Lyn, the Lady of Caelin castle & Legault, a former assassin of the Black Fang now just a thief with too many regrets. Both of these people have been dealt hands no one could imagine. So when they meet at the Dragon's Gate. It would seem that fate guided them that day to meet…

C-Rank

Lyn: You there, Legault wasn't it?

Legault: Aah, if isn't the Dame of Caelin herself. And to what pleasure do I owe your attention now?

Lyn: You told me before you used to be with the Black Fang, but now just a simple thief?

Legault: Aah, yes I did mention that didn't I?

Lyn: From the way you sounded I take it you were a member before… Nergal came?

Legault: Perceptive, yeah that's right… Brandon Reed was the guy in charge… before it all went under.

Lyn: So are you saying you were nothing during your time before that?

Legault: That I was… I was your usual thief; swiping things, pickpocketing, etc, etc.

Lyn: So how exactly did he find you?

Legault: Oh my, trying to find out about me? Why aren't you adorable for doing so…

Lyn: W-what?! I had no such…

Legault: Hahah, calm down there beautiful it's called teasing. From what I hear I thought you'd get used to it. What with that green-armored one yacking to every dame he's seen.

Lyn: Hah… and yet I've met another…

Legault: I'll take that as a compliment.

B-Rank

Lyn: Legault, hold for a moment.

Legault: Aah, yet another visit from the beauty of Caelin.

Lyn: You always seem to have some snark to hand out don't you?

Legault: Haha, from the way I see it I'm probably easier to deal with then how you and the man of Ostia act around each other.

Lyn: Who, Hector? Hmph, a man like him is only a brash brute. He is no different than others callous oafs I've met.

Legault: Like me I assume?

Lyn: Hmph, you at least seem to stand your ground unlike the others.

Legault: Yet another compliment… keep them coming beautiful. And I do, oh so mean that truly.

Lyn: Beautiful? Perhaps you are just like Sain?

Legault: Well, I do see what's in front of me don't I? You are indeed quite the beauty; I need to count on both hands how many heads you've turned in this army.

Lyn: It was not my intent –

Legault: Hahaha, you are easy to rile Lady of Sacae. Tell you what, when we get the chance how about I apologize by… taking you out?

Lyn: What in a match?

Legault: Hehe, you want me to die that quick? I wasn't anything special even in the Fang. Nope, just your average thief.

Lyn: But at the gate you said…

Legault: I know what I said, but that was the old me, this is the me I've always been. Now then, about that date…

Lyn: Hah… fine then… you amuse me as well. Let's see if you're not a callous oaf as I think.

A-Rank

Legault: You know I don't know what to me more shocked at; you out here with me on this "outing" of ours or the fact you even agreed to accompany me in the first place. It's quite the mystery even I can't solve.

Lyn: Oh? Do I confuse you know?

Legault: Hmm, I've been able to gleam some things from my days with you…

Lyn: Just as I have you I believe…

Legault: Oh, do tell?

Lyn: I hear tale you were one of the original Fangs, the infamous 'Hurricane' I believe?

Legault:

Lyn: Yes, you did use to be a thief, but then Brendan Reed found you and took you in from those simple days. You found something… more with that new family of yours. Lloyd, Linus and even… Uhai.

Legault: … Hehe, didn't think you were this serious, beauty of Caelin. Yeah, you're right I was one of their best actually and damned good at it. But then that… 'man'… whatever he is came and everything changed. We all could tell.

Lyn: You all seemed to be fighting for something greater, but then even that was ripped from you.

Legault: Just like you too?

Lyn:

Legault: During our days in the Fang, we knew about the Taliver and their ilk, we killed who knows how many of them, but then we got bigger jobs. Kill a noble there, steal their wares, occasionally give back to the people… But it was all a farce.

Lyn: Did Brendan…?

Legault: No, he hated bandits just as he hated nobles all the same.

Lyn: Seems we've both gained, but lost something important in our lives…

Legault: Yeah, seems like it…

Lyn: Legault… what will you do… after this is over?

Legault: Hmm? Who knows… maybe I'll steal again, maybe I'll travel and go where the wind takes me… With the wind, there'll be somebody calling for help.

Lyn: Would you mind then… if I helped you on that journey?

Legault: But what about your birthright?

Lyn: The life of nobility is not for me… and hearing your old stories from before and about your want to travel… I want to do that again myself.

Legault: Well then little lady… I think we got ourselves a deal. Shall we shake on it?

Lyn: I think I have a better idea…

Lyn then pulled Legault into a side alley and quickly wrapped her arms around his neck as she brought her lips to his and the two kissed for sometime holding themselves in place. Legault eventually giving in and wrapping his arms around her waist pulling her in.

Eventually the two separated and fixed themselves.

Legault: So… am I no longer a callous oaf?

Lyn: We shall see where it goes.

Final Battle Conversation

Lyn: Legault… all of those were…

Legault: … There in a better place now princess. They're free now, no more pain for 'em.

Lyn: Legault…

Legault: The boss taught me to be a rebel… well this is for all of them… all the rebels I fought with.

Lyn: Then… let us both rebel… together.
