"Well… I guess that's alright? I don't think you need to write about everything. Only what you think is important," This is how Robin responded when I showed him my diary. Jeralt suggested this morning that I talk to Robin about the diary. I took his advice.

I tell him that I find him important.

"Then write about me and what I do. This is for your own sake; when you look back on today in the future, what do you want your future self to know? Also, if, and this is just a hypothetical situation, if you ever lose your memories, you'll know what you thought," Robin's eyes stared at me when he says that last line. He is very cute when he stares at me.

"Have you ever lost your memories?" I asked him.

"I have…" His eyes slowly misted up. This is his remembering face. Robin has many faces. Some are seen more often than others. His remembering face isn't seen very often.

He uses his remembering face when he remembers things.

"Did you remember from your diary?" I asked him when he looked done with remembering.

"Hmmm? Oh! I didn't have a journal back then. I started writing them in case I lose them again," Was his explanation.

"Don't worry about me," He said with a small smile. I must have frowned; he seemed to want to cheer me up.

"I wasn't worried about you,"

"Good. You need to worry more about yourself. You had an arrow sticking out of your back the last time we came back from the locket and you didn't even notice. Gods, you're starting to remind me of Chrom…" Robin sighed as he said the last sentence.

"It wasn't painful," I responded to him. It wasn't. I didn't even know that it was sticking out of my back.

Who is Chrom, anyway?

A person I hope I can introduce you to in the future.

"That doesn't mean that you can ignore it, By! You need to take care of yourself more!" I frowned at Robin's sudden worry.

"Isn't that your job?" Jeralt seems to have found us in conversation. That is true. Robin is the planner. I am the doer.

"With all due respect, Captain, when your daughter comes back from a battle looking like a pincushion and not feeling any of her wounds, do you not think that it'll be a good thing for her to worry about herself just a little bit more?" Robin frowned at Jeralt, who just laughed.

"Robin, I don't know what to tell you. If she can't feel it, it's probably not lethal," Jeralt shrugs. That is true. That arrow was not fatal.

Robin looked like he was trying to say something, but he gives up halfway and sighs.

"I suppose so…"

"Anyhow, I came here to tell you guys that Lieutenant Pinelli will be joining us next week for a training session. Something about showing me how much she's improved… Hope she doesn't bother you this time, By," I tilted my head in confusion. This caused Jeralt to sigh.

"The gosling. Orange hair. Stuck around your dad a bit too much," Robin supplied when I give him the same look of confusion.

I give a quick nod in understanding.

The gosling. How do I describe her? She's… intense. Really so. She was attached to Jeralt like a lamprey. I wonder how she's doing.

"Why would she be back? Isn't she in Leicester?" Robin asked Jeralt after a moment of contemplation.

"You know that monastery? The one north of here?"

"Garegh March (?) Garreg Mach? How could I not? It's in every single history book," Robin frowned.

"Well, that monastery also houses the Officer's Academy, and it's not too far of a journey to make on horseback," Robin's eyes went wide as he put two and two together. I simply stared at him, trying to get him to explain what he'd just figured out.

"The gosling got into the Officer's Academy? Isn't that for nobles? Isn't Holst's sister going there this year?" Robin asked with fervour.

Holst's sister, huh? That man spoke a lot about her, usually while drunk.

"What's so surprising about that?" Jeralt raised an eyebrow.

"I wasn't expecting a commoner like the gosling to be accepted," Robin explained.

"The Alliance isn't like the Empire, Robin. If there's a will and enough gold, there's a way,"

"I don't know if that's better or worse…"

That sounds political. I tell him as much.

"I'm not trying to drag you into it, By. I know how much you and your father dislike politics. I'm just pointing something out,"

I nod in affirmation.

"Well, all that matters right now is that Leonie got into the Officer's Academy, and just found out that we're here. I hope you're ready to deal with her next week because the Goddess knows I'm not," Jeralt sighs.

I am not either.
