I don't own any of this Paranorman belongs to Laika, all other characters belong to their respectful companies. And The Stand belongs to Stephen King.
November 15
Fortunately for all of them. Flagg had never showed up or in fact nothing else that would be viewed as a threat. Despite this, the kids did not let their guards down, all of them were ready to go on the defensive once the first sign of trouble appeared.
During the aftermath of the zombie invasion Bill created, many of the residents were still trying to comprehend that the dead actually rose up and attacked like some George A. Romero movie, then just disappeared into dust. Then there was that storm with the face that messed up the Free Zone that they were all now cleaning up. What was with that storm? Why did it suddenly appear, then disappear in only one night. The kids knew the truth, but they wisely decided not to say anything as although it would've been nice to take the credit of saving the Free Zone. They all came to the conclusion that they really didn't need the spotlight fixed on them.
The events of that morning after the battle with Bill is still fresh in their minds.
Coming back to the park while being completely silent and drained from the battle. The kids looked at the various piles of dust that were once rotting corpses, it was great that the zombies were gone, as now there wasn't anymore danger that could risk them or the Free Zone residents safety.
The paw of Scarface slams into a pile of dust that got kicked up into the air. Scarface let's out a loud snarl with bloodstained teeth that dripped down his chin. During all the this time, they have completely forgotten the fact that Raz and Lili rode Scarface into battle. "Oh great, it's Snoopy." Coraline quipped with little patience as after what they've been through tonight, she is no mood to face this dumb dog that had stalked them throughout the country.
Scarface stares at them with a slightly open mouth, breathing heavily as he considered what to do. He especially kept his eyes locked on Dipper, the human male that had injured him all those months again. Finally making up his mind, Scarface let's out a snarl, turned left and walked away from the kids who are all relieved that they weren't going to have another fight as they watched Scarface leave the Free Zone and probably back to his cave.
"Oh, what a relief!" Neil exclaimed as they weren't going to be in another fight.
"That sure was lucky." Wybie added as he wasn't in the mood to fight some more.
As the kids looked around the park, Norman had slipped away from the group to talk with his grandma who stood proudly in front of her army of ghosts. "Well that sure was a hoedown, wasn't it?" She said with a smirk.
Norman couldn't help but smile up at her. It has been so long since he had last seen her, it was just so great to see her again as now he has family with him. Too bad the rest of his family couldn't be here, he would give anything to hear his father grumbling about something, his mother saying something encouraging, he would even listen to Courtney gossiping over anything.
A chilly, loving hand lands on his cheek as a loving smile is plastered on his grandmother's face. "I missed you to, kiddo." If Norman couldn't go through her, they would hug each other right now.
Ever since then his grandmother had moved in with him and Aggie, while the rest of the ghosts from Blithe Hallow decided to stay here as they felt like that they all needed a new scenery after spending so many years in Blithe Hallow. Since they decided to stay the Blithe Hallow ghosts have gotten along well with the ghosts of the Free Zone.
About some time later that day; the news that Stu and Tom have returned from their journey to Las Vegas spread like wildfire. The others who were with Stu when they left the Free Zone have sadly lost their lives and apparently Las Vegas got blown up by an atomic bomb. Yeah, that was definitely a way of getting rid of Las Vegas.
Another bit of news that spread through out the Free Zone was that Franny had given birth to a baby girl. It is great news, but the news quickly turned bad as the baby had caught the superflu, looks like that deadly disease is still around and has found a new victim to infect. Tensions all rang high as the doctor worked to help Franny's baby combat the superflu, for the entirety of the human race is at stake.
Fortunately the baby's immune system had managed to fight off the deadly virus and plus giving everyone hope that the next generation will be immune to the superflu.
The kids who have all gathered in front of Coraline's house have hope that this will be the last time that they would ever hear of the superflu.
June 16
The Oregon forest is in full bloom under the warm summer sun. Birds could be heard singing; as well as some bugs and whatever creature lived in those woods as they ran through the foliage.
The sound of a vehicle soon interrupts the sound of nature, a old van passes by the forest as it drove down the road towards America's weirdest town: Gravity Falls; home of the world's most paranormal hotspot.
Over the ten years of neglect; the roads are partially covered in grass, moss, clovers, and other plants that have sprouted out through cracks. The van simply drives over this bumpy, overgrown terrain as it headed for town. Seeing a van or any type of vehicle is now such a very rare sight with many in disrepair or have gas that had turned bad, you can only see a few driving around thanks to modifications mechanical geniuses have made to them.
The van enters the town which had broken windows, old abandon buildings that have already begun to have plants growing out of them, and many animals that have taken over the town. The van doesn't stop here however, instead it turns down a dirt road that has trees covering both sides. Turning a corner the site of a very disrepair and run down shack came into view. This was the old Mystery Shack and time has not been kind with it as shown by the missing tile roof, all words for the sign had broken off and are scattered on the ground, the front porch had rotten wood, and a giant hole had appeared on the wall.
The van parks in front of the shack and after awhile nine figures stepped out to have a better look at the broken down place. These figures were once a bunch of kids who have grown up over the pass ten years. "So this is it?" Coraline asked with a bit of disgust over the site of this shack. During the years her blue hair dye had all but disappeared, replaced by her original burnett hair that she had when she was born.
"Yep, this it." Dipper replied with a smile as he never thought that he would be back in Gravity Falls again. It was a more happier feeling than that time when he saw a beard and moustache growing on his face two years ago. "It looks more run down than I last remember." Mabel exclaimed. Mabel had managed to get rid of her braces five years ago, and now she has one of the most brightest smiles than any of her friends, not to mention she still had very colorful sweaters.
Wybie who by this point is wearing glasses, studied the shack closely with his finger on his chin. "Hmm. With a some hard work, I say that we can make this shack as good as new."
"Yeah! We can make it into the new and improved Mystery Shack!" Neil happily agreed. Now Neil had experienced a big physical change during the years, he was no longer a fat boy from Blithe Hallow, instead he had become a spitting image of his late brother Mitch with all the muscles galore.
"I mean maybe we could do it." Norman put in as he looked at the striped sign. Norman had grown tall over the years, basically becoming the tallest member of his friend group, on his head Norman's hair still stood all up. Next to him; Aggie has trained her eyes on the forest, feeling a strong supernatural presence within it. Out of all them she has remained the same as ghosts don't age, though she does have experience that she has learned over the years.
"I say that the first thing we should do is fix that roof for it rains we'll at least have some coverage." Raz informed for that looked to be the most important part of the old shack to fix.
"Nah, I say that the wall is the thing we need to prioritize." Lili said. The two psychonauts have become very powerful psychics over the years of intense training. Sasha and the rest of the high ranking psychics would've been very proud of on how they mastered certain psychic tricks. Raz had also taken the liberty to upgrade his goggles to some nice robotic ones that Wybie had kindly built for him, so that he can see and analysis items, as well as give out readouts.
Lili meanwhile had changed her hairdo into a ponytail and placed black gloves that had flames painted on them, on her hands to represent her fire powers and the burning love for her boyfriend.
They have all certainly changed throughout the years, but they agreed on one thing. There were many mysteries and mysterious creatures out there to be found and some of them may be non too friendly that may want to harm people. They were going to be the ones to stop those creatures and find those mysteries that are out there.
Bill is also still out there somewhere, probably plotting to strike back against them after being defeated by them all those years ago. They needed to find out where he is and send him back to his dimension for good.
"Alright guys let's get together for our first day in Gravity Falls as the Mystery Kids." Mabel announced in happiness as this is truly a great day for them. It was just like the day they all met back at Mother Abigail's house all those years ago, when the human race had been brought on its knees. The human race is slowly recovering from the disaster that struck all those years, yet things will clearly never be the same again.
Together they all stood together in front of the Mystery Shack, ready to stand together as the Mystery Kids in this new world.
