"And?" Eugene eyed her warily after a couple of minutes of silence had passed. It started to get uncomfortable.
"Sunshine?"
She ignored him. Her eyes were still glued on the documents and her mouth moved in silent disbelief as she read the lines again and again.
"It can't be that bad." Eugene leaned over her tense shoulders to take a look of his own and swallowed as he skimmed over the notes.
"Oh wow, that's harsh."
Her hands clutched tighter around the paper, almost ripping it apart.
"And while the hot water system came as a nice surprise it is not enough to erase the stench of mediocrity that clings to the streets," he recited aloud. "Uninspired. Cliche. Tacky. Those are just a few words that come to mind. It stays the blandest and dreary city I've ever seen with its ruling class trying way too hard."
At this point, all color had left the princess's face and her hands trembled.
"From top to toe it is a bore. Tho there are tiny specs of hope I'd say a journey to Corona's capital isn't worth it and is ultimately a huge waste of time. I can't recommend it."
Rapunzel was fighting for words, for composure, for anything. "How is trying hard a bad thing," she muttered flabbergasted.
Eugene winced but kept quiet.
"I…" Slowly the mood shifted. "The heck! After all, we did for him. We even sang a song together! I shared my cupcakes with him!"
"Blondie wait! Where are you going?" Eugene asked when she stormed out of the room.
"Oh, this is so not over." She crushed the paper between her fingers. "I demand answers!"
