Two more weeks passed and finally the other students arrived. Lots of the guys were staring at the French girls, Ron found himself perplexed at how beautiful they were. The foreign guys also got some attention from the British girls.

The day after they arrived was Halloween but this one was slightly different. People came in and out of the Great Hall where the Goblet of Fire had been place, every student that had come from Durmstrang and Beauxbatons signed up for the tournament and submitted their names.

Jade then saw as her brother and his best friend walked inside and put their names in the Goblet, Jade looked a bit sad as she knew of the tragic events in the past.

Some Slytherins cheered as the Quidditch captain and Head boy slipped the little piece of paper into the Goblet. He acted like a celebrity. He smirked proudly and walked out soon after, missing the drama that followed.

Fred and George Weasley were the only younger students who tried to submit their names but they were thrown away by the spell done by Dumbledore and soon they grew long white beards, everyone who saw laughed at the twins as they thought against each other.

Hermione Granger warned them and Jade rolled her eyes at her, she even wanted to show her she could bypass the spell if she actually cared. Not saying that she was better than Dumbledore because she wasn't but she knew things that weren't taught in Hogwarts.

As usual, Hogwarts gave a great and huge feast for Halloween, especially now that they had guests. Ron went crazy, grabbing a bit of everything. Some things never change.

In the Slytherin table Jade was rolling her eyes as usual, when she heard Lexion talking to Viktor Krum, who was part of the national Quidditch team of Bulgaria. So it was very impressive to have him so close.

"I'm probably going to join England's team when I finish school," Lexion exclaimed proudly. "I'm the best chaser of this school."

At that Jade chuckled, which made everyone around look at her and she just shrugged innocently.

"What?" she asked when she noticed people were still staring. "I mean, yeah you are good Lex, pretty good, but don't forget who has helped you to be that good and also don't forget I can be just as good or better, I scored more than you last season."

"You got to admit she is right," Cassius whispered, not looking at Lexion.

"I was injured!" Lexion exclaimed.

"So you play too?" Viktor asked Jade.

"For a year and a half now, sort of, yeah," she told him. "I'm also a chaser but would love to be a seeker if the position wasn't taken but I'm good. I enjoy the game and I'm good at it."

"Are you also thinking of joining the national team?"

"Maybe," Jade said with a shrug. "I'm just in my fourth year so I still need to think a bit more about my future but who knows? Maybe I get to play against you one day," she added with a chuckle and a nod.

"From what you are telling, I'd rather not to," Viktor said, attempting a joke. "You both seem like you are really good."

Lexion was so upset that his little sister humilliated him, not only in front of their house mates but also in front of a famous person. Jade could sense it and she didn't care. She was usually like that, speaking before thinking and that got her in a lot of problems.

But soon everyone's attention was turned to Dumbledore and to the Goblet of Fire, which was ready to reveal who it had chosen as champions.

The flames that came from the Goblet were blue, though, they didn't burn you. Dumbledore approached the Goblet and after a few seconds the flames got bigger and turned a beautiful shade of pinkish red. Soon the Goblet sort of spit out a small piece of paper, its corners were a bit burnt.

"The champion of Durmstrang is..." Dumbledore said as he read the name on the paper. "Viktor Krum."

Everyone cheered and clapped, he stood up and walked towards Dumbledore. He instructed him to leave the room through a door that was behind the teachers' table.

Soon, the flames turned a pinkish colour again and a second piece of paper landed on Dumbledore's hand.

"The champion from Beauxbatons is... Fleur Delacour!"

A tall, slender, very attactive blonde girl stood up with a smile as her classmates cheered on her. She walked with grace and shook Dumbledore's hand as well and then she left the Great Hall through the same door.

The same process happened one more time and this time there was more suspense. Lexion Lias looked intensevily at Dumbledore. He hoped that his name was on that little piece of paper, and his sister hoped that it wasn't. Wasn't it enough to be Quidditch captain and Head Boy already?

"The Hogwarts champion... Cedric Diggory."

Jade clapped a bit as the handsome Hufflepuff smiled, he stood up and shook some hands as he walked through the corridor. All the houses clapped and cheered loudly, except some of the Slytherins. Hufflepuff of course, was the loudest.

"Excellent!" Dumbledore exclaimed as Cedric Diggory walked towards the door to leave as well. "We now have our three champions... but in the end only one will go down in history, only one will hoist this chalice of champions, this vessel of victory... The Triwizard cup!"

Barty Crouch lifted a piece of fabric and revealed a beautiful cup, the students cheered. Jade narrowed her eyes as her head of house, Professor Snape, took a few steps forward and looked confused. Only him had noticed something.

She turned to where he was looking, the Goblet of Fire, and saw the flames had gotten bigger. Soon, everyone turned to look too with wonder. As Dumbledore walked towards it again, the flames turned that pink/red shade again and a fourth piece of paper came out of the Goblet. Dumbledore looked astonished as he read the name.

"Who do you think it is?" she asked Draco.

"Not your brother," he whispered with a chuckle. The older Lias was almost sunking at losing against a Hufflepuff.

"I think it could be..."

"Harry Potter!"

The Great Hall went absolutely silent. Only Dumbledore could be heard, repeating his name. Jade and every student turned to look at where Potter was, who was almost trying to hide but Granger pushed him forward so he could go.

Dumbledore didn't look happy at all and this time no one cheered not even the Gryffindors. As Potter started to walk towards that door, people started to call him a cheat. He was fourteen and also a Hogwarts student, why would he be chosen?

"Ha, didn't see that coming," Jade said to Draco. "But it's Potter, I guess we should expect as much."

"What a cheat! And he claims he doesn't want fame," Draco sneered.

Snape looked paler than normal, McGonagall looked very concerned and was the only one actually showing Harrry some support. As soon as Potter walked out, some teachers and Barty Crouch almost ran after him.

All the students could hear people yelling on the other room but almost nothing could be understood.

"Well, this is awkward," Jade commented, earning a little bit of attention. "What are we supposed to do now?"

No one dared to move until McGonagall came out and instructed everyone to go back to their houses. It wasn't until the next day that it was announced that Potter was chosen by the Goblet and therefore they had to keep Harry in the tournament.

"I told you a big secret," Jade said days later to Ron. Maybe three or four days after the champions were chosen. "I think it's only fair if you tell me how Potter managed to get into the tournament... did the Mudblood help him?"

"First of all, don't call her that," Ron said angrily. "And good luck with finding out... He won't even tell me. I'm supposed to be his best friend for Merlin's sake."

"So you don't know?" Jade asked astonished. "Or you just don't want to tell me? I don't mind if you don't."

"He won't tell me," Ron repeated. "Why don't you ask him yourself?"

"Yeah, that would go really smoothly," Jade said sarcastically. "Since we are best friends and all."

"Ja... Lias. I'm really not in the mood to deal with your sarcasm and you in general today, so leave me alone."

"Geez, someone's in a bad mood," Jade said rolling her eyes. "And here I was thinking we were becoming friends."

Jade noticed that Ron had stopped hanging around Potter and she even saw them arguing one day, it seemed like Potter wasn't telling anyone how he did it. Not even Ron. She actually noticed too that Potter was alone most of the time. It was like everyone had turned their backs on him.

Hello everyone! How's everyone doing?
This quarantine is really kicking my ass, I'm going a little mad here. Any advice? I've been exercising, doing my therapy for my knees and playing ping-pong but I really feel like all of this is affecting me. Like getting depressed at times.

Anyway, do you like the story so far? Please let me know! :)
