This is inspired by Beauty and the Beast and Disney Pixar's Brave, but much darker.
Before you all say something, I get that Striker doesn't want to lose his kid (i.e. Jake) like he did his wife (i.e. Jane), but that's no excuse for him to come off as abusive or gaslighting, especially towards Blitzo and Moxxie. Some would think it's out of character, despite Striker being an "asshole". I insist that I don't find it out of character at all. That doesn't mean I'm trying to make his kids brats, who try to make their father look bad. At least, I don't think that. I also wouldn't be surprised if any of Striker's kids grew up hating him.
Besides, Striker isn't entirely blameless when it comes to disrespecting Blitzo and Moxxie, who try to help him as friends, especially when it comes to raising his kid. Even if I was a single parent who lost her husband, I wouldn't be as rude as Striker because I know that doesn't give me that right. That's why I have Striker's wives and kids and I.M.P. chew Striker out.
I don't regret writing stories like that. I know I'm making Striker look like a terrible father, but I'm not sorry. That's just how I feel about him sometimes in certain fics I've read. No offense to anyone who wrote those fics.
I have a like/hate feeling for Striker, anyway and I agree with anyone who says that he doesn't care about anyone but himself and that he can be immature. No matter what anyone says, I'm rooting for the ones he hurt or wronged.
If you don't like it, don't look at it.
Chapter 1
Striker laughed evilly as he was about to kill a target with his blessed rifle.
"Striker, what in HELL are you doing?" a familiar voice demanded.
Striker turned around to see an angry Blitzo.
"Oh, Blitz," Striker replied, "I was about to do you a favor by killing someone who treats you like a plaything." He walked away with the rifle in hand.
Blitzo left the room to warn his employees.
…
"Attention, folks!" Blitzo announced when he went inside the office later in the day, "Striker is about to kill Stolas."
"WHAT?!" Kore, Kaitlin, Serenity, and Jane, Striker's wives cried in shock. Even their children, Seth, Adeline, Maria, and Jake gasped in shock when they heard this.
"If we hurry, he won't get away with it!"
He, Moxxie, Millie, Loona, and Striker's wives and children saw Striker about to bring his target until a figure he was about to off fled the scene.
"What the FUCK was that, Blitz?!"
"That…was the sound…" Blitzo began with a smug smirk.
"Of a FUCKING DIVORCE!" Kaitlin finished for him and laughed hysterically, giving Striker two fingers.
…
That night, Serenity, Maria, and Adeline were safe in a bedroom as Serenity did her best to comfort her daughters, while Kaitlin, Blitzo, and the others were in the hallway, confronted by Striker once again.
"Why the fuck did you stop me?" Striker demanded.
"Because it was wrong," Kaitlin replied.
"Well, you should've stayed out of it."
"Not only that, he treats his daughter with love and respect, but what do you do?" Blitzo demanded, "You've been spending time trying to kill him, instead of spending time with us."
"I'm doing this to make an example of those who sexually abuse other imps."
"But not all of them are like that and you know it!" Kore snapped.
"We let it slide for years because our kids were too young to understand, Striker," said Kaitlin, "But now that they know the truth, I cannot do this anymore. I want you out, NOW." She gestured at the door.
"What do you mean OUT?" Striker retaliated back.
"She means out," Blitzo replied, "Out of this house. Out of our lives."
"We are getting the DIVORCE," Kaitlin finished, making Striker fume inwardly.
"Fine! I don't plan on staying in this place with you traitorous and nosy people!"
"Good for you because you have no respect for us!" Moxxie snapped.
"You're no different from Travers, Gustav, Bathory, or Stella!" Kaitlin snapped, "Because you don't care about your family and friends!"
Now, this was the last straw for Striker. "Well, maybe I'd be better off without wives, kids, and friends like YOU!" The lines around Striker's eyes thickened and his tail rattled as he said those words.
Kore, Seth, Moxxie, Millie, Loona, Jake, Jane, Blitzo, and Kaitlin gasped in shock, anger, and betrayal at Striker's hurtful words. Then they glared at him.
Striker gasped in shock and remorse, realizing what he'd just said.
"Guys, I'm sorry," Striker tried to apologize.
"Just pack up your shit and get out!" Blitzo snapped.
"Yeah because we're sick of your shit!" Moxxie fumed, just as angry as Blitzo.
Striker tried to put a hand on Jake's shoulder, but the response he got from Jake was his son's angry outburst, "THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!" Jake turned away, tears filling his face and left his father alone.
"Not to mention, you're a disgrace to being a father and a husband," Kaitlin added furiously, making Striker wince, "And for that, I hate you! I hate you! I hate you. I hate you. The next time there's a dangerous mission and when you're too hard on our kids, I'd listen to Blitz and Moxxie! Chances are there are people who would ransack the I.M.P. building or come back to abduct the kids, while we're gone! You'll never know! Then you'll regret leaving them behind and lashing out at them and your friends and hurting them. Thus, there are people who would angrily threaten to destroy your blessed weapons or break your guitar if you don't agree to bring them along. Thus, Loona doesn't always watch the kids closely."
"I heard that," Loona said, offended when she heard her name.
"I agree with Kaitlin, Loony," Blitzo told her.
Kaitlin turned to glance at Blitzo. "Thanks, Blitz." Turning back to Striker, she added, "No wonder why the kids end up tagging along. Not to mention, you end up putting yourself in danger without knowing it and get yourself caught! The next time you have the nerve to push others away, I'd listen to Blitz and Moxxie! They're the ones who made sense when it comes to accepting you need help sometimes! It's over! I'm done!" She ran out of the room, breaking down in tears.
"I should've taken Jake into custody when I had the chance!" Jane snapped before walking away.
"We're going to warn Stolas whether you like it or not!" Kore yelled. Then she, Seth, Kaitlin, Blitzo, Loona, Jake, Jane, Moxxie, and Millie left the room, angrily walking away from him and glared at him with disappointment.
Striker turned to the bed, starting to pack up his belongings in shame. As he'd done so, he thought about what he'd done and what they'd said to him. "Oh, no, what have I done?" He started to sob.
"Come one, Adeline, Maria, and Serenity," Kore said.
"So was it true that Daddy treated you guys badly?" Maria asked.
"I'm afraid so, Maria," Serenity answered for her.
"He never wanted to have kids, not even Jake," Jane recalled.
"We've got something in common, Jane," Kore told her.
Everyone started heading inside the I.M.P van on their way to Stolas'.
…
Striker continued to cry as he packed up his things, knowing he wasn't needed anymore because he turned his own family against him.
Suddenly, someone stepped into the room, seeing the sad imp weep. "Striker, it's okay. You'll figure it out."
"No…I can't. I've ruined everything. There's no chance to save Hell now…and it's all my fault." Striker's sobs increased as he hyperventilated.
The figure came closer and rubbed on his back and Striker slowly turned to see who it was. It was a large horse head.
"Bombproof?" he said and he rubbed the horse's head.
…
The imps and hellhound came to a castle in Pride.
Blitzo knocked on the door and someone answered it.
"Can I help you, Blitzy?" the voice asked.
"Yeah, we just got into a fight with Striker, who tried to kill you," Blitzo answered.
Stolas thought for a moment. "Oh, come in, Blitzy."
Blitzo, Moxxie, Loona, Millie, and Striker's wives and kids stepped into the mansion and the door closed for them.
"Now, you were saying," Stolas said.
"Oh, after Striker tried to kill you, his wives, kids, and I intervened after I warned them. Then he got all mad because we stopped him, so Kaitlin demanded a divorce since she can longer put up with him killing overlords since it got out of hand and not all of them try to hurt people."
"That's true, Blitzy. I should straighten him out."
"How?"
"I have ways, darling. Ta-ta."
POOF!
He disappeared in a flash.
…
Once Striker finished packing, he looked up to see a Goetia demon looking down upon him with a cold glare. Striker backed away in fright, before he got down on his knees and began to apologize.
But it was no use. Stolas heard so much about him trying to kill him and him mistreating his wives, kids, and I.M.P. He gave a cold glare again before he waved his hands, creating a red aura that went around a terrified Striker.
"You have been deceived by your own cold heart," Stolas said angrily, "A curse shall be placed upon you. Unless you stop killing overlords that don't deserve it, you shall forever remain a beast."
Striker felt his hands and feet were gradually changing into paws with claws. As he went on his hands and knees, his clothes began to rip apart from the excess size he grew and whatever remained fell to the floor. He no longer had a long tail that rattled. Instead, his tail was very tiny.
Once the transformation was over, Stolas and the aura disappeared, leaving Striker alone. Striker sat down before he looked at his newly formed paws...a look of terror and horror swept across his now white furry face. Ashamed of himself, he covered his face with his paws in shame and tears began to stream down his face.
If he'd only stop killing overlords since not all of them were bad, he wouldn't be in this miserable state. If he could earn his wives' and kids' trust along with I.M.P., the spell shall be broken. If not, he'd end up being a bear forever. Who would ever love a monster like him, anyway?
AN: I know, I went too far on chewing out Striker, but he needed to hear it. He had it coming and he could use a reality check, especially from Blitzo and Moxxie.
If you don't like it, don't comment or don't look at it. Also, I don't want any comments saying, "I don't like how you're portraying Striker in this", "Your character is a bitch!" or "Jake or this child character is a brat!" because I find it rude, unless you want the same thing to happen to you. My character happens to be me. I am, however, okay with comments like "I hate Striker so much in this fic/story" or "Striker's an asshole".
I was told by one of my online friends that me telling Striker off would be interesting and how cute it is that Striker and I both have a love/hate relationship.
Travers, Gustav, and Bathory (mentioned) belong to LadyAnaconda.
