Why am I lonely
You're sitting right here
Why am I talking
It's like I'm talking to the air
What am I looking for
That just isn't there
Why am I angry
How'd it get so bad
And why am I missing
What we
never really had...
Ginny walked into the great hall, and sat at the Gryffindor table. She had chosen her spot for one reason-his name was Harry Potter. He sat on the other side of the table, and just down a few seats. From her spot, she could watch him, revelling in his presence. She had always cared about him. It hurt her every time she saw him, though-she was willing to do anything for him, and yet, he just ignored her. She was just Ron's little sister. She had decided back in her first year that she would put up with the pain, just to see him. And there he was, in his usual spot, laughing with Ron and Hermione.
Why don't you love me
The way I love you
Why don't you feel things
As deep as I do
We've got a fundamental difference
In matters of emotion
But I need to feel you need me
Like a river needs an ocean
Baby why don't you love me...
Ginny really didn't understand why she was always ignored by him...it never made sense. She cared so much about him...why couldn't he think of her as more than just Rons little sister? Why he see couldn't how she felt?
Who am I kidding
It wasn't meant to be
But you wanted a believer
And I needed to believe
For every wall you built around you
I learned a brand new way to climb
And if I could've been your angel
I would've found a way to fly...
She was so desparate for Harry's attention. She had tried so hard! She had gone to EVERY quidditch match, and cheered him on. She had taken him soup when he was ill, and visited him in the hospital wing hen he was hurt. Through all of this, he had just continued to think of her as Rons little sister. If she WERE his girl friend, it would have made her the happiest girl in the world. She would do anything for him if they were a couple...who was she kidding. She would do anything for him, regardless if they were a couple or not. At that moment, Cho Chang walked by the Gryffindor table. Ginny's blood ran cold...who was Cho to toy with Harry's emotions the way she did? Ginny saw the pain that Cho caused him every time she walked by. It wasn't fair, to either Ginny or Harry. Ginny carefully watched Harry's face as he noticed Cho. It was too much for her.
I don't understand you
What's it take to make you cry
And if leaving you don't break you
Then baby what's it matter why...
It was at that moment that Ginny finally gave up. She stood up, and walked out of the great hall. She wasn't going to take this anymore. She didn't deserve any of this. She cared so much, yet it ment NOTHING to him. How could he? Holding back tears, she left, finally feeling free.
