Feeling all eyes on her Lucy signs, " guess I'll go first, I call this one Aware of my end"
The sweet release of death. It all seems funny now, while she didn't share Luans zeal for comedy... Lucy certainly did like cruel irony.
She was hiding in the vents, the constant throb of her wounds kept her company. Lucy was almost certain she had a concussion, as a harsh wave of nausea swept through her. Every breath she took was hot agony, her aching ribs compressing against her oxygen deprived lungs.
Death wasn't sweet at all. It wasn't supposed to be like this.
after using profane* language Lynn was grounded from family movie night. Lucy who hadn't wanted to go to the movies had naturally stayed home.
Lucy struggles to force oxygen into her lungs only cough up blood, the seance had started as normal. However this time Lucy had decided to use an arcane grimoire her great Aunt Harriet previously owned.
The seance went as normal until Lucy decided to push it, wearing her turbin Lucy had a lit several candles and drew a circle in chalk. Lynn looked bored with her little sisters antics, this wasn't the first seance she had taken part in.
Lucy desperately wanted to impress her older sister with her great knowledge of the unknown.
How foolish of her. The eight year old blinked against bitter tears, she was almost certain that she was bleeding internally.
Fumbling through the Book Lucy tries to discipher the words of the book, Latin mixed with several unfamiliar wording choices. The pages were stained and aged making them incredibly brittle, some of the pages containing some disturbing illustrations.
Latching on to a key phrase Lucy uttered the closest pronunciation she could. Instantly she regretted her choice, Lucy watched disturbed as all the candles went out and Lynn's eyes darkened as the teens body contorted violently.
Lucy was frozen in her place until Lynn garbled some unknown language in an inhuman growl. Before Lucy could move Lynn jumped on her, shocked Lucy was unprepared when Lynn slammed her head into the floor as hard as she could.
Pain exploded through her skull, but Lynn wasn't done. Violently Lynn grabbed Lucy by her hair, digging her fingers into the locks. Catching eyes Lucy is horrified by the distinct lack of Lynn in the creatures eyes, it was almost like Lynn Had checked out.
The not Lynn yet again slammed Lucy head into the ground, this time even harder that before.
Teeth chattering Lucy eyes are watering as she struggles to push her sister off, panicking Lucy feels a deep animal fear. If she didn't get Lynn off soon, she was going to be seriously hurt.
Fighting against her abnormally strong sister Lucy struggles to fight off the wave of nausea that swept over her as Lynn continues to slam her head into the floor. With a rush of adrenaline Lucy knees Lynn in the groin hard, causing the not Lynn to scream.
Hopping up Lucy sprinted for the door and out to the top floor, looking back to her horror Lucy can see Lynn get up and proceed to go after her, the pre-teens face was twisted and filled with unimaginable malice.
So distracted Lucy never felt her foot touch the first step before she went sailing down, hitting each step hard as she went down...
Lucy managed to crawl off to find a hiding space despite excruciating pain she felt, her abdomen burning terriblywith each movement, that was hours ago. Lucy had plenty of time to think, among her thoughts was the realization that She didn't want to die alone, being hunted by the person she looked up to the most.
Lucy didn't want the sweet release of death, there was nothing sweet about the pain and the fear...
trembling Lucy attempted to crawl further into the ventilation. Lucy jerked when she felt a hand grasp her probably sprained ankle.Pain and fear filled her world as Lucy was wrenched from her hiding spot.
The impact of Lucy hitting the floor almost knocked her unconscious, at this point the pain was so unbearable that Lucy couldn't sink into unconsciousness, her nerves were screaming from all directions, and Lucy was now certain she was bleeding on the inside as blood bubbled up in her lungs.
Lucy didn't want to die, she wanted to live, she wanted to eat icecream on the beach, have a boyfriend and grow up with her brother and sisters.
It wasn't fair.
Lynn then caged Lucy's broken body, as the girl tried to look away from Lynn's twisted visage but something malevolent in her pitch black eyes held Lucy in place.
This thing wasn't Lynn anymore, sharp teeth pulled back as Lynn smiled gleefully just before dragging a vicious claw across Lucy's face. Whipping her head to the side Lucy chokes on her screams as liquid fire dances on her face.
The not Lynn cackles as it continues to claw at Lucy's face, the eight year olds weak struggles amusing the being. Heart pounding Lucy feels hot blood cover her face, the feeling is unimaginable.
The pain gives away to this numb feeling, Lucy is grateful to be free of the pain but feels herself panicking as she gets colder and colder. Struggling Lucy tries to push her consciousness to fight to bring air into her lungs, the calm feeling is pulling at Lucy.
Her body is failing, her lungs are filled with blood and her heart takes shuddering beats. She can feel herself forgetting, the empty feeling, Lucy forces herself to look up one last time, Lynn stares at her.
This time it's the real Lynn. The jocks face is a mask of horror and sorrow as she looks down at Lucy's brutalized body, and then finally at the blood covering her clothes and body.
The the last thing Lucy hears is the agonized sobs being wrenched from her older sister as dark laughter fills the room.
Desperately Lynn cradles Lucy's in her arms and tries to call out to her little sisters. Her attempts are for not as Lucy feels her consciousness fade, the last thought to cross the young girls mind is that In the end Lucy was grateful that she got to be held by Lynn one last time.
