Apollo smiled his flashing smile while walking through the hunters' camp, carrying something shrouded by a blue blanket with a pattern of yellow suns and white moons. His eyes glinted with happiness and surprise that he was oblivious of being bow-pointed by the inhabitants of the camp.
Remember the last time he didn't knock, the Sun God knocked on the tent and waited patiently before his sweet little sister answered the door with an annoyed look on her face, as if she were disturbed from her own stack of paperwork.
Ignoring her glare when she saw him, Apollo began to speak with a large smile of happiness. "I have a gift for you, my little sister!"
"I'M NOT YOUR LITTLE SISTER!" Apollo nodded as if he wasn't listening. Sighing in annoyance while pinching the bridge of her nose, Artemis looked at the bundle and quirked an annoyed eyebrow. "Did you take a rock and put a blanket around it?"
Laughing at his sister's 'joke', he answered with the same oblivious but happy tone. "Nonsense Artemis! Remember when I asked for your hair some time ago? You were muttering something about not seeing how this could go wrong." He balanced the bundle he is carrying before placing his open hand on his chin with a thoughtful look on his face.
Seeing her nod, he continued his explanation. "After you gave that to me, I was granted a bright idea from that humble brain of mine." Apollo ignored his sister's scoff. "So I went ahead and plucked my own hair out and went to our lovely Aunt Hestia, asking her a teeny tiny small favor." He placed a small distance between thumb and pointy fingers.
Artemis's eyes went wide in shock as she began an uncharacteristic smile and squealed like a maiden. "YOU BROUGHT AUNT HESTIA'S CHOCOLATE?!"
Chuckling at the state his sister is in, which she answered with a pout after calming herself down, he continued his spiel. "Not quite! I asked her to help me use the Hearth from Constantinople and combine both pieces of hair together in the hearth! Don't forget the clay too!" He winked. Smiling very brightly like the sun, causing a hunter or two to fall down, claiming they looked at the sun for too long.
"YOU WHAT?!" Artemis growled at the fact her scatterbrained brother just wasted their Aunt's time just burning two pieces of hair in a hearth.
"No need to thank me!" Still oblivious to the current state of his sister, he finally finished his entire explanation. "It was quite interesting if I do say so myself. Aunt Hestia and I didn't expect the combination of her control of the Hearth combined with the two hairs turned into this little one here! So say hello to Apollo Jr.!" He pulled the blanket a bit down and showcased his sister to the new arrival.
Artemis's Jaw dropped along with the other hunters around the camp while she walked towards Apollo.
The baby opened his eyes and looked at her with a smile that she could clearly connect to her brother. She stared at the baby's silvery moonlight orbs with a sunlight shine from them. She looked at his hair of yellows, reds, and black tints at the edges of the hair stalks.
Blinking, she looked at the baby's face and felt a twinge in her heart with warmth spreading out from it. She quickly placed her hands at the baby's sides and pulled it so they were looking at each other eye to eye.
Looking at her, the baby gurgled cutely. He placed his hands out of the blanket and hugged her face and laughed in joy of essentially seeing his mother.
Feeling more warmth from her heart and warm tears falling from her eyes, she hugged the baby back with a content smile. "I'll name you Chóros." The mother said to her son with a smile that melts away the night breeze around the two.
"I still say we name him Apollo Jr." Ruffling the back of his head, Apollo questioned in a somewhat carefree smile after starting to notice the hunters still bow-pointing at the sun god.
"Your father's silly, isn't he Chóros?" Artemis asked her son as she pulled him out of her embrace but still held onto him while looking at each other. The young sun and moon laughed and clapped, as if agreeing to what she said.
"Traitor." The future lover of haikus muttered to himself as low as possible. Unfortunately, his sister heard him and gave him a warning look. Seeing this he quickly began nodding with a nervous smile. "I-I mean yes! Chóros is a much better name than Apollo Jr.!" He laughed nervously.
Artemis nodded. Looking back at her yawning young child of the moon and the sun, she placed him on her shoulder while she looked at her brother. "Don't you have something to do right now?" She asked him, softer than usual but he could tell why as he could hear their child's sleeping.
"Should be daytime soon..I'll be back. Bye Chóros.." He whispered to the sleeping sun. "..Bye Artie!" He laughed and disappeared from their sight, while an arrow passed through where the Sun God was standing.
Looking at the sky, the inhabitants of the camp just saw the sun blinking at them.
…
Chóros pouted as he watched his mother's hunters train in the camp's temporary training site (they moved locations from time to time). Ever since his eyes were first drawn into a bow, he wanted to use a bow and arrow to train with his technical siblings.
Apparently, his mother said to him one night ago, it was dangerous for him to learn how to use it. While his father supported him learning archery in his young age, he even gifted a yellow Mongolian Recurve Bow with the accompanying arrows, however mother saw it and hid it, stating it was dangerous.
He looked at his side and saw a couple of books based on different languages (courtesy of Apollo), a leather but fluffy moon plush (courtesy of Zoë after a long talk with Artemis), and a bow and arrow patterned blanket (courtesy of Artemis).
He smiled and crawled towards the moon plushie and pushed it to his corner of the tent and laid his head on it, getting his blankie to cover himself and take a book from the side-by-side pile that his dad got him.
"Ha-hai.." He tried reading the front title of the book. ".kuu.." Chóros had a confused look on his face before saying somewhat loudly but cheerfully.
"Haikus!"
His face contorted into confusion as he heard someone falling and another laughing. He smiled as he recognized his father's laughing, causing him to look up and smile his bright smile.
He saw his mother facefaulting into the ground while his father laughed with a large leather guard that says "Apollo 1, Artemis 0" with all fingers closed except the pointy finger.
"His first word is Haikus.." The Moon Goddess muttered to herself sorrowfully but annoyed as his father continued laughing.
"POETRY STRIKES AGAIN!" The Sun God shouted victoriously before they heard a word that silenced the tent.
"Mama?" Chóros tilted his head, confused as to why his mother was on the floor.
The two parents switched places, with Artemis rushing to her son with a bright smile on her face and hugging him. While Apollo was on the ground with large pools of tears flowing out of his eyes while sobbing. the leather guard on his hand now saying 'Apollo 1, Artemis 1'.
The young child of the moon and the sun was confused why his dad was on the floor, reading his face his mother answered him.
"Don't worry Chóros, your dad just wants to know what the grass tastes like." Artemis continued hugging her son, causing the Baby to laugh and be assured from his mom's answer. Leaning in to hug her.
…
The young child hugged his Babysitter, Grand Auntie Hestia (He calls her "Mommy Hestia" for some reason), while Artemis looked over the two with a smile.
The Moon Goddess walked over to her son and lifted him up, hugging him as she began an explanation. "I'll just be out with my hunters to go after some cyclopes nearby causing trouble." She finished with an annoyed look on her face, no doubt annoyed at having to be brought away from her child..and probably looking at the pile of paperwork on top of a table.
"Do you need anything else Aunt Hestia?" The mother asked, looking at her Aunt as she placed her squirming son on the ground.
"It's fine Artie." The Goddess of the Hearth spoke warmly with her warm smile, causing the boy on the ground to relax from his squirming, while also calming down the mother from the little nervousness of leaving her son in the camp. "I understand you're a bit nervous about leaving Chóros here without you or your hunters around."
"He needs more people looking after him." She crossed her arms, looking somewhat annoyed at someone indirectly questioning her stance on her son's protection.
"Chóros or Apollo?" Hestia curled an eyebrow while Artemis pouted.
"You know what I mean." She sighed before going to her son again and kissed the top of his head. "I'll be back by tomorrow, Chóros." She smiled as her son hugged her.
"Come back Mommy!" He says to her softly with that smile of his.
"I will, My Little Moon." The Mother Hen hugged back before letting him go, with the boy going to his Grand Aunt Hestia. Looking back at them with a smile, she walked out with her bow and quiver full of silver arrows outside the tent.
"Can you tell me a story, please Mommy Hestia?" The son of the Moon and Sun asks the Hearth Goddess with a pleading look on his face.
Seeing his pleading look, Hestia smiled and nod, causing the child to cheer before pulling his Aunt into his bed with the moon plushie as a pillow to lay his head on, his sun and moon patterned blanket with another blanket in the pattern of bows and arrows covering the first blanket.
The Hearth personified looked at a small shelf of books dedicated to bedtime stories before going to the shelf, seemingly trying to find the perfect story to read to her little nephew.
As Hestia kept trying to look for a storybook to read to Chóros, the boy looked at a nearby tent window to see the stars in the night sky with the image of a full moon being surrounded by multiple dull and bright stars. However, this wasn't what made the curious boy interested in the starry night.
Rather, it's the Milky Way Galaxy.
Its explosion of colours with blotches of purple of different shades from bright to dark, some oranges here and there, certainly a view of lighting displays, additionally the multitude of stars that could be seen surrounding the imagery and at times even inside it.
The little child, different from his never-ending adrenaline during night time, felt content at the sight of the night sky. He started yawning before pulling his hand out and, instinctually, pulled an Apollo bear (Design made by Build an Apollo Workshop™) that his father gave him, and sighed while snuggling into it before falling into Morpheus.
Unknown to him, Hestia looked at the encounter with a shocked look on her face before shaking her head in disbelief. She calmed down at the sight of her nephew sleeping and smiled her gentle and content smile. Walking to him and placing a kiss on top of his forehead before sitting down beside him and looking at the stars above.
…
"Yay! I can do archery now!" The Pre-teen Chóros cheered happily with a quiver full of silver arrows at his back while holding the Mongolian Recurve Bow his dad gave him some time back.
Zoë, the Lieutenant Hunter of Artemis's Hunters, crossed her arms leaning on a tree close to him, while looking at the boy facing at a practice range she set up. Earlier Artemis asked the hunter if she could watch over the Son of the Moon and teach him to learn archery. Since it was a direct order (the 'young' hunter viewed it as one), she agreed and here they are.
Remembering the last time she was antagonistic to the boy, (she shudders after a quick memory review at how that worked out), the Hunter sighed before pulling herself off the tree and walked towards Chóros with both of her arms at her back.
"So..thou art h're to learneth the way of the boweth?" She asked the youngling with a confused face replacing his excited one before the girl sighed in frustration at the fact that the English Language kept changing. "Thou art h're to learn the way of the bow, yes?"
With realisation on what Zoë said, he nodded back with enthusiasm before holding the bow with his left hand pointing down at a slant. "I do miss Zoë! I have always wanted to learn mom and dad's craft of combat!" He replied with a shiny smile on his face, as if sunlight was being spewed out into the surrounding vicinity.
The Hunter's eyebrow rose as she suddenly wore sunglasses out of nowhere. "I see.." She muttered before shaking her head to clear her own mind. "Th're shall beest nay foolish boweth waving.."
Chóros still had the same smile with his eyes looking attentive, however in his mind..
'I wonder if dad will bring me to the ball game tomorrow..'
"..and yond is how thee useth the boweth and receiveth thy arrow from the quiv'r safely. Any questions?" The forever late-teenage girl asked her young ward, who now paid attention.
"Uhmm..you just turn to the side like this." The young boy with a mixed hair tells her while relying on his instincts while twisting his body facing right. "Point your bow at the target.." The child pointed the front of the bow at the target. "Place an arrow from the quiver.." He does so and begins pulling the bowstring while lightly but firmly holding the arrow. "Pull it up to your chin.." his thumb is placed where his chin was. "..and fire?" He asked as he released the arrow and bowstring.
"Owie!" He dropped the bow on the ground and had his right hand placed on his reddish left forearm.
Seeing this, the hunter ran towards her mistress's offspring and crouched. Facing the boy she placed her hand on the injury softly. "Although thy f'rm is c'rrect, thy gripeth and way of holding the boweth wasn't." She tells him, although not unkindly.
With some tears but otherwise not acting up on his pain aside from a little shake of his left arm, he pulled the bow from the ground before gripping it the same way he was before.
"Nay, boy. Liketh this!" Zoë the hunter corrects his grip before looking at the target range, staring in shock.
"Ooo.." The boy's eyes widened at the realisation his grip was wrong before pulling another silver arrow from the quiver at his back, looking closely at the target. He plucked the arrow and drew it until his thumb touched his cheek, seeing the target he fired it.
What happened next made him surprised at what happened.
The first arrow was already at the centre before the one he just recently fired hit the target right beside it at almost touching distance.
Blinking his eyes away from his awe and shock, he pouted again. "Aww..I did not turn the arrow into dust."
Zoë kept gapping at the sight before she could hear a snicker, she looked at the boy beside her and saw him almost laughing at..her?
"You look like a bubble fish!" He smiled and tilted his eyes, sunlight pulling out his eyes and teeth before, by instinct, he began running back to the main camp as the hunter unceremoniously landed on the ground where he was located. As if she planned to tackle him..
'Yond.. yond.. yond.. knave!'(That..that..that..BOY!) She blushed in embarrassment before getting up from the ground and went chasing after the running sunlight. Laughter could be heard from around the campsite where the hunters lived.
…
Guitar strumming could be heard as the now late teens-looking Chóros strummed his red gallotone champion while singing..
"I send you flowers, but you don't care.."
After finishing his schooling from a certain owl goddess (She was forced to keep quiet about his existence from the rest of the council and the rest of the world by a certain group of twins), the godling decided on trying to experience what being a mortal felt like.
"You never seem to see me standing there.."
His now brown eyes looked ahead at the one sitting near him, Paul McCharmley..or something along those lines thinking back in his memory.
"I often wonder what you're thinking of.."
When he first saw him it was in some kind of carnival at a church while being in a group called the 'Quarrymen'. Originally he just wanted to try out the different mortal music..which he became enamoured with.
"I hope it's me, and love love love!"
Buddy Holly was quite interesting, same for Elvis and other artists of the time and era, not mentioning the composers of the past that he heard from his own Record Player.
"So I hope there comes a day when you'll say.."
What made him surprised when meeting this Paul fella was the fact that Paul and a friend of his, George Harron, was it? Are both Demigods.
"Mm mm.."
Paul, the son of Poseidon and George, the son of Hades. Quite interesting these two are in the current area around England. There was also another artist he heard from some hurricane that he decided to look at. Apparently, he's also the son of Zeus, Richard, from what he remembered.
"Hello Little Girl.."
Luckily for the Demigod community of Britain, he hid their scents when he was scouting over Britain before during the Blitz, and to save his Great Uncle the headache that is the Blitz (even though his older relative doesn't know him), he placed a protection around the Isles against monsters spawning there, monsters already established in the region are sent to the Axis-controlled territories.
"Hello Little Girl.."
The son of the Moon and Sun brought himself out of his thoughts as he finished the first song he wrote after being influenced by the other music artists he listened to.
"Hello Little Girl!"
He let the D6 Chord ring as he looked around the house he bought and built a history in it, which is close-by to Paul's home now he thought about it. With the ringing ending, he hears a slight clap in front of him, now looking back at the younger teen in front of him.
"That's nice John! Brought out Buddy Holly didn't ya?" The green-eyed boy smirked good-naturedly at his friend.
"Nah, just summoned him here. Didn't know what I was doing." The disguised godling smirked back before chuckling. "What about your song mate? Losing a Girl or Something?"
"'Lost My Little Girl' it's called John." Paul rolled his eyes.
"Called John now is it? Better not use my voice." Both stared at each other in a serious gaze, as if both were sons of Athena..before laughing from their respective spots.
"Nah he's a better idea Paul!" 'John' said to Paul with a laughing smile on his face. "Make a song based on Eggs!" Both laughed once again.
"I'll get George next time..he should join the group though." The Son of Poseidon pointed this out.
"Too young, too young." The godling said with a smirk, there wasn't actually any heat behind his smirk and words. He knew George had a lot of talent, he just wanted to see if George were to back down or not before considering him in the Band.
"So anyhow, here's the number I've written.." The Green-eyed boy tells before picking up his own guitar that was beside his seat.
Probably also use the mist and light to make people think if he were 'married' in the future or anything like that, it'd save him a lot of arrow-felt pains from his mother and her group of hunters. The young godling definitely didn't want his mother to go after him for siring children for this journey to be seen as a normal mortal..
…
At the mountain top of Mount Olympus (The actual Mountain in Greece) was an older Chóros sitting on a plank of wood in a meditative sitting position. Breathing in deeply and breathing out at a consistent and slow pace.
It was some time after he learned of his powers that the son of Artemis decided to take a training break to learn what the world offers in not just belief, but a multitude of things and activities.
Sometimes, his parents would visit him when they had the time..although favours are much more common from his father's side. Saying something about being busy doing his normal duties and asked favours to do his job for him.
Instinctively, the godling rolled his eyes even though he was closing them, he knew when his father wanted to go to Japan for some reason or another.
Breathing in deeply again, the son of the sun shifted his focus towards his surroundings. Imagining himself expanding his own presence around him.
In his mind, he could feel the solids, rocks, boulders, even mere pebbles. Using his mind through imagery and intent, he lifted the many pieces of earth without touching them, only feeling.
He could feel a taste of other powers around himself too as he expanded his presence. Wrapping around the mountain and relative sky with its big fluffy clouds. Experimenting the feel, emotion, and intent without losing himself in them.
The colours in his mental awareness speak volumes of the powerful feeling of just simple objects that could do multiple things rather than simply being nothing. Clouds could turn to tornadoes, pebbles could knock a boulder and cause the boulder to create an avalanche of earth down to the poor souls below the Mountain Range.
Suddenly, he felt as if someone was trying to feel for the disturbance he caused. Using a technique he learned some time ago, he placed himself and the Mountain into a place of true anti-outsider invisibility, invisible in all of the senses one can expect from detectors of different volumes. It was as if it was just a normal day on the mountain to anyone who looked at it.
The first time he performed the manoeuvre also made his mother start a hunt and look for him. When she saw him, it was to a crying mother and a tight hug.
Deciding to experiment..again, Chóros kept the invisibility technique up while performing different exercises of expanding and controlling his presence into an actual force able to seep into the space between atoms and subatomic (both known and unknown) particles.
A mental imagery made him unconsciously smile at seeing the electrical/chemical patterns of the atoms, the different elements they feed and turn into through magic and not.
It was during this that the young son looked at the unknown and hidden subatomic particles that he knew to be magic. Magic is a different kind of beast compared to other particles of different sizes, definitions, and shapes around him on the Mountain. It is uncontrollable to those who limit themselves to the perception of logical zealotry, not believing that it just can happen. Nothing more, nothing less.
The godling stopped his practice after another series of exercises of controlling his abilities in which he placed the solids he lifted back on the ground, right where they were originally. Feeling them placed there, the young man opened his eyes and yawned with a sweatdrop. To increase his training, he kept up the invisibility around himself while practising mental multitasking to meditate through focus and concentration..well it was possible from his reading of Tao te Ching.
More sweat drops fell from his face before he was forced to slowly release his presence from the surrounding region that encompasses Mount Olympus and its surrounding territories, not wanting to tip off anyone trying to look into the area.
While he might be able to hide an entire country from monsters jast from raw power alone, Chóros wants to focus on the one thing that is perhaps the most uncharacteristic part of the Greek Pantheon.
Self-Control.
Well, except Great Aunt Hestia. She has a ton of self control, although that is perhaps due to her domains that she managed to do so.
Breathing in and out, after a time of rest, Chóros would go on again and begin practising self-control over himself, presence, and abilities. Refining rather than blunt forcing them would make him able to do more things than what many people realise.
…
"Mom.." The man sighed while pinching the bridge of his nose while they walked to the place where he was staying for many years.
"What? I'm telling the truth, aren't I?" The man's mother looked at him with her 'dark brown' eyes.
"So you're saying Mister Olympus himself found out about me..from Aphrodi-"
"DON'T SAY THAT!" The shorter of the two hushed him loudly.
"..Missus Shipper." He looked at her with a raised eyebrow after his companion didn't say anything. She answered with a nod. "Finding out my baby pictures after trying to find your so-called 'secret diary'? That sounds ridiculous if you ask me." The mother's only son said disbelievingly.
"You don't believe me?" She pouted, her eyes becoming large saucers with tears in them, as if about to burst a dam.
He looked into her eyes before sighing in resignation, shaking his head. "I believe you mum, it's just disbelieving that's all."
She flipped a 180 with a moonlight bright smile. "I know sweetie, I know. I sometimes ask myself why we even have her on the council."
"Sometimes I wonder why you don't show this side of you to anyone else.." He muttered, but he quickly moved on as he saw her eyes narrow at him inquisitively. "I mean..what do I do now? Go up there and show myself?" Both of them stopped at the street facing his New York apartment. "Is that all there's to it?"
Seeing her smiling at him mysteriously, he continued talking with a quip. "There's not a single type of those parties that the Ancient Hellene (Greeks called themselves Hellenes and Greece Hellas) Pantheon are known for?"
He laughed as his mother, Artemis, slapped him with a blush and narrowed eyes. "Your father has poisoned you well." She turned her head and huffed while crossing her arms.
"I wasn't poisoned by him, he called it 'The Enlightenment'." The son jokes to his Moonlight Mother, receiving another smack in the arm.
"Well, let's head on, mother." Chóros spoke after some minutes of silence, receiving an answer from Artemis holding his hand. Both walked towards Dakota, his apartment he's been living in for a few years.
…
The Ex-Rockstar raised his eyebrow as he entered the doors leading to the council building of the Olympians.
Earlier today while he was walking to the apartment he was living in along with his mother before being shot and fell down at the Archway by what mortals saw as a crazy man with a shotgun.
However, what really happened was the man fired a shotgun that hit him multiple times before being killed by a silver arrow going through the crazed lunatic's head from a certain Goddess that afterwards ran to him to make sure he was still alive.
It was such a sudden moment for the rockstar that it caught him by surprise, and had to spend some time on the ground healing his wounds using his father's gift that he was born with..
Shaking his head, the son of the moon realised that his move in healing his back from a close catch-up to sleep may have caused something to notice him as what he is what his father would've done.
'How did that mortal get their hands on Celestial Bronze I'll never know..'
Raising his other eyebrow, he simply faced his palm towards the door, using the air around him with the enough push helped by his presence to open the door, strolling into the chamber with his hands inside his pockets.
"W-WAIT! I KNOW HIM!" A familiar voice could be heard before the regular thump would be heard, with the familiar voice groaning in pain immediately afterwards.
"..Soo.." With both eyebrows raised, the godling looked around the room to look at the Olympians on their thrones with Great Aunt Hestia taking care of the council room's hearth. "Did you call in for a concert or something? Or it's a private audience I'm hosting tonight?"
"With that accent I'm willing~~" A rather physically appeasing entity said from one of the thrones of the Olympians with a flirtatious wink.
"Aphrodite.." His mother warned with a growl, placing the love goddess under a glare that a mother hunter could give to those threatening their child.
"Never knew you were sleeping around on different beds, could give those I've met in Hamburg a run for their money with that look on you." The Ex-Rockstar narrowed his brown eyes, gazing at the lover of two with the addition of a remark.
The father of the child arriving at the council laughed along with his uncle Hermes and uncle Dionysus, while some growls from two certain gods could be heard..until they looked at eachother and began glaring at the other.
"ENOUGH!" The King in the middle chair thundered for the council room to become silent before giving Chóros a look.
Raising his already raised eyebrow, he stared back at Zeus's eyes as the others stared into his. A moment of silence it'd only take for..
"So is this an audience or a mosaic?" The godling remarked, causing another round of chuckles that was quickly stopped by a sharp stare of the youngest of the Olympians. The son of Artemis smirked in victory while the very beardy King looked at him in anger.
"So..YOU'RE THE SON OF TWO OF MY CHILDREN?!" Lightning went around the God of the sky with sounds of thunder coming outside the chamber.
'He'd do well in theatre, that one.' Artemis's Moonling thought to himself while not feeling fear of this manchild. "That doesn't narrow things down Grandfather." The godling says in a seemingly confused look.
Seeing Zeus's ears start steaming at this..boy nonchalantly speaking with a poison of sass into him, the godling smiled before he shifted his appearance to his non-altered appearance. Eyes becoming silver with mixes of bright yellow, hair of mismatched reds, blacks, and yellows with their different shades, and the unamused stare that one can see from his mother.
"Happy now..Grandfather?" He spoke in a Liverpoolian Accent with a frown, raising his left eyebrow and tilted his head to the side.
"ARE YOU THEIR SON OR NOT?!" Zeus yelled with veins at his temples at the insolent godling with a sound of loud thunder outside.
'Visit Freud, he should.' Chóros remarked in his mind before turning his head to the exit. 'Probably blown a casket with lightning out in New York.'
"C'mon father, of course he is! Can't you see me and Artie in him?" Apollo, who had enough of Zeus being demanding of his son.
"He better not hurt him.." An icey voice of the wild winter hunt could be heard.
"ENOUGH! HE IS A MERE DEMIGOD! MADE FROM A UNION OF BROKEN OATHS AND ANCIENT LAWS!" Zeus finally blew the casket while firing his Master Bolt at the godling, causing three to enter a state of shock and horror, the rest yelling at Zeus..and at each other.
'That's Master Bolt's power?' The son of light looked around him as the lightning struck him, however he seemed to be fine. 'Never know why dad's afraid of it. If he can manipulate light, he should be able to make lightning bypass him harmlessly.'
After sometime being in the crowd of lightning, the godling sighed before facing his palm up and used his presence to enter the space of the atoms and subatomic particles of knowns and unknowns before guiding the Lightning to the top of his hand. 'I should make an axe and use this lightning to be infused with it..something to think about when visiting the cyclopes..'
Looking at the tear stricken faces of his parents, he sighed but a warm smile entered his face. Walking to them while placing the lightning into an invisible encased space that only he could access, and both hugged pulling the Goddess of the Hearth for a hug. "Never knew the initiation to become part of the Olympians was from a Lightning Strike mum, dad, aunt Hestia."
…
"I'll be back mum."
The godling said to his mother with a smile, although some tears did fall from his face while looking into her eyes. "I'm going to visit the Universal Library I was talking about, it might take some time for me to return."
"Not again..it's unfair your father managed to pretend to be a mortal named Brian, your 'manager' of that band of yours." His mother pouted, annoyed at the fact Apollo managed to find a way before having to leave once Zeus found out. "I don't want you to leave, not after your long self-proclaimed vacation away from home."
"C'mon mum, you're acting like a Mother Hen again." Her child hugged her, now noticing an increased amount of tears coming out of Artemis's eyes while an unconscious smile at his remark. "Never understood why you never felt the same for your hunters..also never understood why you never called them Huntress."
He was answered by a scuff on his head with a muttered 'baka', causing the youngling's face contort to shock, placing an arm's length distance while his hands were on her shoulders. "Did dad poison your vocabulary and speaking sense?" He spoke with a faux shocked look.
Chuckling at his 'shocked look' with a smile that she attempted to force down, he continued. "You know, this isn't a permanent thing."
"I know Chóros, just..think about us every now and then, son." She smiled her beautiful and tear-faced smile while looking into his silvery golden eyes with her own yellowish-silver orbs.
Running his hands through her Auburn hair that goes dark at the end of her hairstalks, both could hear a knock before the Sun God entered the room.
"Anymore room for a hug?" He smiled brightly at the two while hugging them both, his arm on their offspring tightened.
"You know you have to keep this quiet from Auntie Athena right?" The sunlight of the sun quirked an eyebrow while narrowing his eyes at him.
Sighing dramatically, Apollo spoke with a fond look on his face. "You think I'll tattle on you? That's Hermes' job!"
"No back talking Apollo!" A fist from a certain auburn-haired Goddess smacked the back of the Sun's head.
"G-gah!" Apollo bounced off the floor with a large bump on his head. "That'll be a sunspot.." He muttered to himself. "W-wa-HEY! But you backtalk Aphrodite all the time!" The Sun God complained.
"So?" She raised her eyebrow with a warning look on her face, directing her narrowed steel yellowish-silver eyes at her twin.
Ignoring her and not wanting to open another can of injuries, the sunlight's father looked at his boy with a smile. "I brought you a gift!" He announced brightly, also ignoring his twin's crossing arms with an unamused stare.
"Not some help with the Music Industry, no?" Retorted Chóros with a raised eyebrow.
"Nope! Already did that for you a while ago." The manifestation of the Sun said cheekily, placing both of his hands behind himself.
"I've brought you this!" Artemis's younger twin said with excitement at his son's reaction, showcasing the object he's giving to his little sunlight.
Taking it from his father's grasp, the godling responded after a minute of silence..
"I got a rock." Chóros responded with a deadpan look and a downward tilt of his head at his father.
Ignoring the laughter of the goddess, laughing at his expense, the father spoke. "Not exactly Chóros! Just place your open hand on top of the rock and spin it!"
Shrugging at his father's reply he did what he was asked to do.
A bright light encompassed the entire room, causing the goddess in the room to stop laughing before being blinded by the sudden burst of light. It was until some minutes later that the golden light became nothing that the entire scenery in the room changed.
Both son and father had sunglasses covering their eyes, the older of the two smirked at Artemis's collapsed form as she covered her eyes, muttering about being blinded by a bright light. "And that son..is how you sweep a maiden off your feet."
The son started laughing while a barrage of arrows started flying straight at the Apollo, making him run around and jump at swift intervals while Artemis yelled a tirade after tirade filled with words Hestia would've scolded her for using.
…
The godling yawned after blinking his tiredness away. He's finally back home after some unknown years going to the Universal Library, also known as the Akashic Records to those on the planet..
'Good thing Auntie Athena didn't know I had access and went to visit the place, otherwise I'd be forced into a marriage from her using every loophole around her oath just to get the chance of going with me there.' The older Chóros pinched his nose in a fond annoyance at that thought.
After arriving at the Akashic Records utilising the route he noticed from the subatomic particles that is the centre of all magics, a semi-sentient force that would explain the blips and the bloops of physics that his spacial awareness, he managed to track them and later on other consciousness following the trail to find the Universal Library.
Of course, he managed to find a way to follow it while keeping his physical body and other possessions, which later he found out was the last step to fully access the Library in full rather than partial access that other consciousness seem to have.
There are countless things to do in the Library once you arrive there.
For those that want to train and learn? There are souls who seek to teach anyone learning in the Universal Library with training yards of different environments and terrain, and minor classrooms dedicated to their fields of expertise. There are some that have an interchanging terrain yard that makes those who train in it to learn and adapt along with any environment, desolate or full, water or dry, etc.
There is also a bookshop for anyone in the Library to buy books, documents, and other records unavailable in their location and current timeframe; the shop also takes in any currency you use. It was quite interesting to see the Earth section of the library; there was a special set dedicated to the Great Library of Alexandria that he managed to get himself one when he gained his own place of residence.
There are spots for meditation with zen gardens and nature places where sages of the past that live and/or visiting the Library get to meditate and be one with nature. Meeting them was quite an interesting experience for the son of the sun and the moon.
Finally, there are rooms for those that choose to live at the Library for an undetermined amount of time..
Shaking his head out of those thoughts, the godling smiled serenely as he walked through the streets of New York. Heading towards Central Park to enjoy the breeze.
Of course, he was interrupted.
"Chóros!" Apollo popped out of nowhere from a tree in front of the young teen, causing him to jump and enter in one of the different fighting styles he learned to also combine. Seeing this the returned gosling's father shook his hands "Hey! It's me! Your dad!" He smiled brightly, but the Sun's son could tell something was wrong.
"Hey Dad!..is mum at Olympus? I was planning to surprise her today with my return." The Moonlight's son smiled back..until seeing the Sun God's face dropping. "Dad..what's wrong?"
"Your mother's missing." The Prophetic God answered with a solemn and serious look with a fiery flame of frustration in his eyes, making his son freeze with the air becoming turbulent and a certain cold moonlight shine entered his son's eyes.
"..Who took her?" The air became chilly with the temperature suddenly dropping at a constant rate.
"I DON'T KNOW OKAY?!" Apollo unleashed that frustration while pacing in front of the godling. "I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR HER FOR DAYS!" He yelled with an angered look on his face.
".." Silence entered the area with the temperature slowly becoming normal. "I'll be right back..father.."
…
The entire battlefield on Mount Othrys froze along with their combatants with the appearance of a major killing intent covering the landscape. The moon suddenly turned a bloody lunar colour with its bright but dull light covering the entire area.
"W-What's going on?!" Yelled Lukas Cag-I mean Luke Castellan.
A man with a lunar red aura could be seen as he appeared in a swirl of flames, the mixed-coloured hair of his appearance changed to the same type of red his eyes became too, he turned his sights at the struggling Goddess lifting the Sky, then turned towards the rest of the combatants.
The General, seeing a new threat arriving with the stalling of the combatants, charged towards him with a fist clogged back..before blinking.
"WHAT TH-" He blinked again before a familiar weight began appearing on top of him before using both of his arms to lift up the heavy weight once again. "N-No! H-How!"
"SHUT YOUR PIPEHOLE PRICK!" The Angered godling lifted his hand and began a choking gesture with it.
For reasons unknown to the ones around him, Atlas began turning into a shade of blue as he was unable to breathe any air into his lungs before the godling let go, letting the Titan sigh in relief.
"Unfortunately, you'll be needed to carry the sky. As your punishment.." Chóros closed his eyes and began manipulating the space around the Titan. "You won't be able to move an inch, even if you have an itch or cramps or speaking with someone, you will no longer be able to move." A flash of lunar red light came out of his eyes as the Titan stilled for eternity.
"As for you..Harbinger of Kronos." The Godling turned and brought a palm out, bringing the frightened Son of Hermes to him with a glare into his eyes. "Ever thought of what would happen if you were to hurt my mother? Ever thought what would happen to those that are stupid enough to try and bring back the Titans? Here's a message to you, Son of Hermes."
The Lunar Eclipse personified his front palm to the scared Demigod with his thumb facing inwards his palm, and began charging a form of energy he learned from his many years in the Akashic Records..
"Hakai."
Immediately, a Lunar Deathly ball of spacial contained True Destruction Energy appeared from his palm before launching at Castellan.
Once touched, the light began enveloping the demigod. No screams are heard as the light diminished, with the Demigod nowhere in sight.
"Gone he is, not a single linger of his soul and physical body." The Lunar Eclipse Godling became calming down, with the Lunar moon turning back to its normal colour along with the appearance of the Son of the Moonlight.
He rose an eyebrow as he backtracked his mind at the mental connection of the Traitor and a certain titan..
Widening his eyes, he began utilising the connection of the Non-Existent Demigod and the Titan of Time. Once feeling it he enforced his will on the chaotic form that was time..oddly enough the chaotic power submitted to his will and presence..ignoring that, he began alienating the Titan King from his domain, before collecting his essence and popped him into existence in front of the Godling.
"Begone, Kronos." Before the Titan could do anything, he was enveloped with the same Spacial Evaporation energy that makes anyone's physical, magical, spiritual, etc. essence out of the plane of existence.
Relaxing as the Titan King has finally disappeared..
"C-Chóros?" He turned as he saw her mother slightly in tears, looking her up and down as he fixed her attire along with instantly healing the wounds she had gained over the days.
"I'm back, Mother." The returned son of the Moon smiled brightly before being enveloped in a hug by the Moon personified. "You know, father was running around like a headless chicken trying to look for you."
"Oh..great.." A familiar groan could be heard as he looked at his childhood 'rival'. "T's thee."
"Hey Zoë! How's my lil' sis' doing?" The Son of Apollo greets the Lieutenant Hunter.
"First off, i'm not thy 'lil sist'r', second of all whither wast thee!" She shouted with an angry look on her face while she stomped on towards him. At that moment his mother let him go and watched the situation.
"Now now sis-"
"DOTH NOT CALLETH ME YOND!"(Do not call me that!)
"We can wait until later for the entire story..It's a very long story." He placed his hands in front of the fuming Hunter while backing away in a placating movement.
"I bethink not yond explains wherefore thee haven't visit'd me during thy so-call'd bard career!" He girl poked her finger to his chest with puffed cheeks, staring into his soul.
"Uhh.." The Son of Artemis looked around the area while attempting to ignore the Hunter's fierce glare into his eyes before coming up with a bright idea. "I..got a gift for you, just open this palm!" He had a closed fist with its bottom facing up while being in front of Zoë.
Still with puffed cheeks and her eyes with a tint of suspicion, she opened his palm before a bright light covered everything before diminishing..
"And my mother, this is how you catch a sweeping Maiden!" Chóros announced as he was bridal holding a heavily flustered hunter before she growled and attempted to hit him with her bow, not thinking of using the knife she had with him. "W-wait don't hit me! Bows aren't for hitting, they're for hunting!" He dodged the bow before being hit right at the forehead. "Ow!"
"Bullseye!" The Lieutenant Hunter smirked victoriously with a still present blush before gaining a killing glint in those eyes. "Now..holdeth still.."
"H-hey what are you doing lil' sis?"
"This is f'r embarrasing me thee baka!" She shouted as she placed a bayonet (that turned slightly blunted) on her bow before going after the godling.
"AHA! I KNEW YOU'D LEARN JAPANESE!" The duo entered a wild goose chase as the hunter hunted her prey that embarrassed her.
Silence reigned again until another familiar voice spoke up. "Isn't that wonderful Artie? Our son getting it on with your Lieutenant? Oo, I can feel a Haiku comi-"
Growling, Artemis followed the hunter's actions by placing a bayonet on her bow before charging at the Sun God. "WAIT! NOT THE FACE LITTLE SIS!"
"STOP." A Bowyanet thrust. "CALLING." A Bowyanet swipe as Apollo was nearly hit. "ME." Another Thrust. "LITTLE!" She swiped at his..below, fortunately for Apollo she missed after jumping backwards with a panicked look. "SIS!" She nearly swiped at Apollo's face.
"S-STOP ARTIE! I TOLD YOU! NOT THE FACE!" Like the other two from earlier, the twins entered a Wild Goose Chase into the forest below around Mount Othrys.
Silence once again entered the battlefield before a single and united thought dominated the area..
'What just happened?'
N/A: I hope you all enjoy a slight entry into Chóros as a character and how his presence changed everything..
