A/N: My 325th entry. We all know that Pongo fell in love with Perdita at first sight, but I think we can all agreed that love is a bit more than just that. I thought it be nice to have them have a bit of a heart to heart.

Pongo and Perdita Truly Fall in Love
It was a beautiful summer morning at the Radcliffe home. Sitting on a couch attached to the window sill was a Dalmatian with a red collar. The Dalmatian's name was Pongo and he could hardly keep himself under control as he was waiting for a couple of visitors to show up. He and his pet Roger, a blonde-haired man in a white shirt, brown vest over it and black pants and brown shoes, were waiting for the arrival of two beautiful and lucky ladies that they had met at Regent's Park a little while ago. Perdita, a female Dalmatian with a blue collar, and Anita, a woman with light red hair, a brown spring suit and black high heels, would be coming by today. Pongo didn't have to wait for much longer as there was a light knock on the door and he barked to get Roger's attention. The man was currently in another room, but had thankfully heard the barking when he said, "All right. All right. I'm coming."
It didn't take long for Roger to come down a small flight of stairs. The man was wearing a simple white shirt and a pair of brown pants with his every day shoes on his feet. He was making sure that his shirt didn't appear wrinkly while making his way to the door. When he stood before the door, Roger looked back to Pongo. He clasped his hands and waved to the dog while the Dalmatian could only shake his head from Roger's silliness. Roger took in a deep breath and opened the door. Standing on the other side of the door was Anita and Perdita. Anita was wearing a blue blouse, a grey skirt and a pair of black high heels on her feet. Her hair was tied up in a bun on top of her head. Anita smiled and nodded to her host, "A good day to you, Mr. Radcliffe."
"And a good day to you as well, ma'am." Roger returned and nodded back. He moved to where he wasn't blocking the way and gestured for her to come inside, "Won't you please come in?"
"Why, we'd be delighted." Anita lightly laughed and she and Perdita entered the home. Pongo gave a nervous swallow and got off the couch to greet his guests. While Roger was showing Anita around, Pongo slowly approached Perdita. With a nod of his head he greeted, "Good morning, Perdita."
"And same to you as well." Perdita returned with a grin. Pongo then asked her, "So, how was the walk over?"
"It was quite a pleasant walk, actually." Perdita told him as they started to follow after their pets. Roger and Anita walked into the kitchen to where he could make her a cup of tea while the Dalmatians moved over to the couch by the window. Perdita jumped up and looked out the window. She was marveled by the view, "What a grand view of the city."
"Yes, you can see a good deal from here." Pongo said as they looked out the window. Pongo looked in a certain direction and pointed with his nose, "If you look really hard, you can see just about all of Regent's Park."
"Really?" Perdy asked before deciding to mess with him just a little. Closing one eye and being a little cheeky she asked, "Does this mean I can see where you accidentally made our people fall into the pond?"
"Oh, absolutely." Pongo nodded, not realizing that he had fallen for her trap. He started to say, "That would be-"
He stopped when he finally heard what she had said. Pongo looked to her and she lightly laughed from having caught him off guard. Pongo started to feel a little ashamed at being reminded of that and started to say, "Perdita, about what happened that day…"
"Oh, Pongo. That was in the past." Perdita said to get him to calm down a little. She gave a light shrug when she said, "In the end it all worked out didn't it."
"It did." Pongo said, even though he was still a bit troubled by it. Perdita noticed this and asked him, "What is it, Pongo?"
"I know that you said that it's in the past, but I feel as if I hadn't made it fully right yet." Pongo told her. Looking out the window he said, "When we had met at the park that day, it wasn't my intention for what happened to happen. It was just one of those bad luck kind of moments."
"That's right." Perdita nodded in agreement to this. But she was surprised when he kept going, "But the reason why I had tried to get them to stop was not only for my sake, but for Roger's as well."
"Really?" She asked in wonder. Pongo then told her, "Yes. Roger and I have been on our own for quite a while. And I felt that if I hadn't seen you and Anita that day, then we probably would still be on our own."
"Well, I must admit that when you showed up, it was so unexpected." Perdita said as she looked away from the male Dalmatian. She giggled when she added, "But I thought it adorable the way that you walked by me and my girl the first time."
That made Pongo look to her with a slight grin. Then he said, "And when I saw you walk right by our house, I honestly thought that you are the most beautiful creature on four legs."
His words made Perdita's heart swell from the nice words. But she let Pongo continue, "And while it hadn't nearly been as bad as a disaster as it was starting, I just didn't want to let a once in a lifetime chance slip us by."
"I'm actually happy that you stopped us." Perdita lightly laughed. Pongo then said, "I do apologize for making you so cross with me. I didn't fully think everything through."
"Well, like I said, it's all in the past." Perdita reassured him with a smile. She leaned forward and gave Pongo's snout a light lick and he only smiled back at her.
They suddenly heard a cry from Anita coming from another room. Both Dalmatians jumped off the couch and ran to see what all the fuss was about. They came into the kitchen to find Roger down on one knee and holding up a ring to Anita. The woman herself looked shocked, surprised and greatly happy as she allowed him to place it on her finger. When Roger stood up again, Anita jumped into his arms and happily exclaimed, "Oh, Roger! You've made me very happy!"
"I'm so glad that you're glad, my dear Anita." Roger said and embraced her. The two looked to see Pongo and Perdita standing there, looking a little worried. Anita looked to them and said, "Oh, it's just wonderful. We're going to be one big happy family."
Pongo and Perdita looked to each other with smiles as they just learned that Roger and Anita were becoming husband and wife. They sat down as their pets started to dance around. Pongo glanced to Perdita who kept her gaze on the two humans. Very carefully, he gently placed his paw over hers. The sudden contact made Perdy look down to see Pongo's paw on hers. She looked to him and a smile grew on her face. A smile grew on his as well and they leaned towards each other. Their smiles remained as their noses touched. The two Dalmatians began to wonder what else their lives would hold for them.
