I don't own any of this Paranorman belongs to Laika, all other characters belong to their respectful companies. And The Stand belongs to Stephen King.

August 7

Neil had awoken on this beautiful morning with joy, he slowly open his eyes and yawned as he thought about the wonderful cat dream he had. Neil now raised himself up, where he does a short stretch, before jumping out of bed and walked up to the window where he took a good look at the outside world with the mountains in the background. This was always an awesome sight to wake up to, just to wake up and stare out at the mountains on each morning, it was definitely a big highlight for Neil.

After a few more seconds of starring at the mountains, Neil turned back to his room which once belonged to a teenage boy by the rockstar posters on the walls, the clothes that are too big for him in the closet, and the journal that once belonged to the boy which Neil didn't read out of respect. However there is evidence that Neil has made this room his own by his clothes on the floor and some candy wrappers from the candy store.

Looking at the clothes, Neil understood that he'll soon need to wash them down by the creek like everyone else in the Boulder Free Zone, but he'll do that tomorrow as he still had a few more clean clothes he could wear. Going over to the closet, Neil picked out and then put on the clothes while thinking over some things.

It was hard to believe that he has been living in the Boulder Free Zone for weeks now and during that time he, as well as the others have settled in very nicely. They each hung out in different areas of the town or their houses, they occasionally saw each other at the park where they catch up on what they've been up to. Interesting enough it seemed like that Coraline and Wybie have seem to have gotten on close with Norman and him, while Dipper has gotten close to Norman over their love of supernatural stuff, while he and Mabel were becoming best friends. As for Raz and Lili, it seemed like that they were slowly mingling into the group and avoided talking about what they did in their past, before the superflu.

The adults meanwhile have been busy with cleaning up the town, they were clearing up the roads leading into and out of the Boulder Free Zone, they also began clearing out some of the dead who were still in their homes or around town. It also seemed like that more people were coming into town each day. Which Neil didn't mind as the more the merrier.

Anyway today; Neil is meeting up with Norman at his house. Today is also exciting as at the power station, people were working hard to get it back online and if they can managed to do it, then the power will be turned back on again. Neil is excited over that, as he could finally have the lights back on at night without candles, plus with appliances back on cooking food is going to be so much easier. Now hopefully they'll pull it off and until they do, Neil is willing to wait it out as he didn't want to rush them.

After finishing getting dressed, Neil came out of his house, upon coming on to his porch Neil takes in a big sniff of the beautiful summer air. "What a lovely day."

With a chipper in his walk, Neil made his way on over to Norman's house, where once there Neil knocked on the door which had a mini-zombie figure tapped on it. "Oh Norman, you and your zombies." Neil muttered happily to himself.

The door opens to reveal a tired Norman. "Hey Neil." Norman suddenly let out long and loud yawn.

"Norman, did you have trouble sleeping last night?" Neil asked in concern.

"You can say that." Norman yawned, in actuality Norman had one of the worst nightmares he ever had in his entire life. In the nightmare he was back in his old house back at Blithe Hallow, it had seemed like an ordinary day in his old room, but when he went out into the hallway to go downstairs, the nightmare quickly came about as the hallway expanded and is filled in with not only the dead bodies of his family, but everyone else that had died in the superflu.

If that wasn't horrifying enough, Alvin had suddenly looked at him with that pale, puffed up face and asked if he wanted to join them. Then his dead family began to move as well and asked him the same thing, while also saying that there is plenty of room for him in the afterlife. Terrified Norman ran away from them, he passes many of the dead that littered the endless hallway, then suddenly a figure stepped out from the shadows.

Norman instantly recognized the figure as the same one during his first dream of Mother Abigail. The dark man had gripped him by the front of his collar and hoisted Norman up to his level. Norman struggled in vain to get out of his grip, no matter how useless it was, the dark man got closed to his face and said. "Your going to be joining your ghost friends soon, just submit to my rule and I'll let you live." The last thing Norman saw before he woke up screaming was the man's face changing like wax.

That nightmare terrified him greatly, but he didn't want tell Neil as Norman is worried that it might concern or terrify him as well, and Norman didn't want to make his best friend feel those emotions. Letting out another yawn, Norman instead said. "You ready for today?"

"You bet I am!"

"That's good, well let's get started." Norman and Neil leave the house, he didn't have to worry about Aggie as she had gone to the afterlife to visit her mother.

The two boys have walked down three blocks when they ran into Dipper who had a book with him. "Oh, hey guys."

"Hey Dipper." Neil happily greeted with Norman giving a small wave.

"Where are you two off to?" Dipper asked.

"To the creek for a rock throwing contest." Neil happily replied.

"That sounds like fun."

"It is, would you like to join us?"

Dipper thought about it, today he had been planning to fill in his new journal, but it might be fun to hang out and participate in a rock throwing contest. "Sure."

"Great, now just fallow us and we'll be at the creek in no time." So the three boys went off towards the wilderness for their contest.

They weren't the only ones who were planning to head out in the outskirts of the Boulder Free Zone. Wybie with a backpack full of baseball bats slowly reached the town's edge.

Coraline's words have driven Wybie's worry for his bike skyrocketing, he just couldn't stand to think of his bike rusting away after a couple of rain storms, so picking up some things to defend himself in case Scarface is still around, Wybie made his way to where they first came into Boulder. Unknown to him though, he was being fallowed.

Wybie is about to head out when a voice called out to him from behind. "Hey Wybie!"

Wybie turned around to see that it was Mabel who is smiling brightly as she ran up to catch up with him. "Where you going?" She asked him.

"I'm going to get my bike." Wybie replied.

"Oh, that sounds fun! Can I come to please?"

"I don't know Mabel, it could be dangerous." He cautioned, but Mabel waved off his warning. "I faced many dangers before. I can handle anything."

Wybie shrugged. "As long as your sure." Together the two walked out of the Boulder Free Zone, they eventually passed by the burnt wreckage of the tanker where most of the grass is burned black and the ridge has burnt stains. Although the fire had by now burned out, the smell still linger, it was strong enough to make the two cover their noses until they completely passed by the area.

They continued onwards down the road, until they came to a stop when they reached the road that is blocked off by rocks from the rock slide. "Oh boy, I forgot about this." Wybie commented.

"It's no big deal, we can just climb it." With great enthusiasm, Mabel goes up to the pile of rocks and proceeded to do just that. "Are you sure that's safe?" Wybie called out.

Mabel turned back to regard him. "One hundred percent." She slips a bit, but quickly balanced herself. Mabel looked to him with a smile, while Wybie blankly starred at her.

"Easy peasy." Mabel continues to climb up to the top where once there, she turned and motion for Wybie to come on up. Reluctantly Wybie does so, he was very careful as he climbed up it, slipping occasionally on a few rocks and almost slid back all the way down if he hadn't dug his hands into the rock pile. Eventually Wybie makes it to the top of the rock pile, Mabel congratulates him by patting him on the back. "Good job Wybie."

Wybie smiled a bit. "It was a tough climb, but at least we can just slide down now."

"You got that right!" In glee Mabel jumped and slides down, while Wybie went down slowly as there is no need to twist his ankle. "You like to take things slowly, don't you?" Mabel pointed out.

"It's better to go slow, than being reckless and breaking something." The two moved on, the truck that they've used to drive all the way here is still parked from where they last left it.

"Shame how we didn't drive this into town." Mabel commented.

Wybie goes over to the back of the truck. "Well it's not like we had a choice on abandoning it." Looking in the back, Wybie smiled upon seeing his beautiful bike. "Here it is. Right where I left it." Wybie pulls out his bike and placed it on the road.

"Well now that we have your bike, I guess we should go back now."

"Yeah, but let's go around as I don't feel like hauling my bike over that rock pile." Wybie gets on his bike and started up the engine. "Can I ride with you?" Mabel asked in excitement.

"Of course, I'm not going to make you walk back while I ride around." Wybie replied. Excited Mabel quickly got on to the bike, holding on to Wybie tightly.

"Alright hang on." Wybie starts up his bike, the bike moves off to the left where they drive down a game trail that's surrounded by forest. Since they were on Wybie's bike the trees just flew by with the wind blowing into their faces. They would be back in Boulder shortly, that is until Mabel suddenly tapped his shoulder urgently. "Quick stop!"

Wybie quickly hits the breaks, the bike skidded a short distance before coming into a stop, creating a cloud of dust to stir up and fade away from the wind. Thinking that something may be wrong, Wybie faced Mabel. "What's wrong?"

"I saw something." Mabel quickly jumped off the bike and jogged back a few meters. Standing from where she stood, Mabel saw a bush with half of it's branches torn off, Mabel walked close to the bush to inspect it closely, wondering how this bush lost its branches.

Wybie blankly watched Mabel's inspection from his bike. "That's interesting Mabel, but we should get going."

Mabel didn't seem to hear him as she instead walked off in the direction where more bushes had their branches broken off.

"Mabel wait!" Fearing that she might get lost, Wybie gets off his bike and quickly fallowed after her. He catches up with her easily. "Mabel what are you doing?"

"Something has broken these branches and I want to see what did it."

"Probably just an animal. Now come on, we should get back." Wybie urged.

But Mabel continued forward, reluctantly Wybie fallowed after her. They went through the forest until it eventually ended at a cliff face that had a small cave. Looking at the cave, the two took immediate notice of not only the missing bush branches laying around at the entrance, but the more alarming animal bones inside the cave. "Um Mabel." Wybie nervously spoke up.

Equally nervous herself, Mabel spoke back. "Yes Wybie?"

"I think we're at a den."

The snap of a twig caused both of them to jump, they run on over to a large boulder where they quickly ducked behind, peeking out nervously Mabel and Wybie heard branches and sticks snapping, as well as something being dragged. Out from the forest; Scarface emerged dragging a dead bear in his mouth, Mabel and Wybie quickly ducked back in fear, so he wouldn't see them.

"Scarface" Mabel whispered.

Scarface dropped the bear near the cave's entrance, letting out a short growl he looms his drooling mouth above the bear's side. Scarface slashes the side open with long sharp claws, then began to tear in. Wybie and Mabel remained silent as they watched him eat, they couldn't risk moving or else he might see them, for the moment they were stuck and have to wait until he either goes away or goes to sleep.

Either way the two were going to be here for awhile.

A rock splashes into the creek creating a big splash, from the shore Neil gleefully clenches his fists. "Oh yeah! That was a big one."

The rock throwing contest was going well, so far the score is Dipper: 3, Norman: 4, and Neil: 2.

"Not bad Neil, but check this one out." With a throw Dipper's rock skipped three times before slashing down. "Yes, that's three points. I'm getting ahead of you Norman."

"Contest isn't over yet Dipper." Norman tosses his rock pretty far, getting two points. As Neil began his turn, Norman took notice that Dipper had pulled out his journal and wrote on it. "Hey Dipper, I know this isn't any of my business, but what are you writing?" Dipper glances up from his journal in short surprise. "Oh this, I'm just making the journal that my uncle and I were going to work on before everything went wrong. So far I put in some of the stuff that I already know such as: the gnomes, goblins, spells, and certain monsters. I also wrote about several of the new stuff I came across, such as that bigfoot family Ford and I discovered and Scarface."

"That's sounds awesome." Neil stated after throwing his rock. This generally surprised Dipper as rarely there were people who shown general interest in his hobbies or anything that has to do with the journals. "Thanks."

"Can we see?" Norman now asked.

"Sure" Dipper had no problem on sharing the information on the mysteries and monsters he had seen. Dipper enthusiastically showed the two his journal, Norman and Neil looked at the page that he was showing, which was the bigfoot family. Neil is absolute amazed by the drawings and the information that Dipper had wrote down, he never knew that bigfoot lived in a family group.

"These drawings are pretty good." Norman complimented.

"Thanks, I thought that I didn't give them enough detail."

"Are you kidding? They're really good." Neil said, he then turned the page to a gnome. "Can gnomes really form into a gigantic monster?" Dipper laughed a bit as he remembered him and Mabel being chased by the gnomes. "Oh yeah, let me tell you that was definitely a big introduction of the weirdness of Gravity Falls."

"I always thought gnomes were just happy fellows who live in gardens."

"Trust me Neil, they're completely different than those statue gnomes you see in gardens."

Norman and Neil looked through several more pages of Dipper's journal, getting more interested through each information Dipper had provided, but then they got to a page that descriptive ghosts, upon coming to the page Norman paused while Neil gave him a concern sideways glance. Dipper notices the change of expression, which worries him for did he drew something wrong? "Is everything alright?"

Norman looked up to him shyly. "Oh everything's fine, the journal is very informative and the drawings are very nice. It's just that you slightly got a few things wrong with your ghost section."

"What do you mean by that?" Dipper asked quizzitely.

"Well ghosts are mostly peaceful and act like regular people. The only times they are hostile is either because of the way they died or feel threatened or scared." Norman answered.

"And you know this how?" Dipper asked.

"Let's just say that I know a thing or two about ghosts." Norman answered. Dipper looked at him with question for what did Norman mean by that? Norman however wanted to avoid the questions, so he picked up a rock and tossed into the creek, averting his eyesight from Dipper's questioning eyes.

The power came back on sometime in the afternoon; lights turned back on, appliances came whirling back to life, TVS and computers turned on, and the hum of air conditioners could be heard through out the Free Zone. It wasn't all perfect though, as the sudden surge of electricity created an overload which resulted in several small fires. Some of the residents quickly took action and did their part to put out the fires.

One of these members were Raz and Lili, it was easy for the two psychonauts to put out the fire that sparked out from an electrical outlet in their house. After the last of the fires were finally put out, the couple dropped themselves on the green couch, in front of them the TV blared static. "Safe to say that they got the power back on." Raz exclaimed.

"Yes, that's a relief as now we don't have to rely on candles for light." Lili said, Raz uses his telekinesis to switch off the TV. "So we got a meeting tonight." He informed his girlfriend.

"Oh yeah." Lili smacked her head a bit. "I completely forgot about that. It's supposed to be about some committee the leaders of certain groups want to create."

"It's crazy that the meeting is being held by that Stu Redman guy." Raz said in amazement for that guy had escaped from Stovington and now it seemed liked that he was going to become a leader of some sort to the Free Zone. Honestly he does deserves it as Raz felt that he's a very good guy and for some reason very important.

"I'm just glad he managed to escape from that place, especially since I heard that the people there received orders to kill him." Lili shook her head over the very thought.

"So when do you think we should go?" Raz asked.

Lili wondered a bit. "Well the meeting is scheduled at eight, so we should leave at about seven thirty."

Raz nodded in agreement, he wondered how exactly the meeting is going to go, along with wondering if the others were going to attend the meeting, he assumed that they would since it's going to be a big one. Regardless Raz anticipated that the meeting is going to be something.

As Raz and Lili discussed about the meeting, Wybie and Mabel were still hiding behind the rock. Wybie peeked out and watched as Scarface tore off one last chunk of meat from the bear, letting out a satisfied growl Scarface moved away from the bear and into the cave.

"Is he gone?" Mabel whispered.

"He just went into his cave." Wybie looked in front of them, clearly still nervous. "Come on." Both of them slowly walked away, when they reached the forest they were extremely careful on not stepping on any twigs. At last they reached Wybie's bike, heavy relief came out from the two for they were now safe. Yet, just to make sure that they were, they quickly got on the bike and rode off. They didn't say anything at all, until they reached the eastern edge of town.

"Oh man! My heart is literally pumping against my chest. I can't believe we managed to get out of there alive." Mabel exclaimed.

"I know, I think we were close enough for him to sniff us." Wybie looked back from where they came in worry. "His den sure is close by."

"I wouldn't worry about that. That stinker is probably too nervous to enter the Boulder Free Zone." Wybie still looked in that direction in fear. "I hope your right Mabel. I hope your right." Without another word they rode off towards Wybie's house.

Coraline relaxed on a lawn chair, up on her balcony. She felt very relaxed on this fine summer day, it was even better with the power back on as Coraline had set up a fan next to her, that is blowing into face. This felt so good after a morning of exploring some of the wilderness around town, where she received some mosquitoes bites, it was the price of exploring in which Coraline didn't mind at all. Anyway Coraline is definitely enjoying her relaxation and definitely didn't feel like moving from her spot at all.

She suddenly heard the sound of a motor, reluctantly she got up from her comfy spot and looked down at the street where she catches sight of Wybie and Mabel on Wybie's bike, pulling into Wybie's driveway. The sight of this made a smirk appear on Coraline's face, as it looked like her caution to Wybie has worked very well, though she is surprised that Mabel is with him, she guessed that Wybie must've came across her sometime earlier.

Feeling satisfied with herself, Coraline goes back to her chair to get comfy again, she had to be all rested up in order for her to attend that big meeting the Zone is calling tonight.

Meanwhile; Norman returned home after the rock throwing contest, the winner of that contest turned out to be Dipper due to a triple rock skip. Neil had gone off to the park, while Dipper went back to his house for he had promised Mabel that he would feed Waddles at five. Today sure was a fun day and it wasn't over just yet as there is still that big meeting tonight.

Upon coming home, Norman spotted Aggie sitting on the porch step reading a book, she looks up to him and smiled. "Hi Norman, you had a nice day?"

"Yeah, had a good rock throwing contest."

Aggie set down her book beside her for she is intrigued. "Who won?"

"Dipper, anyway how was the visit with your mom?"

"It was nice, we made some butter and talked about what we've been doing."

Norman smiled as he listened to her, it sounded like she had a great time with her mother. Aggie continued to talk about on what she and her mother did for a good amount of time. "Excuse me."

Aggie stopped talking at once and looked behind Norman, while Norman himself turned around to see Tom Cullen, (one of the members of the group, who had first reach Mother Abigail), standing in front of the pathway leading up to Norman's house. "I come to remind you that the big meeting is tonight, M-O-O-N, that spells tonight."

"Thanks Mr. Cullen." Norman replied.

"Oh you can call me Tom." He happily beamed. "M-O-O-N, that spells Tom."

"Alright Tom, I'll see you at the meeting." Tom looked at him confused. "Aren't you going to bring your friend there?"

"Of course Aggie's coming-" Norman stopped himself after fully registering on what Tom had said, he along with Aggie blinked a couple of times in surprise, Tom meanwhile just smiled without a care.

"You can see her?"

"You can see me?"

Tom happily nodded. "Yes sir! I can see you quite clearly."

"But how?" Norman question.

"Yes, you shouldn't be able to see me." Aggie chimed in.

Tom looked confused. "What do you mean?"

"You don't have the eyes that me and Norman have." Aggie replied as she pointed to her eyes, this only confused Tom more. "What does eyes have to do with anything?"

"I'm a ghost." Aggie bluntly answered.

Tom then much to Norman's and Aggie's surprise began to laugh. "But you're solid and everyone knows that ghosts are see through." Tom let's out another laugh. "I'll see you tonight, M-O-O-N, that spells tonight." Tom joyful walks off, leaving behind a completely stun Norman and Aggie. They couldn't believe that he could not only see Aggie, but according to him, she was entirely solid which she clearly was not. Their minds are too stunned to even think of anything, how could it even be possible? Granted they don't know everything about their power, but yet, they were sure that it had to do something with their eyes.

They were definitely going to ask Tom about this sometime later for they couldn't just ignore this. After all, not just everyone could see Aggie, it was only when she was in her powerful state that she could be seen by average people. But before they could talk to Tom, they first had to get ready for the meeting tonight.

The town hall is filled with people, everyone in the Free Zone is here, well all except Mother Abigail who didn't show up at all, but it didn't worry any of the people as they figured that she will show up to the meeting some time later. Raz and Lili were sitting on the ninth row watching the people come in, until Raz spotted Coraline and Wybie. "Hey guys over here!" He called out to them.

The two came on over and sat down, Coraline let's out a whistle. "The place sure is packed."

"It is the first meeting of the Boulder Free Zone, only natural that basically everyone comes to see how this committee is going run this community." Lili pointed out.

Coraline nodded. "Makes sense."

Raz meanwhile had noticed that Wybie looked a bit troubled. "What's the matter Wybie? The crowd getting to you?" Wybie quickly looked up to him. "Oh, no I'm fine with crowds. It's just that me and Mabel came across something alarming today."

"Oh and what would that be?"

"Scarface is living in a cave close by the Boulder Free Zone." Coraline, Raz, and Lili were cut off guard by that statement, they looked to him in utter contempt. "You serious?" Lili asked.

"Saw it with my own eyes." Wybie confirmed.

"I suppose that's concerning." Raz commented.

"Suppose? A dangerous monster that we know has a grudge against us is living nearby. I say that's a thing we should be worried about." Coraline stated.

"I agree we should be worried, but as long as he doesn't come here and terrorize anyone, we should leave him alone for now." Raz said.

"Good by me, I don't want to deal with that thing again." Coraline exclaimed.

"There you guys are!" Mabel, Dipper, Neil, Norman, and Aggie came on over, they sat down with Dipper on the far left and Neil on the far right. "Isn't this exciting! We're actually part of a meeting." Neil excitedly exclaimed.

Coraline shrugged. "Not that exciting." Dipper suddenly shushes her. "I think it's starting.

Up on the pedestal; Stuart Redman approached the microphone, everyone immediately clapped as he did, Stu looked at everyone thinking about what to say. He bangs a hammer against the podium and leans to the microphone "This ain't on the-" Stu is cut off by the microphone making a noise, he waits until the noise stops entirely, with a little bit of a laugh he leaned forward again, but this time more carefully. "Guess we're all going to have to get used to this again."

A series of claps erupts from the crowd with some hooting, Mabel was perhaps the loudest. "You said it! Good job on getting the power back on. You and everyone else worked hard!"

Stu smiled to the crowd and spoke up. "What I started to say was, I wonder if we couldn't start by singing the national anthem." At first there is silent, but soon a woman who the kids knew as Fran got up and began to sing, everyone else fallowed quickly. The town hall is soon filled with everyone singing the anthem, it was a beautiful sight to hear everyone sing this countries anthem, it went to show that although the superflu had killed millions, it couldn't crush the spirits of the survivors who made it to this great community.

They continued to sing loud and proud, when the song is finished everyone erupted in a grand applause. The kids never felt so happy, for that entire moment they forgot all the horrors brought on by the superflu. The applause soon died down, allowing Stu to speak up again. "I'm pretty nervous up here, so I hope you can all bear with me."

"We will Stu!" Someone shouted from the crowd, laughter suddenly erupted from the crowd which stopped quickly. "I'll make this as painless as possible, so we can all get out of here and have a beer." The crowd let's out another round of applause.

"Boy, he's sure is a natural." Neil whispered to Norman.

"First off, I'd like you to meet the man who got the juice on again. Brad Kitchener, stand up and take a bow." A man with glasses rose up and waved to the cheering crowd.

"Okay, uh, next thing is this so-called Free Zone Committee." Stu now held up a open folder. "The names came from Mother Abigail herself. But uh, this is still america and uh, I guess whatever starts with her still has to end with us, that means a vote. First though, I'd like you to meet the folks you'll be voting on. I'm one of them, Stu Redman from Arnette, Texas."

Another round of applause rings through the crowd, Stu waited for it to quiet down before continuing. "Next is Nick Andros originally from Ridley, Pennsylvania and Ralph Brettner from Okly city." The crowd cheers as two men rose up to wave at them.

"There's Francis Goldsmith from Ogunquit, Maine. Stand up Franny, let me see how pretty you look."

As the crowd cheers again, Mabel pokes Dipper with her elbow. "I think they're going out."

"I'm pretty sure everyone knows that Mabel." Dipper pointed out.

"Brad Kitchener's good friend: Susan Stern from Tacoma, Washington." A woman with blond hair stood up and raised her arms to the crowd of cheering people.

"Mr. Glenn Bateman from Woodsville, New Hampshire and Larry Underwood from New York City."

Coraline gasped, not believing on what she just heard. Concern on why Coraline would suddenly gasp Wybie turned to her. "Is everything alright Coraline?"

Coraline pointed to the man with black hair. "That's the guy."

"What?" Wybie question.

"That's the guy who wrote "Baby can you dig your man?" I can't believe he's here." Coraline exclaimed in shock. "Your not going to go all fan-girl on him right?" Wybie asked with a sly smirk.

"Of course not." Coraline scoffed. "I'm not that type of person."

"Now huh, Mother Abigail put these people on the list for consideration, so uh, any of you other folks have any other ideas."

"Mr. Chairman?" A guy called out as he waved his pamphlet for the meeting. "Mr. Chairman?" Stu is silent for a bit as he looked at him, he then spoke into the microphone. "Chair recognizes Harold Lauder."

Harold stands up proudly, from where they sat the kids had a funny feeling about Harold, they have seen him around town a couple of times and each time they were around him they felt uncomfortable. It was just something about him that troubled each of them.

"I move that we accept Mother Abigail's Free Zone Committee in total, if they all serve that is?" Harold said. The crowd liked the idea and clapped in agreement, Stu meanwhile is momentarily lost for words, but he quickly collects himself. "Uh, judge, can we do that?" He asked an old judge, the judge quickly gets up from his seat proudly. "You damn right you can. And I for one think it's a damn good idea."

Stu now looked to the crowd. "Uh folks, it's been moved and seconded, that we accept the entire committee as listed on the agenda. I guess, I ought to ask if there's any body on the list who wants to step down?"

Silence is the only thing that replied. "A voice vote will do just fine." The judge informed everyone. "Those in favor of accepting the committee as it stands?"

The crowd of people all say I, clearing wanting this committee to happen. "All that oppose?" Silence once again filled the room, Stu regards this before hitting the hammer on the pedestal. "The committee is so adopted." With that the crowd let's out the biggest round of applause.

"Oh, this is great!" Neil exclaimed.

"You said it Neil, nothing can ruin this night." Mabel chimed in. Up on the pedestal a man with blond hair and glasses came up to address the dying around of applause. "There ought to be a turning off committee, having the power back on is great. But uh, you gotta realize that people didn't get up from their sick beds and turned off all their appliances before they died." Raz and Lili nodded in agreement on that, after their brush in with too many appliances being turned on, they wanted to to make sure that nothing else catches on fire.

Before anything else could be said, a cry of despair came from behind everyone. "She's gone!" A woman with Burnett hair and carrying a boy in her arms came running in. "She's gone! She's gone!" She cried.

The woman, who's name is Lucy came running to the pedestal. "Mother Abigail! She's gone!" Lucy frantically held up a piece of paper, immediately everyone gathered around to hear this sudden turn of events, all except for the group of kids who couldn't believe on what they just heard, Mother Abigail couldn't be gone, she just couldn't be! Not after the long journey they endured to see her.

"Is she really gone Norman?" Aggie worriedly asked.

"I think so Aggie." Norman answered equally worried.

"It can't be true!" Coraline exclaimed.

"Where did she go?" Mabel said.

Raz and Lili focused their psychic powers to locate her, but it was utterly useless as they just couldn't locate her. This great meeting had turned terribly sour, there wasn't no need to even continue on with the meeting after hearing such terrible news.

After much talks of concerns and worry, everyone walked out of the town hall to gather their thoughts with members of the newly formed committee going together to discuss this serious issue. The kids are completely speechless as they walked down the sidewalk, Mother Abigail is somewhere out there in the wilderness and it really concerned them as a woman her age shouldn't be out there alone.

"This is absolutely terrible! Why did she wander off like that?" Mabel cried out. Her brother absolutely had no idea, as he only thought of one thing. "I hope someone will find her before the elements get her."

Coraline let's out a little scoff. "Too bad they didn't share whatever was on that note with everyone."

"The committee just wants to review it first." Raz pointed out. "I'm sure they'll share the information with everyone else after discussing it."

"Well hopefully, you sometimes don't know with some people." Wybie remarked.

"Hey come on. Stu and the other committee members looked to be good guys." Neil said in their defense, Norman nods in agreement. "Yeah, it looks like they really care for this community."

"I'm just saying that they might hold on information, as they might find it best for the community not to know of every detail on why she suddenly decided to wander into the wilderness." Wybie explained.

"This night started out so good to, I can't believe how terrible it went." Mabel sadly said. "Well that's life sometimes. It's fine one moment, but then it sucker punches you in the face." Coraline said.

"You like to point out the negatives don't you?" Lili pointed out, Coraline shrugged. "I just see reality because trust me you never want to think that things are too good to be true."

"Why's that?" Norman asked, Coraline looked away with narrowed eyes. "Let's just say that I had an experience with things being too good to be true."

Lili wanted to question her about that, but she didn't need her psychic powers to tell her that the topic is very sensitive to Coraline, so she decided to wisely let it go. She and the others however are completely unaware that they were being watched from the shadows.

Bill had been watching the kids ever since they first arrived in Boulder, he wanted to immediately rearrange the Pine Twins faces, but held back for if he wanted to have his revenge, then he needed to wait until the perfect chance and in surprise.

So he stayed in the Mindscape in order not to be seen and had been watching Pine Tree, Shooting Star as well as their friends: spikey hair, carrot top, blue hair, masky, and the psychic couple, to see just how he could strike back. Bill eventually figured out that the best way to do that, is to have one of their most powerful friends under his control.

Bill squints his eye in glee as tonight couldn't have gone so nicely. "Well the old bat's disappearance well sure fit in nicely to my plans. Now with them in despair for her safety, I can weasel on in and get me a puppet."

Bill takes his gaze to the ghost girl who hung out with spiky hair, who Bill affectionately called lighting bolt. "She will do just nicely." Bill bursted out into a maniacal laugher that echoed through the Mindscape.
