"I'm only glad you're feeling better today" Arnie said, as he ruffled Yikk's bangs, and received an approving and cute smile in response.

"Jus' except fo' my ohgans" the youngest crewmate replied, "they still be a wittle defunct, so I'll definitewy change myself evewy now an' then, because of couwse I can do that by myself!"

"Cutie-pie, of course I believe you, and of course I know that you have enough energy for that at this point, too."

The former private grabbed his fellow crewmate into a tight hug, and the latter hugged him back and giggled in a childlike way in response, approving of it to the fullest.

"Say, Arnie?" Choco asked as he saw the happening. "Are you sure that Yikk likes this?"

"I do, Choco!" Yikk replied. "I wuv bein' babied evewy now an' then, jus' wike Mum an' Dad often did back at theih home."

"They're obviously more spoiled than everyone says that I am" Lava muttered, which caught Billy's ear straight away.

"What did you just say?!" they exclaimed as they bonked the snob hard on the top of her helmet.

"Ouch!"

"That's more than rude of you to say. You don't know how unbelievably confusing their childhood was back when they were barely four, having to be home-schooled very soon after being in a pre-school class that consisted of a bunch of mean Siren Heads that could do nothing but picking on them." The Latinx glared hard at the redhead. "If you only have negative stuff to say about us all, you might as well say nothing at all, or else…"

Lava backed off, seemingly being very afraid of Billy's anger.

"Wow" Choco, Nori and Rice chuckled as they applauded at the happening, "never knew you could be so scary for an introvert!"

The yellow crewmate burst out in loud laughter, and reached for Nori's shoulder to put their hand onto in approval.

"Oh, you guys! The fact that you just praised me for that makes my heart go crazy and as hot as freshly-baked bread! Which is a good thing, of course."

"Lava, get off of me!" Squee said. "I'm not a beanbag chair woven for your protection!" They got a rubber spider out of their pocket and showed it to the red crewmate, who screeched and immediately took a seat far, far away from the others. "If I get to be the impostor someday, this is the go-to trick to scare that meanie with…!"

While Yikk and Arnie were still busy talking to each other, Bobby had gotten curious about the thing that stood near the former's lower legs and feet.

Once he saw it move, however, he hissed and swiftly slithered back onto Arnie's leg, making both of the green crewmates laugh loudly.

"Bobby" Yikk chuckled, "it just be Digit, my wobot! They not be scawy!" They crouched to pet their robot on their head.

"Ah, that's right" Charlie said, "you have a new robot, don't you? Which you received as a gift from Marny and Alph? Can I see it?"

"Suwe, I cannot see why not."

"Neato." The tomboy crouched down and reached her left hand out for the robot. "C'mere, buddy. You can trust me."

Digit beeped softly before slowly giving in and gently headbutting the hand, letting Charlie know that she could indeed trust them.

"Man, if only I had the funds to buy a similar robot to interact with if I'm not in the mood to speak to fellow humans…"

Soon after, the small spaceship landed on the launchpad of the Mira HQ, and everyone eagerly waited for their pagers to go off.

The door of the ship slowly opened up, with the launchpad not looking as shiny today due to fairly heavy rain with thick clouds.

Soon after, everyone's pagers finally went off, and today, there were two impostors again.

No, Yikk thought in slight rage, I don't want to be the impostor!

Squee apparently read their best friend's thoughts, and showed their pager to them, revealing the same status.

"We can help one another out" they whispered, "don't worry."

"Oooh" the childish crewmate replied with a slight giggle, before softly hissing with their finger in front of their mouth.

The two quickly headed for the locker room, where they pretended to fix the wires, and Squee did a little act of them not being the best at it once Lava showed up to head for the decontamination hall.

"Hewe, wemme hewp." Yikk gently grabbed one of the cables from Squee's grasp, and connected each one to their correct corresponding colour.

"Thanks."

The two soon followed Lava into the same hall at quite some blinding speed, and at the utmost end of it, Squee distracted her with their rubber spider and knocked her out cold in the midst of the scare.

"That's what you get for being so mean to my sweet Yikk! Don't think I didn't hear you!"

"Come, Squee" Yikk said in some sort of a whisper, "an' be quick!" They led Digit and the dumb blonde to a vent in the reactor room, in which they both went to head for the balcony. "Dammit, thewe be othahs pwesent."

Arnie was shooting asteroids, while Charlie was downloading weather data under the watchful eye of Billy, whose turn it was afterwards.

Choco soon discovered Lava's unconscious body on his way to the laboratory, but the emergency meeting regarding that was quite short-lived, as nobody seemed to know who did it.

Once the meeting was over, the two impostors silently and secretly high-fived before resuming to pretend that they had tasks.

Meanwhile, back at the living building, Pop had slowly started to recover from her flu, but was still fairly lethargic regarding wanting foods. She mostly consumed water in its stead.

Navy was minding his and Vienna's offspring in the living room in the meantime, while Vienna tended to the sick crewmate.

"I'm sorry to hear that you haven't regained much of your appetite" she said. "I know how lame that feels."

"Yeah" Pop replied, "I really wish I could properly eat crackers today, but the nature doesn't let me." She got some of the covers off of her. "But at least I'm glad that the barfing stopped for now."

"If you regained your appetite, feel free to let me know anytime. There's plenty of bland foods among everything else in the kitchen, as well."

"Thanks, even if I don't know when that'll happen, to be honest."

"Would you like anything else?"

"No, thanks, I'm good for now."

"Very well. If you do need anything, Navy and I will always be nearby, alright?" Vienna got off of the empty bed next to Pop's.

"Yes, Vienna."

"Take care." The mother only just got out of the medical room when someone suddenly knocked on the front door.

It was Erin, who came to check on Pop again. She was immediately allowed to enter the medical room.

"Good day to you, Pop" she said. "How are you doing today?"

"I'm doing okay" the girly girl replied. "My appetite currently represents nothing but wanting plain water, I'm a tad lethargic overall, but I'm not nauseous to the point of consistently barfing anymore."

"Hmm. So that means that you're still a tad nauseous somewhere?"

"Yeah, kind of."

Erin grabbed her medical kit and got a few things from it to check on the sick crewmate, starting with an ear thermometer to detect a possible fever.

Beep beep. Negative. 37 degrees centigrade, which was only good.

Next up was the popsicle stick-like thing that was always put onto one's tongue to check their throat.

"Your throat is also okay" the doctor said, "that's a very pleasant sight for me to see…"

Pop slightly chuckled in response.

Meanwhile in the main room, Yuri had gotten sick of being awake and spending time in their playpen for quite some time.

Vienna saw this, and decided to put the theyby to bed for a nap.

"Even if I promised to remain downstairs all day" she said, "don't mind if I do."

"Don't stop doing whatever is necessary" Navy said with a slight chuckle as he planted a gentle kiss on Yuri's cheek. "Sleep well, Yu."

Nika and Neri also briefly stopped their simple card game to kiss their youngest sibling before they were headed for bed.

The purple crewmate headed upstairs towards the master-like bedroom and quickly changed Yuri into a fresh nappy and their sleeping bag before gently laying them down in their crib.

"Sleep well" she quietly whispered before planting a kiss on the baby's cheek, popping their soother into their mouth, activating the monitor app on the nearby tablet and turning on the music box that stood on the nightstand.

Subsequently, she left the room, quietly closed the door, and headed back downstairs, where she briefly got her phone from her pocket to check if everything in the bedroom was still okay.

It was a good thing that the music box was able to play longer tunes than the ones that the stores used to sell up until 5 years ago. Not the same short and boring tune for a bajillion times anymore. The music could be switched and finally lasted longer, but as a result, the box was also a lot bigger, but that wasn't too much of a problem anymore.

"Ah" Navy said once he saw his wife check on their youngest child via her phone, "Have A Sweet Talk. I still love this tune, even if it's been ages since I played the game from which it originated."

Vienna chuckled sweetly in response.

"There were two versions of it, remember? And you liked the one in the remake better, while I liked the one in the original game better."

The couple exchanged a brief kiss and a few more chuckles.

At the same time, Erin was done checking on Pop with mostly positive results.

"Have a good recovery" the doctor said, "and I do hope you'll be able to go on the next mission again soon."

"Thank you very much" Pop said. "Have a nice day."

"Thanks." Erin left the medical room and subsequently left via the front door, back to her office.

The girly girl herself was left watching a few episodes of her currently most-watched show on Netflix on her tablet, while occasionally still having to get out of bed in between the episodes for a bathroom break or some water. In any case, she was at enough peace.

Back at Mira HQ, a few more crewmates had gone down at the hands of Yikk and Squee, who seemed to be the perfect pair of impostors.

Squee had quietly followed Rice back to the launchpad, where they met their fate at the dumb blonde's hands before the latter disappeared into the nearest vent.

Yikk was at the medical bay, where Nori was about to perform a scan.

"Nowi?" the childish crewmate groaned as they laid down on one of the empty beds. "I dun feel so good…" They pretended to have a stomach-ache.

"Oh dear me" Nori gasped, "do you need a change or a pail?"

"Both, an' make it quick!"

The older twin swiftly grabbed a pail from the utility cupboard, but his clumsy brains forgot to take some changing utilities as well, and just as he wanted to sprint back to the cupboard, he slipped and fell.

This is where Yikk came into action and knocked Nori out cold with a head-bonk on one of the doors of the cupboard, a wet spot out of shock in between his legs (even if one couldn't see it through his suit) and a slight nosebleed.

"In youh face, Nowi, fo' fawwing fo' that." They put the pail back into the cupboard before closing it and jumped into the nearby vent.

"In my face indeed" Nori's spirit said as he tried to stop his nose from bleeding. "Cannot believe I actually fell for that. But then again, it's only just for the best that I didn't have to clean their stained area."

"Are you alright?" Rice's spirit asked as they saw their brother cover their nose and saw ghostly blood drip from in between his fingers.

"Yikk tricked me into needing a change and having to throw up. For someone who literally hates being an impostor, they're quite good…"

"Most likely because Squee is also there, and Yikk trusts them, giving them a little boost of confidence as a result."

"Good point."

Meanwhile, Yikk distracted the remaining four crewmates by sabotaging the reactor, and got out of the vent at the laboratory as soon as the thing happened.

Squee got out of the vent at the reactor room, and put their hand onto one of the scanners in an attempt to stop the sabotage.

"Hey, Yikk!" they exclaimed, "you should come, too!"

"No, you dimwit!" the dark blonde crewmate exclaimed back. "Not until evewyone else has awwived!" They pretended to let the laboratory accept some diverted power.

Meanwhile, Arnie, Bobby, Charlie, Choco and Billy sprinted towards the locker room, being too distracted by the sabotage to even notice Nori's unconscious body in the medical bay.

"Quick!" Billy said. "P-p-please open the door t-to the decontamination!" They frantically tried to press the opening button, but the door didn't budge. "Aaah, I hate this s-s-s-so much!"

"Then don't just mash that button as if the universe is ending!" Choco retorted, as he shoved the Latinx's hand away from the button and patiently waited for a few seconds to firmly press it to open the hatch.

Finally, the door budged, and with only just a few seconds remaining, they quickly sprinted towards the decontamination hall, and arrived at the reactor room just as soon.

By the time they arrived, Yikk and Squee had both stopped the sabotage and were innocently smiling at the crewmates.

"It's a good thing that I still have some tasks here" Charlie said as she stood at the reactor's start-up buttons.

"And I only have one left" Arnie said, "which, by chance, is also here!" He headed for the manifolds.

At the same time, Squee pretended to suddenly trip and fall over, and Yikk decided to 'help' Charlie with the reactor, as this was one of those tasks at which she wasn't the best.

"Ow!" the dumb blonde said, "my shin! I think I may've sprained it!" They rubbed their knee and pretended to cry by whining dramatically.

"I'll be done unlocking the manifolds soon, Squee" Arnie said, "and then I'll escort you to the med-bay."

"But Arn, the pain is killing me!"

"Also, that's called a knee, not a shin."

"I don't care what it's called, just hurry the damn up with those many folds!"

Yikk and Charlie were left laughing loudly at the un-cleverness of the orange crewmate.

Once the time was right, the two impostors simultaneously struck their move, and with only Choco and Billy being left as the last regular crewmates standing, the former two won the mission.

"Yahoo!" they both exclaimed, as they exchanged a high-five and a hug, and did a little happy dance.

Arnie's spirit shook his head at how he actually managed to fall for Squee's act, despite the fact that he was usually very sceptical.

"Let me guess" Nori said with a chuckle, "you also fell for a trick just now?"

"Guilty" the former private admitted. "Now Bobby's all sad about me just aimlessly laying there."

"And right he is."

"Hey, bro" Rice chuckled to Nori, "if we're both the impostors next time, we should also trick everyone! Yikk and Squee being huge tricksters as impostors has kind of inspired me to copy them…"

"Alrighty, if you say so… and only because you're a huge clown as well anyway."

"Thank you."

Meanwhile, the two impostors brought the remaining unconscious bodies to the medical bay to put them to rest.

"And now to head for somewhere else in the building for our new 'impasta tasks'" Squee said.

"But whewe?" Yikk asked.

"Ah, glad to see you two around" Billy said, having overheard the brief conversation. "Yikk, dearie, you know how I was an impostor here once? And how I also had to go to the floor where I had to do my impostor tasks?"

The cutesy youngster silently nodded.

"Let me lead you there."

"Why, thanks" both of the impostors replied as they followed suit with the yellow crewmate.

The newly assigned tasks only consisted of sorting empty recyclable printer cartridges and different paperworks in one of the larger offices, and that was neither too explicit nor too difficult.

"So this is what office life is like, huh?" Squee said.

"Maybe so" Yikk chuckled, as they stapled one bunch of report papers before putting it into a folder.

"I kinda like it."

"Me, too. Bettah than cowwege, I pwesume."

"Indeed it is."

It didn't take long before all of the tasks were done and the entire mission group could finally go home for the day.
