Chapter 1 ((Mondie))
**A/N: The style of writing for this story is kinda hard to explain. See, what we do, is I write a chapter from my POV, then Kimi writes one from hers. So Chapter 1 is Mondie, then Chapter 2 is Kimi.**

"Hey, Kimi," I said one day as we were walking to Hollywood Videos to rent Mighty Ducks 2 and Robocop 2. "Don't those guys look a LOT like the newsies?"
I pointed across the street, where twenty or so boys were standing, wearing newsies' clothing, and looking confused.
Kimi and I screamed and ran across the street.
The boys saw us and screamed and ran away. "Come back!" I screamed, tackling Mush.
Spot Conlon of course was way too cool to scream and run, so Kimi handcuffed herself to him.
One by one the newsies wandered back, because Spot was the leader and none of them knew what to do without him.
"Hey, where's Jack?" Kimi asked.
"He … uh … fell off the Brooklyn Bridge," Skittery answered.
"In other words, Skittery pushed him off," Racetrack interpreted.
"Yay! I always knew I liked you for some reason!" I screamed, hugging Skitts.
"I thought you liked me," Mush pouted.
"Oh, I do!" I assured him, hugging him instead as the music for "Rooftop" played.
"Heya fellas!"
"Oh no," said Kid Blink. "Jack's back."
All of the newsies put on fake smiles and said, "Heya, Cowboy."
"Nice try, Skitts," said Swifty.
"Um … how did you guys get here?" Kimi asked, as Spot tried to break the handcuffs with his cane.
"I dunno," Snoddy answered. "We were trying to get to Long Island and we took a wrong turn."
"And you ended up in Van Wert, Ohio, in the year 2002?" I asked.
"That would explain why you goils aren't wearing skirts," Jack said. Spot was now trying to bite off the handcuffs. "Hey, I'll be handcuffed to you," Jack said to Kimi, winking rogueishly at her.
"Ew!" screamed Kimi.
"Are you trying to move in on my woman?" Spot asked, glaring at Jack.
"I thought … you didn't want handcuffs …" Jack began crying. "Don't hurt me!"
Spot picked up Jack and threw him off a cliff. He almost lost his balance, but because he was handcuffed to Kimi, he was saved. Therefore he no longer minded being handcuffed to Kimi.
"Ding-dong, the Jack is dead. Which old Jack? The stupid Jack! Ding-dong, the stupid Jack is dead!" All the newsies were singing and dancing and such.
"Not yet…" Jack said, climbing up the cliff.
"Dang it," said everyone.
