A headache loomed over my head; I had just awaken. My head laid rest atop a wooden desk. A normal classroom, with a warm outside shining light, it brightened the wonders that were about to happen.
"Huh?"
My body felt heavy. I was surprised, the surroundings were familiar.
"How embarrassing. I must have slept through an entire class."
That mere memory void of having been here before, sent a cold sensation trickling down my spine.
"Why don't I remember?"
A nearby locker in the room suddenly began shaking; the sounds of metal being scratched and hit were heard, and among the noises, a call for help surged from within, as if it had imprisoned someone.
I quickly stood up and ran towards the locker, but to my surprise, the gates had opened, and with a daze, someone came.
"Huh?!"
Stepping back, I witnessed...
?: "Ahh!"
A loud stumble. Somebody had fallen onto the ground. The impact had rendered them to quickly feel pain rushing through their head.
Having got a hold of themselves, they glared into the horizon. Their daze sublimed into annoyance.
?: "Huh? Wait, where am I? What is this place?"
Wonderful, just as me; clueless where we're in. Approaching them, I knelt and lend them a hand. Bewildered, they quickly laid their eyes upon my presence, and with shock, they screamed. It felt as if they had seen a monster, but clumsily, they fell on their butt and scooted back.
"Pfft hahaha-"
A despairful aura generated alongside my giggles. That surely's gonna leave a mark.
They put up a defence against my insensitive folly. But afterall, I am right. It was funny.
?: "Who are you?! Did you kidnap me?! What is this place?!"
I asked the same, although, to a less antagonistic degree. They seemed afraid of me. I ominously casted a smug smirk that traversed into his conscious, like a blade stabbing his fragile ego.
"You're such a wuss."
I, not-so-guilty, scoffed a bit more.
"You're so rude! Turning me into a monster this quickly already?! So inconsiderate!"
In embarrassment, they laid down their "arms" and stood up. My aura of despair faded away immediately as my poignant actions made me empathize with them. I got closer and gripped their shoulders.
"What's your name?"
?: "Huh?"
They were shocked at first, but then let out a breath.
?: "Ahh, I'm... Makoto Naegi."
I looked at his eyes in disbelief, someone who I vaguely recall. It felt as payback for my insensitivity, as I mirrored their previous feelings.
Some memories began to flow back.
The massive highschool towers over all the other buildings made the establishment an architectural center of attention in the entire world. And there I was, witnessing it with my very own eyes, standing infront of it.
Hope's Peak Academy. That's what it was called.
Only the most qualified students were allowed to enter such school. A place where your life would be set in stone and your dreams fulfilled. With its traditions dating hundreds of years back, it was built to raise…
Hope.
A red mist covered my thoughts, and my headache started to distort my memory. I was forcing myself to remember, but to no avail.
"Aghh…"
My arms released him as I grabbed my head, feeling a brief dizziness.
Makoto Naegi: "Hey, are you alright?"
My composure was restored, and I blinked realizing I was lost in my mind, but hearing his voice drew me back to reality.
?: "Yeah, I am fine. I just tried to understand what is happening."
He smiled.
?: "How 'bout we introduce ourselves properly?"
I extended my arm in preparation for a handshake.
Makoto Naegi: "Well, you already know who I am."
An intense pain generated in my head after hearing those words.
Makoto Naegi: "What's your na-"
?: "I don't remember…"
Stunning, I know. As if he assumed I was used to a normalcy I amsimply not familiar with. But I also acknowledge that is an unfounded guess.
Makoto Naegi: "Does your head hurt?"
?: "Y-yeah, a bit."
After being taken back to my senses, I retraced my steps back.
?: "Hey dude, sorry. I was rude to you when we just met and… well I-"
He was kind enough to acknowledge my sorry self.
Makoto Naegi: "I can't exactly rub that off without calling you mean, first."
He giggled, but I get it. Quite non-elegant on my end.
The mood had lightened, the foundations of trust were starting to be built. Among the construction, a question emerged.
?: "And what is your ultimate talent?"
I asked this impulsively, even though I don't know what that means.
Makoto Naegi: "Oh… I-I am the ultimate hope."
The same feeling of pain came back. Some words he uttered simply caused my memory plaques to bleed. I cannot help but force myself to remember.
?: "Right…"
With a disguised form of mockery, I lightheartedly punched his shoulder with my fist and cackled at him.
?: "Sorry! Hahahaha I don't even know what I asked… I…"
My odd reaction created an awkward mood in the room on how obvious my difficulties were.
Makoto Naegi: "You don't remember what an Ultimate talent is, right?"
We were both lost in an unknown but familiar environment. I nodded.
?: "Now that you mention it… I am meant to know why I am here… but I don't…"
We spent some time together talking to eachother and discussing what little we know; many thoughts were shared and a lot was guessed about the circumstances we lived upon this point, but one conclusion was surely shared.
?: "So we both got accepted into Hope's Peak, right?"
Positively, he acknowledged it, and we moved further. Along his recalling, he began mentioning people.
He seemed to have been at home in his dormitory at the time. And from my understanding, he saw online threads about the "elite" students who were going to attend the school.
The list I imagined went like this:
Makoto Naegi. The Ultimate Hope.
Ugh… this pain again.
Aoi Asahina. The Ultimate Swimming Pro.
Byakuya Togami. The Ultimate Affluent Progeny.
Taeko Hagakure. The Ultimate Gambler.
Chihiro Fujisaki. The Ultimate Programmer.
Hifumi Yamada. The Ultimate Fanfic Creator.
The same mist drowned my thoughts… this was getting annoying.
Kiyotaka Ishimaru. The Ultimate Moral Compass.
Kyoko Kirigiri. The Ultimate Detective.
Leon Kuwata. The Ultimate Baseball Player.
Mondo Owada. The Ultimate Biker Gang Leader.
Sakura Ogami. The Ultimate Martial Artist.
Sayaka Maizono. The Ultimate Pop Sensation.
Toko Fukawa. The Ultimate Writing Progidy.
And at last.
Yasuhiro Hagakure. The Ultimate Clairvoyant.
As makoto finished recalling. I mentioned the two times my head began to hurt and excused myself for zoning out.
?: "So that makes 14 of us, right?"
Makoto Naegi: "No, those were the only 14 students I could recall being posted in the threads. There is a 15th additional student who was also going to attend, but they didn't know who they were."
?: "Oh yeah, you didn't name m-"
A loud mechanical noise emerged from the ceiling. Security cameras and speakers showed up, the windows closed in curtains of steel, the classroom was illuminated with the school's lights and infront of us, and a large screen displayed itself ahead of the board. This, needless to say, startled me.
Screen: "Hello!"
Something that seemed like a mechanical bear with a black and white painted body, a creepy smile and a reddish glowing eye, began to tell us about an important meeting that was shortly about to take place.
?: "Hey, who the hell do you think you are?!"
My headache was intensified by an unfound anger. I began protecting Makoto… but why? And from who?
Makoto tried to calm the mood and settle the situation.
Makoto Naegi: "Sorry about my friend. They're just confused and acting on impulse."
The bear glared at me with a despairful smile; and I, almost automatically, stood infront of the screen about to punch it. But before that happened, he pulled me back and drew me aside.
Makoto Naegi "Thank you, Monokuma. We will be attending shortly."
Monokuma "Aye aye, captain!"
Beep!
The screen went black, into the ceiling and shut itself in. Makoto defied all my expectations…
Makoto Naegi: "It's okay. I am sure that, in regards to our whole situation…"
He slowly approached me and gripped me, this time, by the shoulders.
Makoto Naegi: "Our memories might be faulty, but our feelings are always the same."
I felt thankful he could sense the rage that mysterious robot gave me. But even then, the plaques bled in wonder as to why that was.
Makoto Naegi: "Like my feelings of you being an impolite dimwit!"
Aware of his uplifting behavior, I accepted being ridiculed by the way I acted earlier.
?: "Oh shut up! I could beat you up with my bare hands! I also served in the navy seals, I could kill you over a thous-"
We joked around until we heard an announcement.
Ding, ding, ding, ding!
The same screen that had just appeared, returned.
Monokuma: "Ahem! Attention everyone! The Meeting will be comencing shortly! Make sure to gather at the gym!"
Beep!
And back in, it went.
?: "Alright Makoto, let's go."
And so we went together. However, something completely unexpected presented itself.
Having come out from Classroom 1-B, the entire school seemed to have suffered heavy damage. Not only was that of concern, but the place also seemed entirely abandoned; covered with vines and vegetation. Nature had completely taken over the ruins of what once was a lively complex.
We both began exploring the area, till we found a semi shut door; this was the gym.
And upon entering… a whole show of awe would unveil itself.
"Oh, more people have arrived."
?: "Huh?"
"Did you all end up in here, too?!"
?: "Y-yeah, right."
"Weren't we already here? It all feels so familiar…"
"Do you want me to check on what's happening?"
"That would be ideal…"
"Be careful! The debri could probably harm us…"
?: "Wait!"
I shouted at the top of my lungs.
?: "Who the hell are you, guys?! And more importantly… WHY THE HELL ARE WE HERE?!"
"And that makes 16."
?: "What?"
"I am talking about us. We're all 16 highschool students."
"What do you think that means?"
That heavily contradicts what Makoto and I discussed… what even…
"Oh right, forgot to answer your question, sorry."
"Here's my name. I am Junko Enoshima. The Ultimate Analytical Prowess."
Damn it. The pain… why…
Junko Enoshima: "I came to the conclusion that making ourselves clear will help alleviate the chaos, so, I am glad to be the stepping stone for it."
Seems like the people in the threads were off by one person. But that doesn't answer the question as to why they infered it were only 15 students. Needless to mention they didn't know of me nor her.
"Hey! Hold the fuck on! How do we know this is all of us? More might be coming our way!"
What a rude man.
Junko Enoshima: "No. I am sure it is just the 16t of us. If what I have assumed is correct."
A woman with a forced european accent seemed interested.
"Oh? What have you assumed?"
A very tall, fat nerdy man seemed interested aswell…
"Nyoohhhh! What a beautiful know-it-all!"
He adjusted his glasses in a stereotypical anime cliché manner and formalized his tone.
"We shall listen to her!"
It was at that moment… the bear's voice echoed throughout the gym.
Monokuma: "Okayyyyy, quiet everyone!"
A little girl seemed a little bit scared by the voice.
"H-huh? I-is that Monokuma again?"
Monokuma then suddenly appeared behind the gym's podium.
Monokuma: "Ahem! Thanks for bearing with me. Puhuhu-"
The girl screamed in fear. I rushed up to her and shielded the terror this bear upheld away. However, the angry biker man had already taken the words off my mouth.
"Hey there you asshole! Who do you think you are?!"
Monokuma: "Hey now… violence is highly not tolerated in this school! If you violate the school rules you will be severely punished!"
The rude man rushed up to the robot.
"What do you mean you god damn idiot?! What is this mess?! This is not what I was offered at all! This is a goddamn scam! You stupid little shit, I am gonna beat you up to pieces and whomever idiot put me up to this stupid bullshit!"
As the man sprinted, I quickly dashed infront of him and stopped his leap, I fell in full composture while he laid down on the floor.
?: "What do you think you're doing you idiot?! You might die impaled or something if you attack this thing! You were told that you would suffer severe consequences if you do so!"
"...yeah s-sorry."
The rude man stood up and stepped back to his place; I took the girl by her hand and accompanied her with me and Makoto.
Monokuma laughed at the scenario this man caused and mocked us both for acting like animals. Almost as if it knew how we were to behave under certain situations. This thing surely enjoys getting in our nerves.
Monokuma: "Surprising. I was expecting a worse outcome."
He raised his tiny bear arms and spoke loudly into the podiums microphone.
Monokuma: "However! This is not what we came here for! We came here for me to announce th-"
Junko Enoshima: "This is a killing game, correct?"
Monokuma froze in place. As if it were caught on what it was trying to pull out.
?: "Killing game? What do you mean?"
A woman wearing violet clothes, almost as if they were a detective in mere appearance, walked up to Junko, who stood near the podium.
"Junko and I were investigating the place."
Junko Enoshima: "Yes, we found two notes in our own desks when we both woke up from Classroom 1-A."
I was impressed by the synergy of these two girls. They seemed to be going to make whatever this game is extremely easy. That surely would be a ludonarratively boring gameplay element.
"I found this note in my desk. It describes the entirety of Hope's Peak's architecture."
Junko Enoshima: "And I found this note in my desk. It explained all the details of a supposed killing game that would occur and the purposefully incomplete details of a possible "mastermind"; very vague. Indeed."
"We can easily uncover what you're up to, Monokuma. We won't let you treat us like toys for a sick childish play."
A glimpse of all of us simply watching these two handled it all was truly a show to be witnessed.
Junko Enoshima: "So then, Monokuma. How about y-"
The robot, in anger. Said the following:
Monokuma: "Puhuhu- so you figured out that much, huh? Well…"
The floor trembled and pillars raised at each side of every single one of us. Every pillar contained what seemed to be a pad on it. Wonderful, I asked.
?: "What the hell are these things?"
Monokuma: "They are your wonderfully crafted student monopads! They contain every single detail about you! So take them before I KILL YOU!"
We all took our pads and read what they said.
The red shocks blurred my thoughts once more.
An omninous despair flew across me…
Monopad: Born in a family of tremendous ability and prowess. Mukuro Ikusaba, the Ultimate Killer, was born as an outcast within it. Alone and rejected, she seeked to join a mercenary group located in the Middle East. Fenrir, was a feared private group of super soldiers that worked for the interests of the highest bidders; Mukuro, having shown excellence in the battlefield, was-
I dropped my pad. I fell on my knees…
The girl and Makoto shouted for me and quickly came to my aid. Makoto grabbed me by the shoulders and helped me get on my feet, while the girl handed me back the pad.
?: "S-sorry. I was just…"
Makoto Naegi: "It's fine, no need to worry."
I smiled at him and calmed down. Although… that breeze would immediately end.
Monokuma: "Puhuhu- Seems like Mukuro has found out who she is!"
Who?
That's right. The bear was looking at me.
"Calm down everyone! As the moral compass of everyone here, I shall be the one to supervice the integrity of the group and its unision and obedience towards the class masters! So lets listen to what Monokuma has to say!"
This guy is annoying.
Monokuma: "Mukuro, that girl wearing military clothes next to Makoto is the Ultimate Killer. Also, there are no teachers here. They're all dead"
Mukuro Ikusaba: "What did you just say?!"
Makoto and the girl both got on by my side. But I knew what was going to happen.
Junko was good at implying a stance of authority and fierceness; she laid her eyes upon me. That detective looking girl followed forth. Both, determined, knew what they were going to do to me. The force of a detective and an analytical genius.
How the hell can I even fight against this?!
Junko Enoshima: "So you are the one meant to kill all of us."
You little shit… stop tainting me like this! Who do you think you are?!
?: "It would seem. Our notes clearly lead to the conclusion that this killing game has a mole inbetween us. Someone who's serving the mastermind in this circus."
!
Junko enoshima: "And she was told to not show herself at all costs."
!?
My anger fumed as I stared thristying for blood at the two girls who spewed such nonsense.
But then, the pointy haired guy that has been helping me all this time, did it again.
What a bless…
Makoto Naegi: "No, that's wrong! Mukuro didn't know who she was until Monokuma told us! We were both in the same classroom 1-B! She helped me get off a locker that I was trapped in, plus, she didn't even have any note nor any special perk to tell her who she was nor what her mission was meant to be!"
?: "Is that so?"
A man on a very elegant outfit said in the distance.
?: "And who are you, exactly, to say that?"
I gripped my fists when I heard this asshole.
Monokuma: "Oh yeah, he's Makoto Naegi. He's the one meant to save all of you… Puhuhu-"
Junko Enoshima: "Then, Makoto, why are you def-"
Monokuma: "Alright! Shut up everyone! Since miss Kyoko Kirigiri with her detective bullcrap and miss Junko butting into my amazing revelation. THE MEETING IS OVER! Also, your rooms have been assigned with your names labelled on each door!"
The robot, let out a macabre laugh.
Monokuma: "Feel free to roam around the school. Build your friendships as you will! You're free to explore to your hearts content."
Can you shut up already?
Monokuma: "JUST ONE MORE THING! You're not allowed to be absent from your dormitories once nighttime ends. You will be killed if you are. Puhuhu! AND YOUR DORMITORIES ARE AT THE INN."
The robot, just as it appeared, had banished. Leaving a sensation of despair among all of us.
The rage, taint and the plaques bleeding were too intense. My faulty memory was rendering me unable to help myself in a believable way. The despair this gave me was unbearable.
I hugged makoto, petrified in fear and disbelief; distrust consumed me.
The little girl hugged my legs and then said.
?: "M-miss Mukuro…"
I heard her, nodded, and awaited for her to tell me…
?: "My name is Chihiro Fujisaki… I-I am the Ultimate Programmer… please, I was afraid when that robot came in and you protected me… Miss Mukuro… just know I don't fear you… I know miss Mukuro won't harm any of us…"
Makoto shouted with might, but most importantly, aimed his words towards Junko and Kirigiri respectfully.
Those assholes…
Makoto Naegi: "That's right, Chihiro! Monokuma just wants us to fight and cause chaos within eachother! We cannot doubt Mukuro and assume that she's gonna kill all of us based on papers that might be fake or plants to make us doubt eachother!"
Their judgemental eyes kept looking at me. But I knew I had Makoto and Chihiro here to defend me. There's no doubt we are basing ourselves entirely off a gut feeling, but this hope is all we have.
And it relieves my heart.
In the distance, once more, the girl with the seemingly forced european accent approached.
?: "Excuse me. My name is Taeko Yasuhiro. I am the Ultimate Gambler. And I have found this in my desk."
Taeko showed us a note, similar to what Junko and Kirigiri had brought up.
Taeko Yasuhiro: "My note has a distinct incosistency with the two Junko and Kirigiri had shown."
She made us all gather to see the note for ourselves and examine both Junko's and Kirigiri's alongside her's.
A very tall and strong woman took the lead in the conclusion of what this fair distinction entailed.
?: "So you're saying someone, here, was shown wrong information on purpose, correct?"
Taeko Yasuhiro: "Quite so, indeed. But also, look at the stamp."
That's quite the neat monokuma looking stamp. Not like that makes this whole situation any worse, of course.
?: "S-so a-a-are you saying y-your note is g-genuine unlike the o-o-others?"
Junko Enoshima: "No. The notes we've received are most likely a gamble by the mastermind."
You again…
Kyoko Kirigiri: "Let's lay it out in a simple way so we all can understand the sayings of the notes and what Monokuma has said so far."
With them nosing in, we all had to follow.
From my understanding. The notes are labaled like this.
Kyoko's Note mentions the entire architecture of Hope's Peak Academy, making her and Junko able to explore the entire place. We are currently in the first floor of the academy, and all the clues that could be gathered so far were these 3 notes; so Kyoko is fairly firm on her detective skills, and the mysterious perk she seems to have received.
Junko, on the other hand, has a note that indicates how the killing game will play out. It showcases a system of class trials that will be utilized if a killing is carried and a suspect is found out.
It all sounds rather familiar…
It explicitly mentions a mole that is the mastermind's helper; they reside between us and will aid the mastermind in the game to make things the all more "interesting".
And all eyes seem to have voted me as such mole.
However, Taeko's note is distinct in design. It gives an understanding that it comes from an "official" source. It indicates that one of us is lying.
Monokuma also explicitly mentioned having to be in our rooms once nighttime ends. This gives room for horrid things to occur. The narrative obsenity is showing itself in such an apparent obvious way that is causing me to feel annoyed more than despairful. This stupid game is bothering everyone.
Junko Enoshima: "So, Taeko. Where did you find this note?"
Taeko grinned in a fashion akin to Monokuma's.
Taeko Yasuhiro: "Why should I tell you? Afterall, you're the one placing blame without any second thought."
Even if she's ominous. I like her.
Taeko Yasuhiro: "Will you stalk me at nighttime and kill me under mere suspicion, too? Ahuhuhu-"
I crossed my arms and scoffed at Junko. It was satisfactory to listen to Taeko.
Junko Enoshima: "Ngh!"
I smirked.
Kyoko Kirigiri: "Don't let this syphon your logicism, Junko. Taeko is correct in her claim, we shouldn't draw conclusions without having considered every possibility."
You two again butting into my joy.
Everyone had agreed with Kyoko, and we all settled the dispute as a gamble being taken by the mastermind to cause chaos among all of us. Chihiro, Makoto and I were all targeted by the judgement Junko and Kirigiri had laid upon us; Taeko was indeed a miracle. Although, can I trust such a gambler?
Mukuro Ikusaba: "Hey, Taeko. About your ultimate ability, I wanted to ask if you tend to li-"
The girl, in her cute lolita dress, stared at me, with creepy, voidful and empty eyes.
Taeko Yasuhiro: "Do you believe what your pad says?"
…
Makoto took me from the shoulders and dragged me outside of the gym, Chihiro accompanied us aswell. And after all of that being done, we explored the entire first floor. Once done, it was almost sunset. We had separated our own ways and went to our respective rooms.
The despair inducing dread and doubt that creeped unto all of us was clear. My mind was filled with thoughts that could not easily be dismissed. Me being a murderer? Me helping whomever is behind this to make things more entertaining? Wasn't I just attending Hope's Peak to secure my own life? Why would I say yes to such detestable outrageous game of cruelty?
Why the fuck would I participate on this to no longer be an outcast?! I just want to live at peace, damn it…
Mukuro Ikusaba: "I am… tired."
My body was feeling stressed and tired from the intake that had occurred today. I fell within the embrace of my bed. It was rather humorous that we could dig all the intricacies that involved this 'killing game' even before Monokuma could tell any of it. It feels dreadfully uneasy how 'easy' it has all been for us. Specially thanks to Kyoko and Junko… even if they cornerned me. But I am also thankful towards Makoto and Chihiro… and I guess Taeko, for helping me out.
However, I felt something "hard" under my pillow.
Mukuro Ikusaba: "What the hell is this?"
A knife. A knife. A knife. A knife. A knife.
But for who? But for who? But for who?
No… This is not for me… I need to escape… I HAVE TO ESCAPE…
I ran. I ran as fast as I could… I reached the door of my dorm… I opened it AS MIGHTY AS I COULD AND-
I fell with him.
Makoto Naegi: "Hey! Agh… What happened?!"
Mukuro Ikusaba: "M-makoto! I am so sorry…"
With haste, I got up and dragged him into my room.
I explained to him about the knife I had encountered, and we discussed about the possibilities.
Makoto Naegi: "I see. This is your perk."
Makoto…
I was an open book emotionally, he could read me without question. He calmed me down and took the knife for himself.
Makoto Naegi: "Look, Mukuro. I know your doubt on your own self might be overwhelming, so I offer you this."
He sat on my bed, with his eyes pointing at the floor.
Mukuro Ikusaba: "What is it?"
Makoto Naegi: "I don't know who I am."
!?
What?!
Mukuro Ikusaba: "I understand what you're trying to say, Makoto. Don't worry."
He seems to have conflicting memories that do not match with his monopad. Makoto's hazy memories seem to recall he did an amazing feat that earned him the title of Ultimate Hope, but in accordance to the pad, he's just…
Mukuro Ikusaba: "You're talentless. That doesn't fit your memories, right?"
Makoto Naegi: "Yeah… I couldn't believe it either. But hope, conceptually, is something my memory remembers. It's a belief I strongly embrace… but… after what Taeko said, I…"
I could feel it. He had lost trust on himself, a mirror I could see myself in.
Mukuro Ikusaba: "Makoto? The Ultimate Despair? That's just ridiculous!"
I sat next to him and looked his way. I know that, even if it is just a gut feeling, I can sense that he's feeling fear towards his very own self. Explaining why Junko, Kirigiri and Taeko's reliance on logic's rationale was not exactly off, but that they do induce despair into those who it judges, was very mentally consuming for the both of us. But, even if arduous, I could calm Makoto's doubt on himself; we made a promise. With our secrets having been revealed to eachother, I gave my knife to him as a sign of trust. He kindly accepted and took it to his room… but before leaving…
Makoto Naegi: "Hey, Mukuro…"
Mukuro Ikusaba: "Yes, Makoto?"
Makoto Naegi: "Watch out outside. You don't know who could be hiding out there."
He smiled at me with a warm sense of care. I retured the sentiment and nodded sure that I would not fall into such witty traps.
After he'd been gone, I felt that for my final act before nighttime, should be to visit Chihiro's room just in case.
We spent some time together talking about ourselves and how we got here. Chihiro seemed to be quite a gifted kid before attending this school.
Fun was had, it was a lovely friendly time between us two.
Mukuro Ikusaba: "Hey, Chihiro, let's go do some exploring once the gang's back up. What'cha think?"
I grinned, a smile that went from cheek to cheek.
Chihiro Fujisaki: "Y-yes, Miss Mukuro! I will be waiting for when you two want to hang out. I am… s-sometimes busy with my laptop. But you can always call for me and I will attend!"
The friendship bond between us three was felt, even if metaphysically.
I waved to Chihiro and joyfully closed the door.
Having checked on her, I came back to my room and got into bed. Many thoughts had crossed my head. Everytime I looked at my monopad, I thought about why I… was labelled as such atrocious thing.
Makoto's feelings of confusion had reached me; I could not understand myself nor who I was or what am I supposed to be. The possibilities of my memories being true, the monopad and its confusion… it was a thetical and antithetical nightmare.
But for what I knew, I was tired. And like so, I closed my eyes.
And soon…
From such a long day…
I could finally rest.
Soothing air flowed across me. It was quite the eventful day. Resting… lovely rest… how could I forget…
The fear that I could taste?
Prologue end.
