In the living building, it was quite the busy day for those who stayed there today.

Ever since the minute that Squee, Yikk, Charlie, Vienna, Neri, Yuri, Rice and Choco left the closed front door to head for their main spaceship, Navy and Arnie suggested that 'extended chores' had to be done in and around the building, whether everyone liked it or not.

"Fine" was Lava's reply, "but I'll do my own room and that bathroom connected to it for today. Thanks for your help, but as someone who's had too many incompetent butlers and maids back at her parental home, I oughta do stuff by myself for once, too." She took off with the vacuum cleaner from the upstairs supply closet afterwards.

"Alright then" Navy said with a shrug.

"That's not usual of her" Billy said, as they dragged the vacuum cleaner out of the ground floor's supply closet. "Everyone, watch your ears and prepare yourselves for a galore of decibels!"

Pop had already gotten hold of the duster and with some smooth physical moves, all of the flat, dusty surfaces were made smooth and slightly shiny again, with the dust soon eliminated by the vacuum cleaner as well. Talk about good teamwork!

Arnie and Nori made sure that all of the toilets and showers were thoroughly clean, while Navy made sure that the kitchen was also all smooth and scoured. Even Nika helped her father simply by wiping the cupboards' surfaces with a moist wipe or two.

After all of the floors and stairs had been vacuumed, Billy swapped the vacuum cleaner for the bucket and floorcloth, to make sure that no germ on the floor would ever have a chance anymore for the time being.

And with all of the co-operation of most of the crewmates being a huge success, the 'extended chores' part was done within only half the blink of an eye.

Lava, the only crewmate that cleaned everything that belonged to her, took a tad longer as her way of tidying was a lot gentler and steadier due to her having quite the collection of expensive things.

But after she was finally done, she grabbed clean clothes and undid herself of all of her current ones once she set foot in her own bathroom again.

"Man" she sighed out loud, "all of that cleaning got me all icky…" She subtly put her previous clothing into her laundry basket before starting a long, well-deserved shower.

Meanwhile, downstairs, everyone else had settled down at either the dining table or on the sofas.

Billy had grabbed their tablet and headphones to binge their favourite show after all of the hard work.

"If anyone wants to ask me a question" they said, "then please don't."

A few chuckles were the replies, but nothing else furthermore.

"Good one" Arnie then said out loud as he grabbed the remote from one of the corners of the sofa and turned the television on. "Ooh, this looks quite interesting." A cooking show had only just started.

Bobby was also interested in the television, and slithered up the TV cabinet to get a good view for himself.

"Such shows always make me a tad hungry" Nori said, "and also a bit sad that the food is not directly served to us."

"Tell me about it" Nika stated, "if only that could be a thing! Just except when it contains those way too soft vegetables. I prefer raw ones, like in a salad."

"Then I guess we're polar opposites, as I like soft veg better than raw ones. Except for eggplant, that stuff is really yucky."

"Are you kidding? It tastes the best with ground meat, melty cheese and tomato sauce, like Dad occasionally makes!"

"That's right" Navy said. "And Mum always has it with extra cheese instead of ground meat, right?"

"Uh-huh, and I think that it tastes just as good that way."

"If you're considering making that once" Arnie said, "then double the eggplant with cheese for Yikk, as they're also a vegetarian."

"Good one." The dark blue and dark green crewmates exchanged a brief fist-bump.

The spaceship had arrived at the Polus once again.

Everyone's pagers soon showed everyone's statuses, and Choco was the impostor today.

Me as an impostor, huh, he thought. I wonder what'll happen.

The other five crewmates immediately inserted the keys into the dropship before taking off for their next tasks.

Squee immediately went into the storage shed for a can of fuel to re-fuel the ship with, while Choco pretended to fix the weather node that was the closest to the storage shed.

Charlie fixed the weather node near the drill, and happened to have the task of repairing the drill up next as well, so she could easily head for several tasks in the same laboratory up next.

Squee, not knowing the upcoming dangers, headed for the storage shed for a second can of fuel.

Choco looked around him to see if the coast was clear at first, and once that had been confirmed, he also went into the storage shed, but to cold-clock the dumb blonde instead.

"Well, that wasn't that hard" he said to himself, as he went into the vent hole, but got stuck. "Gosh frickin' darn it! Why must I always be too fat to vent?!" While he struggled to get out, he swiftly sabotaged the seismic stabilisers to distract the other crewmates with him out of sight.

"That's what you get for being so tubby…!" Squee's spirit laughed in a mocking fashion, even if it fell on deaf ears right now. Next up, they finished their fuelling task before moving on to downloading data at the electric room.

Meanwhile, Rice and Vienna rushed to the seismic stabiliser pole near the electric room, while Yikk and Charlie took the one near the laboratory.

With the simple hand-scans as performed by Vienna and Charlie, the sabotage was soon over.

Just in time, Choco got out of the vent hole and rushed towards another weather node, as if nothing had happened just now.

"I have a scan up next" Yikk said, after swiftly checking their pager for more available tasks. "Yes, I'm a hundwed peh-cent suwe of that."

"Of course I believe you, silly Yikk" Charlie chuckled, "because I trust you." She patted her fellow crewmate's shoulder.

The two young crewmates then headed for the medical bay corner in the laboratory to perform the lime crewmate's next task.

Meanwhile, Vienna headed for the office to scan her boarding pass and swipe her card, and Rice was about to head for the electricity room when they suddenly saw a glimpse of someone unconscious in the storage shed.

The younger twin went to the storage shed, and Choco kept his eyes on them in an attempt to knock them out as well, which would soon have to be kissed good-bye as Rice reported Squee's unconscious body for an emergency meeting soon after.

"Where did you find it?" Vienna asked.

"Storage" the crewmate in white replied.

"Dude" Choco said, "I literally saw you run away from that body after knocking them out." He burst out in laughter for finding his lie so good.

"What?! No! I only found it there!"

"Damn, you need to chill out. Shouting is a bit sus, you know that?"

"Sounds like something an impostor would say" Charlie said in a slightly seductive tone, as she pinched the brown crewmate's cheek hard. "But you look way too trustworthy to even be one, sweetums."

The chubster gasped and backed off in shock of suddenly being touched by someone who usually didn't even like being touched.

"Uh, I insist on skipping!"

"Now, I be confused" Yikk said. "Is it Choco oh Wice?"

"Dunno" Vienna said, "so I say we skip." She patted and rubbed the youngest crewmate's shoulder.

Rice was the only one to vote Choco on their pager, while the rest skipped, continuing the mission.

Before continuing the rest of their tasks, Rice, Charlie and Yikk carried Squee's unconscious body towards the medical bay to rest on one of the beds.

"Mummy?" Neri asked once the meeting was over, "I wanna help you with a task. Can I?"

"Why" Vienna replied, "but of course, Neri." She briefly checked her pager. "The next one is the wire box around the corner, would you like to do that one?"

"Sure!" The little boy's face lit up in happiness.

The mother and her children went to the nearest wire box, and she picked her son up so he could do the task for her.

However, rather than connecting the wires by colour, he all put them into straight lines.

"Is this good enough, Mummy?"

"Unfortunately not, Neri my dearie. You'll have to connect them by colour."

"So pink goes with pink and such?"

"That's right."

"Ah, I see." Neri disconnected all of the wires and did it the way as his mother instructed. This time, it went successful.

"Good job, fella! You're the best at it!" Vienna put Neri down and applauded for him, and Yuri smiled and clapped along just as enthusiastically.

Soon, Choco, Rice and Charlie entered the office building, and while the latter two checked the vitals monitor, the former went on to Vienna with an evil smirk.

"Where is Yikk?" Charlie asked. "This place is one clumsy huge thing…"

"At least they're still okay" Rice said, "seeing as their heartbeat is still stable as seen here."

From the small hallway, a vague scream soon emerged, shocking both the crewmates at the monitor and letting them react to it quite quickly.

Choco tried to run away, but bumped into a wall quite hard, making him fall over and easy to be busted by the two nearby crewmates.

"I knew you were sus!" Charlie exclaimed while Rice reported Vienna's unconscious body.

Soon after, Yikk came running quite quickly from the specimen room and decontamination chamber after doing their task of storing artifacts, and had to catch their breath quite hard once they finally arrived in the office.

"Howy smokes" they huffed, "that be quick…!" They breathed in as deeply as possible. "So whodunnit?"

"I told you earlier that it's Rice" Choco said.

"Nonsense!" Rice exclaimed, as they covered Neri's bare ears. "I saw you run from Vienna's unconscious body, and you deserved that bruised nose for a full hundred per cent!"

"Wice, pwease, dun just yell whewe the baby be…" Yikk was trying their utmost best to comfort little Yuri, who cried quite hard at the moment. "Shh, Yuwi, it be aight…"

"I saw Choco run as well" Charlie said in a calmer tone than Rice did. "And yes, he did deserve that bruised nose after bumping into the wall in an attempt to get away from us." She laughed at the crewmate in brown and bit his cheek hard. "Bye-bye, Choco. Have fun scrubbing the toilets and polishing the specimen capsules soon."

"Ow!" the chubster yelped. "Can't you just kiss me instead?"

"Nope." The tomboy voted the exposed impostor out on her pager.

Neri, Rice and Yikk chuckled along with Charlie as they also voted Choco out.

"He deserved that bite as well" Neri said. "Good job, Charlie!"

Vienna's spirit, meanwhile, shook her head hard in slight disapproval, albeit paired with a vague smile of sorts. And Squee's spirit simply laughed at not understanding why.

"Oh, and before you go and do your post-imposter tasks, I want you to carry Vienna to the medical bay." The younger twin pushed their fellow crewmate hard in his back, making him stumble a little. "Chop chop! The scrubbing of the toilets can still wait, you know?"

"Alright, fine. I deserved it." Choco easily carried the unconscious body of his last knocked-out crewmate over his shoulder.

"Speaking of toiwets…" Yikk coughed a little upon noticing something about Yuri, "I'll also be at the medical bay, because Yuwi needs an uhgent change and bath." They glared a little at the rest of the crewmates as if they were tsundere. "Of couwse I can handle that just fine!" They went off in a way gentler fashion than how the impostor literally ran off with an unconscious body just now.

"So" Charlie asked Rice, "which tasks do you have left? I still have to activate the reactor, and inspect a sample."

"I still have to empty the trash and unlock the manifolds" the crewmate in white replied. "Why not head for the specimen room together for the reactor and the manifolds?"

"Not a bad idea."

"Could I please join you guys?" Neri asked with baby-doll eyes, feeling a tad forgotten in the meantime now that his mother and younger sibling weren't near him anymore.

"Why, but of course! You could also help us out with the tasks, if you'd like." The tomboy patted the little boy's shoulder.

"Yay, thank you so much!"

And so, the threesome went off to the specimen room for the tasks.

"Holy damn!" Nori exclaimed once he saw bruises on Choco's face. "Choco, what happened to your face?!"

"I was being tattled on for being the impostor in quite a rough fashion…" the chocoholic replied. "Oh, and I tried to run away, but a wall put a stop to that."

Billy, Arnie, Navy and Pop chuckled a little about it.

"Serves ya right" Lava hissed.

Squee, having heard the snob's mean comment from nearly a metre away, bonked her on the head quite hard.

"Ouch!"

"Either say it out loud so you can get your head bonked by the others too" the dumb blonde said, "or don't say anything at all."

"Thanks, Squee" Choco chuckled, as he got a miniature chocolate bar out of his chest pocket that he handed to Squee. "You deserve a little reward for that."

"Ooh, it contains lemon, nice! Thank you, Choco." They unwrapped the sweet treat and ate it almost whole.

"We also turn out to have another great caretaker among us" Vienna said, as she proudly put a hand onto Yikk's shoulder. "They changed and bathed Yuri when I was unconscious and healing, and my spirit saw that they did it so well, without gagging, complaining or anything!"

"Hey" Yikk said, "I did cheat: by putting a cwip onto my nose, that expwains the wack of gagging! An' as fo' compwaining, I did that in myself, so nobody couhd heah it." They carefully took Yuri from Vienna's arm, and gently kissed their chubby cheek. "That be wight! Yikk took amazing cawe of you jus' now, even Mummy said it…!"

"Mama" the baby giggled with a big smile.

"I be Yikk, you siwwy baby!" The childish crewmate tickled little Yuri underneath their armpits, making them laugh even harder.

"That most likely takes a while for them to finally say that" Billy said, "but neat! I'm proud of you, Yikk… you most likely wanted that for quite some time since seeing me do it, huh?"

Yikk nodded with a smile and a brief giggle.

"That's alright. I am even proud of you for thinking in solutions before doing such… you know, explicit tasks!" The Latinx rubbed their nose against their best friend's before quickly glancing at Nori and Rice. "That's right, next time you guys take care of Yuri while Vienna is knocked out, you should also shove a clip up your nose, and put gloves on those scaredy hands of yours."

"We'll see about that" the twins laughed in unison, secretly not wanting to be reminded of that one fateful time during a mission.

"I helped Char and Rice out with tasks" Neri said proudly, "but the reactor one was quite hard, so that was left up to Char."

"Hey" Nika said, "you usually never refer to anyone with their names, and now you did! I'm so proud of you!" She hugged her younger brother tightly.

"Your children surely are good eggs" Arnie complemented Vienna and Navy.

"For most of the time, they are" Vienna chuckled, as she gently took Yuri over from Yikk's gentle grasp. "Thank you, sweetie."

"I should help those with tasks more often when you and Yuri are not there, Mummy." Neri smiled quite widely as he said it.

"Unless I am an impostor, then you could help me sabotage or directly distract a crewmate from up close."

"Mummy, what's an impasta?"

"An impostor? That's someone who only pretends to be a crewmate, like Choco did just now. Whoever's the impostor often varies per mission we have."

"I see. So kind of like a naughty crewmate?"

"Yes, you could say that."

Meanwhile, Yikk, Billy and Pop were giggling at the word 'impasta'.

"That's what Squee calls it, too…!" the girly girl grinned.

"If it not be 'fake noodle' of couwse" the childish youngster chuckled.

Squee simply chuckled along with the three, totally not knowing what they were actually laughing about.
