Chapter 4 The Trip To Town

(Pups are playing tag outside and Marshall is watching from balcony)

Marshall: *sighs*

(Chase walks up behind Marshall, who doesn't notice)

Chase: You okay Marshall?

Marshall: Ahhhhh! Oh, hey Chase. I'm fine. Just tired of watching everyone else get to play and stuff.

Chase: Yeah I get it. But you only have a week left of immobility so… that's good!

Marshall: Yeah, I'd much rather be now though.

Chase: You'll survive. You've done it for 2 weeks already.

Marshall: Yeah. It's just so boring doing the same things everyday.

Chase: I don't doubt it. You know what?

Marshall: What?

Chase: How about we go to town tomorrow?

Marshall: And do what?

Chase: I don't know but Adventure Bay hasn't seen you in a while so we could just go walk around.

Marshall: That could work but you have to help me put my uniform on before we go.

Chase: What? Why?

Marshall: Chase… look at me.

Chase: Oh yeah. Okay will do.

Marshall: Thanks Chase.

Chase: No problem.

(The pups get ready and head off into town)

(While driving in to town)

Chase: So, where do you want to go first?

Marshall: Don't care.

Chase: Alright, we'll go towards the stores by Mr. Porter's.

Marshall: Sounds good.

(They pull up to Mr. Porter's)

(Mr. Porter is outside restocking the fruit when he notices Chase and Marshall walking up)

Mr. Porter: Long time no see Marshall! How are you holding up?

Marshall: I feel fine… just bored.

Mr. Porter: I can only imagine. How much longer are you out for?

Marshall: I have a week left of not moving and then I'll be out for a few more doing rehab.

Mr. Porter: That's good! Well it could be worse.

Marshall: It sure could have. Doctor's were fascinated that I didn't sustain any other major injuries.

Mr. Porter: So what exactly happened? I've heard multiple stories.

Marshall: Well, long story short, I fell off of a cliff.

Mr. Porter: Okay well, was it at least while trying to save someone?

Marshall: No… I was chasing a volleyball and didn't see the cliff ahead of me.

Mr. Porter: Oh, we that does sound like something Marshall would do.

Marshall: Yeah. (Laughing)

Mr. Porter: Alright well, Alex was worried about you. He wanted to come visit multiple times but I wouldn't let him. I told him that you were resting and that he doesn't need to bother you.

Marshall: So that's why he never showed up. I knew he would try to. Well he is welcome to come by anytime. I have nothing better to do anyway.

Mr. Porter: Okay. If I were to guess, he will probably be there later tonight.

Marshall: Probably.

Mr. Porter: Alright, well, take care!

Marshall: Thanks!
