or the music industry at all but from talking to Saya he knew that it was a lot of hard work, but she loved doing it and he respected that.
They eventually came to a large convention center that had a decent amount of people around it. Luke figured that the event must be on a break or something like that so people still wanted to get as much face time with their idols as they could.
"Wow, I guess you guys have a pretty loyal fan base." Luke said.
Saya giggled, "Yeah, we are fairly popular. Come on, I know a side entrance we can use to get in."
Luke followed Saya around the large crowd to the side of the large building and a few bouncers their let the two of them in. Luke did get stopped but Saya gave him the okay. Luke followed the girl passed a large crowd of people, all of whom got very, very excited when they saw Saya walk passed them.
"It's Saya!"
"Saya-sama!"
"Saya-sama, over here!"
All the people in the crowd tried to make their way over Saya but thankfully there were enough bouncers and bodyguard to keep them all back. Saya gave the crowd a kind smile and a wave before she continued on her way with Luke right behind her. There was some talk about why Luke was following the girl, but he didn't really pay them any mind.
Saya led Luke to a door that looked like the entrance to a room and led him inside. Inside the room were 8 other girls, all incredibly beautiful, and all who were very curious as to why Luke was following Saya.
"Hey girls, I'm back. And I have drinks." Saya said as Luke placed the drinks on a table nearby.
"We knew you were going to pick up drinks for us Saya, we didn't expect for you to bring back such a handsome man." One girl with pure white skin said with a giggle as the other girls in the group grabbed their drinks.
"Very funny. Everyone this is Luke. We met at the café, and he helped me keep clear of a few nosy reporters." Saya explained.
"Nice to meet you all." Luke said with a bow.
A girl that had a smile like a bunny leaned over to two other girls, "Saya doesn't even need to try to get guys to follow her. She just needs to show up." She said making the other girls giggle.
"While I don't deny that, in my case, it takes a lot more than a pretty face to get me to follow a girl." Luke said, making everyone gasp from his perfect Korean.
Saya laughed, "Luke, I didn't know you spoke Korean."
Luke shrugged, "I worked in an Asian restaurant back in my hometown. The owners spoke a lot of different Asian languages and I picked up a lot during my time there."
The girls nodded, "Well, thanks for looking out for our Saya. Those reporters can be really annoying." A girl with very pretty eyes and long black hair said giving Luke flirty eyes.
"Don't I know it," Luke said, "Well, it was nice meeting you all and as much as I would like to stick around, I need to get back, so my aunt and uncle don't freak out." He said as he was about to leave.
"Luke, wait!"
Luke stopped in his tracks and turned around. Saya came up to him and lightly grabbed his hand, she pulled out a pen and wrote on his inner forearm. She pulled back and Luke saw that she wrote her number on his arm.
"Give me a call sometimes." Saya said cutely.
Luke chuckled and nodded, "I might just do that," he said making the two of them blush, "Wish me luck."
Saya giggled, "You wont need it. You're gonna do great."
"Thanks, Saya-chan," Luke said making the girl blush, "See you around."
Luke bid his goodbyes to the other girls and left the room. Saya watched Luke leave and turned around with a very happy grin on her face.
"Wow, I have never seen you look so happy Saya."
"You look like a giddy schoolgirl."
The other members of IMPACT giggled while Saya just stuck her tongue out at them and sat down in an empty chair. When she did her phone pinged showing that she got a text. She looked at it and it wasn't a number she recognized. But she opened it anyway.
Figured I should have given you my number as well.
-Luke
The one sentence made Saya smile. The boy she met that day was special. She didn't know how but he was, and she was happy that she ran into him. Hopefully she would again. But next time when he was a hero.
MHA
It was the morning of the UA Entrance Exam and Luke getting his workout for the morning. Or more like the year.
His uncle knew that UA was going to be one of the toughest things that his nephew was going to have to do so he wanted him to be prepared both physically and mentally. He woke Luke up at the crack of dawn and began his day with a review session of the various hero laws and how they differed from America and Japan. Luke felt like it was a bit unnecessary, but he knew he couldn't take anything for granted in this exam.
After that, his uncle put him to work and pressed him through what he liked to call, the Pro Wrestler Workout. Ryotaro spent the majority of his life as a Vale Tudo fighter before retiring and becoming a Pro Wrestler in Japan. His skills, athleticism, and natural size and strength helped him climb the ranks of the Pro Wrestling world and became the youngest champion in Japan's history to win a championship belt.
Ryotaro had since retired from the life and now ran a rather successful neighborhood gym that taught various types of self-defense skills and martial arts to anyone who wanted to learn. It made him very well respected in the neighborhood. Mayumi was the brains behind her husband and made her living as a nutritionist. She mainly worked from home and did a lot of logistical stuff, but she did help a lot of people in her neighborhood stay in a healthy lifestyle. It was actually thanks to her that Luke learned how to cook.
Luke was sweating buckets as he worked through an intense amount of squats. It was one of the most basic workouts Luke ever learned from his uncle, but it was very effective for getting in shape. After that it was lifting weights, free-running drills in the backyard, stretches, and then of course sparring. Luke had yet to defeat his uncle in a fair fight, but he did manage to land a few blows against the older man.
After their intense workout was over, Ryotaro dumped a large barrel full of ice water all over his nephew's body. This was a small way to not only clean his body but also to loosen up any sore muscles he might have had. Plus, it helped wake him up.
Luke took a hot shower after that and felt more relaxed than he ever did. His uncle's workout routines were intense and sometimes incredibly insane, but they worked. And they helped Luke become a better fighter and a better person.
With his body completely clean now, he dressed himself in a pair of black jeans, dark grey t-shirt, and a black and grey flannel shirt with the sleeves rolled up. He joined his aunt and uncle at the breakfast table along with Raito who was happily chowing down on some breakfast cereal.
Mayumi sighed and glared at her husband, "Oh my god, Ryo, why do you have to do this to Luke every time you see him?"
"What, it's good for the boy. Besides, I've been doing this type of training with him since he first started living with us." Ryotaro said sipping from the coffee cup.
"Yeah, and don't you remember what his mother did after she found out?"
Luke's uncle shivered as he remembered the intense ripping Luke's mother gave him when she found out about his training methods.
Luke chuckled, "Don't worry Uncle. I don't really mind the way you train me. It's gotten me to the skill level I'm at today."
Ryotaro grinned, "See, at least someone appreciates my methods." He said letting out a laugh which made Raito laugh as well.
Luke smiled and patted the small child on the head, "It's a crazy family we have isn't it, Raito?"
Raito giggled and gurgled at the older boy's actions. It was kind of nice having the smaller boy to talk to, even if he didn't really understand what Luke was saying. In these moments, Luke wondered if this was what his own older brother felt like when they were with each other.
"Good to know that there's at least one person that can handle dad's insanity."
Luke turned his head at the sudden female voice and smiled as he saw a young woman in her mid-20s with long reddish-brown hair that feel to her shoulders and a long set of bangs on the left side of her face. Her white skin was flawless with a small mole on her right cheek. She had a curvaceous yet well-built figure that was covered by a pair of leather pants with a button up red shirt, black cardigan sweater, and black knee-length boots.
Luke smiled and stood up, "Nee-san!" he said approaching the older girl with his arms open.
Yamada Natsuki was just as beautiful as Luke remembered and she was still as affectionate as ever.
Natsuki giggled and wrapped her young cousin in a tight hug, "Oh, Lu-chan, it is so good to see you! Look how much you've grown. So tall and strong and handsome," she said as the two separated, "No wonder you have a member of IMPACT wrapped around your finger."
Luke blinked, "Wait, what?"
"Oh, you didn't know," Natsuki giggled before showing Luke an article on her phone, "Ever since you showed up with Saya at that meet and greet and walked alongside her, your face is all over SNS with nearly everyone trying to figure out who you are. Guess you're making waves before you even become a hero."
Luke looked at the article and Natsuki was right. There was talk all over the internet about who Luke was, why he was in Japan, what his relationship with Saya was, etc. While the exposure was nice, he didn't really care about it. He didn't choose to become a hero so he could become famous.
Luke shrugged, "Well, can't say I expected this but damn! That was quick. This is why I hate cameras."
Natsuki giggled, "Well, get used to it. Once you become a hero, your face is going to be out there for all to see."
"I'll cross that bridge when I come to it Nee-san," Luke said looking up at the clock, "Speaking of, I need to get going."
Ryotaro stood up and tossed Luke his bag full of workout clothes while Natsuki and Mayumi kissed his cheek. Luke nodded to his family members, said goodbye to his little cousin, and headed out the door.
Time to make the dream a reality.

"Wow, this is a lot bigger than I thought." Luke said as he took in the sight of the massive blue arch of the UA entrance. Sure, he'd seen the campus in pictures and online and such, but he had never really seen the place in person. Even during his summers in Japan. But seeing it in person was like nothing he had ever seen before.
"Makes you feel small, doesn't it?"
Luke looked to his side at the sound of the voice to see none other than Genji right next to him.
"Genji," Luke said as the two boys high-fived, "Nice to see you made it."
"Yeah, mom and dad wanted to make sure I at least had something in my stomach and my siblings were taken care of before I left." Genji said with a smile.
"Yeah, same for me," Luke said as the two friends looked up at the UA arch, "Well, ready to get this started?" he asked his friend.
"Born ready." Genji said as he and Luke walked forward and stepped onto the UA campus. Ready for whatever the entrance exam would throw at them.
MHA
"Wassup UA Listeners! Can I get a hey?!"
The Voice Hero Present Mic was at the front of the auditorium where Luke, Genji, and all the other potential students. The larger than life hero was doing his best to hype all of the young people who were vying to get into UA. But unfortunately, no one was feeling it.
"Keeping it mellow huh? I can get behind that! Are you all psyched up for the exam?! Let me hear ya?!"
Luke chuckled, "Well, he's certainly enthusiastic."
"At least he's committed." Genji added on.
A small giggle next to Luke made him turn his head to see a girl his age with pale skin, pink eyes that reminded Luke of strawberries, and long hair that was a combination of pink and yellow falling just passed her shoulders. She was dressed in red and white striped shirt, pink stockings, black shoes, yellow sweater, and a white vest. She had rose gold bangles on both wrists, rose gold pinky rings, and rose shaped stud earrings in both ears. She was smiling at Luke with a lollipop in her mouth and tall boy can of lemon-lime soda.
Luke raised an eyebrow, "Should you really be eating all that sugar so early in the morning?" he asked.
The girl nodded, "Oh yeah, this is really nothing for me. My Quirk resolves around how much sugar I intake so I'm charging up for the challenge to come."
Luke nodded and turned back to Present Mic as he explained the parameters of the exam. It sounded fairly straightforward. The exam required the examinees to use their Quirks and other skills to take down as many villain robots that come their way. Each robot was numbered from 1, 2, and 3 and the more robots a person took down, the more points a person gained. And the more points you gained, the more likely you're admission to UA was going to be.
"Seems fairly straightforward, kind of sucks for the people that don't have combat related Quirks." Luke said.
Genji shrugged, "No one ever said life was easy."
"Ain't that the truth."
The candy girl nodded along with Luke and Genji as she finished off her lollipop and started digging into a chocolate bar.
"Excuse me, I have a question!" a blue haired boy shouted out as he stood up.
"Hit me!" Present Mic said.
"On the handout we received it says that there are four villains, not three! If this is a mistake on UA's part, then it is unacceptable! We are here to become the best of the best and a mistake of this measure is shameful to say the least! Also, you with the unkept hair," he said pointing to a boy with green hair in the crowd, "You have been muttering this entire time, it's distracting! If you aren't going to take things seriously then leave right now."
The people in the crowd laughed at the boy and Luke found that really annoying. He didn't want the guy to be put down like that, so he decided to say something about it.
Luke sighed and stood up before he addressed the blue haired boy, "Hey man, lay off. The fact that you are the only one that called him out on his muttering sounds like the only one that is being bothered is you," he said making the blue haired boy immediately shut up, "Plus, don't you think that interrupting our presenter in the middle of his explanation is more distracting then singling out one person?"
The people in the crowd began chuckling at Luke's statement as he sat back down.
"Okay, okay, thank you for calling in with your request Examinee #7111. As for your question, the 4th villain is more of an obstacle that comes your way. There's one in each area but they aren't worth any points. If you see one, I recommend staying clear of it.
"Thank you for your explanation. Please continue!" the boy said with a deep bow before he sat down.
"With that out of the way, I'll leave you all of with a few words of wisdom. As General Napoleon Bonaparte once said, "A true hero is one who overcomes life's misfortunes." Now go forth and give it everything you got! Let's hear a Plus Ultra!"
Again, the Voice Hero was met with silence while everyone stood up and began moving to their designated testing site.
Before they left, Luke and Genji fist bumped each other before they separated. They were both placed in different testing sites so all they could do now was wish each other luck. Luke then turned to the pink-yellow haired girl next to him who gave him a smile. She didn't appear to be in his site either, so he wished her well as she did the same.
Now Luke had to get his head in the game. His acceptance was riding on this next assignment.
MHA
Luke now stood among the other candidates in front of the massive testing site. Luke knew that the school had money, but this was just ridiculous. The entire site was basically a miniature city surrounded by an enormous stone wall. Luke guessed that it was made in such a way so that the examinees could go all out with their Quirks and not worry about any major collateral damage.
Whatever the reason, Luke was here now, and he planned to make the most of it. He was now dressed in a pair of blue workout pants, black sneakers, a sleeveless blue shirt, grey hoodie, and his necklace. He never went anywhere without it.
Luke was doing some stretches when he felt a presence behind him. He turned around to see a girl standing in front of him with a smile and her hands clasped behind her back. She was dressed in a tight tank top with black and white workout pants and matching sneakers. Her skin was flawless, and her eyes were a beautiful shade of violet. But that wasn't what caught Luke's attention the most. The girl had a set of ears atop her head and four long, fluffy tails sprouting out from the small of her back.
The girl giggled, "Well, I never knew that I'd meet an actual celebrity here at UA."
Luke blinked, "I'm sorry?" he said.
"Oh, well you're all over the web. The man with the mysterious connection to Saya of IMPACT." The girl informed Luke.
Luke chuckled, "Oh yeah, I heard about that this morning. So, I guess I'm just one big mystery huh?"
The girl nodded, "Yeah, no one has been able to find any real info on you so anyone who's anyone is trying to find out whatever they can about you."
Luke shrugged, "Well, I don't really care about the whole media thing. I don't really like cameras. And as for my relationship with Saya, we just met the other day. She's actually a really nice girl."
"So, are you two dating at all?" the girl asked bouncing on her feet with excitement and curiosity shining in her eyes.
Luke chuckled at her enthusiasm, "Sorry to burst your bubble but no. Saya and I literally just bumped into each other at a café, and we just started talking. We actually became friends rather easy. Nice to know that idols are just people once you get to know them."
The girl blinked, "Wait, that's it? I was kind of expecting some kind of juicy details on how you and Saya are long lost lovers or something like that."
Luke laughed, "No, nothing like that. Saya and I are just friends."
The girl nodded, "Oh, okay. Well, it's nice to see that regular people like us can still become friends with idols like Saya." She said making Luke chuckle.
"So, I take it you're an IMPACT fan?" Luke asked.
The girl nodded rapidly, "Absolutely! My sisters and I have been following their career ever since they debuted. So, I was really excited to meet someone who is close with them."
Luke smiled, "Well, next time I see the girls I'll be sure to let them know about one of their biggest fans, Ms…"
The girl did a small curtsey, "Megumi. Fujimori Megumi. It's nice to meet you Pierce-kun."
"Likewise, and please, call me Luke."
Ayako giggled, "Okay, Luke," she sad moving closer to him and running a finger up and down his chest, "So, if you aren't in a relationship, does that mean I have a chance?"
Luke chuckled, "Maybe but I'm not really looking for a romantic relationship right now."
Ayako shrugged, "Understandable. But just so you know, I'll be keeping my eye on you." She said giving Luke a saucy wink.
Luke smirked and just shook his head. He was no rookie when it came to flirtatious women, it happened a lot to both him and his older brother. They had a lot of women think they were attractive but thanks to the warnings their mother had taught them, neither of them had fallen for any woman that was easy.
Ayako seemed like a flirt, but Luke could tell she was a cool girl. He knew that if she made it into UA with him, they could be good friends.
Luke felt a rush of vibrations float past him, and it made him look up to see the Present Mic climb his way to the top of a platform.
"And…START!"
The minute those words left Present Mic's mouth, Luke immediately turned his body into wind and moved at high speeds around the other examinees to get towards the large, stone gates that were opening slowly.
As he neared the gates, Luke solidified his body and ran into the faux city. The other examinees were startled by his sudden actions but the notion that the exam had already began finally pierced through their brains and they all flooded into the city behind Luke.
Even though he was in the testing site, Luke didn't want to fall behind as he could feel the other examines following closely behind him. As he turned down on of the streets, Luke came face to faced with three 1-pointers. The one-wheeled, metallic beings peered down on Luke with their red eyes glowing brightly at the young man who approached.
"Target Acquired."
Luke smirked at the robot's proclamation, "Not today." He said before jumping into the air with a blast of wind. While in the air, Luke pulled his arm back and transformed his fist into swirling winds.
"Blast Gale!" Luke yelled as he punched his fist forward and launched a compressed burst of swirling, blue wind towards the robots that destroyed the robots instantly. Luke landed back on the ground and rolled upon impact before resting on his knee with his fist turned back to normal.
Luke Pierce
Quirk: Windstorm
Description: Luke is essentially a wind human. He can manipulate wind currents and wind pressure in whatever way he pleases from shaping it, hardening it, condensing the air pressure, even transforming his body into wind. All of these skills help Luke blow his enemies away!
Luke stood back up and breathed out a sigh. Something that always made him wonder about his Quirk was that whenever he used it, the wind currents turned a dark, cobalt blue. When he asked his mother and their family doctor about it, neither of them could really define it. I was just a mutation that was unique to him.
"Three down, a lot more to go. Time to get a move on."
MHA
"Kamaitachi no Mikazuki!"
Luke swung both of his arms forward and unleased twin, crescent shaped blades of wind at a group of 2-pointers that sliced them all in half.
Due to his time spent in Japan, Luke created several types of attacks to give him a leg up in a number of situations, thanks to his uncle's teachings. Thanks to his love of Japanese culture, Luke gave the majority of his attack's Japanese names with the others being named in English.
"Okay, a little over 60 points. A good start but the exam isn't over yet. I need to get as many more points as I can."
Luke continued to move through the faux city, destroying robots and helping any other examinees that looked like they were struggling. He wanted to pass of course but he wasn't so heartless that he would just ignore someone in trouble.
Luke just took down a duo of 3-pointers before he turned his head and saw several 2-pointers attacking a boy with the head of a crow. The crow boy seemed to be emitting a shadow-like entity from his body that he was using to fight off the attacking robots. He was doing well but it was clear he was struggling. Luke summoned a miniature tornado below his feet and used it to maneuver over to the crow boy.
Just as a 2-pointer was about to attack the boy from behind, Luke impaled the robot with a shower of hardened wind blades. Luke landed right behind the crow boy and the two stood back to back.
"Take out the ones in front, I got your back covered." Luke said as the crow boy nodded. He summoned his shadowy monster while Luke fought off the remaining robots in front of him with blasts of wind while protecting both himself and the boy behind him with wind barriers any chance he could. The crow boy finished off the robots in front of him while Luke did the same. The two boys took the chance to recover before turning back to each other.
"Thank you for the assistance. I appreciate it." The crow boy said.
Luke nodded, "My pleasure. After all, heroes help people, right?"
The crow boy smirked and nodded, "Very true. Tokoyami Fumikage."
"Luke Pierce."
The two boys shook hands before they turned away from one another, while they both were grateful for the additional help they had, right now, they had a test to finish.
MHA
With time winding down, Luke knew that if he wanted to get any additional points then he was going to need to grab them fast.
He was currently moving down the streets of the faux city riding the tornado beneath his feet. While he would have normally used his wind transformation to get around faster, that technique took a lot more out of Luke and drained his stamina a lot faster. Using his tornado, didn't drain as much from him.
He moved through the battlefield like a literally gust of wind. He used his tornado to move around, use his wind body to evade attacks, and used bursts of wind or solidified wind weapons to slice, break, and destroy any robots that came near him to gain as many points as he could before time ran out.
As he came to the center of the faux city, he looked over and saw Megumi on the ground with a large gash on her head, her body scuffed up with cuts and bruises, and a large 3-pointer hovering over her. Luke's instincts took over and he transformed into his wind body form and immediately made it over to where Megumi was.
Luke solidified right in front of Megumi and with a loud roar, Luke jumped summoned a large wind axe that he used to slice the 3-pointer in half. Luke stood up triumphantly before he turned back around to get a better look at Megumi.
"Damn." Luke said as he dispersed his axe. He knelt down next to the girl and saw that she had taken a good beating.
"Jeez, Megumi, what the hell happened to you?" he said as he moved the fox girl into a sitting position and rested her against a piece of wrecked concrete so she could rest her injuries.
Megumi gasped and looked at Luke, "I got sneak attacked by a bunch of robots. I did my best to get away but as I tried, I got caught up in a huge melee with some of the other examinees. I managed to transform and barely made it out."
Luke nodded, "Looks like you got injured though," he said looking Megumi over, "Damn, people really need to check their surroundings more often."
Luke reached into one of the pockets on his pants and pulled out a miniature first-aid kit. He then started to apply different antibiotics and pain relief cream to Megumi's open wounds and wrapping them up with bandages.
"You carried a first aid kit with you?" Megumi asked.
Luke chuckled, "My older cousin dropped it into my bag with all my workout clothes. Didn't even know she did it. Guess I should count my blessings that she did."
Luke finished wrapping up Megumi's injuries he looked around and saw that there were a few other examinees had gotten caught in the crossfire and were all injured and hurt. But that didn't stop the robots from coming after them.
"Damn, this test is insane!" Luke yelled out before he transformed into wind and moved about through the center of the faux city. He materialized with just enough time to grab any down and out examinee before they got crushed by a robot. The process took time and it drained Luke of his stamina faster than he planned but he wasn't about to let people get stomped on by a couple robots that didn't know how to hold back.
With the examinees out of the way, the robots then focused their attention on Luke as he was the only one around that was still kicking. But that worked just fine for him.
Luke had just brought over another examinee, a handsome blonde boy with dark blue eyes, and looked him over for a few moments. His injuries were light, but he still needed to sit out for a little while before he could move around.
"I appreciate the help dude, but this leaves you wide open. The villain bots are going to be on you…right now!"
Luke turned around and saw that the boy was right. 5 three pointers, 4 two pointers, and 7 1-pointers were all converging on where Luke and the injured examinees were. The three pointers all launched missiles from their silos which all made their way over to where Luke was. Quickly jumping to his feet, Luke threw both of his hands forward and summoned a massive, rectangular shield of solidified blue wind to block the oncoming missiles.
"Zephyr Barricade!"
Luke willed his shield to move forward, and it collided with the oncoming robots, halting them in their path. Luke dispersed the barricade and transformed his lower body into a miniature tornado and moved his way towards the oncoming robot horde. Right before he made contact, Luke jumped into the air and solidified his legs once more. He pulled his arms back and cupped his hands together to create a swirling sphere of wind.
Luke thrusted his hands forward and released several lance-shaped gusts of wind towards the group of robots, "Cyclone Lancer!"
The lances impacted with the robots and pierced their metal hulls, stopping them in their tracks. Luke landed back on the ground and looked around to make sure that there were no more robots around him before making his way back to the group.
Luke went back over to the same boy he was patching up earlier who was looking up at Luke like he had grown a second head, "Holy…dude. That was insane."
Luke chuckled, "Just doing what a hero does."
After patching up the last of the injured people, Luke got back to his feet, but a rush of air hit the back of his skull making his body go rigid. An interesting facet of his Quirk was that it gave Luke a sort of early warning system. Whenever there was a disturbance in the air or around him, Luke would feel it as a burst of air rushing against him.
"Oh boy," he said turning around, "Something is coming."
As if answering to his call, a loud thud echoed throughout the entire cityscape. Luke looked up and his blood ran cold. The 0-pointer, larger than anything Luke had ever seen, stalked its way up and stood as tall as the biggest building in the area. The enormous metallic monstrosity skulked its way through the testing site.
"Son of a bitch," Luke breathed out, "I know Present Mic said that it was an obstacle that we needed to avoid but this is just way too much."
As the 0-pointer got closer, Luke looked behind him and saw that the injured examines that he patched up were doing what they could to get away from the oncoming colossus, but their exhaustion and injuries clearly held them back.
Luke looked back and forth before letting out a sigh, "There is no way these guys will be able to get clear. I'm going to have to stop that giant from getting any closer."
Megumi heard what Luke said and looked over at him, "Are you insane? There's no way that you can take that thing down on your own."
Luke looked over at the fox girl with a smile, "Oh trust me on this. I've taken down some pretty crazy things in my lifetime."
Luke was dead serious when he said that. Growing up in a small town in the Midwest wasn't the easiest thing in the world for Luke. As one of the only young men of color in the area and the younger brother of the town's star football player along with having a Quirkless mother made Luke the target for pretty much every kind of bully method and put down you could imagine. Luke had learned to take whatever abuse came his way, both physical and emotional, as long as the bullies stayed away from any insults about his mother or brother.
If they did, Luke went off.
After Luke's Quirk manifested, his family was shocked to see just how strong it was. Luke's power over wind was like nothing they had ever seen. Even when his mother told him about how his Quirk was potentially even stronger than his own father's Luke was both happy but also a little bit scared. He wanted to use his Quirk properly so that he wouldn't hurt anyone.
At least anyone who didn't deserve it.
Training with his uncle and his Mentor back in Minnesota brought Luke up to the strength and skill level that he was in now. During his training, both his uncle and his Mentor put him against some of the biggest and baddest training partners that he never expected to be pitted against, but he was thankful for each experience that he had from both of them.
Because now, nothing in the world scared him.
Taking a deep breath, Luke's eyes flashed a deep cobalt-silver color signaling that his powers were at full capacity. Instead of focusing on his legs, Luke focused on his feet and transformed them into pure wind before rushing at the 0-pointer at full speed. Once he was in range, Luke aimed his feet at an angle and launched himself into the air. As he rose upward, Luke began spinning and amassed large amounts of swirling winds around him. Engulfing himself in a large tornado.
The tornado began to rise higher and higher before it was lifted off the ground. Inside, Luke could feel the tornado getting stronger. He willed the winds around him to condense and focus on himself so they wouldn't get out of control and harm anyone that was around him. Once the tornado had reached the height he wanted, Luke angled it so that the base of the tornado would be aimed at the 0-pointer's chest.
Luke bared down on the robot and leaned into the attack at full force and drop kicked the center of the 0-pointer.
"Tenkūsen! (Sky Drill)!"
The full power of the tornado Luke had created was unleashed upon the 0-pointer, its metallic chest caving in by the sheer force of the impact. Luke unleashed a savage roar as he drilled into the robot's chest. Luke didn't stop his attack until he felt no more resistance against his tornado. Luke came out of the 0-pointer's chest, spinning as he did and coming into a slide as he hit the ground.
He breathed out a sigh of relief and let his body settle down from the massive rush of vibrations coursing through his body, a side effect of straining his Quirk. Luke shifted into his wind form and reappeared right in front of the 0-pointer, just as the massive robot fell backward and hit the ground with a crashing thud. A massive dust cloud burst through the area, causing the surrounding examinees to shield their eyes but Luke just continued walking back towards the group of injured examinees that he was tending to earlier.
"Holy shit, did you see that?"
"The guy took down the 0-pointer in one hit and he doesn't even look winded!"
"I didn't even think he was that strong!"
"He did that after patching up the examinees that got hurt?"
"Damn, the dude has one hell of a heart."
Luke didn't bother listening to what the other examinees around him were saying. In his eyes, the only thing he did was keep a threat that could have hurt people at bay. As long as he could help people. He didn't really care about what others had to say about him.
MHA
Over a week had passed since the Entrance Exam and Luke was starting to feel restless. After getting all the injured examinees to the on-site nurse Recovery Girl, he made his way out of the exam site, changed his clothes, and met up with Genji outside. As the two left, they were stopped by the same blonde boy that Luke had patched up earlier came out and thanked Luke for what he did.
He introduced himself as Sagasawa Hikaru and the three boys ended up falling into an easy friendship. The trio decided to treat themselves to a decent lunch after the ordeal they had and headed to a traditional Japanese diner where they just talked and unwound. After their meal they all exchanged numbers and went on their separate ways.
All they could do now was wait.
Now Luke was sitting in the living room of his aunt and uncle's home with his adorable little cousin Raito in his lap.
Luke enjoyed spending time with his younger cousin and hoped that when the small child grew up, he could still be as close to the boy as he was now. It was kind of nice being an older sibling.
"Luke," the boy looked up and saw his aunt and uncle walking into the room with a white envelope, "Your results are here." His aunt said.
Luke took a deep breath in and nodded. Mayumi handed her nephew his letter and took her youngest child, despite his protest, in her arms. Luke steeled himself and opened the envelope, inside wasn't a letter but instead was a small round disk.
"Huh, didn't expect that." Luke said as he looked the disk over. The disk began to flash a few times, so he set it down. Not a second later, a bright hologram appeared from the disk and displayed the hulking form of The Number One Hero himself All Might.
"Greetings, I Am Here…as a projection!"
"Whoa, dude certainly is larger than life." Luke said as Raito giggled over the sight of the tall hero.
"Hello Young Pierce, I am here to give you the results of your Entrance Exam. Why? Because I am going to be an instructor at UA this year!"
"Whoa, the Number One Hero becoming a teacher? Guess anything is possible." Luke said.
"Now, in terms of your written exam, well done young man! You scored in one of the highest percentiles that we've ever had! Good work," All Might say making Ryotaro rubbed Luke's head, "Now in terms of your physical exam, my word Young Pierce, you exceeded all of our expectations!"
Clips of Luke demolishing robots from the moment he stepped into the faux city played in front of him and the first time in a long time, Luke felt embarrassed. He had never really seen himself fighting like this before or had his skills on display for his family members, so when All Might started playing the videos, he felt his face grow warm.
Raito let out several small giggles and did his best to copy Luke's movements that he saw in front of him.
"Ara, are you trying to copy Luke-onii-chan?" Mayumi giggled as Raito reached out towards the video in front of him, making his father laugh as well.
"Your skills in the physical exam were some of the most impressive that we at UA have seen in a long time. You displayed intellect, awareness of your surroundings, teamwork, and above all else, you put others before yourself. The true markings of a hero."
The video then shifted to where Luke pulled the inured examinees out of danger and took the time to patch them up while taking down robots at the same time. It then cut to Luke taking down 0-pointer and going right back to helping out the other examinees.
"You put yourself in harm's way so that those who were injured wouldn't be caught in the crossfire of the 0-pointer's path. And even made sure that the ones that were injured got the proper help they needed to make sure that there wouldn't be any lasting injuries. Those were the true actions of a hero and led you to gain more hero points than any other in your exam site."
"Wow, wait, hero points?" Luke asked aloud.
"That's right! In addition to the villain points examinees would receive by destroying the villain robots, we also awarded hero points by doing heroic acts! Which was something that you did very efficiently."
A screen depicting the top ten examinees that took the exam appeared with Luke's name at the top with 95 villain points and 55 hero points. He didn't see Genji's, Hikaru's, or Megumi's names at the top, but he knew that with their skills that he they made it in. At least that was what he hoped.
"Congratulations Young Pierce, welcome to your Hero Academia!"
With that, All Might disappeared, and everyone was left speechless. It took Luke only a few second to get back into the right headspace and soon, he felt a smile creep onto his face.
"I made it. I made it into UA," he cheered before throwing his hands up into the air, "Hell Yeah!"
"Dah, bah!" Raito squealed out doing his best to mimic Luke.
Mayumi giggled, "How adorable. Congratulations Lu-chan. You did great." She said kissing Luke on the cheek.
Ryotaro patted Luke on the shoulder, "Well done nephew, all that training did some work after all."
Luke smiled, "Thanks uncle. I couldn't have gotten to where I am without your help," Luke's phone soon went off and he saw that it was his new friends, "Oh, it's the guys. I better go let them know." He said before he walked out back to his room.
Mayumi and Ryotaro chuckled at their nephew's actions, "Wow, he's really excited." Mayumi said.
"Of course, he is and he deserves to be," Ryotaro said folding his arms, "And it's a good thing he did. The world could use more heroes like him."
(Hello everyone, Kuro no Okami 23 here! As some of you may know, I decided to rewrite my previous story of True Justice into this one. I felt like I could do more with what I had so I decided to do a rewrite. One of the things that hasn't changed is that the members of IMPACT are still based on the members of TWICE. #Once. So Saya is based on Sana. My personal bias.
Anywho, enjoy the progress of this story and remember to follow. Thank you!)
