Lucius Malfoy hated the cold. It seeped into his skin and made his bones ache. He couldn't believe his wife had convinced him to go to Azkaban of all places! It was cold and wet! She said it was for Harry and Lucius would do anything for the sweet boy. He didn't know when he had gotten so attached to the boy but he had. Maybe it was all the cookies he had baked for him or buying him new clothes. Harry was just so easy to love. He was polite and kind, he was patient with his son and he didn't care about Light or Dark. So yes, if anything happened to Harry he would burn the world down. Following his wife down the empty hallway, he thought perhaps she was coming here to mock her sister. She did it every year on her birthday "a little treat for myself, darling" but she had never brought him along before and it wasn't her birthday. He decided it would probably be less of a headache if he just did what she said. They passed a couple of those foul Dementor guards and he thanked Merlin everyday his wife could produce a Patronus. It was a swan, an animal that symbolizes love and romance. They were also vicious when their family was threatened. He thought it fit her perfectly.
"Here we are! Cousin Sirius! Come out! We need to speak with you." Sirius Black? Maybe she wanted to murder him for his actions against Harry's parents? He wouldn't blame her so he kept an eye on the hallway, making sure no one would interrupt. The man in question pressed himself against the bars, a wild smile on his face.
"My my, come to see your favorite cousin, Cissy?"
Narcissa summoned a chair and sat down so they were face to face.
"Now Sirius, you know I couldn't stand you growing up. I'm not here for you, I'm here for Harry." Black's face twisted up as he tried to lunge through the bars.
"What have you done to him? I swear to Merlin, if you or your Death Eater husband hurt him, I'll find a way to get out of here!" He snarled out.
"What's this, Cousin? You care about the boy whose parents you betrayed? How interesting" Lucius watched Black flinched back like he had been hit before he pressed himself against the bars again.
"Please Cissy, please don't hurt Harry. He's just a child. He hasn't done anything wrong. Hurt me! I don't care." Lucius felt uncomfortable with Black's begging.
"Don't be ridiculous, Sirius. I'm not going to hurt Harry, he's going to be a Malfoy." Black's face scrunched up in confusion.
"What do you mean?" His wife gave an unhinged grin and said "Well he's going to marry our Draco!"

Sirius Black was not having a good day. Well it was never a good day in Azkaban but he had woken up to a constant drip in the corner of his cell and a rat had chewed a hole in his blanket. He hated rats. He could hear his crazy cousin Bellatrix ranting a couple of cells down. The guards loved keeping families together so they put the Black cousins on the same floor. He shifted into Padfoot and crawled underneath his cot. The Dementors didn't bother him as much in his other form. He was daydreaming about the past when he heard footsteps coming down that hall. He quickly changed back to his human form before putting his back to the wall. Sometimes the human guards came down and roughed up the prisoners. A face he hadn't seen in years yelled out to him. What in Merlin's pants was Cissy doing here? He knew that she came once a year to hurl insults at Bella but she never stopped by his cell. After a rather confusing conversation, he found out they were trying to marry his little godson to their nasty son! His Harry was never getting married, he was too young!
"What? Harry is not marrying your son!" He watched Lucius roll his eyes before he pulled something from his pocket. "Be careful with it," he said as he passed it through the bars. It was a picture. A blonde boy was holding another boy up by his armpits and swinging him round. They were both laughing before they collapsed in a pile. The scene started over. The other boy was Harry! Sirius felt tears fall down his face as he continued to stare at the picture. Harry was so big. He had the signature Potter hair but his eyes were all Lily.
"What do you want?" His cousin gave him a handkerchief and he gladly wiped his face.
"We're getting you out of Azkaban, of course."
"You're what?" Both Lucius and Sirius shouted out.
"Anyone with eyes can see you love the boy and if you love the boy, you wouldn't have helped murder his parents! And frankly, I don't care if you did. Harry is not going back to those muggles and we won't be able to adopt him, so the next best thing is you." She reclined in her chair looking smug as can be.
"Darling, how are we going to get him out of Azkaban?"
"Don't worry, dear. I already have the lawyers working on it." Cissy patted her husband's arm.
"I'm thinking by Yule at the earliest and Easter at the latest. I mean according to my sources, they threw the next Lord Black in prison without a trial. If it can happen to him, who else will fall prey to our corrupt government?" Her voice was full of glee.
"Once you're free, you will need to go to Saint Mungos for a check up. Spending ten years in Azkaban couldn't have been good for you. I'll explain the situation to Harry and see if he wants to write to you. He was sorted into Hufflepuff , you know." Lucius was just oozing pride, his tone full of warmth.
"Hufflepuff?" He barked out.
"He looks wonderful in yellow."
"Good for him! Does he like Hogwarts? Has he made many friends? What's his favorite class?" As the Malfoy's answered all his questions, one was left unanswered. If it was so easy to get him a trial, why had Dumbledore never done it?

Hermione Granger was so happy. Once Draco had started talking about the Harry Fan Club or HFC, he seemed to relax completely! He had her sign a membership form and she even got a pin! It said Drarry which he explained was a clever combination of his and Harry's names. She couldn't believe she already had two whole friends! She never seemed to be able to relate to other children. She always learned too quickly for any of her peers to catch up and her magic hadn't helped either. So she was labeled a know-it-all and left alone. Her parents had tried to comfort her but they could only do so much. With a grin, she finished writing the letter to them and left her dormitory. Once in the common room, she was stopped by Neville Longbottom. He was rather shy and hadn't seemed to make any friends in their House.
"Hi Hermione, are you going to the Owlery?" She gave an affirmative and he replied "I need to send a letter to my Gran and I'm afraid I'll get lost, do you
mind if I go with you?" She gave him a nod and they left through the portrait. She rearranged her satchel and he caught sight of her pin.
"Heir Malfoy let you join his fan club?" Neville gasped.
"Yes. Did you not receive an invitation? Why do you call him Heir Malfoy?" She stopped herself before she could get carried away. Harry didn't mind her constant questions but most people did. Neville flushed before he responded with "my Gran is old fashioned and demands that I address everyone by their proper title. Heir Malfoy seemed reluctant to let anyone join it." He leaned close and whispered "I heard the only other member was a House Elf"
"Oh you mean Dobby?" Dobby had been the one to give her the button! She had been outraged by the thought of Draco having slaves before he told her he had personally freed all of the Malfoy elves when he was nine. Dobby even had a week of vacation every year!
"He's a little odd but very dedicated to the ship!"
"What ship?" Neville said faintly. She looked at him from the corner of her eye before saying "sorry, members only." He shrugged helplessly before changing the subject.
"It stinks Heir Potter wasn't in Gryffindor" Hermione stopped and glared at Neville. She had noticed how uncomfortable Harry was with his newfound fame and she wouldn't let anybody upset her new friend. Before she could go into a three paragraph rant about personal space and minding your own business, Nevillle continued "it would have been easier to talk to him. Our parents were friends so perhaps we could've shared some stories" Hermione closed her mouth with a click. Harry never really mentioned his parents but she got the feeling that he didn't know much about them. She gave Neville another look before saying "I bet he would love to see any pictures, if you have them." Neville beamed at her before taking his letter out of his pocket and writing something at the bottom of it. "I'm asking Gran to go through the photo albums and send any pictures of the Potters." They finally made their way to the Owlery and coaxed two brown barn owls to take their letters.

Harry's first week of classes took some getting used to. Hermione had introduced him to Neville Longbottom, a kind boy in Gryffindor. He mostly shared his classes with Ravenclaw students but had Herbology with the Gryffindors. It turns out Neville was a genius with plants! Professor Sprout had given him ten points the first day of class. Unfortunately the only class he had with Draco was Transfiguration and Professor McGonagall was a strict woman who did not tolerate goofing off. He looked down at his schedule and saw that his next class was Potions. The older Hufflepuffs had said that Mr. Snape was even stricter than McGonagall. He didn't know how that was possible but braced himself for a total disaster. He opened the door and saw that he was the first 'Puff to arrive. He saw an empty spot in the back next to a Ravenclaw girl and quickly took a seat. Pulling his textbook out, he gave her a smile and said "hi, my name is Harry." He hadn't told Draco but he was determined to make plenty of friends. She gave him a big smile before responding "hi Harry! My name is Morag Macdougal! You're a lot shorter than I thought you'd be!" He gave a snort before reminding her that he was only eleven and he would grow. Probably. She gave him a sympathetic look and a pat on the shoulder. The rest of the students filed in at this point and Mr. Snape called out everyone's name. Once he reached Harry's he seemed to pause before continuing. Harry figured he probably didn't want to show favoritism since Harry was engaged to his godson. The class passed by quickly as Harry and Morag carefully chopped ingredients and stirred in the correct amounts. Mr. Snape called out for everyone to bring their completed potions to his desk. Thankfully their potion seemed to match the picture in the text pretty well. As Morag dropped it off, Harry packed up his bag. This was his last class of the day and he was eager to meet Draco. Calling a quick goodbye to Morag and his Housemates, he walked toward their meeting spot. Draco was already waiting and he clutched his chest as he dramatically fell against the wall.
"Harry, every time I see you, you take my breath away" he said loudly causing some of the people walking by to burst into laughter. Ignoring them, Harry wrapped his arms around Draco.
"I miss you. I should've just convinced the Sorting Hat to put me in Slytherin"
"But Harry, Father has told everyone about how proud he is of his Hufflepuff son." Harry felt his cheeks get hot as remembered the letter the Malfoy's had sent him. He was pretty sure the tear stains had been from Mr. Malfoy and Mrs. Malfoy had said something about a "wolf in sheep's clothing." They had both gushed about how proud they were of him. Hiding his face in Draco's shoulder, he made sure to ask again if it was okay for them to study in the Slytherin common room.
"Of course it is Harry! I already asked Uncle and he said it was fine!" Draco began to drag him toward the entrance and said the password. They went in and Harry looked around. While the Hufflepuff common room was cozy, the Slytherin one was elegant. It was done in tasteful shades of green and silver. He spotted Vince and Greg with the rest of the Slytherin first years and they made their way over.
"Harry, I'm so glad you could make it! I thought for sure Draco would hide you away some more." Greg teased. Harry laughed as Draco gave the bigger boy a shove.
"Yes Draco, I can't believe you let your precious fiancé around riffraffs like us" Vince added. Harry had noticed that Greg and Vince were more like one person than two. Where one went, the other followed. One of the girls gave a cough before she said "perhaps someone could introduce us to Heir Potter?" Greg and Vince rolled their eyes in unison before Greg said "Harry, this is Daphne Greengrass, Blaise Zabini, Pansy Parkinson and Theodore Nott"
Everyone gave a wave when their name was mentioned. Harry made sure to wave back. Harry got his homework out before noticing that everyone was looking at him. He shifted slightly, feeling awkward under their gaze.
"I'm just gonna say it! Potter, did Draco feed you a love potion?" Blaise spoke out. He stared at him before looking at Draco. He was pinching his nose and muttering that he now "knew how Father felt".
"No?" Harry answered.
"He didn't tell you he was dying from a deadly disease, did he?" Pansy asked. Harry felt his eyebrows knit together as he said no again.
"And you're sure he didn't kidnap you?" Daphne leaned forward as she asked, her eyes boring into his. Leaning closer to Draco, he whispered "why do all of your friends think so badly of you?" Draco scowled at them and said "they're just jealous that they could never come close to what we share, Harry."
"Everyone's just surprised, is all. Draco has been bragging about marrying you to everyone for ages! We all kind of expected him to crash and burn. We thought he'd get a reality check but you actually agreed. The union between the Malfoy and Potter family will make waves and some people aren't ready for that" Theo explained, causing everyone else to stop talking.
"Oh" Harry said. Draco looked at him, his expression worried.
"I don't care. I love Draco and if anyone has a problem with that, they can take it up with me" after his rather bold announcement, they went back to studying.
