I don't own any of this Paranorman belongs to Laika, all other characters belong to their respectful companies. And The Stand belongs to Stephen King.

June 19th

"Alright Dipper it should be close by." Ford whispered.

After the welcome party four days ago, the twins had resettled themselves quite nicely in Gravity Falls: they went to the diner where Lazy Susan greeted them and gave them a stack of pancakes on the house, much to Stan's delight. They also hung out with Wendy and her friends underneath the water tower where they had a contest on who can throw the farthest and just simply hang.

There's also the season three premiere of Duck detective; they watched with Stan and Soos yesterday, overall they were having a great couple of days after their return to Gravity Falls.

Dipper thought he is having it better, since he's been exploring with Ford as they remade the journals. They filled in the creatures they already knew about such as: gnomes, ghosts, the undead, merpeople, etc. Now on this day, on this warm afternoon, Ford and Dipper were on the trail of not just one bigfoot, but a possible family group.

This excited them as they knew that one bigfoot is elusive enough due to how smart they were, but a whole family group? Now that is something not to pass by, and just to make sure that they can get close to them. Ford had sprayed a scent that he had made, that would masks their human scent.

Now in the wilderness they fallowed a fresh pair of footprints, they were being very quiet though as they can be close by to one without them knowing. They eventually reached a ridge, Ford lean down to examine the tracks that lead to it, they were very fresh.

He turns to his Nephew and whispered. "Alright Dipper, they must be up that ridge. Keep low and stay very quiet, Sasquatches may be peaceful and shy towards humans, but no doubt they'll get aggressive if we get too close."

Dipper nodded slowly. They got on all fours and slowly climbed up the ridge, they watch where they place their hands in order not to make any noise by knocking down loose dirt or rocks. When they reached the top, what they saw was purely the most amazing sight either of them had ever seen.

Down below in a clearing is a whole community of Sasquatches; their were adults, juveniles, and even babies that were in their mothers arms or playing amongst the adults. It was very similar to a neanderthal community with various nests all around the area.

Ford took out his journal and wrote on every detail he saw, Dipper was very speechless as he had never seen such a beautiful site in all his life. He watched as one juvenile which he guessed was a male go up to a water hole and drink it by picking up the water with his hands.

"This is amazing Grunkle Ford." He whispered lowly.

"It surely is Dipper. We're getting a lot of great information on bigfoot behavior."

They continued to watch the community of Sasquatches as they went about their business. A large male suddenly stopped eating some berries he had collected, he sniffed the air as he looked around nervously.

"What's going on? Do they sense us?" Dipper asked in alarm.

Ford watched closely, the male isn't looking in their direction. He is looking towards the east. "No" He began, "He's picking something else up."

Suddenly a half man, half wolfish creature raced down the ridge towards the community. Panic immediately erupted as the community scatter in all directions, which was what the wolf-like creature was hoping for.

He scanned through the running ape-like creatures, until eventually setting his eyes on a juvenile, the same one that Dipper had observed drinking from the watering hole.

The Wolf-like creature lunges towards the juvenile at full speed. He jumps with claws stretched out and mouth wide open, but just a second before he landed on the juvenile, the Wolf-like creature got hit by the side from the large male bigfoot's shoulder.

The Wolf-like creature flew sideways, where he landed on his side hard, kicking up dust. The Wolf-like creature laid there for a second, breathing heavily from the impact. He then slowly got back up to his feet, he then turned to the male bigfoot who pounded on his chest like a gorilla, while roaring aggressively.

The Wolf-like creature let out a snarl, but then slowly turned back and walked away from the community, until he was out of site.

Ford and Dipper had watched the whole thing, the whole attacked seem to have taken place in seconds. "Amazing" Ford exclaimed.

"What was that thing?" Dipper asked him.

"A dogman, normally their sighted in Michigan, but it seems like they also live here, and they hunt Sasquatches. Truly amazing."

The community have seemed to calm themselves and soon they were going back to what they were doing before the dogman attack. Ford and Dipper continued to watch them, with Ford writing on what he saw.

He then shut his journal and turned to his nephew. "Alright let's get back to the shack and analyze on what we discovered."

Dipper nodded. The two carefully went down the ridge, once at the bottom they began to make their way back towards the shack. "That dogman is definitely a interesting specimen." Ford spoke up.

"It was." Dipper agreed. "I wonder how a creature like that can even exist?"

"You know how it is in this place, it's always a mystery. Too bad I couldn't study it for long." Ford said.

A growl from the left, suddenly made the two stop in their tracks. The dogman emerged from behind a tree, clearly agitated from his failed hunt, he then turned his head and looked at them.

Ford and Dipper stood their frozen as they stared back at the creature. "I think we're about to learn a lot about it." Dipper nervously said.

Back at the shack; Mabel sat at the kitchen table working hard on a new craft. She carefully glued feathers on a toilet paper roll with her tongue just slightly out of her mouth.

Soos who is busy sweeping the floors came to the kitchen doorway. He looked up from his sweeping, where he glances over to Mabel. "Hey dude, what's you doing?"

Mabel regards him with a cheery smile. "Hi Soos! Grunkle Stan asked me to make a new attraction for the Mystery tour. So I'm making the mysterious dodo bird!" Mabel leaned aside where her dodo bird is proudly displayed for Soos who gawked at it.

"That's an amazing dodo!"

"Thanks Soos, just wait till I get all the feathers on it, then it will look more bright and colorful!" Mabel exclaimed happily while visioning her final design.

"Awesome." Soos now looked around the kitchen. "Where's Dipper?"

"Oh he's out studying with Grunkle Ford." Mabel explained while placing another feather on her dodo.

Soos chuckled. "That must be fun."

"Yep" Mabel agreed. "I bet those two are having a absolute blast."

Dipper and Ford ran through the forest as fast as they could with panic up to 11. Dipper glances back in terror, the dogman it's still behind them on all fours growling and snarling as he gained on them.

"It's catching up with us!" Dipper told his Grunkle.

"Quick turn left now!" The two sharply turned, the dogman caught by complete surprise tripped and fell, but quickly got back up where he rejoined the chase.

The Pines ran faster, Dipper looked back to see where that dogman was? Doing so made him not see where he was going, he tripped on a tree root. Ford ran a few meters ahead before coming to a complete stop, then looked back at his nephew in great concern. "DIPPER!"

The dogman runs at him in full speed causing the young boy to scream. With quick thinking Dipper looked down and picked up a stick with a pointy end. Dipper swung with all his might, he then heard the creature whine out in pain.

Looking up at the looming creature, he saw that the sharp end of the stick had made a nasty scratch on the dogman's face that ran across it's right eye. The dogman slightly opened up his right eye while looking down at the boy who had injured him in animalistic rage.

Before he could do anything however, several flash explosions rang out above him.

"Get out of here!" Ford commanded, the dogman snapped at him with a loud snarl. "Go on get!" He throws another series of flashes. The dogman cringed under the flashes, he runs off back to where he came, he stopped near the treeline where he turned to face the two, specifically Dipper with a glare, then he left.

Ford rushes over to his nephew. "Are you alright Dipper?"

Dipper dusts himself off as he got back to his feet. "I'm alright. Man, that was close." Ford patted him on the back while a proud smile is shown on him. "That was a nice defensive maneuver you did there."

Dipper let out a sheepish laugh, while rubbing the back of his head. "It was more like a panic swing."

"Even so, it was a good swing." The two share a smile at each other for a brief moment. "Well, let's get back to the shack before something else comes by."

Luckily for the two, they didn't run any other danger while making their way back to the shack. Entering the shack, the two were surprised to see some sort of homemade bird on a pedestal. Dipper went up for a closer look, "What's this thing?"

Mabel popped out from behind the pedestal. "It's a dodo bird!" She happily exclaimed.

"It looks like a toilet paper roll that has colorful feathers glued to it. I'm pretty sure people aren't going to fall for this."

A couple on vacation came into the shack, the wife completely gasped upon seeing Mabel's craft. "Look honey, a dodo bird."

"Wow, this place has everything." He exclaimed as he took numerous photos of the dodo bird, Mabel meanwhile crossed her arms together as she gave her dumbfounded brother a smug smile.

"I need a drink." Is all he could say, then walked away while Ford headed to his study to look over on what he wrote for today.

Stan comes into the shop. "Welcome to the Mystery Shack, home of the weirdest mysteries in Gravity Falls. Here you'll see weird creatures and all sorts of strange phenomenon that's said to inhabit here."

The couple smiled in excitement over on what they might see. Stan held out a bag to them, "Just pay the fee, and the tour can began."

The husband happily gave him the money, just as soon as he placed the money in the bag, the husband had a tickle in his nose. He pulled out his handkerchief and sneezed into it.

"Whoa! Say it, don't spray it pal." Stan commented.

The husband blew his nose as he gave Stan an apologetic look. "Sorry, I think I'm starting to come down with a cold."

"Alright, just don't sneeze on the exhibits. Now just fallow me and prepare to be shrouded in mystery." Stan leads them towards the first exhibit, the husband sneezed again into his handkerchief, then his wife pulled out a tissue where she sneezed as well.

As Stan gave the tour and Dipper got a drink of soda. Raz and Lili were in a office looking over on some data on a computer.

The couple have grew anxious over the past few days ever since hearing about the release of Project Blue. It was out in the country, possibly infecting people right now. They were relived when the news of a known location for the guy who had escaped from the facility where Project Blue originated from, had been announced.

Unfortunately he, along with his wife and baby were dead by the time they located him. The Government Health Officials had brought the people who had direct contact with him as well as other people who had contacted with them to the diseased research facility in Stovington, Vermont. While the rest of the town had officially become quarantine with no one allowed in or out.

Currently the two were looking at the computer for any news on the people that were brought to Stonington, it was classified to the public, but when you work for the government you can get special access.

Looking through the data, they were saddened as much of the people were killed, their were only two left; one was in critical condition, but the other; who's a man named Stuart Redman wasn't even sick with it. This surprised the two greatly as how couldn't he be sick with something that can easily infect someone and on what they saw from the data, constantly mutated making any medicine useless against it.

Yet somehow this man, this one man from that whole town seemed to be immune to it. How exactly is that possible is beyond them. Whatever the reason for this man's immunity to Project Blue, the health officials were pricking him with all shorts of needles to find a cure in his blood.

"Yeesh, I feel bad for that poor guy." Raz thought of all those needles poking him. Lili read his mind and scoffed. "Forget those needles, think about him loosing all his friends."

Raz didn't think about that. Lili is right, that guy basically had no idea that almost all people he had came in with, were now dead from that deadly virus.

"I know I'm right Raz. Gosh this never should've happened in the first place!" Fire erupts around her hands. Raz held up his hands defensively, "Calm down Lili! We don't need to burn the place down." And that is a very big possibly.

"How can I calm down?!" She snapped. "Innocent people were killed from a deadly virus, that was created by our own government! There's no doubt the big heads aren't going to openly admit it, and will cover it up no matter the cost!" The fire enveloped around her hands grew bigger, the temperature within the room turned up.

Raz struggled to think on what to say next, any wrong word can have this room go up in smokes. "At least it can't do any more damage." He gulped under the nasty glare he received.

"How can you be so sure?"

Raz thought for a bit. "Well, with that quarantine they got setup at that town. There's no way it can get out."

Lili could only shake her head, "If you say so, but I doubt it." The fire envelope around her hands went out, so at least the office wasn't going to burn down.

They look back at the computer, watching as new data entries came up every five minutes.

June 20th

Coraline had fun exploring the cave the other day, it was a flat cave so there weren't any sudden random pits to fall into, but it had plenty of turns and one cavern that she had found. That cavern was great to look around in, not to mention a good chance to give Wybie a good scare by popping up from behind a large rock.

Now today Coraline is stuck inside her room bored, as it was raining outside and her mom wouldn't allow her to go out for the fear of tracking mud in the house. Coraline let out a bored groan as she made her way back to her bed, she sat right on the side and looked at her hand while thinking about what to do on such a boring day.

She guessed that she could read the book she was halfway through, it was at least something. So she went over to her bookshelf and pulled out her book.

Coraline spent the next hour reading her book, it was a good read and it did entertain her mind. When she was finished with her book, Coraline immediately got bored again. Now what can she do to pass the time?

Perhaps some time on the internet would do. Coraline goes to her desk and opened up her internet browser on her laptop, on it she saw a news article about some swine flu outbreak going on in parts of the country, mostly in the southern states.

Coraline didn't pay much attention to it, instead she went on YouTube to see if any new videos were uploaded from her favorite YouTubers. She watched several, but the ones she liked the best is from a guy who explored abandon buildings with some being haunted which doubled her interest.

One day she would like to explore a haunted house, Coraline had encountered ghosts before during her adventure in the other world, she even helped free their souls from the clutches of the Other Mother. But it would be great to see another ghost, not to mention a great adventure for someone like her.

Coraline then clicked on a video montage of fails, she laughed as these fails were very hilarious. Though as the video kept switching to the host, Coraline thought that he didn't look so hot, for he looked sweaty and he was awfully coughing a lot.

"Sorry for all this coughing and hacking. I think I'm coming down with a cold, but don't worry I'll be be better soon. Now let's check out this fail made by this daring skateboarder."

Coraline watched the video, she cringed when the skateboarder failed on doing a half pipe and landed right on his privates. "Ooh, that's gotta hurt."

"Hey Coraline!" Her mother's voice called out from downstairs.

"Yeah mom?!"

"Can you come down here for a second?"

Coraline paused the video and left her room, she walked down to the kitchen where her mom sat at the table working on her laptop. "What is it mom?"

Her mom looks up from her work, she pushes a stack of mail to her daughter. "The mailman accidentally sent us Mrs. Spink's and Forcible's mail again. Can you go give them their mail please?"

Coraline felt instant excitement over the thought of going outside, even if it was just delivering mail to the downstairs neighbors. She grabbed the mail from the table in a flash, then took off to the front hall to put on her rain gear.

"Make sure you don't track in any mud when you come back in." Her mom called out as Coraline went out the door.

Coraline walked on over to the stairs that lead to Mrs. Spink's and Forcible's home. She goes down the stairs and knocked on the door, immediately their Scottie dogs jumped and barked on the other side of the door. "Alright calm down dears." Mrs. Spink's voice called out, soon she appeared and once she saw Coraline she smiled.

Mrs. Spink opened up the door and greeted her, the Scottie dogs circled around Coraline, sniffing her legs. "Hello Caroline, nice seeing you on a such a rainy day."

Coraline smiled forcefully as she hated it when people mispronounce her name. "It's Coraline Mrs. Spink." Coraline holds out the mail. "Here, your mail was mistakenly given to us again."

Mrs. Spink took the mail from Coraline. "Thank you Caroline. Do you want to come in? I can give you another fortune reading."

"No thanks Mrs. Spink. I should really get back to my house." Mrs. Spink grabbed onto Coraline's hand. "Nonsense, I'll gladly give one to you." Mrs. Spink pulls Coraline into her home before she could even protest.

Inside her home, Spink led Coraline towards the couch. Coraline sat down, then heard a cough coming from behind a closed door. "You'll have to excuse Miriam. She has a pretty good case of the flu."

"Is she alright?" Coraline asked as a person of her age with the flu could be bad.

"Don't worry, I'm giving her the best care an Oregon woman can provide." Spink sat down across from Coraline. "Alright, now let me see your hand."

Coraline holds out her hand, Spink takes a good look at the palm, humming as she read her fortune. All of a sudden she looked fearful, as if she just read the most horrible news. "Oh dear! Seems like you gotta beware of a dark man."

Coraline raised her eyebrows in great question. "Dark man?"

Spink nodded. "An evil man with no face!" Spink suddenly looked into Coraline's eyes. "He's coming for you!" Coraline let out a gasp of surprise.

Spink continues to look into the surprised girl's eyes before suddenly going into a coughing fit that is so strong, she had to lean away from Coraline as she pounded her chest. Coraline looked to her in concern as it looked like she was in great pain from all that coughing. "Are you alright Mrs. Spink?"

Spink lets out a few more coughs, then looked at Coraline kindly. "Yes, I think I just caught Miriam's cold. I should be fine for I am a tough cookie, but you should leave as I would hate to give you this cold."

Coraline nodded in understandment. "Alright. I hope you and Mrs. Forcible feel better soon." Coraline gets up from the couch and headed for the door.

"Thank you Caroline." Mrs. Spink goes into another coughing fit, her Scottie dogs surround their owner in concern.

Exiting their apartment room, Coraline had many thoughts going through her. Mainly hoping that the two elderly women would get well soon from their sickness, and Mrs. Spink's warning about the dark man.

What did Mrs. Spink mean about a man with no face coming for her? She didn't know, but she thought about it as she made her way back to her apartment.

Up on a tree branch a black crow watched her, it tilts it's head as Coraline closed the door. The crow then looked up to Mr. Bobinsky's flat, for it could hear loud coughing coming from up there.

As Coraline went back to her room to watch the rest of her video. Norman noticed how there seemed to be a lot of people coughing and sneezing as he made his way home to be on time for dinner.

Earlier he was spending some time with Aggie at her tree. The two had talked about what they had been up to for the past few days; Aggie explained about how her and her mother were making a garden, (Norman didn't know how that was possible, but he guessed that you can do anything in the afterlife), and Norman told her about the baseball game he played.

She congratulated him on winning the game and on how she wished that she had been there to watch the game, as it sounded fun to her. After their catching up, she requested that if he could tell her a story.

He told her the classic story of Little Red Riding Hood. Afterwards they said their goodbyes, where we come to where he is now. Walking down through main street where the sounds of coughing and sneezing is heard.

Norman noticed that main street also seemed less busier than usual, which is really unusual for a Friday night. Passing by Crystal's bar he noticed that it was closed, now that it is even more strange as Crystal never closed her bar, especially on a Friday.

"Must be some kind of bug going around." Norman thought to himself. He passes by Sheriff Hooper who's on her motorbike, hacking and wheezing into her handkerchief where a lot of mucus came out of her.

"Achoo!"

"Bless you." Sandra kindly told her husband as he blew into a tissue.

The Babcock family sat around the kitchen table for dinner, though for poor Perry he wasn't eating that much since he had caught a bad cold.

"You look terrible dad." Courtney commented.

Perry sneezed again into the tissue. "I feel terrible." He said with a wheeze. "I think I'm coming down with something." Perry sneezed again, but now it turned into a coughing fit, which earned a concern stare from his family.

"Oh, my head's killing me!" He groaned, Sandra places her hand on his forehead, it was hot. "Your coming down with a fever. You should head straight to bed and rest."

Perry waved off her suggestion. "I don't need no rest." His wife gave him a firm look. "The only way to get better is for you to get some rest. I'll go get you some medicine and hot soup."

"But"

"No buts Perry. Now go upstairs and get some rest."

Perry couldn't argue with his wife, he didn't have the energy to do so. Perry gets himself up from the table and walked out of the kitchen grumbling to himself, the door to his and Sandra's room closes and all the way from there loud coughing is heard.

"Gosh, like I hope dad feels better."

"Don't worry Courtney. All he needs is a good rest for a couple days." Sandra reassured.

"You know, I like noticed that there's some bug going around." Courtney said as she recalled about seeing people, including one of her friends coughing just like her dad.

Sandra also had noticed a lot of people sneezing and coughing during her day out in town. "Yes your right Courtney, there is some kind of bug. But I wouldn't worry about it as I'm sure it will burn out, but until it does, we should all be careful by washing our hands often."

Sandra gets up from the table to get some medicine for Perry from the medicine cabinet in the bathroom. Courtney and Norman sat at the table looking at each other. "So how's grandma taking this?"

Norman shrugged. "I don't know she's not here, she's usually in the living room at this time. Though she's probably concern for dad." The sounds of more coughing and hacking was heard.

Courtney winces from the sound. "That totally sounds ugly." Norman nods in agreement.

The coughing and hacking is still heard as Norman is getting himself ready for bed. It seemed that the coughing has gotten worse, and it unsettled Norman greatly.

Passing by his parents room earlier, he had noticed his grandma hovering above his dad in concern. Norman couldn't blame her, for after all his dad is still her son.

Norman settled himself in his bed, slowly falling into an uneasy sleep with the sounds of his dad hacking away from whatever sickness he has gotten.

Norman found himself in the middle of a cornfield on a clear day. The cornstalks were taller than him and really thick. Despite this rather strange location Norman felt at peace here, the greatest peace he had ever felt in his whole life.

Norman's ears picked up the sound of someone singing, he followed the singing all the way to a old wooden, one story home that had a tree with a tire swing near the house.

On the porch in a rocking chair is a elderly woman who looked to be more older than his grandmother, playing a guitar while singing a nice song. Norman walked closer to her, until he got to the front of her porch, the woman stopped playing and singing upon seeing Norman.

The woman smiled kindly at him. "Hello Norman, it's so nice to see you."

Norman shyly waved to her, how she knew his name didn't cross his mind. Instead he was too busy thinking about who she was? As if she had read his mind, the woman leaned forward with that kind smile and answered him. "My name is Abigail Freemantle, but people around these parts just call me Mother Abigail. I'm a 108 years old and I still make my own bread."

Abigail chuckled lightly. "I've been living in Hemingford Home, Nebraska all my life."

"Nebraska" Norman repeated, he didn't know why though as this is just a dream, but nonetheless it felt important to remember that.

Abigail's gentle smile grew a bit. "You come see me Norman. You and all your friends." A small worrying frown fell upon the elderly woman's face. "You got to hurry though."

Everything suddenly went dark, lighting flashed fallowed by thunder. Norman looked around scared as his pleasant dream had suddenly turned nasty. "There's a storm coming." Mother Abigail warned him, then pointed to the cornfield. "His storm."

Behind the corn stocks, Norman gasped in fright as a figure of a man stood there. He couldn't make out his face, but saw red glowing eyes looking at him menacingly with a evil grin.

As Norman had this strange dream and as his dad coughed into the night with his ghostly mother looking over him. Sandra slept on the couch, so that her husband can have the bed all for himself.

She gave him some medicine and a drink of ginger ale. She would make a nice warm bowl of chicken soup for him tomorrow, and then let him have his rest until he would feel better.

Sandra slept on, a sneeze suddenly came out from her which woke her up.

Meanwhile on the outskirts of Blithe Hallow; two military trucks came and parked next to each other. Military troops then came out to start setting up barriers.

They have received word that the superflu has been spreading in this small Massachusetts town. They wasted no time on getting here, if they were fast enough they could keep the superflu from spreading further into Massachusetts by quarantining this town.

Some of the soldiers thought that it was useless as the superflu, formerly known as Project Blue has been spreading through out the country. None of the soldiers spoke up however, out of fear that they may get a nasty punishment for not following orders.

On other exits/entrances to town, other troops were setting up their own barriers, it took a short amount of time and when it was finished. Blithe Hallow had officially gone under quarantine.
