Our Future
"It's pulling you apart. The pain.. I don't know how to help!" Cole cried out. The former spirit was obviously able to sense and feel what was happening and what Rosen was feeling because of the mark.
"Why didn't you say something?" Dorian moaned in response, his distress clear. "I could have.. I don't know. Done something."
Rosen turned back to them both, shaking his head at Cole briefly to discourage him from saying any more about it. He then reached out to gently take Dorian's face in his hands securely. His blue eyes with their bright red ring were intense as he met and held his mate's gaze. "Look at me, Dorian. It is going to be alright, Kadan. I would not sacrifice our life and future together for anything, and I would sacrifice anything for the same. If this does not work, if we can not reach Solas in time, I will do what is required to live and be with you. Even if that means removing the Mark myself."
"Rosen.." Dorian breathed, his beautiful brown eyes suddenly glistening with unshed tears. "You mean?.."
"Yes. Should it become necessary, I shall remove my hand."
