"Lyndy!" Seth yelled.
Lyndy turned off the faucet and quickly dried her hands before moving in the direction of his voice. He was supposed to go to bed since he had an early morning interview. She on the other hand could then use the evening hours finishing her own work with grading essays.
"Lyndy!" He yelled again.
"I'm coming!" She yelled back.
She found him standing just inside the bedroom. He had stripped down to his boxers but wasn't in bed where he was supposed to be.
"Shouldn't you be in bed by now?" She asked.
"Don't use your teacher voice on me," he said.
She giggled lowly and stared directly into his eyes. There was something that always calmed him down when those chestnut brown eyes looked at him like that. Her long, sunflower blonde hair was pulled back in a messy bun. She had hours of work ahead of her, and he felt guilty for taking away some of her precious time. Her work was just as important as his.
"What is it, Seth?" She asked.
"There's a spider," he answered.
She smirked and let her eyes wander around the walls. The only thing that brought the mighty Seth Rollins to his knees was spiders.
"I don't see any," she said.
"It's on my fucking pillow!" He hissed.
She walked over to the bed. There, on his pillow, was indeed a spider. And not a small one either. She understood why he was so scared.
"It's a big boy," she said.
"Get rid of it, please," he pleaded. "Kill it."
"We don't kill animals in this house," she said.
She picked up the spider and walked towards him. He jumped out of the door and moved to the side. She walked through the house, opened the patio door, and carried the spider outside. He stayed inside, watching how she carefully placed the spider down in a bush. She got back inside, closed the patio door, and smiled at him.
"You're safe now," she said.
"Thank you," he said.
He pulled her in for a hug and a kiss.
"I love you," he said.
"I love you too," she said. "You need some sleep."
"I wish I didn't," he smirked. "I can go with an hour less sleep."
"I still have work," she said.
"Right, work," he chuckled.
He leaned down for another kiss. He wouldn't take up anymore of her time tonight.
"Tomorrow," he said.
"What happens tomorrow?" She asked.
"You'll see," he smirked again. "We're both off duty after my interview, and I'm rewarding you for saving me from the evil spider. I know it wanted to eat me. You can't convince me otherwise."
"Go to bed," she laughed.
He grinned at her, pecked her lips, and walked back to the bedroom. He turned off the light and got under the covers. He yawned, stretched his body, and closed his eyes. He needed to sleep. He needed to be well rested tomorrow. Not just for the interview, but also for the promise he had just made.
