Dante was in a strange place. He found himself back on Mallet Island, but he had no idea how he'd gotten here. He stood over the form of a defeated soldier, back armor and purple lightning clinging to his flesh. From nowhere he heard Gendo's voice "It is of no consequence."
Dante snapped "Why didn't you tell me?!"
Gendo started to shift, his face melting until it was an inky abyss, but still Dante was unphased "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?!"
Gendo released a horrible high pitched screeching noise, and Dante found himself staggered

October 9th, 12:02 AM, 2015 "Nelo Angelo...!" Dante all but shouted. He found the screeching roar from Gendo had shifted into a car horn as he found the source. A blue car parked near the sidewalk where Dante was leaning against a lighpost, he must have fallen asleep... The window of the car rolled down to reveal a purple-haired woman, maybe a decade or two younger than him "Sorry! You weren't waiting here long, were you?" The woman spoke. Immediately Dante's face switched from shell-shocked to easy going "Don't worry bout, sweetheart. You're Misato, right?" He could faintly see a twitch of her eye before she continued "Yes. I'm here to take you to NERV seeing as you have no way of getting there and your van is confiscated."
Dante began walking to the passenger door, as he sat down, Misato turned to him "And Dante?" "Hm?" "Don't ever cat call me again."
Dante shrugged "Whatever you say."

12:22 AM Nero was startled suddenly from his nap on the couch in the break room when he felt a thud against his body. Instinctively he jumped up in a battle ready position, only to find the thing that hit was a crumpled up piece of paper. "Dang, kid. Chill out" He recognized that infuriating but still breezy voice, and turned towards the source at his right. It was Dante, sipping at a mug of coffee, the Sparda leaning against the counter next to him. "You're still kicking, huh, old man?" Dante smirked "What, you thought Tentacle Mcgee and his stupid tree could kill me? Not in a million years" The mood immediately lightened at that. Nero was just glad he wasn't dead, he doesn't how he could have dealt with that. He looked at the Devil Sword "They let you carry that in here?" Nero inquired "As if I'd let them take it. It's mine by right."
Nero shrugged, and walked out of the room. Deciding to go for a walk to stretch his limbs, before long he found himself in the medical unit for whatever reason. He wasn't injured, but his legs kept moving him forward without his brain really acknowledging anything. It was during Nero's best impression of a zombie that he found himself noticing a telephone on the wall to his right, most likely for patients to call loved ones. Checking his pockets, he nodded, he shouldn't take that long. He walked over and inserted a couple coins, a few rings later a woman picked up. She figured who was calling and was evidently worried "Nero? Is that you, Nero? Are you alright?" "Yeah, it's me, Kyrie. Just needed to hear your voice. How have you been?"

1:34 PM V awoke from where he was on the ground, he had a splitting headache, almost immediately he noticed Griffon hovering over him "Finally decided wake up, sleeping beauty?" "What... Happened?.. " Griffon gave his best form of a shrug "Well, you started crying saying a bunch of stuff about how you were weak and went on a killing spree, then you passed out."
V noted the Yamato in his hand rather his cane, quickly switching it back, he used to regain his balance and scan his surroundings. He appeared to be in an alleyway clearly outside The Wall, he looked to Griffon, perched on a nearby trashcan lid "See, I tried carryin' ya all the way back but then you got too heavy and I kinda dropped you."
V only made an amused noise at that "I appreciate your efforts."
"Hey, no feathers off my bones."
The gratitude Griffon basked in was a welcome change to the usual heckling from others. Such as "moron with wings", "slave Demon", or his most hated "Chicken". V managed to stumble out into the streets, nearly doubling and heaving over again before a blue car stopped right in front of him. The window slid down to reveal Captain Katsuragi, wearing her usual uniform and a pair of sunglasses "Hey, there V. Watcha doin here?" V didn't have an excuse "I was... I awoke dazed in an alleyway."
Misato seemed to raise an eyebrow at that, at least he thought so, the sunglasses were obscuring her eyes "Weird place to wake up for a hangover."
V seemed a little surprised by that "Nothing of the sort, captain."
"Yeah, sure..." There was silence after that until she spoke up "Say. I'm heading to Shinji's school to pick him up. Heading to the Geofront after, need a ride?" V wanted to politely decline. But the tremor in his feet and the pain in his back betrayed him "I would appreciate that." He noticed something "Isn't it too early for his school to finish?" Misato gave a shrug "Because of that tree thing-" "Qliphoth" V interrupted "Sure. They're letting out early, for "the safety of students". So you coming along or not?"
V walked over to the backseat, noticing Misato seemed slightly offended by that. He made a mental note to research Asian Culture as he changes his heading for the passenger side door and sat down. It was then that Griffon decided to drop in, appearing on V's shoulder and nearly getting shot in the process "Captain Katsuragi. I believe you have already met Griffon?" Misato then stashed away her pistol "If you mean met by saying he was spooked by the Commander. Yes, we're very well acquainted. But why is he, y'know, hanging out here?" Griffon scoffed "I can't stay in my pocket dimension all the time. The humidity is killing me."
"Just be sure to settle back before any of the public sees you." V added "They do not know about the Demon threat yet."

1:42 PM Shinji stood at the gates. Most of his fellow students had already left and he'd taken to doing his best impression of a wall so that he wouldn't attract the ire of that Suzuhara kid again, one punch from him was enough. He suddenly got the feeling he was being watched, he looked back, no one was there. Unbeknownst to him, Rei managed to take a different exit, her observation of The Third Child wasn't over yet. Suddenly, a familiar blue car, quite literally, slid to a halt in front of him. Misato was visible in the rolled down window, a grin on her face "Hey there, Shinji. How was your day?" Shinji then noted a strange looking man sitting the passenger seat, reading from a book "It was alright." He lied, he wanted to talk about what happened but he knew he'd already caused enough trouble for Suzuhara. "So, you gonna stand there all day or you gonna get in?" Shinji then noticed he was staring at the ground for the past few moments, muttering an apology, he hopped in the back. The man then noticed his presence and closed his book as Misato sped off. "It is a pleasure to finally meet, Shinji Ikari. My name is V."
Shinji seemed obviously confused for a second before replying "I don't remember seeing you at NERV?" V's expression dropped for a second before he regained his lopsided smile "I am a... Business associate of your father."
"My... Father?.."
V noted he seemed almost depressed at the mention, so he moved along "We made a deal so I could attend to the Qliphoth. No doubt you've seen it?" Oh, so that was what they were doing about it "I was wondering about that. Everyone was whispering things about demons and that massive "tree". How are you going to stop it?"
"I'm going to kill the Demon King." V replied without skipping a beat. "Demons are real?" V nodded "Quite so." Shinji just slumped in his seat "Why am I not surprised. First it was angels. Now demons, what next?" V chuckled "I agree. It is a terrible situation. But we know how to get through it. All that is necessary to defeat evil is that we stand up and fight."
For how long, V didn't know

1:54 PM Nero had spent most of his time that day conversing with Dante and getting him up to speed on events that happened. Specifically, NERV, The Angels, and The Qliphoth "... And that's when V went out to scout ahead and brought your old ass back with him."
Nero finished "Sounds like our boy's been busy. Hey, why isn't he here?" Nero shrugged "Dunno. The doctor lady did see him kill a bunch ugly demons but he's gone dark after that."
Dante suddenly seemed extremely interested "This doctor lady, she in charge?" It didn't escape Nero's notice that Dante seemed to become extremely tense "No, it's this Commander guy. Dark hair, orange glasses. His name was Gendo or something."
Nero wasn't even done by the time Dante hurried to the door, Sparda in hand "Hey, where are you going?" Dante didn't turn, but he did stop "Where is the Commander now?" Nero felt a ball of ice in his stomach, he's never seen Dante... Angry. Never "He has an office a ways to the north. What's wrong, Dante?" Dante turned, and Nero saw I eyes a burning hatred, but also betrayal "Let's just say I have a score to settle with him."
Nero gulped. This was going to be ugly...

2:00 PM The Commander was busy filing out some paperwork, he had just finished solving yet another trivial problem in his vast empire of technological and military advancements when he decided to look out his massive floor to ceiling windows. The Geofront was peaceful, the trees sitting calmly while the roads were empty and the grass almost glowed with its bright green color, these moments reminded him of the beauty of what he'd created, but they paled to Yui's beauty. Oh, how he missed her... But right now, nothing could ruin this moment-
He was snapped out of his reverie by his office door being not so gently caved in with a loud crash "There you are!" He looked to see the owner of the voice, and standing in his doorway was the Legendary Devil Hunter himself, Dante. Well, he was expecting him to be furious, but to a way worse degree, he mentally breathed a sigh of relief as he stood up "I've been preparing for this fight. But not here, go to the Simulation room, we'll settle this there."
Gendo then extended his arm to the side before clenching it, summoning the sword of legend, Alastor. Dante looked baffled "Who do you think you sold your weapons to, Tony Redgrave?" Dante was just about ready to put him in the ground.

2:14 PM Dante and Gendo stood 50 feet apart in the white concrete room, staring each other down as if they were trying to disentigrate one another with their sight. Suddenly, they flew towards each other at inhuman speed. Nero, Shinji, Misato, Rei and Dr. Akagi had gathered around the windows as well as a crowd, watching the battle between the two warriors. The crowd watched as two red and blue blurs clashed with each other, flying all around the arena. It seemed that they were heading towards a stalemate. Until a bright red and black explosion went off, and Dante's form was changed to his Devil Trigger. "Now this is getting interesting." The Commander said as he used Alastor true power to transform as well. After that, their battle only became even more fierce as steel clashed against steel. Eventually, after an arduous battle, they stood a dozen feet apart, their power expended as they were both panting, covered in all manners of cuts and bruises. Gendo was the first to speak "Are we done?" Dante looked up, all murderous intention had melted away "Yeah, we're good. But no more secrets, alright?" Gendo nodded 'Not any secrets that concern you at least'
He thought Suddenly, sirens blared through the facility, causing both to stand up straight and head out of the room side by side. A new alliance forged, with their powers combined, neither Angel nor Demon would stand in their way...
