Elena Gilbert was not an angry person.
She was calm and she was kind and she was compassionate and she was forgiving and it was fine. Besides, being angry didn't do her any good. She was human and fragile; lashing out would only provoke all the scary things that go bump in the night. As scared and sad and overwhelmed as she was, Elena wanted to live.
So, Elena Gilbert was not an angry person.
Then, Elena Gilbert died.
Being a vampire hasn't changed much. She is still kind and compassionate and forgiving and it is still fine. She is still sad and scared and overwhelmed. Most days she still wants to live, even in this undeath.
Elena Gilbert has never been an angry person.
But.
There is a hunter on his knees before her, his blood on her chin. He had kidnapped Matt and April. He had pointed a gun at her little brother. He is holding a stake and driving it into her stomach.
Elena is the most fragile of her supernatural friends. She is still scared of the things that go bump in the night.
But Elena Gilbert died and being a vampire has changed everything.
Elena Gilbert is angry.
In the tunnels underneath a little town called Mystic Falls, a man's neck snaps in Elena's hands, and it sounds like victory bells.

This is not the first tvd thing I've written, but it is the first I've finished. And let me tell ya, aside from the season one finale, and the episodes with prime Damon whump, this was my favorite. Elena Gilbert going absolutely feral, not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES in ONE EPISODE
*chef's kiss*
This show rarely uses Elena to her full potential. She typically serves as a plot device more than a main character, which is a shame because moments like this, where Elena is wielding all that power she holds, make her a much more interesting character. That's my opinion anyway.
I'd love to hear anything you have to tell me about what you enjoyed, what you would recommend, any thoughts you have(and some fic recommendations would be much appreciated) but please note that this was the last episode I've watched so DONT GIVE ME SPOILERS PLEASE AND THANK YOU.
