The atmosphere in the throne room was tense.

"As future queen, it is your duty to uphold Corona's status with the neighboring kingdoms and maintain harmonious affiliations."

Arianna rolled her eyes. As usual, Frederic was overselling it.

"I hope you will take your responsibility seriously. The ambassador is a very influential man and a proper impression of our country is of utmost importance. You will not just represent our capital but the reputation of our entire Kingdom rests on your shoulders. Can I trust you with this?"

Rapunzel nodded solemnly. "I will not let you down. I promise."

"Good." The king cleared his throat. "He'll arrive in one week to make his report. I expect everyone to be on their best behavior."

"Of course father."

"One last thing, try to keep it traditional."

As the princess walked through the winding hallways she was barely able to contain her excitement. Up and down she bounced on her heels. She couldn't wait to tell Eugene. He'd be in for a surprise. Giddy her thoughts spun. This had to be perfect.

"You just didn't want to do it, didn't you?" The Queen looked unimpressed at her husband and crossed her arms.

"Urgh, I can't stand the prick." Frederic pulled a face and Arianna laughed. He was such a child sometimes. "And besides she'll have fun."
