Jade was alone in a compartment, it wasn't hard to find one as many students stayed at Hogwarts. The day before was pretty eventless, except before going to bed. Her father reminded her that she must stay away from Harry. That morning two house-elves made sure she looked as if nothing had happened, she was going back to school.

Jade still had Cassius' letter in her pocket, she didn't know what to think about it. She didn't know how recent that letter was... if the girl was still pregnant, or if the baby was already born. What was she supposed to do? Pretend she didn't know or confront Cass about it? Wasn't that supposed to be like a deal breaker for their arranged marriage?

"Are you okay?"

"I've lost count how many times I've been asked that..."

"Must be for a reason," Draco said as he sat in front of her.

"I didn't say you could join me," Jade said with a weak smile.

"I don't care," Draco said with a shrug. "Why didn't you visit me?"

"I was busy..." Jade said looking away. "Wedding stuff. I'm a bridesmaid, who would have thought?"

"I bet it was boring as hell."

"You've got no idea."

Jade whined and had a hard time getting into the carriage at Hogsmeade. It didn't go unnoticed by Draco but he chose to ask later.

Finley wanted to make sure Jade understood the lesson, so his orders were clear. The house-elves were only supposed to hide her bruises, her wounds, but the pain was still there.

She could heal herself, she learnt a few spells with the years but she was too weak to do it at the moment and she was waiting until getting to Hogwarts, or her father could find out and that would cause even more problems.

Draco was worried. Jade barely touched her food during dinner and the spark in her eyes was gone. She sometimes made faces like she was in pain and when he went to put an arm around her she got tensed and groaned as if he had hurt her. She tried to cover it up, saying some excuse that Draco didn't even listen as he knew it was a lie.

She went to bed early so Draco didn't even have the chance to approach the topic. He went to bed as well but he couldn't fall asleep, worrying about Jade. He had actually not slept well for days. Every day he hoped and waited for Jade to go to his house but she never did. And the two times he went to her house he was told she was unavailable.

It was probably around 5:00 a.m. when Draco sat up, suddenly suspecting what could be happening. He went to the common room to think.

He remembered that night when Potter and Jade were taken to Dumbledore's office and she came back, upset. She was scared of her parents finding out, what if they knew? What if they were told?

That look on her eyes, he had only seen it a few times, it hadn't happened in a long time. He felt furious. He felt like going straight to the Lias Manor and killing Finley. Or Lexion if he was involved too. He didn't care if he went to Azkaban, he would do it if he could.

When he saw Jade again, he noticed she was a bit better. She seemed to not be in so much pain anymore but the look on her face didn't change.

"I love you, you know that, right?" Draco said before they left for breakfast together.

Jade looked at him, wanting to speak but said nothing but she did smile. Draco knew she did love him, but she wasn't ready to admit it and he was willing to wait.

Draco watched her closely for two days, she seemed to be lost in thought most of the time and she looked tired even when she was sleeping more. Draco got even more concerned.

"How bad was it this time?" Draco asked her in a low tone when they were in the library doing an essay for Snape. It was the first time Draco had asked about it.

"Bad."

"I didn't want to push you, but you are not okay. And I want to help you," Draco said, his eyes fixed on hers. "I assume your parents were told of everything... so how bad was it?"

"Every night for like an hour or more, I don't even know," Jade said looking down at her parchment. "One time a house-elf had to take me to my room because I couldn't move. And then I just passed out."

"I'm sorry."

"I don't want to go to the wedding... but if I don't or if I mess up one more time I'll be disinherited by my father. And he told me I humiliated not only my family but Cassius' family too but apparently they don't even know... or they pretended they didn't know."

"I'm lost, Jade."

"I think Cassius doesn't know that Harry is my boyfriend... my father could swear they all knew but I think they don't."

"Did you see Cassius?"

"Twice... I told him I was kicked out of the team. His family supported me more than my own... My father said I deserved it."

"Well, you don't. There isn't a better chaser than you."

"It doesn't matter, does it?" Jade said and once again she looked like crying. Draco thought she wasn't going to say anything else as she had been quiet for a while but then she whispered his name.

"Yeah?"

"Our parents... our families... they chose what they are now, right?" Jade said, not wanting to say the words Death Eater. "Do you think they all have the choice or do you think some are forced?"

"Why?" Draco asked concerned. "Do you think they could force you into it? Before that even happens, we run... as far away as we can. We hide... for as long as we need to."

"Thanks," Jade said at the verge of tears. "But I'm not asking for me... but I guess it could be a possibility. Anyway, I'm asking because of my brother."

"Is he... did he join?"

"I'm not sure," Jade whispered. "But if he did join... do you think he did it willingly?"

"It's possible," Draco told her. "I really don't know."

It was the first day of May, and Draco had a meeting with Snape to talk about his possible future career, but five minutes into it Draco let it all out. He told Snape all his worries and he even told him about her father using Crucio on Jade. Draco was hysterical.

He couldn't keep it in. He even told him about her suspicions about her brother being a new follower of Voldemort. And he added that his aunt Bellatrix was staying at the Malfoy Manor with her husband. Her brother-in-law was nowhere to be seen though, and as Jade didn't mention him, he assumed he wasn't at her house like he thought at first. It made sense for Rabastan to stay so close to his brother. But Draco had apparently been wrong, Jade would have told him if she had seen him.

"Is there a way we can protect her? She's going to her brother's wedding this month, and I'm afraid she will be tortured even further and what about the summer holidays? It's two months being with that son of a..."

"I'll see what I can do," Snape said quickly. "Please tell her to come to her lessons as she has cancelled twice since Easter. I'd like to talk to her."

"Don't tell her I told you," Draco said. "She'd hate me."

"She wouldn't but I won't tell her, Mr. Malfoy."

Jade went to see Snape so they could talk about a career, Jade hadn't given it a lot of thought lately and she was confused.

"Have you thought of what you want to do after Hogwarts?" Snape asked.

"Vaguely," she admitted. "I wanted to be a Quidditch player, but that won't happen now, will it?"

"You are right about that." A voice Jade hated said from a corner in the classroom, she turned around to see Umbridge. "You can't be a professional player if you have a record."

"A record?" Jade asked confused. "I don't have a record."

"But you will, what you were doing is illegal."

"What? Snogging a boy that isn't in the same house as me?" Jade exclaimed angrily.

"Alright, Miss Lias, what other options have you thought of?"

"Do we have to do this with her? I don't feel comfortable," Jade said, crossing her arms in front of her.

"As headmistress..."

"I actually feel really sick, Professor," Jade exclaimed, interrupting Umbridge.

"Alright, we'll postpone it."

Before Snape could tell her when to meet again, Jade was already out of the room and she did feel sick for real, she went to the Hospital Wing where Madam Pomfrey gave her something for the nausea and headache. She also stayed there until dinner.

The next day, Jade realized she hadn't heard anyone's thoughts so far. She tried with Channel but nothing was happening.

She wasn't angry anymore, she didn't even know what she was feeling. She had gone a bit numb after she told Draco some of what had happened. There were so many things she still needed to tell him.

Jade had a free period after lunch because she didn't have Divination anymore, she looked out the window of a corridor and saw the Quidditch field in the distance, she felt a pang in her heart.

She turned around and walked to the dungeons. She sat by the fire and started reading something from Potions, skipping Defense Against The Dark Arts class, because she wasn't sure if she could handle seeing Umbridge, when suddenly she heard something like an explosion.

Jade closed the book and hurried out of the common room. She could hear people screaming and saw people running so she also ran to where most people were going.

Some students were covered in something quite disgusting, and were trapped. The whole East Wing had been turned into a swamp. Jade couldn't help but laugh as Umbridge was losing it.

But her laughs ceased when Umbridge's squad, except for Draco, who was nowhere to be found, managed to find and catch the two responsible students. She wasn't surprised to see Fred and George but she was concerned about them, especially when Filch almost begged Umbridge to let him whip them, which she granted.

Jade had her wand at the ready, if she had to vanish that whip and use Impedimenta on Filch and even Umbridge, she would, no matter if she had to do detention with her or got expelled, she didn't care anymore.

But before Filch could do anything, Fred and George got their brooms, mounted them and gave an address to their business where people could buy their products.

"Special discounts to Hogwarts students who swear they're going to use our products to get rid of this old bat!" George exclaimed, pointing at Umbridge.

"Give her hell from us, Peeves," Fred added.

As the Weasley twins flew away, making some fireworks go off as last time, every single student, except Umbridge's squad, clapped and cheered at the twins. They were heroes. Everyone looked at them and at the beautiful sunset, which eventually, was the only thing left to see as the pair was out of sight.

That night and the next day no one saw Umbridge and she wasn't really missed so nobody really cared about her and everyone was speaking about the twins.

That Saturday, three days after the twins left, Jade approached the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall. Ron was the first to notice her presence. He turned around and greeted her with just a smile as his mouth was full.

"Can we talk?" Jade said looking at Ron and then at Harry, who was also looking at her. "You too," she added.

After they finished lunch, the three of them went outside, away from prying eyes and curious ears. Jade looked a bit concerned but also like she was going to struck a deal.

Ron had noticed the change of mood she had had lately but hadn't had the chance to talk to her. Harry also noticed a slight difference but didn't think it was anything to worry about. He didn't know her as well as Ron.

"What is it?"

"I want to ask you two a big, really big favour," Jade said, for once she looked enthusiastic but also nervous.

"I don't like the sound of it," Ron admitted nervously. "Whatever you have in mind, I think Fred and George would be more up to the task."

"I actually considered to pay them a visit and ask them, it's less risky to take them but they don't know anything and you do and it might be fun."

"Take us where?" Harry asked.

"Do you fancy going to a wedding with me?"

"What?" Ron asked.

"My brother's wedding, next weekend," Jade explained.

"Have you lost your mind?" Ron exclaimed. "How are we going to go to your brother's wedding? If you haven't noticed, I'm considered a blood traitor and Harry... well, he's Harry Potter."

"Don't you think I know? I have it all planned out, you don't have to worry, you won't exactly go as yourselves, okay?" Jade said, the spark was back in her eyes and she looked like a naughty little kid who was going to do something crazy.

"Okay, why do you want us to go?"

"It will be a pain and boring as hell," Jade told them with a shrug. "I reckon it would be fun to have you there."

"Is this like a trap to try to get me so Voldemort can kill me?" Ron squealed a bit at the name but Jade only gave him a look.

"If you don't want to come, I'll ask Fred and George, I bet they would love this adventure."

"It's just a wedding," Ron pointed out.

"So you are agreeing to come?" Jade asked him with a smile.

"I'll say yes but I need to know every detail of this plan," Ron told her.

"Okay, what about you?"

"We are not going to an ambush, right?"

"No," Jade assured him.

"Okay."

"Perfect," Jade said with a smile. "Now, have any of you been to France?"

"Why?" they both asked.

"I need to visit someone before the wedding."

"In France? And we need to go too?"

"To be honest, that thing in France is why I want you to come, the wedding is just an excuse to get you out of school."

"Well, you should have said that earlier, we would have agreed to go way sooner, right Harry?"

"Right..."

"So, what are we going to do? How are we going to go to this wedding?"

"Isn't it obvious?" Jade asked with a chuckled. "You are going to take Polyjuice potion."

"And be who, exactly?"

"Channel and Chantel," Jade told them and they just gave her a look. "That's another reason why I thought of Fred and George... twins disguising themselves as another pair of twins, you know?"

"They are hideous though," Ron exclaimed.

"Do you want to be Pansy and Millicent then?" Neither of them said anything. "Thought so."

"But doesn't that potion take a month to be done?" Harry asked.

"Yeah, that's why I bought it."

"Bought it? And how will you manage to get that into Hogwarts without Umbridge finding out?"

"I've got my ways. It's coming in about four days, I already have some hair from the twins and you can use some of my Slytherin uniforms."

"So everything is planned?"

"Yes," Jade said with a smile.
