Chapter 2
When will my life begin?
(Author's Note)
Annnnnd that's all for the Cassandra POV for now!
I really reccomend listening to Male Covers of the Tangled songs, such as "When will my life begin" and "Mother knows Best", etc, because it makes it feel a lot like the actual characters are singing the songs in this AU!
I will inform you when you'll need to pull one up, like for this chapter.
Please, if you'd like, load up a male cover of "When will my life begin" and start playing it once the scene starts!
(Oh how I wish Jeremy Jordan could have sung these songs for AU reasons...)

18 Years Later...
Ruddiger, a chubby and adorable raccoon, ran behind a flower pot and hid, as him and Varian were playing hide-and-seek with eachother, as they didn't have much to do in here...
Varian grabbed the curtains and yanked them back, hoping to find Ruddiger, "Hah!" But Ruddiger wasn't there. "Hmm, Well... I guess Ruddiger's not hiding out here..." Varian said a bit loudly.
Ruddiger snickered at the fact that Varian couldn't find him, until he was picked up by Varian's hair and pulled up to where Varian was. "Gotcha! That's twenty two for me. How about twenty three, out of forty five?" Varian held the raccoon in his hairs.
Ruddiger shook his head no.
"Okay, well, what do you want to do?" Varian nodded softly.
Ruddiger pointed out the window, he really wanted to go outside.
Varian's smile faded and it turned into a frown. "Yeah, I don't think so..."
"I like it in here and so do you." Varian said to him.
Ruddiger pouted at this.
"Oh, come on Ruddiger, it's not so bad in here." Varian rolled his eyes slightly and smiled, though it was small and wasn't as big as his previous smile upon winning at hide-and-seek.
Varian put down Ruddiger, and looked at the clock and realized what time it was, so he quickly grabbed a broom and proceeded to start singing with a bright tone to his voice.
"7 AM, the usual morning lineup."
"Starting the chores and sweep 'till the floors all clean!"
"Polish and wax, do laundry and mop and shine up."
"Sweep again, and by then it's like 7:15..."
Varian dropped all the cleaning supplies and headed over to the bookcase.
"So I'll read a book, or maybe two or three."
"I'll add a few new elements to my alchemy!"
"I'll play guitar, and knit, and cook and basically..."
"Just wonder when will my life, begin!"
Varian put his books, his alchemy set, his guitar, his knitting supplies and the dishes he had used in the kitchen, away and then headed over to another place in the tower.
"Then after lunch, it's puzzles, and darts and baking."
(He was baking purple cookies, if you're curious.)
"Paper-mache, a bit of ballet, and chess!"
"Pottery, and ventriloquy, candle making."
"Then I'll stretch, maybe test."
"Take a climb, sew a vest!"
"And I'll re-read the books. If I have time to spare..."
"I'll fuse the chemicals some more, I'm sure there's more somewhere."
Varian grabbed a hairbrush, sat down, and began brushing his reaaaaaaaaaaally long hair.
"And then I'll brush, and brush, and brush, and brush my hair!"
"Stuck in the same place I've always been."
Once he was done with brushing his hair, he began to skip and prance around the tower, his hair everywhere now; "And I'll keep wondering, and wondering, and wondering!"
"Wondering, just when will my life begin?"
Varian slowly headed to the balcony, the closest thing to actually being outside he had, then leaned on the balcony rails and looked up in the sky.
"Tomorrow night, the lights will appear."
(He was referring to the lanterns, but he didn't know the name of them.)
"Just like they do on my birthday, each year..."
"What is it like out there, where they glow?"
"Now that I'm older. Father might just..."
"Let me go."
He looked sadly at the sky.
Meanwhile, in the Kingdom of Corona, the crown of the lost prince was just about to be stolen from the castle, by a well-known, infamous thief named Flyianna Rider.
"Wow! I could get used to a view like this." Flyianna raised her brow, standing on top of the castle roof, satchel around her shoulder. Angry, a black-haired girl, growled; "Flyianna, come on."
"Hold on." Flyianna paused.
"Yep, I'm used to it. Girls, I want a castle." Flyianna smirked and looked at the two girls.
"We do this job, you can buy your own castle." Angry spat.
One of the royal guards sneezed.
"Oh? Hay fever?" Flyianna asked with a gentle voice.
The guard agreed with her, "Yeah." Then he paused and looked towards the pedestal to realize someone was in there with him. Flyianna smiled softly, holding the crown in her hand.
The guard turned around, then turned around again when he realized that she was stealing the crown. "Huh? Wait, what? Hey, wait!" He then called for her, as Flyianna was now escaping through the roof's window. Flyianna got to Angry and Red, the Stabbington Sisters, and ran off with them. "Can't you picture me in a castle of my own? I mean, I certainly can. Oh, the things we've seen and it's only eight in the morning. Ladies, this is a very big day." She proudly said.
