Radar sighed. He'd really blown it this time. Dejected, he turned around. "I'm sorry to have bothered you sir. I hope you get your dream back." He pushed the door open and was about to step into the night when he heard the Colonel's voice.

"Hey Radar, now wait a minute! Come here!"

Dutifully he did an about-face, suddenly afraid to look his CO in the eyes. "Yes, sir?"

"At ease. Radar you came here for a reason and I know that you wouldn't be here in the middle of the night unless you had a good one."

"Yes sir."

"So what is it? Not bad news from home, I hope. Your mother is well? Uncle Ed?"

"No sir. I mean, yes sir. They're all well. It's something else."

"Okay…"

"Well, you know, when I sleep… I'm not usually alone."

Colonel Potter's eyebrows rose. "Oh? Well, Radar, that's certainly none of my business. You're a grown man and whatever you choose to do is-."

Radar gasped and put his hand over his mouth. "Oh no sir! Nothing like that, sir! I'd never do anything like that! I didn't mean-."

"Well ,what did you mean?"

He shook his head, wishing he hadn't come. "Oh boy…"

"Radar, I thought we were friends. And friends can tell each other anything."

"Yes sir. Well, you see my… who… I mean, what I sleep with…"

Colonel Potter nodded, but Radar could tell that the man had no idea what he was talking about. But there was no time to explain. He'd just have to hope for the

best.

"Just take your time, son."

"Okay, well… He's gone, sir. I mean really gone! I've looked everywhere! I mean, I-."

The more he talked the faster the words spilled out and the more frantic he became. "I know you probably think it's silly but he's been my friend for as long as I

can remember and to think that he's gone and I might never see him again… Oh gee this is worse than when Colonel Blake… I mean I know he's a real person

and all but it hurts just as badly and-."

A warm hand fell onto his shoulder and Radar lifted his glasses to wipe away a tear. "It's all right, son. Don't worry, we'll tear this camp apart until we find him."

Radar turned around. "But you don't even know-."

Colonel Potter smiled. "I never told you this before but I'm pretty fond of that little bear. He's a cute little guy."

Finally Radar smiled. "Thank you sir. I think so, too."

"Give me a minute and I'll help you look."

"Really sir? Oh that would be great. Thank you!"

Colonel Potter tightened his robe and followed Radar into the darkness toward the building. They were startled by Klinger who jumped out at them, wearing a

blue chiffon gown that Radar had never seen before.

"HALT!"

"Dag blasted, Klinger, what is wrong with you?" Colonel Potter shouted. "We have enough patients around here as it is!"

"I'm sorry sir, I thought you were the enemy!"

"I'm going to be the enemy if you don't get out of my way! Radar and I are on a mission!"

Klinger saluted. "Yes sir!"

"And fix your skirt! It's crooked!"

"Yes, sir!" Klinger replied, adjusting the waistband of his skirt.

"Come on, Radar-we've got work to do."
