I don't own any of this Paranorman belongs to Laika, all other characters belong to their respectful companies. And The Stand belongs to Stephen King.

"I can't believe we finally made it!" Neil happily shouted.

The kids are walking down the street in glee, as after so long of traveling across the country, it felt too good to be true that they were once again part of a community, along with being amongst adults again. This was honestly the best thing that has ever happened to them this summer.

"I know Neil! I can't wait to be living in a home again! Aren't you excited Waddles?" Mabel asked, Waddles who had Cat laying on his back, looked up at her and oinked in response.

"Let's just find this Mother Abigail first, and then will find a place to live." Dipper stated.

The kids continue onwards through the streets of Boulder, as they walked they passed many living people who are either getting settled in their new homes or are talking amongst themselves. It was very, and I mean very refreshing for them to be seeing actual living people once again. As after so long of seeing nothing but corpses, it was great to know that the human race hasn't been completely wiped off the face of the Earth.

It'll take a while for them to get themselves comfortable here, but they are just too happy to even care at the moment.

Turning down the next street corner, the kids have finally found the house Mother Abigail is staying in, it wasn't hard to guess considering the amount of people and vehicles gathering around it.

From where they stood, they could see her in her rocking chair right on the porch, greeting everyone who just came into town. Around her is a group of people who the kids guessed is the group that came to her first.

The kids stood there frozen, it was truly a day to remember for they have first defeated Scarface, found a community, and now to actually be seeing the woman they been seeing in their dreams. It was very emotional for most of them, in fact some of them started to get nervous on approaching her, for what if one of them did something really embarrassing as they met her.

It was Norman who eventually got brave enough to move forward, after a few seconds Neil fallowed and then the others fallowed as well. Now getting up to the crowd, Norman slowly pushed through saying excuse me and pardon him along with his group, until at last they were standing in front of Mother Abigail who at first looked to the right at a another group, but then finally looked over to them with a warm smile. "Hello young fellows, you look like that you all been on a long journey."

Norman was about to say something, but Wybie beats him to it. "We certainly have mam. We traveled all across the country to see you."

"All by yourselves?" She asked in a bit of concern.

Wybie nodded politely. "Yes mam, we've been on quite the adventure."

"Praise God, that you managed to make it here without any adult protection. Also thank God that you all manage to find each other in the aftermath of the plague." She praised.

"Yeah, it certainly was very lucky that we made it here in one piece." Dipper exclaimed as he rubbed the back of his head, around him he could hear the other people talking in astonishment that a couple of kids have managed to travel all across the country completely on their own.

"You are very welcomed here children. You should all rest up as I'm sure your bodies are very tired after your long journey." Mother Abigail gently said.

Neil then raised his hand.

"Yes child?"

"Does this mean that we can have our own houses?"

"Of course child."

"And can my pet pig live with me?" Mabel then asked, which resulted in Mother Abigail to laugh lightly. "Of course young one. You shouldn't be separated from your friend."

Mabel clapped in excitement. "Yay! You hear that Waddles? You can have your own bed!" Waddles oinked in excitement, this made Mother Abigail laugh again. With this the kids turned to leave, though Aggie stayed behind a bit as this woman is definitely the nicest person she has ever met, not to mention that she could feel that Mother Abigail is pure good.

She to now began to turn to leave, but stopped halfway as it looked like that one of the men behind Mother Abigail, the one in overalls is looking at her. That couldn't be right, as he doesn't have the eyes that she and Norman have, so maybe he was just looking at something that just happens to be in area she's floating in.

Shaking her head, Aggie quickly goes off to catch up with Norman and the others who have walked to the other side of the street and are now standing underneath a streetlight talking to themselves. "Well looks like this is where we separate for now." Dipper exclaimed.

Neil and Mabel frown from that news, they had so much fun with each other as well as their individual groups they started out with before they merged into a big group. "That's a big bummer."

"You said it Neil, I can't believe the group is separating." Mabel glumly said.

"Hey come on guys, it's not the end of the world. As that had already happened." Dipper reassured.

"Yeah, it's not like we're not going to be seeing each other again. As judging by the size of the town, I say it's not going to be very hard for us to run into each other." Wybie added in hope to make the two feel better, however all that did was form a small smile on them.

"Well it was fun traveling with you guys while it lasted." Mabel said.

"Especially when I drove that train, which was singlehandedly the most awesome moment in my life." Neil beamed, reminiscing on wearing his conductor's hat and driving the train during a tornado, possibly the most awesome thing he ever did.

After a moment, Coraline began to step back a bit. "Well I guess, I'll be seeing you guys around then." With that Coraline went off to find a home, Wybie gives the others a wave before going off to catch up with her with Cat by his side.

The others soon gave their own goodbyes to each other, before going off in separate detections, although Raz and Lili didn't go anywhere, instead they stood where they are, watching Mother Abigail who is still happily greeting the newcomers.

"Did you feel it as well?" Raz asked Lili who nodded in reply. "She definitely has a strong psychic reading, it's like nothing I ever felt before. Heck, it's amazing how she doesn't have any psychic powers."

"This is definitely a strange psychic situation."

"At least she's good, so we don't have to worry about anything."

"True"

"We just need to remember on not saying anything about being a psychonaut or that we once worked for the government. I don't want to chased by an angry mob who has bad feelings towards their own government that caused the end of the world." Lili reminded.

"Noted. Anyway wanna find a house now?"

"Oh absolutely! Let's find one that's big enough for both of us and has enough space to make a garden." The two former psychonauts quickly go off to find a nice home just for the two of them.

"Well Mabel, what house do you think will be great for us?" The Pine twins are walking in the eastern section of town, where in this section the houses are close to the shopping district.

Mabel looked at each house they passed by with a very critical eye as when you're picking a house, it's best that you choose a good one, but what house would be perfect for them is a tough question, how's a girl to choose?

"You know Mabel." Dipper suddenly spoke up. "When we first started this summer, I thought that we were just going to have a crazy time at Gravity Falls and I would solve more mysteries with Grunkle Ford." Dipper laughed a bit. "Look at us now, we're in Boulder, looking for a house in the aftermath of an apocalypse."

"Crazy how things turned out." Mabel agreed, she then slowly looked down to her bracelet. "You think they would've been proud of us for making it this far?"

"Of course Mabel." Dipper reassured. "After all, not many kids have traveled across the country with no adult supervision."

"That's true." The twins continue to walk down the street while they still searched for their new home, Mabel in the meantime looked down at her bracelet, thinking about her two best friends: Candy and Grenda. To think that right now, the three of them could've been having a girls day out.

This made her miss them even more, why couldn't they be immune to the superflu like she and Dipper? In fact why did this deadly flu have to strike in the first place? It ruined everything and tore apart her family. The only good thing this flu did was give her some new friends, but they could never replace her deceased best friends.

Mabel now looked up to think about them some more, but all thoughts went out the window when she spotted a two story, white house. "Wow! Look at that one!"

By the time Dipper turned to look at it, Mabel is already making her way to the front door. She opens up the door and went in, where she immediately felt the warm feeling of home, beside her Waddles sniffed the wooden floor. "This place feels nice, doesn't it Waddles?"

Waddles moved forward towards the living room, where he jumped up on the couch, then after circling around on the cushions, plopped down and fell asleep.

"I taken you want this house?" Dipper question as he stood behind her in the doorway. Mabel turned to regard him with a smile while nodding eagerly. "You bet! This house feels like home."

Dipper looked around the house for his own intake. "I suppose any home will do."

"Great! Let's start decorating and then have a housewarming party!" Before Dipper could utter a word, Mabel raced right passed him to find a party story at the shopping district.

Dipper shook his head in amusement as he knew Mabel is going to go all out for this party she's already planning and while she's out, Dipper in the meantime can choose the room that he would be staying in.

"Alright, I'm all settled in this house and now I can. Oh no." Wybie stood in the garage of a brick house that's located over in the north of town.

Meanwhile Coraline had settled herself nextdoor in a blue house. She had just came out of her new home when she heard Wybie utter his oh no, curious on what the problem could be? Coraline goes next door to see what was wrong, passing by Cat who's resting up on a wooden fence.

"What's wrong?" Coraline asked as she entered the garage, Wybie looked back to her with a disappointed look in his eyes. "I forgot my bike on the truck."

"So you just need to go get it." Coraline remarked as honestly it shouldn't be too hard to do that.

"I don't know if I should." Wybie said with his eyes down.

"Why not?"

"Because Scarface might still be in the area." Wybie began to shiver as the mere thought of coming across that monster alone is a very scary thing to be thinking of. Coraline however wasn't worried about Scarface, for he must be gone by now. "I wouldn't worry about him Wybie."

"Why not?"

"He either ran off home or has died from those burns he suffered after that tanker explode."

"You know, how did that tanker explode?" That question really confused Wybie as really the tanker just exploded for no reason. It couldn't been caused by any of them as no one was near it, except for Norman and there was no way he had rigged it to explode that quickly, heck Wybie didn't even see him light a spark, so how did he do it? Wybie had to ask Norman about it later for his sanity shake. Coraline however didn't really question it, as all she cares about is that it did happen and thus saving all of them from Scarface's teeth and claws. "Who honestly cares Wybie. Point is he's gone and you can get your bike."

Wybie considered what Coraline said and felt a bit of confidence, but it didn't last long as that fear quickly retook hold of him, in result Wybie fiddles his fingers and avoided eye contact with Coraline. "I think, I'll just wait a few days and then I'll go get it."

Coraline expected this answer, so she simply shrugged, but decided to leave one word of caution that may push Wybie to do it. "Alright, but if you don't hurry your bike might get rusty if it rains." Coraline saw the panic look in Wybie's eyes seconds before she left, it made her smile a bit as she knew very well that Wybie was now going to become worried enough to get his bike. While he does that, Coraline is going to have a nice long nap in her new bedroom that's attached to a balcony.

On the south side of town; Norman and Aggie have finally found a house for them to stay in. Neil had already found a nice blue, one story house for him, just down the corner. While they went through this part of town, the two encountered many ghosts of various ages throughout the area and assuming that there are a lot more ghosts around the rest of the town.

The ghosts had been surprised by two things: one is that Aggie is with Norman, and two is that Norman could in fact see and talk to them. The ghosts honestly didn't know what to make of it, many were too surprise to even speak back, while some talked back due to being more kinder.

The two stood in front of a green, one story house. They both looked at it with a critical eye for this house could proof nicely for them, Aggie didn't really care as she really didn't need much, but Norman of course is the complete opposite. After starring at it a couple more seconds the two friends went up to the door, Norman places his hand on the knob and tried to open it, only to not have the door move, he tries a couple of more times, but the door is firmly locked.

"Aggie, can you please?"

"Of course Norman." Aggie phases through the door and after a couple seconds the door opened up. Norman with his hands closed together, slowly came in and smiled up at his friend who smiled back down at him. "Thanks"

"Your welcome." Aggie then took a good look around the living room which had the kitchen on the right and a hallway to the left. "This looks to be a lovely place to settle in."

Norman also took a good look around the home. "I agree Aggie." He can already imagine himself watching zombie movies again in front of that TV, that is of course if the people of this town could get the power back on and that he could find any zombie movies in this town.

"So your going to settle here then?" Aggie now asked.

Norman looked around the home again, he needed a place to stay and this home can suit him very nicely. "Yes, this is going to be my new home."

Aggie smiled some more. "That's great, this is a good place to stay in."

"Well I guess the only thing for us to do now, is to make ourselves comfortable." Norman exclaimed. And that's what they both did, as well as the rest of the kids who by now have settled into their new homes very nicely with Dipper's and Mabel's being the most lively, thanks to Mabel's housewarming party.

The kids are very happy, for the first time in weeks they felt relaxed and this was just their first day here in the Boulder Free Zone. Now they can just be kids again, where they'll try to forget about the horrors brought on by the superflu, it'll be hard, but they'll have to move on from it.
