Sat in the doctor's office, the test results hit Terry Silver like a karate kick to the face. He couldn't believe it, he knew he'd been feeling off sorts for a while, the constant headaches for one thing and even for him he'd been behaving erratically but still he'd never had thought it could have been as bad as this, he'd just put it down to his PTSD.

As the news sunk in he zoned out, the doctor's mouth was moving but he couldn't hear what he was saying over the sound of static. Terry just kept repeating over and over again in his mind a brain tumor, a brain tumor. He caught a few important words that the doctor was saying, things like 'oral chemotherapy' 'hopefully caught it in time' 'possitive outlook' 'possible radiotherapy' It was all just too much to take in. One minute he'd been planning to take the world by storm, on the road to achieving to make cobra kia a worldwide name in karate, and now this.

Completely overwhelmed Terry thanked the doctor even though he wasn't sure what he was thanking him for. Telling him he could be dying? yeah thank you for that Doc. Terry walked out of the office in a zombie like state, he leaned up against the wall outside, closed his eyes and sighed. It felt like his whole life was about to fall apart.

Terry walked slowly towards the lift, his mind filled with thoughts. He had been determined to make sure he left a legacy behind, attached to his name means he was now getting older, but now it seemed like time was running out. His diagnosis had made him realise that he could be on borrowed time and if he wanted to leave a legacy behind then he'd need to work with even more urgency to achieve his goal, and to do that he'd need to eliminate everyone that stood in his way.

Silver started to feel angry, unbelievably angry. Not only with the fact that his diagnosis could jeopardize everything but that Daniel, Johnny, Kreese and everyone else stood in his way and could risk him achieving his dream.

Getting into the lift Silver's heart stopped, already stood in the lift was no other than Johnny Lawrence and his girlfriend Carmen. Silver just wanted the world to swallow him whole, Johnny was one of the last people he wanted to see him here. What if he instantly assumed that he was sick? What if he told everyone else, then everyone would know he was weak.

Talking to Johnny made him feel sick to his stomach, he looked so happy with her and when he found out she was expecting it made him even more angry. He had everything he didn't, a loving partner, a baby on the way and a loving family and here he was with a soul destroying diagnosis and noone to love him and support him through his fight. There was some things that money just couldn't buy.

Why was Johnny looking at him as though he meant trouble? Like he was there specifically because he knew Johnny would be there? He hadn't known Johnny was going to be at the hospital, he wished that he wasn't, Terry didn't even know Carmen was expecting, but if Johnny thought that he was there to cause trouble and as part of an evil scheme rather than the true reason he was there then he would make Johnny believe that. Anything to put Johnny off the scent of his actual reason for being there. Terry gave an evil looking smirk, he would make Johnny believe that he had a twisted reason for being there.

"Everything I do is for the future, theirs and mine" Which was true, everything he was doing was to make sure cobra kai went world wide and he left a legacy with his name on it before time ran out. "So savour every moment before it's gone!" Of course Johnny would see that as a threat, everything about Silver Johnny saw as a threat. But really all he was doing was giving Johnny some life advice in the most manipulative way he could.

The way Johnny clenched his fists and jaw in anger, Silver knew his plan had worked. Johnny didn't suspect that Silver was at the hospital for any other reason than part of a twisted plan of his. Silver actually having a medical condition would never have crossed Jonny's mind. Silver left the lift with a mischievous grin, leaving Johnny and Carmen to ponder just exactly what he was planning.

Silver got into his car and slammed the door, breathing a sigh of relief, his plan had worked. He decided to drive down to his dojo, he needed to take all this anger he had out on something. Starting his car he turned on the radio, he opened his side window and started to drive. He began to feel more relaxed now with the wind blowing through his long hair.

Then the song on the radio changed and "I'm Going to Love You Through It" by Martina McBride started blaring out of it. It took a while to realise what the words were saying before he angry glared at the radio.

When you're weak, I'll be strong

When you let go, I'll hold on

When you need to cry, I swear that I'll be there to dry your eyes

When you feel lost and scared to death

Like you can't take one more step

Just take my hand, together we can do it

I'm gonna love you through it.

She sang at him. "Oh shut the fuck up!" He growled at radio and angrily shut the radio off. "What did she know? The world's not like that, not everyone has someone to love them through it, he was doing it all by himself, stupid cow" Terry thought to himself. The world is a cruel place as he well knew and sometime you have to fight the most difficult battles alone.
