They walked around the village for a bit until then Jade found a Bed & Breakfast, and they stayed the night there. She had a bed for herself and the boys shared one.
Jade couldn't sleep though, not only it was weird to have two boys in the same room but she also met that girl and Cass' son. It was weird saying that.
And she also thought a lot about what Ron had said, he was right and she knew it but she didn't want to accept. They would never accept Draco just because she wanted him, he could be the best option but they would go against her will, just because that's how they were.
And who even said that Draco would marry her? Or wanted to? Yes, he hated his fiancée, and he had told her twice already that he loved her, so he would want to, right? Jade wasn't so sure and she wasn't going to ask him, that would be weird.
'Hey, Draco, would you want to marry me? I want to know because Cass has a half-blood son and I will tell my parents to consider you as my new fiancé?'
Yeah that could work. Not.
After breakfast, and taking the Polyjuice potions and dressing as girls, the three of them took a bus once again to the French Coast. It was tiring but France had a lot of beautiful landscapes to offer.
And this time they took the Eurotunnel, during that time Jade kept lost in thought. Once they got to England, Jade didn't want to spend another three or more hours traveling, so she got a Portkey, that took them just next to the train station in her hometown. It was just about ten minutes away from her place, so she led the way as the two boys just followed her.
"Well, this is nice," Ron commented as he looked around the little town.
"I love it," Jade said with a smile. "I would live here all my life if I had the option."
"Won't you get your parents' house when they die?" Ron asked and Harry nudged him.
"Probably not, even when my brother already has a house somewhere in Liverpool," Jade told him. "I guess I would get Cass' parents' house, as he is an only child and I'll be married to him but it won't be truly mine."
Harry and Ron were relieved they didn't have to meet Jade parents, they were just greeted by three house-elves. Normally, that was the case anyway, but especially that day everyone was busy because of the wedding.
"Okay, I don't know the twins' sizes but I have a few dresses you can try on," Jade told them as they walked into her room. Both boys were amazed at the size and how well decorated it was. It seemed like a room in a magazine and it was spotless. They felt like they were going to mess the perfection of the place by just being in the room.
Jade took out probably fifteen dresses and laid them all on her bed. Any girl would have gone crazy with such beautiful dresses but Harry and Ron were confused. They didn't even know where to start.
"Just grab the one you like best, put it on, and if it fits, perfect, if it doesn't try another one or maybe we could fix it. I also have shoes for you. Today you'll know what it feels like to be wearing heels," Jade said with a smirk. "Ilvie will help with your hair."
"Who is Ilvie?" Ron asked.
"A house-elf, she normally does my hair when I'm here."
Jade walked into the bathroom and locked the door, then she had a quick shower. She dried her hair with her wand. She slowly put on her dress, Ilvie, who was with her now, zipped it up and helped her with her jewelry.
Even now that she wasn't wearing make-up yet and her hair was a mess, she loved how the dress looked on her. She had to give some credit to Olisca for choosing such a pretty dress.
Then Ilvie did her hair. She started a side braid from the left, and then continued the loose and messy braid until just behind Jade's right ear. She left a strand of hair loose on purpose, it looked perfect.
Then she did the make-up, some green on her eyelids, similar to her eye colour, some eyeliner too. Nothing too heavy as the wedding was during the day.
She opened the door of the bathroom, still barefoot and looked at the boys. Harry, or Chantel had chosen a yellow long dress that she hadn't used in maybe three years, it was a miracle that it fit because Jade was way smaller when she got it, and Ron, Channel, chose the dress she used for the Yule Ball last year.
Then Ilvie focused on the two other girls, or that's what Ilvie thought. Doing some really nice hair-do's with their dark blonde, straight hair. The only difference between the twins was that Chantel had light brown eyes and Channel's were more like hazel than brown, but it was something not so notorious, so for someone who didn't know them well it was extremely hard to tell them apart.
"Now I understand why girls take so long to get ready," Ron said. "By the way, do you think I look fat in this dress, I think it's a bit tight."
"Really, Ron?" Jade exclaimed giving him a look.
As the sister of the groom and as bridesmaid, Jade had to leave to be with Olisca and the other girls, but she gave Harry a purse, assuming he was the most responsible out of the two, and inside they had more of the potion. They were going to the church with a house-elf.
Olisca was very nervous but there wasn't even a chance to have second thoughts, she had to get married, there was no other option.
They all apparated in front of the church, with Olisca's father there. Before the women walked in, three kids did. First a boy, he was about four, then a girl, the flower girl, she was about six and then a boy, he was around seven and he had the rings. The two older were Olisca's relatives but the little one was the son of one of Jade's cousins from Greece. The only time she had seen him was when he was about three months old.
After the kids, Olisca's English friend, Amanda, walked in, followed by her Scottish cousin, Ava. And then it was time for Jade to walk in, She walked in with confidence despite being super nervous, lots of people were there, around two hundred, if not more.
As she got closer to the end of the aisle, Jade saw her brother, he winked at her and she offered him a smile. Next to him was Cass. He was wearing a black Tuxedo with a green tie, which was the same colour of the bridesmaids' dresses. He smiled wide when he saw she was looking at him, she blushed a bit.
Jade finally made it, she stood behind Ava, a few seconds later, Olisca's Irish cousin, Bonnie stood behind Jade and finally her american friend, Chelsea.
Everyone stood as the bride was about to get in, walking next to her father, who was quite a tall but old man. Jade saw her mother, smiling brightly at the pair. Her father kissed the top of her head before Lex took his place next to her.
Once everyone was allowed to sit, Jade went to sit next to her mother on the first row, who was wearing a light purple dress. There were three people on the bench that she didn't recognize but didn't ask who they were, if they were sat there they must be relatives, right?
"I do," she heard her brother said, but she couldn't see happiness in his green eyes, the smile was fake.
Everyone cheered when they kissed, it was official. Olisca was now a Lias. In the same order, the girls walked out, it was then when she saw Draco, in between her parents. Jade smiled brightly at him and he waved at her.
Minutes later they were at her house, the reception was going to be held there. The garden was big enough to have everyone that was at the church and probably another two hundred guests that skipped the ceremony.
Somehow, Ron and Harry found Jade, she smiled when she saw them. They looked a bit overwhelmed, but it was good to see they still looked like girls.
"You looked really pretty," Ron complimented. "You were the prettiest of the bridesmaids, even the bride."
"Thanks, Ro... Channel," Jade said, going a bit red. "I didn't see you back there."
"We were in the very back," Harry said.
"Jade!" Draco said going their way. He looked a bit shocked to see the twins there. "Oh, didn't know they would be here."
"Yeah, last minute plan," Jade said with a smile. "Thanks for coming by the way."
"No problem," Draco said. "Your brother and that girl will have their first dance, do you want to come?"
"Uh, sure."
Jade stood between Draco and Ron, they were watching as Lex and Olisca were starting their first dance together as a married couple. The song ended and then Raven danced with Lex and Olisca danced with her father, then their spouses also joined.
Jade was just looking as her parents danced, pretending to love each other, when Cassius walked to her and stuck out his hand to her. Jade went red.
"Come on, just one song."
Jade nodded, feeling a bit awkward as she could feel Draco's eyes on her. Harry and Ron were also looking at just her. It was a slow song so she had to get close to Cass. She was tense but she still moved with grace around the dancefloor.
Cass kissed her hand when the song finished and then she excused herself and went to sit at a table, followed by Harry and Ron.
"I think Draco likes you," Harry told her.
"That's funny, why you say that?" Jade asked as she took a sip of some dark beverage she got from one of the house-elves. Ron and Harry both knew it was alcoholic.
"Well, the way he looked at Perseus when he asked you to dance. And then he kept making remarks about him to us, the whole time," Harry said.
"Like what?"
"Stupid things... like Perseus can't dance but he actually can, that it was obvious you weren't comfortable with him and he almost lost it when Perseus put his hand a bit lower," Harry said and Jade just eyed him.
"Well, he doesn't like Cass that much, not after he took me to the Yule ball and practically abandoned me for Fayette," Jade said. "As my best friend he is only caring about me."
"And being jealous," Ron added. "Does he know he is your fiancé?"
"Yeah, he does. That's why he was even angrier about that incident."
"Who does Malfoy have to marry?"
"Uh, it's a Slytherin girl in the third year, she's nothing special. She doesn't even have good grades and she's quite ugly."
"Hmm," Ron said.
"What?"
"Do you like Draco too?"
"No, I'm just stating the truth, I can show you who she is when we are back at Hogwarts and you'll see it's true."
When the slow songs ended, Jade took Harry and Ron to the dancefloor. Ron was more eager but Harry really didn't know what to do. Jade laughed, not in a bad way, she just found it comical.
"Just see what everyone else is doing and copy them," Ron said to Harry. "Some are already drunk so they aren't even paying attention to us."
After a few songs they went to eat, the three people who were next to her in the church, went to sit at her table, Raven and the Malfoys also joined them.
Lucius, Narcisa and Raven seemed to know the three strangers, even Draco seemed to know more than Jade. Ron and Harry were as lost as her.
"Yes, Lex and Oli will go to Australia and some Islands nearby for their honeymoon," Raven said with a smile. "Unfortunately winter is starting over there, but I'm sure it will be lovely."
"I think Australia is overrated," one of the men said. "Bella and I went years ago."
"Well, it's been at least fifteen years since you went, it can't be that bad," Narcisa said.
Harry and Ron never imagined to be sharing a table with at least two death eaters. They knew Lucius was one but they didn't know about his wife, and the three strangers could be Death Eaters as well.
They were quite nervous about the Death Eaters, they also saw Crabbe and Goyle Senior and some other known Death Eaters around. They had to make sure to keep drinking the potion regularly so they wouldn't change back to themselves. That would be catastrophic.
But besides that, they were overwhelmed. There were so many people. The decoration was amazing. The people's elegant gowns, all the gifts that were inside the house by the entrance, they knew that even if they tried, all those gifts wouldn't fit into Harry's or Ron's houses.
And the entertainment, the employees, the house-elves. At some point there were even fireworks. They couldn't even imagine how much they had spent on this party. They had never been to a wedding that was so extravagant, crowded and luxurious.
"I think Olisca was a great choice, she will fit in the family quite well," that same man from earlier said. "She's perfect for Lexion, Ravie."
"Well, it was tough but at the end I was quite glad with our decision and Lex and Oli seem to get along quite nicely," Raven said proudly.
Jade was just finishing her food when she dropped her fork. It made quite a loud noise so everyone at the table looked at her. She immediately went red.
"I'm sorry," she said, levitating the fork and cleaning it a spell. "Clumsy me."
"Or rather drunk," Raven pointed out in a disapproving way.
But she wasn't being clumsy or drunk, she realized something and by the look in her eyes, the three boys knew she wasn't okay. Jade looked at Draco and as if he knew what was on her mind, he nodded sadly and then looked down.
Jade suddenly felt sick. Ravie. She had heard or rather read that nickname from letters from just two people. She could only assume the man talking was Rodolphus Lestrange and the second man was his brother, Rabastan, and the woman was Rodolphus' wife, Bellatrix. It seemed now that Ron and Harry weren't the only ones using Polyjuice potions.
Draco seemed to know what she was feeling so he stood up quickly and asked her if she wanted to dance, she nodded, but she couldn't leave Harry and Ron there on their own.
"Uh, Channel, Chantel, you can come too," Jade said.
"Actually, we wanted to use the toilet," Ron whispered as they stood up. He didn't want them to notice his voice wasn't so feminine.
"Sure, you can go to my room and use mine," Jade said with a smile.
Jade and Draco walked to the dancefloor but then kept walking, and went to a quieter area. Jade stood against a tree while Draco was in front of her with his hands inside his pocket.
"How did you find out?"
"He called my mum, Ravie, only they called her that," Jade said. "How do you know?"
"Aunt Bellatrix and Rodolphus have been staying at mine, I was there when they took the Polyjuice potion and saw them during Easter. Rabastan is staying here at yours."
" What? No way! How come I've never seen him?"
"He should probably be out all day, I don't know."
"Who are they supposed to be?"
"Just random Muggles they found in the neighbouring town," Draco told her. "For some reason they wanted Muggles who looked quite different from them."
"Why didn't you tell me before?"
"I hadn't had the chance. I only got to see you after the church and you were next to the twins and you know those two are big gossipers so I couldn't tell you with them there and after Easter... well, you didn't look good, and with everything going on I decided to wait. I was going to tell you earlier this morning but I found out you came earlier, I'm sorry I didn't tell you."
"This is so pathetic," Jade said out of nowhere. "Killers are all over my house, we are celebratring a marriage between two people who don't really love each other but we all pretend they do."
"Yeah... but you look gorgeous, so it's worth it," Draco said with a smirk.
"Draco!"
"What? It's true!"
"You should be more careful, Chantel said you like me. That you were jealous of Cass."
"That big mouth!" Draco exclaimed. "I was a bit upset, that's all. Besides, liking someone is not a crime, so I don't care."
"Could be a crime for us."
"If we rebel against them because we love each other and we run away, it could be, still not a crime but it would be seen as that."
Jade didn't know what to say, she was blushing though and her heart was beating fast. She wanted to kiss Draco, he was so handsome tonight but with over four hundred people she couldn't risk it.
"Right, like if we would do that," Jade finally said, she thought that turning it into a joke it would seem less serious or they could just change the topic.
"I already told you I love you, so yeah, I would," Draco told her in a quieter voice. Still, Jade looked around nervously.
"You are only fifteen, Draco."
"So? We are adults at seventeen and I've known you all my life. And all of this is bullshit," Draco said. "Just look at your brother, he seems like he is at a funeral. Like, yes, he's smiling and laughing, but if you really pay attention to him, you can see all is fake and that he stops smiling as soon as no one is looking at him. And guess what? At some point, we'll all be on his shoes. One day that will be me and another day that will be you and Cass and eventually that will be our kids. It just never ends or changes."
"Draco?"
"Yeah?"
"If I find a good reason to not marry Cass, do you think my parents will consider calling off the engagement?"
Draco turned his attention from Lexion, who was still in the dancefloor with his friends and Cass, to Jade. He looked serious and like if he wanted to find out what was on Jade's mind. Jade just looked down at the ground and bit her lip.
"It's very unlikely. Cassius is like perfect, they love him. If there is actually something bad, they might overlook it and pretend nothing bad has happened. My mother told me that your parents only wanted a girl before you were born, so their family could be tied somehow to the Perseus family, and Lexion and Cassius were already friends, so why not?"
"I thought my parents wanted me to be a boy."
"Nope, they actually wanted a girl. So, the whole reason you exist is because they wanted a daughter to marry Cassius, if he or his family did something wrong, disgraceful, as far as no one knows about it, they will pretend it didn't happen."
"What if it comes out?"
"They'll cover it somehow. Your mother works at the Ministry. She's got power and influence. She knows people with more power and she knows people who are willing to get their hands dirty. Whatever they have done won't matter as they will get rid of it, erase all evidence. And eventually it will be like it never happened."
"You really believe that?" Jade asked as she looked at Draco, her heart beating fast as she thought of the little blue-eyed baby but soon forced herself to not think about him.
"Honestly, yes, I do."
"So, there's no way out for me?"
"There is one."
"But I'm scared of that one," Jade admitted.
"I was too, not so much anymore."
"Draco?"
"Yes, Jade?"
"You look really handsome today," Jade said with a smile.
"Wow, thanks. Don't I look handsome everyday though?" he asked her with a smirk.
"Nope," she said biting her lip.
"I see," Draco said, still smiling. "So you don't like me?" Jade shook her head but her smile gave her away.
"Just today."
"Damn, it is because you are dating Potter, isn't it?"
"What?" Jade exclaimed laughing. "Yeah, it's the glasses, you know? They make him irresistable."
"So, if I wear glasses will you dump him and go out with me?"
"Possibly," Jade said with a shrug. "But I'm not sure how good you would actually look."
They continued to joke around for a bit and then they did go to dance for a while, thing that didn't go unnoticed by Cass. They were laughing and having a good time, unlike when she danced with him. It wasn't as graceful or neat, but they were enjoying it.
Then they went inside her house and sat on one living room, it was quiet and comfortable. Jade took off her heels and they just rested there for a bit. It was nice to be away from the people and music for a while.
They walked back outside, it was already dark by then. The bride was about to throw the bouquet, her mother made Jade and Ron and Harry go and participate, while Draco stayed next to Raven with his arms crossed.
"Well, this is fun," Jade commented in a sarcastic tone.
Olisca turned around so they were just looking at her back and then she threw it backwards. Lots of girls screamed and tried to grab the bouquet, while Jade didn't even attempt anything. She didn't want to get married.
Surprisingly, it was Ron - Channel, who grabbed it. Jade clapped, laughed and whistled at him. Ron went scarlet red and just smiled awkwardly at the crowd and at the glares of the other single ladies. Not like it mattered to about half of them, as they were already engaged.
"Wow, who would have imagined," Harry said with a chuckle. "Don't forget to tell me who is the lucky girl."
"Wait, are you a lesbian?" Draco asked, overhearing the conversation.
The three of them, Jade included, stared at Draco with big eyes. He looked confused. Luckily, because of the loud music and people talking, Draco couldn't tell the voice wasn't really Chantel's but Harry's.
"Uh no, why?" Jade said.
"She said..."
"No," Jade said quickly. "She said she's always the lucky girl. Chantel is a sore loser."
"Hey, they are going to cut the cake, let's go!" Chelsea, the American, said excited. Jade was grateful for the interuption and grabbed the twins' hands and pulled them with her, Draco following them, still confused.
It was probably 1:00 a.m. when everyone except for a few people have left. The Malfoys and the three strangers (kind of) were one of the last people to leave. Jade hugged her brother tightly as he was soon going to his own house with his now wife.
They left followed by Olisca's parents and then by Cass and his parents. They complimented her on how pretty she looked before leaving. Then she went to her room with Harry and Ron.
The house-elves had prepared a bed in one corner for them, as Jade said very specifically she wanted them in her room. It was weird but she didn't want to risk it. If anyone saw them as Harry or Ron it would be very bad, so even if they had probably twelve or so spare rooms, they stayed with Jade.
This time they went back to Hogwarts with Draco, which made things tricky. What if the real twins were in the Slytherin common room? What if they walked by and Draco saw them there? That was something Jade hadn't thought of.
"Uh, Draco? We still have time to eat breakfast. I'm starving, do you want to come with me to the Great Hall?"
Knowing the twins, Jade was almost certain that the twins, the real ones, weren't in the Great Hall. They always showed very early or very late and somehow they never went together. It was still a risk.
"Uh, sure," Draco said. He was still sleepy. "Aren't you coming?"
"Uh, yes, we will just go change," Harry said in the most feminine voice he could master. The twins were vain, so Draco believed the lie.
Harry and Ron pretended like if they were going to the Dungeons but once Draco and Jade were out of sight they almost ran up the stairs, away from their sight and went to the boys' bathroom, knowing they couldn't walk into the Gryffindor common room looking like Slytherin girls.
"So we just wait for it to wear off?" Ron asked as they changed into guys clothes.
"Yeah, I guess."
"Remind me not to go to any other wedding pretending to be someone else," Ron exclaimed.
"But Channel, you got the bouquet... you are going to get married next."
"Shut up!"
Sorry guys, for some reason I wasn't really in the mood of reading and checking for mistakes and update. I've been doing more exercise and I usually go to my uncle's afterward and I stay until 9pm so I haven't really got the time. Like today I will do my routine (20 minutes at home of warm up/stretching) then leave at 4 stay at the gym until 7-7:15, and probably get home at 9.
But enough of that, hope the chapter was good and let me know what you think of Draco's opinion, of the 'special' guests and anything else you want to tell me.
