Chapter 2:

While going up the winding hill, I soon learned that I could attack enemies with my thoughts instead of with a weapon, much like a psychokinetic magician, if such a thing existed! I was able to twist their bodies into pretzels, slam them into the ground with 100 times gravity, and I could even have their own weapons be their undoing before then taking them for myself! It was honestly extremely awesome, but I knew by my stat distribution that I had to be cautious, since my health was very low and my defenses weren't the best. But I remedied that by taking some of the soldiers' armor and wearing them for myself.

But then, I arrived at the fog wall before the bridge. I cautiously stepped through it and, before I could walk further, the giant drake emerged and slammed into the ground... but I, for one, had a plan. I proceeded to pelt the big beast with a mental barrage as I forced its neck to go down to its tail, force him to chew it off, and then, I snapped his neck, me immediately gaining all of the souls he had on hand as well as the impressive Drake Sword! I then tried to two-hand it, and it was pretty easy when two-handed, but not one-handed. I wasn't nearly that strong yet, so I had to up my health and strength to wield it effectively, which I then made my way to the next bonfire after collecting some items from the soldiers that I'd killed and, once I got there, I then proceeded to light it and then use a bit of humanity to kindle it further. Once I'd done so, I then used my souls to gain some levels up to level... 30? I only had enough for one level?!

"Wow... I didn't realize that all of my stats were for magic... well, at least that makes me stronger," I smirked as I then decided to invest them into the health, so I had a bit more, me then getting off my ass and proceeding through the next challenge. I proceeded through the door that led further through the Undead Burg and had to defeat some more hollow soldiers with some attacks of magic before then finding my way to the tower that held the archer, me then getting rid of him before then continuing down the road to defeat the shield and spear users. And once I'd gotten past them, I then faked out the soldiers on the staircase into rolling the flaming barrel before then skewering them with their own spears. It was awesome! I then proceeded to the door... but I heard some heavy, iron footsteps coming towards me. And it was a good thing I looked behind me when I did, because the Black Knight was about to slash me across the back! I immediately rolled out of the way and grabbed him with my magical mind and slammed his own sword into his body before then taking it. I wasn't tough or dextrous enough to use it, so I simply put it in my inventory before then sighing and moving on to the next part, where I then killed the maggot and got his titanite before then climbing the whole way up the tower to the bridge, me then going across it normally... before the big palooka slammed down onto the ground across the bridge!

Only this time, when I used my mind powers, they didn't affect him! So, in a haste, I grabbed his giant mallet with my mind and proceeded to smash him across the head with it, which got him mad as he then tried to charge me, which I flew out of the way before then slamming the drake sword into his backside, him then disintegrating into souls! I sighed in annoyance before then moving forward once more, getting to the bridge that the dragon would've killed me at, but then going downwards to see the best character in the game, Solaire the Sun Knight, me going to him and speaking.

"Hey there... what'cha doin'?" I asked, him chortling at that.

"I'm just watching the sun in the distance, young maiden... do tell, what is thy name?" he asked, me smirking at that.

"Penny Pines. And yours?" I asked.

"I am Solaire. What say that you and I work together to find our own sun?" he asked, me smirking at him as I then shook his hand firmly.

"I'd be glad to have you on board, Solaire. Just don't run off into a fight you know you can't win," I smiled at him as we then proceeded to the bridge, taking out the Undead in the process before finally making it to the other side and lighting the bonfire there, me then opening the gate while Solaire spoke.

"You are quite adept at your magic skills, young maiden. It's not too often I see a very strong mage at such a young age," he said, me smirking at that.

"Really? How long have you been in the knight business?" I asked, him chortling at that.

"I've been slaying villainy and adventuring across these lands for over 60 years. After all, even though everyone ages, we can't die unless we get killed, and only then do we turn hollow. And I have yet to be taken down to half of my strength!" Solaire spoke heartily, me smiling at that.

"Impressive. I've only just started, so I hope to one day usurp you," I smirked as we then found the fanged boar and I proceeded to use the drake sword with my brain to rush the boar from a distance and slash the sword into his thick rump, me smiling at how I'd managed to not only stab it right in his ass, but also further and out of his face!

"I guess we got some meat to cook! Can't leave such a good meal go to waste, right?" I asked, Solaire smirking as he then took care of the hollow soldiers and archers with his sword and lightning magic before then cooking the boar with his lightning powers, us then deciding to have a snack before continuing, which I was all for. I decided to eat around the steel exterior for obvious reasons and proceeded to start with the pig's leg, which tasted just like roast pork, but with a hint of barbeque.

"Hmm, pretty good. Definitely good enough for Gordon Ramsey," I smirked, that making Solaire look at me with a tilted head.

"Who is this Gordon Ramsey? What is his title?" he asked, me smiling at that.

"See, this is the part where you most likely write me off as insane. I actually don't come from this world... for some reason, the goddess of sunlight herself, Gwynevere, called me here as the Chosen Undead, and I have a letter here to prove it," I said, Solaire looking and reading it with intrigue. "And where I come from, the world is much safer, the only monsters are humans with evil hearts, and technology is improved so much, that you can flip a switch to make light appear, watch moving pictures, and even communicate long distances!" I smirked, him looking at me in confusion, but nodding all the same. "And Gordon Ramsey happens to be a world renowned chef, food critic, and even got knighted by a queen for his services in the restaurant business, turning failing businesses around into thriving eateries!" I smirked.

"A chef becoming a knight for doing good for the common man? That sounds incredible, but unbelievable. Your world must really be paradise," he said, me sighing at that.

"Well... it's more like 3/4ths paradise. A good half of the countries on my globe are rife with poverty, disease, and hunger, many countries war with each other just based on religions or nationality, and every place in the world has some form of addictive drug that is fed to the populace, whether it be a temporary high from smoking or eating something filled with white sugar, it's kind of difficult to find some good in my world if you go there blind," I said, him mulling at the thought. "Okay, I must ask, may I see your face, Sir Solaire? I kind of want to see what your face looks like whenever I explain my wild stories to see the confusion," I smirked, him then taking his helmet off and me seeing that he actually looked to be 70 years old, but with no wrinkles or age spots! He had the gray hair, sure, but everything else about him was perfectly healthy!

And his face? "Be honest, I don't look good, do I?" he asked, me smiling at him. His face had a few marks on it from previous battles, including a scar across his left cheek, a cut on his ear, and his nose had a chunk missing.

"No, no, it just shows the scars you've gotten from your grizzliest battles. I don't mean to sound dumb, but I've got scars on me for even dumber reasons, just look," I said as I then showed him my left foot by taking off my shoes, him looking at it in confusion. Why?

"You uh... only have three toes? And that's a large scar there on your ankle. What happened?" he asked, me sighing at that.

"I... ugh... I was playing outside with some of the neighborhood kids, we went to a construction site, and I tripped over a very sharp object, which sliced into my ankle and chopped off my second and fourth toes... and the other three were almost ready to fall off, too!" I frowned, him sighing at that.

"As I said, your world sounds very safe. Much safer than this one," he said.

"Yes, but here's the crazy part. According to that note from Gwynevere, my world is also linked by the First Flame, which is currently dwindling in power in Gwyn's domain, which is completely sealed off from the world. We need to get to the end while also going through that checklist and getting every item marked off. I need to meet with a specific person and gain a power that will immunize me from getting sacrificed to the First Flame when I rekindle it, heal up a very sickly woman that lies by the second Bell of Awakening, befriend a giant wolf so that I can gain the ability to go back home when the deed is done, and rescue Gwynevere from her captor, Gwyndolin of the Darkmoon, by convincing him to release her," I said, him then looking at number three.

"So I assume you've already accomplished the third item on the list, then?" he asked, me nodding at him.

"I did, but it's still not done yet. There's a singular person that could very easily kill her without remorse, who we need to eliminate. And his name is Lautrec," I said, that making Solaire gawk.

"Lautrec?! You mean Lautrec, the Knight of Fools?! He was banished by my order for being found out as a thief and a murderer of fair maidens! Are you saying he is still alive?" he asked, me nodding and deciding to try and look for his exact location with my mind... and it was a very, VERY good thing I did because I sensed he was very close, as in, he was in hiding behind a pillar! I then saw him in my mind grabbing his sword and when I saw this, I immediately flung the boar's corpse over to him, which blew his cover as he then slashed at it, me then sending the sword to him and slapping him on the back with the flat end, sending him to the ground for Solaire to see!

"I say! How did you know he'd be there?!" Solaire shouted in surprise.

"I saw him with my mind! Now, then," I smirked as I then disarmed him and then held him to the neck with his own sword. "Tell me, Lautrec, how many innocent lives have you taken before today?" I asked, him then chuckling to himself.

"Roughly 100 dames, all of them just as disgusting as you," he said, me frowning and then simply walking over to him and kicking him in the teeth, him shouting in pain as I saw I'd dislodged some of his teeth! "AUGH! You bitch!" he shouted, me frowning at him.

"And you're a son of a bitch. Which is worse? Being a bitch who just knocked your teeth out effortlessly? Or being a son of a bitch who kills people without remorse and has no love in his body? Any last words?" I asked, him then growling at me.

"Just one. Avadakadabra!" He shouted, me being surprised as I then felt a lot of magic get sent at me from above me, me then picking up Lautrec's body and using him as a shield to the magic, him being blown to bits! I then throw his skull up to the area where the magic was sent from and got the bastard in my sights, him then falling for it and shooting a blast at Lautrec's deceased cranium! I then grabbed the mage with my mind and seeing that it was one of the two lackeys he had, though I did make sure to take away his casting stick and take it for myself!

"W-Wait! I-I can explain!" he shouted, me frowning at him.

"You'd better, or your fate will be worse than your boss's," I said, him then quivering as he sung like a kettle.

"H-he wasnt' my boss! H-He fed me and Pollocks some funny food and we felt our minds leave us! It was some kind of mind controlling potion! We became his mindless slaves! And we only came to our senses when he died! I wouldn't have shot at you if I was sane of mind, honest!" he said with concern as I then heard another voice.

"He's telling the truth, miss," said another voice, me seeing that it was in the form of one of the Baldur Knights... or, at least, I thought it was. One look and I could tell it was being manipulated, a puppet of sorts. "And before ya ask, I'm kinda inside the armor, but not at the same time... I'm a necromancer, one of the strongest out there... but I'm only inside of the helmet," the voice said, me then simply lifting the helmet with my mind and seeing that the source... was a man that was only 6 inches tall, him being dressed in a dark, dank rag that covered his whole body.

"Um... this is awkward..." I admitted.

"You're telling me. I've never met a member of the land of Minus. The older they get, the smaller they become," Solaire said, me being even more confused at that.

"So... what age is he?" I asked.

"I'm actually the eldest of my kind to have ever lived, being 39 years old. And I'm still shrinking," he said, me looking at the mage next to me and him nodding.

"It's the truth," he said as I then rolled my eyes.

"Okay, just let me know this. How long has he had you under his control?" I asked, the mage speaking for me.

"He's had us controlled for nearly 10 years... and we feel ashamed for the numerous lives we took when under his control... we don't deserve forgiveness," said the mage as I simply let the mage down and I simply held my drake sword with two hands and did something different.

"I don't know if it means anything, but I'm willing to do something to you two," I said as I then sent the sword to the left and right of the duo as I looked into their minds to learn their names. "I hereby knight thee, Sir Castor, and Sir Pollocks, Knights of Redemption. Follow me and we shall bring peace to this land," I said, the duo then finally smiling at me as I then held my hand out. Castor shook my hand happily while I simply used a single finger to gently shake Pollock's hand, as he was the 6 inch tall necromancer.

"We thank thee, fair maiden... we shall follow under your tutelige wherever you go!" said Castor as I then smiled.

"Then I'd suggest that we get going. Because there's a big bell above us just waiting to get rung," I smirked, that making Pollocks speak.

"You mean that you plan to be the Chosen Undead? A very dangerous and foolish goal, but we did saw we'd follow you wherever you went... so we just dug our own death beds," Pollocks frowned.

"Please, we don't need to worry when she has foresight and can use magic the likes of which my eyes have never seen before! We will be fine!" Solaire smiled heartily as he then put on the helmet he wore with pride, us then moving forward again. We had to get on our way in order to reach the first main story boss in the game. And to get there, we'd have to deal with some tougher enemies, which I knew we could defeat effortlessly if we worked together!
