She had barely managed to close the front door as quietly as possible, when his arm had snaked around her midsection underneath her cardigan and his lips were moving over her neck so tenderly that she almost shivered and her legs were threatening to go weak – not that it was a concern for he was anchoring her to him. She couldn't even remember the reason why she called him over after Noah's bedtime, not that she was complaining about the development.
His free hand was pushing her hair out of his way, while hers went around his neck and cupped the back of his head, where some of the short hair was starting to regrow. His lips found her cheek and then her lips. He pecked her lips a few times before completely giving into the pull she had on him and kissed her soft lips the way he had wanted ever since he saw her at work sitting in her office in that sexy blazer and sparkly eyes that made his blood run straight to his groin and make it almost impossible for him to get any work done for the rest of the day.
"I've missed you," he whispered in between kissing her. He wrapped his fingers around the back of her neck just below her hair, his thumb moving up and down over the soft skin. "Kissing you is all I've been thinking about since I saw you today."
He moved his lips back to her neck and dropped soft kisses all along the curve until he hit the edge of her cardigan at her shoulder.
"That's what I wanted to talk about," she remembered.
"Yeah?"
"You can't do this."
She threw her head back to give him better access, to which he responded by kissing her just below her jaw.
"Do what?"
Olivia moaned quietly, when he sucked on some of the skin and then released it with a loud pop.
"Flirt with me at work."
"I wasn't."
"El."
"I wasn't. All I did was smile at you."
"With the flirty eyes."
Elliot removed his lips from her neck and pulled back, he removed his hand from around her waist and caught her head in between his large hands.
"I can't help it if my eyes are flirty around you."
He pressed his lips against hers and kissed her with passion.
"Maybe you should try being less sexy at work, that could help with me flirting."
Before Olivia could reply he was kissing her again and silencing her. He moved her backwards slowly until her back hit the wall next to her front door, then his lips moved back to her neck and kissed her all the way down to where her neckline ended, he pushed her necklace out of his way with his tongue.
"I'm not trying to look sexy at work."
"No? You were so damn sexy today, I could barely focus on the job after I saw you. Ayanna thought I was missing Eli while he's visiting his friends in Rome."
"El, I'm being serious."
He dropped a small kiss on the valley between her breasts which he could access and then made his way back upwards leaving a trail of soft kisses on his way.
"So am I."
"El, this can't happen again. We agreed not to tell our teams yet."
"I would tell the whole world about us."
"El!"
"Liv, shh. Noah is sleeping, you don't wanna wake him."
Olivia rolled her eyes and released a breath. He was incredibly sexy, yet frustrating.
His palm was back on her waist pulling her closer once again.
"I'm serious, you can't flirt with me at work."
"And I'm telling you, Captain, I wouldn't if you didn't look so sexy."
"El!"
"Shh, Noah. I though you weren't ready to tell him yet either."
Olivia released a breath and sighed.
"I'm not," she whispered.
Elliot grabbed her hands, which had fallen back to her sides and guided them around his shoulders, while he kissed the side of her neck, he previously skipped over.
"Then you should try to be quiet."
"I would be, but it's all your fault."
"Well, you're the one who called me over at this hour."
"It's not a booty call, El. I called to tell you that you can't flirt with me at work. Somebody will notice."
Elliot lowered his hands, he let them run over the curve on her spine and then touched her ass, he squeezed her cheeks and hummed quietly.
"I think your booty says that she called me. And that's one call I can't just ignore."
"Elliot, try to be serious."
"I am serious."
She sighed with frustration and moved a hair out of her face, then placed her hand back on his shoulder, while his lips were going over the skin on her neck for what if felt like a hundredth time that night. Not that she minded.
"So am I."
His voice vibrated against her skin. His hands moved back up to her lower back again and pulled her into him.
"You haven't been listening to anything I just said."
He pulled back from her, their eyes met. Elliot smirked slightly for there was a definite sparkle in her eyes. It was the same sparkle he saw before in the office, after which she accused him of flirting. Well, of course he was, when she was looking at him like that.
"I have, you don't want me to flirt with you at work."
"Yes."
"But I'm not the only one, who has been flirting at work. You've been looking at me with the same sparkle, Captain, but I don't mind at all."
"It's not my fault you look this good, detective."
"Mm… I haven't heard you complain yet."
"Complain that the man I'm dating is 200 pounds of muscle?"
Olivia raised an eyebrow, while Elliot hummed approvingly, and Olivia moved one of her hands over his broad chest down over his well-defined abs until her fingers hit his belt and back up again the same way etching a picture of them into her mind for her to visit anytime she wanted.
"You know I'm your 200 pounds of muscle? At your service whenever you need, whatever you need."
She leaned over to kiss him, she went all in with her lips and tongue. She relished the feeling of his lips on hers. On any part of her body, honestly.
"I know," she whispered.
"Liv, since we are not working at the moment and neither of us is wearing any badges, can I take you to your bed and flirt with you there a little longer and I'll be gone before your boy wakes up?"
Olivia felt a familiar burning already in her lower abdomen at the thought of spending the night with him – which had not been her intention at all, when she called him over – and she could feel her panties slowly getting soaked. She found the power he had over her both exciting and frustrating at the same time.
"Let's go," she whispered decisively.
Elliot hummed quietly, released her and allowed her to lead him into the sanctuary of her bedroom. He'd been there a handful of times before, only once was he allowed to spend the night and experience waking up with Olivia in his arms and getting to wake her by planting kisses on her skin, but that was only because Noah was at a sleepover. Olivia had spent considerably more time in his apartment and in his bedroom, but she was yet to spend the night at his place. It was something he was trying to work towards, but he was cautious about pushing her into introducing him to Noah as her boyfriend – even with Olivia refusing to label them – and letting him tell his kids about the relationship. His Mama caught Olivia sneaking out one time and with that she became the first person to officially know about the change in their relationship. Kathleen was a bit suspicious and had questioned Elliot a few times, but Elliot was hopeful that Kathleen was just guessing. He wasn't concerned about his kids finding out about Olivia, Eli was the only one he was hesitant about, but the boy had seemingly warmed up to her, when they had dinner with Olivia and Noah after the end of Elliot's undercover with the Brotherhood. Both Elliot and Olivia were way more concerned about Noah's reaction to them dating than any of his kids.
She quietly closed the bedroom door and locked it with a click which echoed through the quiet apartment.
"Remember, my son is sleeping across the hall," she spoke quietly.
Elliot smirked. "If I remember correctly, then you're the one that's loud," he teased her.
"I haven't heard you complain," she raised an eyebrow and returned the smirk.
"If it's my name on your lips, then I won't start either," he said softly. He closed the distance between them and kissed her forehead gently.
"It will be," she assured him, failing to mention that it had been his name on her lips for much longer, but then it came out in a silent whisper – even as a prayer – and whispered only into an empty bedroom.
Elliot wrapped his arms around her waist and swayed slightly with her. She rested her head on his shoulder, her hands went around his midsection and settled on his back, feeling his muscles flex with every movement underneath her fingers.
"I'll do my very best not to flirt with you at work. We can be professional," he spoke.
"Thank you," she whispered into his Henley.
"How long do you think we can keep this as a secret?" he asked, hoping not to come across as fishing.
She stayed quiet.
"Just a little bit longer. I'll tell McGrath when he's in a good mood," she promised.
"He's never in a good mood," Elliot replied.
Olivia laughed. "I know," she agreed.
"Darling, I want to let you do this on your terms. We both know you have more to lose, and brass might not look too well upon you hooking up with a detective of my reputation. I support you; you know that."
"I know. McGrath will definitely have a problem with it, but he shouldn't be concerned about it affecting our work. You're not in my squad and I'm not your commanding officer, so we won't have any overlap. I'm currently fully read in on all the OCCB cases and SVU doesn't deal with highly confidential cases that you shouldn't find out about, besides you know all about SVU workings anyway. So, he can't use pillow talk about sensitive cases as an argument either for why it's inappropriate for us to date," she spoke the words that she kept telling herself since she realized that she and Elliot were on a course to something that would lead to disclosing their relationship and filling in a mountain of paperwork.
"Yeah," he agreed. "But you are also one of the few female Captains in NYPD and you don't want them to start doubting your authority, competency or see you as someone that's easy to take to bed," he spoke knowingly. "Or worse see you as someone who had slept her way to the top, since I was your senior in our partnership days."
"Yeah," she said with a sigh.
"I could assure them that it's not easy at all to get in your bed," he was playful.
"Thanks for the offer, but I'm good. I'd rather avoid using that language in their presence," she replied, but there was a smile playing across her face.
"That's wise. Don't give them any ideas," he agreed.
Olivia smiled again into his shoulder.
"I'm sure those old greedy bastards have dreamt about sleeping with you more than once even with wives waiting at home," he said knowingly. He knew he used to be one of those men with Kathy waiting at home, but he knew better to mention his dead wife in her bedroom. This room belonged to Olivia, no other woman had any space in there.
She rolled her eyes and dropped it. She changed the topic to another one she knew he had been waiting for her to bring up.
"I was thinking about talking to Noah over the weekend. Maybe you could come by with a pizza from his favorite place and we could watch a movie together?" she spoke quietly as if she was partially hoping he wouldn't hear her and give her a chance to back out.
But he heard her.
A wide smile appeared on his face, she didn't see it.
"I'd love to. I'll get pizza for Noah and bottle of red for Noah's mom," he promised, he was also taking up every opportunity he had to refer to her as a mom. Both knew it was the role she was born to play.
"Noah's mom might need that bottle after telling her son that she's dating her former partner. He was so young when I was dating Ed, that I didn't have to have the talk and I don't think he even remembers Ed. After that he hasn't really seen me with anyone, and I don't how he might react," she rambled.
He kissed the top of her head and moved his palms over her back soothingly.
"I thought you weren't ready to tell Noah yet," he questioned her.
She sighed.
"You deserve more than sneaking in and out after Noah's bedtime and being hidden like some sort of secret. That's not what we are. I want Noah to know you and I want you to have a place in his life This… Us… It's good. I want this to work and in order for this to work, I need you to know that I'm not embarrassed by you or try to hide you away from my life," she rambled slightly.
"I never thought you were embarrassed be me," he assured her.
"But I'm worried about Noah. What if he doesn't like you? What if he throws tantrum at me dating?" she voiced her fears.
Elliot held her a little tighter and continued swaying slowly, he kissed the top of her head comfortingly. "We'll see how he takes it, we can go as slow as he needs, let him get used to the idea of you and me together. When Eli gets back from Rome, we can have another dinner at mine, and I can buy his affection with some amazing Italian food," Elliot said, already thinking ahead.
Olivia stilled suddenly and lifted her head from his shoulder.
"El," she whispered with an exhale. "If Noah has a reaction to us dating or has a problem with me dating anyone…"
"You'll have to choose him, I know," he interrupted and finished for her. The same applied to any of Elliot's children making a problem out of Olivia, and they would have to figure something out. The children came first, all six of them.
Olivia nodded.
"It's okay, babe. We'll figure it out step by step," he assured her. "I love you and you love me, and we will find a way to make it work."
She completely ignored how easy he made it sound. And the fact that she hadn't actually said that she loved him yet, and he only said those words once in that damned intervention ages ago. They knew they loved each other though.
"Okay."
"What do you say about going to bed now and staying very quiet, so Noah doesn't get a reason to dislike me before he even finds out about me dating his mom?" Elliot suggested.
Olivia responded by raising to her tiptoes and kissing him passionately, she started walking backwards towards her bed until the backs of her legs hit the mattress.
Elliot swiftly pulled his Henley over his head, then dropped it on the floor without caring where it landed. His fingers teased with the hem of her cardigan, before getting encouragement from her to pull it off and throw it in the same direction he threw his Henley.
As they fell to the bed half naked, Elliot continued teasing her with his hands and mouth all over her – touching, teasing, savoring, worshipping.
She let out a loud squeal, when Elliot pushed her bra up and his mouth was attached to her left breast.
"Shh, Noah." Elliot reprimanded her, he grabbed a pillow and blindly handed that to her, so when he took her right breast in his mouth, she was biting down the pillow and barely any sound escaped into the air.
"It's almost like I care more about not waking your son," he commented.
Olivia lifted the pillow from her face, raised her head from the bed and glanced down at him.
"You do. If we wake Noah, you will most likely lose your privileges with Noah's mom, specially the ones in the bedroom," she said seriously.
"You mean, if you wake Noah," he corrected her, his chin pressed in the valley between her breasts and his eyes at hers.
Olivia gave him a look and challenged him, but he didn't take her up on it.
"Just bite down your pillow and let's make sure Noah doesn't wake up," Elliot instructed her.
She resigned, let her head fall back into another pillow, covered her mouth with the other one and bit down hard, when Elliot grabbed her left breast again and continued playing with it.
