It was another typical fight with the kraang as the four turtles tried to prevent their latest scheme.

"Why are there so many of them!" Mikey screamed as he was flung to the side.

He rolled to a stand the dove back into the fight, running passed Leo who was trying to keep the kraang bots off of Donnie.

"How's it going Donnie?" Leo called gritting his teeth as he cut to of the bots in half.

"I'm working on it! So far all I can figure out is that it's supposed to summon help from… somewhere!" Donnie yelled back from where he was crouched in front of a futurist device.

"Why can't we just destroy it again?" Raph growled crushing one of the kraang bots heads under his foot.

"Oh we could IF WE WANTED TO TAKE OUT THREE CITY BLOCKS!" Donnie reminded him, never once looking up from his work. "The machines already started, I just need to figure out how to stop it… Too late."

"The ones that are know as turtles have failed. The one that is known as universe 18 krang has been summoned to help kraang," the kraang cheered.

A large pink portal had formed behind the line of kraang.

"Come on it's the kraang how bad could this backup be?" Raph scoffed.

That was when the creature on the other side stepped through. The Krang itself was taller that any of the turtles, but in it's mecha suit it looked massive, all sharp points and edges. It almost reminded Leo of the Shredder for some reason.

"Free again," the monster rumbled. "I guess that little pests actions were useless after all."

Behind him the portal closed.

"Kraang asks for universe 18 Krang's assistance in the invasion known as the invasion of Earth," one of the kraang said, taking a step forward.

"Universe 18? So this is not my universe, a shame, I would have loved to crush the rest of those turtles underneath my foot like the insects they are."

The Krang looked around, eyes zeroing in on the four turtles who had retreated to the portal machine, Donnie frantically working to turn it back on.

"But it seems you have your own pests to deal with."

The red light in the head of the armor glowed brighter.

Leo's eyes widened, "Turtles move!"

They all jumped just in time to avoid the laser that destroyed the machine, the building behind it, and any kraang in the way.

"What is the one known as universe 18 Krang doing? Krang is also kraang!" One of the bots screamed.

"What am I doing? I'm getting rid of the weak beings that inhabit this planet, all of them," the Krang said as he stepped on the nearest kraang bot.

The Krang powered up the laser again and with one turn of his armored head he vaporized most of the kraang and half of a city block. Sirens and screams could be heard in the distance as the people of New York once again ran for their lives.

The turtles lunged at the Krang while he was distracted but they were all flung aside with a sweep of his arm.

"You are very different form the turtles I faced before," the Krang observed, easily shattering the swords he had caught in his hand. "You will be so much fun to play with."

They kept trying. Leo grabbed one of the krangg guns that laid discarded on the grown and three of the turtles charged, trying to distract the Krang as Donnie ran towards the Shellraiser. Unfortunately the Krang noticed, destroying just before Donnie could reach it then throwing the three brothers at their remaining member sending them all crashing down.

"He's too strong," Donnie breathed.

"Leo what are we going to do?" Raph asked as he pulled Mikey to his feet.

Leo looked at his brothers, leaning against each other to keep standing, ugly purple bruises already forming under a layer of blood and dirt. Then he looked around him, at the fires and rubble strewn around them, at the demolished buildings, at the ones that weren't even there.

The kraang that were left had already fled. No help would get to them in time. They were injured, alone, and out of tricks, helpless in a way they had felt so few times before.

Ten minutes. The Krang had done all of this in ten minutes.

"I- I don't know."

Then there was a ripping sound that cut through the noise of the chaos around them, drawing their attention to a space in the air that was cracking. A pair of what could have been hands pushed through the expanding crack and started to pry it open further. Pieces fell like a shattered mirror leaving a dark muted grey that seemed to bleed the color from its surroundings. It kept growing wider until a figure crawled through. It paused for a moment looking at its hands, feeling the gravel underneath it, then it stood slowly, unsteady. It was shaped almost like a man, made of a blue energy, fluctuating like it wasn't quite in sync with their reality. Then it seemed to notice the Krang that had ceased its destruction to observe the new being.

"Hey Krangy-poo. Miss me?" It's voice wavered, corrupted almost beyond recognition.

The monster of a Krang froze, eyes wide in disbelief, "Impossible."

The creature took a hesitant step forward, then another. As it stumbled forward it seemed to become more sure of itself and the fluctuations slowed, becoming clearer. It was a turtle. A humanoid turtle with glowing red and yellow stripes and an unsettling grin carved into his face. But that wasn't what drew the four brother attention. No what they focused on was the blue mask, and a pair of katanas strapped to his back.

"Leo?" Mikey whispered.

A hand grabbed his and he looked to see Leo, eyes wide and breathing erratic, but still in standing in front of his brothers, trying in vein to protect them even as the other two clung to him. None of them were alone.

"You." The Krang growled.

The turtle just laughed, a chilling sound that clawed down their spines as it echoed through the wide open disaster zone.

"I killed you!" The Krang yelled.

The turtle's form seemed to glitch for a second, the glowing blue figure replaced with a mangled rotting corpse before returning.

Leo's brothers gasped and tightened their grip on him. He didn't complain.

"Aww. You didn't think you could get away from me that easily did you? After all I sacrificed, you were just going to leave me there to rot alone?" His voice light, now clear except for a faint staticky echo. The turtle almost managed to seem pouty despite never losing his face splitting grin.

"Won't you miss all the games we played? Like Pound the Turtle."

His form flickered, cracks forming along his shell and plastron. Pieces fell off as he threw his arms wide, showing off the damage.

"Or How Far Will That Stretch."

Another flicker, and his arms fell dangling limp at his side every joint pulled from its socket.

"How about Seeing Stars?"

This time his skull was caved in, his jaw dangled barely clinging to the rest of his head.

"Then of course the all time favorite Cat and Mouse," the turtle almost sang.

The damage disappeared leaving the four turtles with a mixture of relief and horror. They stayed still and silent as the scene before them continued to play out.

"But you were always the cat," his tone darkened, all lightness forgotten his parody of a smile looked more like barred teeth. "Ooh let's play another game, this time I get to win!"

The turtle took another step forward and drew his katanas, the sound of metal scratching against metal putting their teeth on edge.

The Krang laughed, "You could not win before, what makes you think you can now?"

But the ghostly blue figure continued to gin and threw both of his swords at Krang. They blinked in and out of existence until they buried themselves deep into the Krang's flesh despite his attempts to dodge. Krang screamed, a green ooze flowing sluggishly down from the swords.

The turtle cackled, his grin growing impossibly wider. He reached behind him to grab another katana that had appeared in the empty scabbard. With a quick flick another two swords embedded itself into the withering pink monster.

"It's time to go back Krang we have so many games to play, after all I won't Rest In Peace until you're in pieces."

Blue ribbon shot from inside the void and attached to the swords. Then they began to pull the struggling Krang back into his prison, his claws leaving deep gouges in the earth. With one final shriek the Krang disappeared through the crack.

The blue turtle turned and walked back to the crack he created and put one hand on the jagged edge.

"Wait!" Mikey called ignoring his brothers attempts to stop him. "Your Leo right? Or at least a Leo?"

The turtle stopped and turned to the four brothers huddled together. For the first time since he appeared his manic grin dimmed.

"Mikey," his voice came out as a strangled whisper.

"Raph. Donnie. Tell them. Tell them anata wa hitori ja nai, I will see them again. Some day."

His voice grew weaker and the static grew as he talked. Whatever had allowed him to appear here was fading. A single tear slid down his still grinning face as he looked at them just a little longer. Then he turned back around and followed the Krang into the prison, the crack disappearing behind him. All that was left of the encounter was the damaged city and the deathly quiet that haunted the four brothers that knew somewhere out there, there was a set of four that was missing a piece.
