Harry looked down at the newest edition of the Daily Prophet with wide unbelieving eyes. The wizarding world had just started to get back on their feet after the fall of Voldemort, and this is what the Ministry decided to do. Marry the purebloods to halfbloods or muggleborns. Half of the purebloods were either dead or locked up in Azkaban. And thanks to Severus Snape, they now had a potion that allowed same sex couples to have a baby. He wasn't sure if he wanted to stab Snape for this or kiss him. He had been worried about being able to have kids since his preferences leaned more towards the same sex. Which he had figured out after a very awkward horrible attempt of romping with Ginny. That ended in a crying Ginny and a very amused Charlie, who had apparently heard the whole attempt through the thin walls at the Burrow. Which also led to Charlie testing out a theory he had… that also led to Ginny crying and Harry realizing he was very much interested in men.

He soon realized that staying at the Burrow was a bad idea and stayed at Grimwald Place till the start of his 8th year. Hermione was sitting on his left with her chin resting on his shoulder as she read the paper along with him. Ron, who had to lean over Hermione was having a bit of trouble reading the paper. Hermione and Harry knew when he finally had read the article they had just finished.

"Bloody hell. What is Kingsley thinking." Ron exploded. Hermione rolled her eyes and patted his arm to calm him.

"It wasn't Kingsley. This was voted in the Wizamont. Clearly most of the purebloods are worried. They still carry the majority votes." Hermione said with a huff.

"You mean the Malfoys." Ron growled as he glared over at the Slytherin table. He snickered at the look of horror on Draco Malfoy's face. "Looks like Ferret hadn't been let in the loop."

Harry sighed heavily and didn't even bother to look over at the Slytherin. This had been an ongoing argument between him and a few of the Weasleys. Mainly the parents, Ron and Ginny. He had talked on behalf of the Malfoy family during their trial. Narcissa had been the one to lie to Voldemort and allow him to finish things. Draco had always been misguided and scared for his parents' lives. And Lucius had surprised them all when he switched sides the moment Voldemort turned his wand on his family and Narcissa had been fatality wounded protecting Draco. Harry soon realized they were all victims in the war, just trying to survive. It also helped that Snape had informed him that Lucius had been his informant when he had not been summoned himself. Harry's testimony had caused the Malfoy men to go free.

"I don't really blame them." Harry said with a heavy sigh. "The amount of wizards we lost to that mad man has put a strain on us. The Purebloods taking the heaviest blow. And the both of you are already together. They mentioned that only single wizards and witches will be selected."

"Harry… that means you." Hermione whispered harshly. "This can't be a coincidence. Only a month after Ginny informed the press that you two had broken up. They could try and force you two back together."

Harry snorted. "Well they are going to get a rude awakening when they find out I'm gay."

"Charlie then." Ron said wiggling his eyebrows.

"No offense… but I've had my fill of Weasleys." Harry said with a smirk. Ron gagged and playfully pushed Harry's head away.

"I have no clue why my siblings have a thing for you. It's weird." Ron said with a groan and Harry chuckled.

"Charlie doesn't have a thing for me. He was trying to prove his theory about my sexuality. And the twins just like to piss off Ginny." Harry said with a shrug. "And Bill was also being a dick. Fluer had just asked for a divorce and I was the only one there that was not a redhead. And Fluer had always had a weird jealousy of me."

Hermione snickered. "It was because her husband was Bi and spent the war protecting the adorable green eyed savior of the world. You also weren't affected by her veela allure."

Harry shuttered at the reminder of how many times Fluer had tried to seduce him. Even after marrying Bill. "Still sticking with redheads not being my thing."

A throat cleared behind them. Harry didn't even turn to look. He already knew it was Ginny.

"I see you read the paper…" Ginny said as she took a step closer to Harry. Hermione felt Harry tense and quickly placed herself between the two. Ginny huffed. "I wasn't talking to you."

"Oh I realize that." Hermione said with a smile. "But you see, I know what brings you over here. And you aren't going to even attempt it. He is not interested in you. Move on Gin. It's not healthy to be this obsessive."

Ginny glared at the girl then rolled her eyes. "I was just going to offer myself to have his child. We can have a clause in the contract that allows us to have other partners."

Harry snorted and turned to face her. He was very aware that the entire great hall had gone silent to hear the confrontation. "Professor Snape… did you invent a potion that allows same sex couples to have children?"

Snape raised an eyebrow at the boy but decided to answer the question. He was curious on why the brat wanted to know. "Yes, it was stayed so in today's paper."

Harry then looked back at Ginny with a wicked smile on his face. "Looks like I don't need your offer after all. Honestly Ginny, I have tried to be nice about this whole thing…"

"Nice! You kissed my brother after sleeping with me!" Ginny screeched.

Harry pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. "Honestly Ginny… that wasn't… I couldn't get it up for you. You ran out crying, and your brother came in to prove I wasn't straight. You should be thankful he made me realize that. Would you have really wanted to be stuck in a sexless relationship? You are just angry I got hard for Charlie. Now stop trying to make a scene. Realize you and I were wrong for each other and stalk some one else."

Ginny gaped at him for a few moments before turning on her heals and walking away. All eyes were still on Harry.

"For merlin sake." Harry groaned. "Yes, I am gay. Go back to your breakfast, I promise I am not that interesting."

Hermione glared around the great hall before she retook her spot by Harry. Ron on the other had was watching where his sister had exited.

"Mate…"

"No Ron. I had been nice every other time she has approached me. Obviously nice wasn't working."

"So… Potter is in to men then?" Draco's voice said from behind Harry.

"Can you not be a prat today?" Harry asked as he turned to look at the other boy.

Draco shrugged. "I'm not here to judge. My father prefers men. I'm just here to warn you that with your little announcement, is going to grab a few unwanted attentions. Mainly from Blaise and Theo. But also from any other pureblood male looking to up their name in society. Be very careful of the contracts that will come your way. I'd have father or professor Snape see them first."

"Why should he…oof. Damn it Hermione watch you elbow." Ron glared at his girlfriend after she elbowed him in the ribs.

"Thank you for your warning Draco." Harry said with a genuine smile. "I will make sure to have them looked at."

Once the blonde had walked away Ron turned on his best friend. "Why would you be civil to that prat?"

Harry rolled his eyes. "Because despite how you feel about them, I have learned the real reason behind their actions. And have made peace with them. We may not be friendly on the best of days. But I am not going to let a childish rivalry dictate how we interact. This is our last year. We are legal adults now. It's time to start acting like it."

Ron's mouth dropped open in surprise. He blushed a bit and nodded feeling like he had been sufficiently scolded.

"Mr. Potter, I would like to see you in my office please." Snape said as he kept walking past the trio. Only pausing long enough to talk to the Golden boy hero. Harry rolled his eyes and got to his feet. He stumbled a bit in his hurry to follow behind his Headmaster. That was another thing that had surprised the wizarding world. Harry's adamant demand that Severus Snape stay in his post as Headmaster of the school. Demanding the man was a hero and he would never have survived his prior years without the man saving him at every turn.

"What can I do for you, Headmaster." Harry said with a cheeky smirk as he sat down in his favorite chair and kicked his feet up on the desk. Snape scowled at him and pushed the feet off his desk while also sending a mild stinging hex at the boy's legs. Harry yipped and stuck his tongue out at the man.

Snape pinched the bridge of his nose as he sat down behind his desk. "I am starting to regret mending bridges between us."

Harry smiled brightly back at him. "Lier. You secretly love my antics. I am quite adorable and all."

Snape scowled at him. "I was delirious and on very strong pain potions."

"Whatever gets you to sleep at night." Harry replied as he made himself comfortable. A house elf popped in to set a mug of hot chocolate with whipped cream, marshmallows and chocolate drizzle next to Harry's chair. And a simple earl gray by Snape. Harry couldn't help but snicker as he took his cup.

"Is there a single magical creature that is not madly in love with you?"

"Giants, acromantula, dementors… I'm on a thin line with the goblins…"

Snape raised an elegant eyebrow and silently cast a silencing spell on the boy and smirked at the annoyed huff that came from him when he realized he had been silenced. "Now that you are done rambling… I believe you had read the paper…"

The boy nodded.

"There have already been a few requests for you." Snape said feeling a bit uncomfortable with this conversation. "Most from a fair amount of eligible ladies…"

Harry glared at him. Snape smirked as he sat back with his cup of tea. "That is what I thought. I went ahead and sent denials to the idiots. There have also been a few requests from a few men. Some with some very high standings in the Ministry. Some that could cause issues if they decide to throw their money around.

The boy rolled his eyes. Snape nodded as he was on the same page. "There are three requests that I would like you too consider."

Snape slid over three marriage contracts. Harry took a sip of his hot chocolate and leaned forwards. He nearly spit out his mouth full of warm liquid, but ended up choking on it instead.

Snape snickered as he enjoyed the shock on the boy's face. "If I cancel the silencing charm, will you promise to keep a level head and not go on a tirade?"

Harry glared at him but nodded. Snape canceled the charm and Harry took a deep breath. "So this is why Draco came to talk to me."

"He did not know his father was making a contract for you and him." Snape said before Harry could get the wrong idea. "Lucius wanted you to have a decent choice from someone your age. I told him it was a horrible idea. My godson would make some one a very lovely husband… but I believe he would inevitably drive you into insanity."

Harry snorted. "Yeah that is a no. And so is this one."

Harry slid the one with Charlie's name on it with a cringe. "I have a suspicion that he has no idea that this was even made in his name. And I wouldn't be surprised if one had been made for all the single Weasleys besides Ron."

Snape raised an eyebrow and nodded as he denied both requests with magic. "I am surprised by your reaction."

Harry rolled his eyes. "Charlie was only testing his theory that I was gay. He is seeing someone already."

"And this one?" Snape asked as he slid the last contract closer to him. Harry lifted an eyebrow.

"You can not be serious." Harry said in disgust.

Snape cringed. "Unfortunately not. He is one of the sacred 28 and does not have a preference with his partners. Sadly he was also not the oldest to seek a marriage with you."

"I think I threw up a little." Harry said and Snape rolled his eyes. He took the contract back and denied it.

"Are those really my only choices?" Harry asked nervously.

Snape bit his lip and shook his head. "Because you are a halfblood, your first choices will have to be purebloods. Being the savior of the wizarding world… you can also have the choice of a halfblood. Lucius and I have had a very long discussion about this as well…"

He brought out two more contracts. "If you decide not to choose this one…"

Snape slid the contract over and allowed Harry to let the name on the contract sink in. He then slid the second contract over. Harry's eyes snapped up to him when he saw the name. "But… sir…"

Snape held up his hand to silence him. "This one is only if you refuse the first. Yes I realize what that would mean."

Harry shook his head. "I couldn't do that to you."

Snape stood and walked around the desk. He came to Harry and kneeled down by his chair, making sure he was eye level with him. "I care very deeply for you Harry. It may not be the kind of caring that a marriage contract should be built on. But if you choose this contract, I promise I will do my best to make you happy. But with this contract…"

Snape lifted the other contract and placed it down over his own. "I can promise that he would give you the world if you asked for it. If you wanted to run off and start a normal life… he would drop everything and start fresh with you. He is very family oriented and would do anything for his family. You would have everything you had been denied."

Harry wiped away a stray tear. "Love? No amount of money, or promises can give love."

Snape reached out and ran a hand over Harry's messy head of hair. "He would not have put forth a contract for himself if he did not believe love could not happen between the two of you. He also mentioned your magic being highly compatible?"

Harry blushed. "During the Department of Mysteries… we couldn't battle each other. Our magic just sort of blended."

To Harry's surprise Snape smiled. "That is a very good sign, Harry. It is very rare. Some people claimed it to be a sign of soul mates. But in reality it is just magic showing highly compatible persons how strong a bond could be possible between them."

Harry looked down at the contract. "Is that why Draco and I could never really curse each other?"

Snape looked at him in confusion. Harry just rolled his eyes. "Don't tell me you never noticed… with all the times we had butted heads in these halls. If one of us had been injured, it was because of whomever else we had with us. Not once have our spells hit the other."

Snape stood and started to pace a bit. "I am not sure if it is a sign that Draco and you were also compatible, or if magic recognized him as the child of your compatible person. But either way, I believe it would benefit you the most to take Lucius up on his offer."

Harry bit his lip then groaned. He sat back in his seat as his face turned a brilliant shade of red.

"What in Merlin could you be thinking to cause you this reaction?" Snape asked a bit concerned and a bit amused.

"It's not funny! I just bloody realized I should have known I was gay in second year when I had seen Lucius Malfoy in Diagon Alley and my first thought at the age of twelve was Merlin that man is gorgeous. Or wondering if his hair was as soft as it looked. Or why his son wasn't nearly as beautiful." Harry groaned again and hid his face behind his hands. Snape couldn't help but chuckle at his discomfort. "It is not bloody funny! I'm even sure my first wet dream was of the damn man! I woke up puking cause at the time I thought it was of Draco!"

Snape burst out into laughter and patted Harry on the top of the head. "You do not need to make a choice right now. There is a week for all contracts to be sent out. And another week for the recipient to make a choice. More offers could come forth."

Harry sighed and shook his head. "No… why deny it that much longer when we both know I made up my mind shortly after you placed his contract into my hands."

Snape smiled and nodded. "If you choose to accept this contract… all you have to do is tap your wand to the parchment and say accept. But I shall warn you… the Malfoy family magic is very strong. The moment you accept, everyone in the family bond will be able to feel that you accepted. They will know. Meaning Draco."

Harry sighed heavily then smirked wickedly as he placed his wand against the paper. "Accept."

The magic swirled around the parchment and Harry could feel a bond forming between himself and three other people. His eyes widened when he realized one of those people had been Snape.

Snape smiled down sadly at the boy and Harry glared at him. "What did the two of you do?"

Snape sighed. "I am Draco's Godfather. During raids… we found it easier to use each other. Using the excuse that watching the others play was hot for us. It… caused an accidental bond to form between us. Sadly it was Draco who noticed it first. By accepting this contract, you broke that bond between us. But I would linger till the marriage is complete and finalized. Unless you create a parental bond with Draco. Then you should feel me as his Godfather."

"You both used me." Harry said as he started to shrink away from the man.

"No… Harry no." Snape said and Harry gasped at the pain he could feel coming from the man. Snape bit his lip as he slid down to the floor and pushed whatever true feelings he had towards the boy.

"Why would you…" Harry said in complete horror.

"I am very notorious for letting go for the happiness of the ones I care for." Snape said sadly.

Harry got to his feet and glared down at the man who was now sitting on the floor in front of his desk. He picked up the contract from Snape and looked down at it.

"What happens if I accept two." Harry asked and Snape shook his head.

"Nothing. Lucius's contract has already initiated the family bond." Snape said with a sad smile.

"But you are a part of that bond." Harry said with a tilt of his head and with a shrug of his shoulders he tapped his wand to the contract. "Accept."

Ok wow….. that was by far not what I had planned for this. But as I wrote the words just seemed to have a mind of their own and I found myself liking it more. My original plan was to hook Severus up with Charlie…. But after I read through what I wrote it stuck. So here we are! I have no real plan for this story. Just writing what comes to my mind as I am writing. So I'm excited to see what comes up next! I hope you enjoy!
