Fireflight's P.O.V

I was flying with the rest of my flock when a sudden storm latterly blew me out of the sky. My wings flailed in mid-air as I continued to plummet toward the ocean. Through the panic In my mind, I spotted a small island that I could hopefully land on.

My heart pounds in my chest. My breathing is heavy. My wings are flapping quicker than a lightning bolt. But they're still gaining on me. Those stupid close-minded elders. Getting me in trouble for no reason.

My mind wild with panic, I dove into the village. I threw the small satchel in my mouth to the other side of the small shoreline, and curled into a ball, and let my wings curl at my sides, letting my speed increase as I began to fall.

My small body began to plummet downwards and the ground below was coming up fast. But my wings couldn't keep me air-born and my eyes felt heavy. I had been flying for days on end with nothing to eat and little to no sleep. So I just let myself fall, and my body hit the ground with a loud 'thud' then everything went dark as my head collided with a rock. At least I had made it to the beach and not the ocean.

I awoke sometime later to the sound of birds singing and the waves crashing against my scales. I slowly sat up and took a look at my surroundings. I stood to my feet and walked over and grabbed my small satchel, I put it over my neck and I walked around the island.

I had been walking for a while when a flash of bright red caught my eye. Walking over to investigate, my jaw dropped open in shock when I saw a young girl who looked to be about 10 or 11-years-old, who was bleeding from an obvious head wound. Beginning to panic, I took to the sky and scanned the forested aria ahead of me.

Dawnsky's P.O.V

At first I was a bit confused when Fireflight came flying back home with a small human on her back. "Dawn, this girl needs help!" Were the first words that I heard as my sister came bursting into the cave. I blinked and spun around, my light blue and orange wings spreading wide as I spun around to gaze at Fireflight with wide and worried icy blue eyes.

"Firefly? What are you doing with a human hatchling on you back?" I hissed like a cat and my eyes landed on the half-unconscious girl laying on my sister's back. She sighed and twitched her tail from side-to-side.

"I told you, she needs help!" She said with an exaggerated sigh. I chucked softly and motioned with one of my wings for my sister to lay the girl gently down on the small couch in the living room.

With a sigh, I turned away from my painting and patted over to investigate the young girl that my sister had found on the beach. "What's her name?" I asked, turning to face my sister as I spoke.

"I dunno."

I sighed again and looked back down at the girl's face. "We'll that won't help us at all." I quietly muttered under my breath.

Leyla's P.O.V

I awoke to something warm underneath of me. I groaned and with painstaking slowness, I managed to peel my eyelids open. Everything was blurry and my head felt foggy and the world was spinning. But through my blurry vision, I could faintly make out two pairs of worried bright yellow eyes. I yelped and tried to stand to my feet, but the stranger gently pushed me back down with a paw. I pouted and mumbled under my breath as I stared up into the dragon's concerned gaze.

"Woah! Easy there young one! You took a pretty hard hit to the head." A calm and motherly voice spoke to me. "You need to take it easy and rest." The fire dragon continued speaking to me after a short pause. "Do you remember your name?" The dragon asked me with a tilt of her head. I nodded my head in response.

"Yes, yes I remember my name," I replied after a few moments of silence. "My name is Leyla." I told them while staring down at my hands. "Why did you ask me that again, you're Fireflight... aren't you?" I frowned in confusion and squinted at the dragon.

"I'm Fireflight's older sister, Dawnsky," she told me with an amused smile forming on her face as she continued to watch me while I frowned and tugged on my braid.

I sighed and curled my fingers in my hair. "Why can't I remember anything?" I muttered under my breath. "And who were those dragons in my dream?"

Dawnsky blinked and stared down at me with a worried frown. "What's wrong?" She asked me with a worried expression forming on her face. "Is everything okay?"

I frowned and shook my head from side to side in frustration. "I-I can't remember anything!" I cried out, my eyes brimming with tears and my fingers tugging on my braid out of habit.
