It was during Care of Magical Creatures at the end of January when Jade heard someone speaking something about her. She concentrated enough and sort of shut out the other people.

"She can't be trusted... maybe if we make her fake galleon stop working, she won't turn to the meetings anymore."

Very subtly, Jade stood next to Ron, who just looked surprised when he noticed she was next to him now. She leant in so she could talk to Granger. Ron, who was in the middle of the two girls just seemed to feel very awkward.

"Here," she said with her fake galleon in her hand. "You don't want me going anymore, fine. I don't care. So have it. No need to be sneaky about it."

"Jade, what are you talking about?"

Ron was confused but Granger was blushing and looking very uncomfortable. Ron noticed and just stared at Granger, not knowing what was going on.

"Take it, go on!"

Granger was about to take it when Ron pushed her hand away and then put his hand over Jade's to close her hand.

"Are you crazy? Put it back in your pocket, no one is kicking you out. We want you in the meetings!"

"She doesn't..." Jade told him. "I don't want more problems, I don't want to end up in a coma again so I rather..."

"Stop it, okay? People want you there. Neville has improved a lot with your tips. And Zacharias needs to be put in his place every once in a while. Besides, who will be my partner if you stop going?" Ron told her. "And at least you don't have to worry about me, I won't ever do something as stupid as what I did. I still feel bad about what happened to you."

Jade was too proud, so she was going to give the coin to Ron and say she wasn't going to be at a place where she wasn't wanted, but then she saw Granger's expression and she knew she had to stay, just to annoy her. Ron was happy and smiled when Jade nodded at him and put the coin back in her pocket, Granger was the complete opposite of him, Jade smirked at her, which made her angrier.

"Hey, Jade, what's up? Why do you think we don't want you in the group anymore?" Ron said in a low tone to not be heard, their class had just finished.

"I heard her!"

"Who?"

"The... Eh, Granger. She said I can't be trusted."

"She didn't."

"I heard her Ron!" Jade exclaimed, slightly louder than before, losing her temper.

"Okay... why would she say that?"

"Because of the Death Eaters that escaped," she said with a shrug.

"That has nothing to do with you! She might know about your parents because Harry told us, but she knows since last year! Nothing's changed."

But it had changed.

"Alright, anyway, I need to go to class. But Ron, if you really don't want me going, just tell me."

Things weren't improving as she kept hearing from people and reading on the Daily Prophet that there had been sightings of the ten Death Eaters that escaped.

"Bellatrix Lestrange was last seen by Wiltshire."

Jade looked at the fourth-year Ravenclaw and just kept listening to their conversation. Someone else mentioned the same thing and Jade wasn't happy about it.

She didn't care much that they did mention the place, as not many people knew where in England she lived. Ron and Potter did, but they already knew that her parents were on Voldemort's side. But there was something about that information that did made her anxious.

"What if they are in my house?" Jade asked Draco.

"Are you sure they said Wiltshire?" Jade nodded. "Well, she's my mother's sister, isn't she? It's more probable that she is in my house than yours, right?"

"Not really, that would be the first place where they would look for her. My house is close enough to yours and after maybe some questions from the Aurors they wouldn't bother my family again," Jade said. "Or... I don't know, maybe they would. You know that they..."

"Doesn't mean anything," Draco said quickly. "Don't think too much about it. It doesn't matter where they are or what people say."

But Jade couldn't just stop thinking about it. There was something she knew that she hadn't told anyone yet, including Draco. And the reason why was that she still wasn't ready to accept it and to be honest she wasn't sure how she knew, but she did. She just didn't want to be dismissed or not taken seriously for not really understanding how she knew that information.

January passed too quickly, and every day their O.W.L.s examinations were getting closer and closer and they were having more and more homework. At times Jade thought that only twenty-four hours in each day weren't enough to finish all the assignments they had gotten lately.

That Valentine's day wasn's as special as the previous one. Jade had too much in her mind that she couldn't relax, and the lake wasn't frozen so they couldn't skate. Draco offered to freeze it but Jade refused.

"Why are you in such a bad mood?" Draco asked her.

"I'm just stressed out," Jade half-lied. "Too much homework, and Quidditch and everything else."

Jade though, realized she was being a pain in the ass. She decided to try to forget her worries for a bit and enjoy the day. She didn't want to end up fighting with Draco again and risk losing him.

Draco put his arm around her shoulders and without anyone noticing, he kissed the top of her head. Jade smiled.

Both went to a pub to have lunch, there they saw Potter and Cho Chang walking inside, apparently they were on a date. Draco wanted to make fun of him but Jade told him she didn't want anything to ruin that day so they ignored them both and enjoyed their meal.

Before Draco and Jade walked back to the castle, Jade stopped him and gave him a kiss. Draco was a bit stunned. She normally didn't do that and especially without checking first.

"I just felt like doing it," Jade said, answering the question he was going to ask.

"Why are you still with me?" he suddenly asked.

"What do you mean?"

"I sent you to the hospital... You shouldn't even be my friend. I don't deserve you."

"Can you stop blaming yourself? It was an accident. I'm not angry. I don't blame you," Jade told him. "And you were there at the hospital everyday, that shows you care about me..."

"I do," Draco assured her.

"And I care about you, so just let it go, the guilt, okay?"

Draco didn't answer, it wasn't like that. Just let it go. He couldn't. He thought at times that he would never talk to her again, hear her laugh, even when she doesn't laugh often, or hear her voice again. So he couldn't just let it go.

A week later Gryffindor played and lost against Hufflepuff, 240-230. Ginny, Ron's sister, wasn't a bad seeker, and Jade had to admit they adjusted well without Fred, George and Potter.

"Gryffindor lost but they managed to score two hundred and thirty points and in the match against us they scored two hundred and forty," Jade told her team in the common room that afternoon. "That means they are more than two hundred points ahead of us. Hufflepuff is ahead of us too but they also have played one more game than us. We need to get at least two hundred points against Ravenclaw and not let Hufflepuff win against us, or that could mean they get first place, as they have beat both teams, Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. So we'll train more often and longer. We just can't lose."

It was Jade's first year as captain and she knew that to her family and her Slytherin classmates, a second place wasn't enough. She had to win no matter what. She had to prove that being a girl and quite young wasn't an excuse to not be as good as she wanted to be. She could be better than anyone if she really tried.

Jade was walking to the library when she heard her last name being called. She turned around to see Potter. She crossed her arms in front of her and waited for him to catch up with her.

Jade saw his eyes and she didn't like what she saw, something was wrong. She tried to act cool and like she hadn't noticed but she was anxious to know.

"What? Is it about the Azkaban break out?" Jade asked him before he could say a word. "Something happened, right?"

She instantly thought of the possibility that he connected the points. She lived in Wiltshire. They were last seen there. Why? Jade was scared he had discovered a big secret.

"No. I gave an interview a week ago," he told her and she just looked weirdly at him. Why would she care about it? And why would he tell her? "About what happened last year, with.. Voldemort ... and Cedric..."

"Okay... I think that's good," Jade said awkwardly. "Why are you telling me this?"

"I'm sorry," he said suddenly. "I named the Death Eaters that were there."

"You did what?" Jade asked immediately, her eyes going twice as big.

"I didn't mention your mum or your last name, just said that there was a Death Eater called Finley..." Jade's eyes filled with tears. "I said it before I could stop myself. I'm sorry."

"In a way, you should have done the opposite. Name my mother instead of my father but in another way, it's better you didn't," Jade said as calmly as she could manage.

"Why?"

"Can't tell you now, can I?" Jade said quickly. "In a way, I'm angry and if they connect him to me, then people would be more weary of me like your friend. She doesn't want me to go to the D.A meetings, which I understand... but it's okay... like I don't care what people think. I just..."

"I'm sorry," Potter repeated.

"Why? For telling the truth? It's not my fault they chose that life," Jade said trying to act cool and hide her real emotions.

"No, not your fault. That's why you shouldn't be paying for their mistakes."

"I don't think they consider it a mistake. When is this... interview coming out?"

"I'm not sure, soon, I suppose."

Hello guys! I was quite busy this week plus I just wasn't in the mood. I don't know. It was a weird week but I finally updated! Hope you liked the chapter! :)

I finished Dark by the way. I understood the first 2 seasons. The third not too much LOL. It didn't help that it was in German haha

I also finished a new video. I had never made a video about the Lord of The Rings because I didn't have the clips but I thought the song was perfect for the movies, howerer I'm not satisfied with how it ended up. But if you want to watch it, let me know what you think! xx
