Disclaimer: Much as I'd like to, I don't own Watari. I am, however, the Keeper of his Erlynmyer Flask. (

This is a vaguely realized, half-idea that came to me in a moment of complete boredom. I intend on finishing it sometime, but right now I'm at a loss. Comments and criticisms greatly appreciated.

Spring Cleaning

It rarely rains in the Meifu. When it does, it's a light, warm, summer rain, just barely enough to knock a few petals from the perpetually blooming sakura. It's always sun, sun, sun...except, you know, when it's night. Tatsumi-san complains that Tsuzuki and I never want to work; who could want to be in a stuffy meeting room all day when the weather is so lovely?! That used to be the one and only drawback to spending so much time in my beloved laboratory. I solved that by putting in lots of large windows. I got Tatsumi-san to give me a grant for it by arguing that I could work far more efficiently if I weren't constantly running outside with Tsuzuki. Also, it would be cheaper than using so much electric light. Tatsumi-san isn't hard to figure out; the way to his heart is through his wallet. And if that hadn't worked, I'd have just sent Tsuzuki after him. In tears. Today, though, I have a mission. To clean my lab!!! It's always in a state of tentatively organized chaos, but lately it's so bad that even I can't tell what I'm doing half the time. First things first: cover the windows. No distracting sunlight today! Instead, I use the big overhead lights, which are fluorescent and bright - not to mention expensive, says a little voice in my head that sounds suspiciously like Tatsumi - but they'll do. Oh. Ewww. They also nicely illuminate that layer of glowing goo on my counter..I wonder what I'll have to use to scrub that off. Maybe I should test it first and invent something to take care of it...
