2 Peace
Dan looked out over the Bay. Cardiff was not a city he had been to before but so far; he was enjoying his visit there. What he didn't understand was why they had landed in the Welsh capital. He rested his forearms on the rail over the edge of the bay. The blue water lapping the edge of the rocky beach lulled him into a sense of security. It was only when Yas appeared next to him that he remembered why they were there.
"Ok Yorkshire?"
"Yes." She smiled as he looked away. Yasmin Khan was a force to be reckoned with. He, like many others had made the mistake of thinking this young Asian woman was a typical damsel in distress. Then they had faced the Weeping Angels and been transported back to the 1920s. He had no idea how he would have coped without her.
"The TARDIS is going to be charging up for a while. Doctor says we may as well enjoy the break." She smiled slightly. "Can you believe the only place in all the Universe that can re-energise the TARDIS is here? Cardiff Bay?" She shook her head. "Of all the places."
"Hey." A distinctly American accent caught their attention as they turned to see Jack Harkness watching them. "Don't diss the Diff!"
"Jack." Yas smiled as she hugged the former Time Agent. "You're here."
"This city is my home now." He smiled. "Cardiff is amazing. Come on, let's get you some real coffee." He ushered them towards the Tourist Information centre as Dan hung back.
"Dan Lewis. This is Captain Jack Harkness. Torchwood 3." She watched as Dan raised an eyebrow. "He's travelled with the Doctor before."
"Oh right. Ok." Dan appraised the other man, unsure of what to make of the brash apparently American man who was ushering him towards the small office. He began to wonder if it was like the TARDIS. "Where is the Doctor? She said she had to be somewhere?"

The Doctor walked through Queen Street largely ignoring the street entertainers and buskers as she made her way through the various shoppers. The sky had clouded over, and spots of rain began to bounce off the floor around her. Narrowing her eyes, she headed towards the rear of the shopping arcade.
"Doctor."
She narrowed her eyes slightly as she saw the figure approach her. She knew she had been right to tell Yas and Dan to stay near the TARDIS, but for a brief second, she wondered if it had been for the best. The older woman glared at her.
"Hello."
"You always come back."
"The Rift is here."
"I know." The woman glared at her, hate radiating from every cell of her being. The Doctor held her gaze, determined not to look away. "There are other areas of the Universe where the Rift is thin enough to charge that infernal box you stole."
"The TARDIS is a sentient being." The Doctor snapped. "She."
"She."
"Some of us respect other life forms. The TARDIS is my friend."
The older woman shook her head. "You are a strange one."
"Rather that than psychotic."
The older woman smiled. "Now now, is that any way to talk to your mother?"

"Hi." Donna looked up as Jack ushered Yas and Dan into the Hub. "Ianto is making coffee. Rhys is out following a lead."
"Great." Jack smiled as he pulled out his mobile phone, deciding he was going to call Rhys. "The others?"
"Well."
"Donna?"
"Gwen is with Tosh. I think she is having some sort of afterlife crisis. Do ghosts get them?"
"Dunno." Jack put his phone away. "Is she ok?"
"I think she is. You know Toshiko. She doesn't tell us much."
"Ghost?" Dan glanced at Yas as the younger woman nodded.
"Yeah, Toshiko. You met her? Oh no. That was Ryan." She sighed sadly. She missed her friends so much but knew why Ryan and Graham had decided to leave the TARDIS. Graham had been right, Ryan needed someone to keep an eye on him. She made a mental note to call him now they were not only on Earth but in the UK.
"You have a thing against the dead?" Jack asked as Dan raised his hands in front of him.
"No, er no. Just never met a ghost before." He stopped, aware of how ridiculous he sounded. "I mean. I. No offence."
"He's knew to all this." Yas explained as Donna watched him closely. She answered the phone on her desk, never taking her eyes off the visitors.
"Hi, yes. OH, YOU BEAUTY!" Donna spun in her chair. "Oh, this is brilliant." She hung up the phone as Jack walked down the steps towards them.
"Donna Nobel?"
"That was Graham." She smiled. "I called him when I heard the TARDIS land. Him and Ryan are on the way here with my Grandad." She watched as Yas smiled warmly. Jack nodded. He knew how much the elderly man meant to her.
"Great." Jack clapped his hands together. "You wanna call the Doc? Get her here? I mean the last time we were all together in Cardiff she found trouble. What's the odds of her finding it again?"
