One morning Jade sat alone on the breakfast nook to eat her eggs and drink her apple juice. She had heard her mother and Olisca leaving about an hour ago.

She was reading the Daily Prophet and drinking some of the juice when an owl tapped on the window. Feeling lazy, she asked a house-elf to get it for her and to give a treat to the owl.

The House-elf informed her that the letter was for her, so when she was done with her breakfast she picked it up from the table but this one wasn't from Ron, Harry or Fayette or Draco.

She opened it and she was glad that she was alone as it was her O.W.L.s results. She didn't want her parents to see those just yet. And if possible she wasn't going to show them.

Charms - O

Transfiguration - O

Herbology - P

Defense Against The Dark Arts - O

Potions - E

Care of Magical Creatures - O

Astronomy - E

Arithmancy - O

History of Magic - A

She knew that in some classes like Potions, she had to get O's, and just in some she was allowed to get an E, but getting an A (acceptable) and a P (poor) was really bad.

There was no excuse for History of Magic and Herbology, she just wasn't that good. But she knew she got a E in Astronomy because of what happened to Hagrid and McGonagall that night and she wasn't able to finish her chart. And she got an E in Potions because she couldn't finish her potions, it was when Draco told her for the first time that he wanted to run away and she couldn't concentrate. Actually, she was surprised she got an E, she expected an A or below.

She decided to write to Ron and Harry and ask them about their O.W.L.s results. She was unsure if she should go to Draco's and ask him about his. She didn't even know what was between them anymore. They hadn't talked since that day and she knew something was up but she didn't know what exactly.

That night she finally saw her father but he barely ackonledged her and Jade was good with that. She rather that than being punished. And she was glad none of her parents had asked her about her results. They were too busy with Lexion.

Two days later Harry and Ron replied to her. They had started with the new nicknames just in case. Harry was H Doe, Ron was Dog Jack and Jade was L Swan. L from Leonie.

Harry told her he got seven passing grades and one O. He failed History of Magic and Divination, like Ron. Ron got seven O.W.L.s too but not a single O. Ron even added that Granger was being a pain, she got nine O's and one E.

Jade frowned at that but didn't really care for long. She normally competed with Granger to get better grades but she didn't care that much anymore after the reality they were living, she had other things to worry about than beating Granger.

She passed ten classes out of ten while Jade passed eight out of ten and got five O's while Granger got nine. Maybe last year she would have been furious but now she was okay with it. She had other things in her mind.

The following week, Finley, Raven and Jade had to go to Lexion's trial. They were trying to appeal his sentence. Olisca and his parents were also there.

Jade was dressed like if she was attending a funeral. A black fancy shirt, a black skirt just above her knees and black leggings and black heels. She also had a black hat and her hair was half in a ponytail and it was slightly curled at her ends. She was also wearing some fancy and expensive jewerly. She looked around eighteen that day because of the way she was dressed.

She was glad she was wearing a hat, that way she could lean her head and sort of hide her face from the dozens of cameras that were around the place. Those people were going to be there for the whole trial and Jade felt invaded. Those pictures were going to be in every Daily Prophet and other Newspapers the following morning and her school mates and teachers and neighbours were going to see those pictures and read the article. She wished in that moment that her last name could be less important and known but if anything, it would get more known after all of that mess. And every student knew her because she was the Slytherin Quidditch Captain and for apparently dating Harry Potter and being in an illicit group.

While they waited, this really annoying man got close to Jade and Olisca. Their parents had gone somewhere else for a few minutes. The man wanted to interview them. Mostly Jade.

Did you know your brother was a Death Eater? How do you feel about it? Are you one too? Are your parents, Finley and Raven, still working for You-Know-Who? What about his wife? Are they training you? Are you rich for working for You-Know-Who? What do you know about Dark Magic?

The man asked all that and more and to everything Jade replied 'no comments', looking calm and unaffected while Olisca seemed annoyed despite not being asked anything directly.

When Jade's eyes finally landed on her brother, her heart broke. It was hard to see Lexion. He had cuffs on his hands and feet. He looked like he had lost ten pounds and he looked dirty and angry. The smirk that he usually wore was long gone. He looked defeated.

Because Lexion was a young man, no records, and since he hadn't killed anyone, he got twelve years in Azkaban. With a second appeal in two years he could maybe get a reduction but it wasn't likely.

Twelve years... Jade could be angry at him and not agree with what he had done and chosen but she imagined her life without her brother for twelve year. She would be Twenty-seven and he would be thirty-one when he would finally be released. Jade thought twelve years way too long and unfair, maybe five would be just right? Still, too long.

Lots of things could happen in twelve years. Jade could marry Cassius as it was planned and have a kid, or she could run away and never see anyone again or she could get killed. Things weren't well in the Wizarding world.

In fact, all England was being affected. Bridges were being taken down by Death Eaters. Cities destroyed by giants and many people were going missing or killed. Muggles thought it was happening because of natural disasters but Wizards knew it was all caused by Death Eaters.

That night there was a dinner party at the Lias Manor. Jade could see Narcissa Malfoy, Olisca and both her parents. And then she froze. She saw Rabastan and Rodolphus Lestrange but they weren't the problem, it was Bellatrix.

Jade ran to her room and called a house-elf. Ilvie appeared quickly and Jade asked her to turn her hair ginger. It was close to Ron's shade of red and to be honest it fit her but would it be enough? She also didn't like that she would obviously get some attention, at least six people in there knew that she wasn't a redhead.

As she walked down the stairs, she thought of places where she could apparate if things got bad. She also had her wand ready just in case. But could she fight off at least three Death Eaters plus her parents?

"Oh Jade, hello," Narcissa greeted her with a smile. "When did you become a redhead? It suits you."

"Thanks," Jade said smiling. "I wanted a change."

Jade sat in between Olisca and Narcissa. She kept eyeing the Lestranges but she didn't want them to notice. She kept quiet during the whole dinner.

They talked about Lexion's trial, even mentioned Lucius Malfoy for a bit. And Jade found out that Emmeline Vance and Amelia Bones were murdered recently and some giants were attacking certain parts of the UK.

Then things started to get tensed. Finley and Raven were arguing with Bellatrix and Rodolphus about Jade.

They kept telling Bellatrix and Rodolphus that they didn't want to lose both of their kids. That they wanted at least one grandchildren to keep their name alive. And the other two, especially Bellatrix, told them that it was nonsense, that if she had children, especially one as bright as Jade, she would be honoured if they would be at the service of the Dark Lord.

"Jade is only fifteen, Bella," Narcissa told her sister in a calm tone, but Jade could feel she was tensed.

"She still has a lot to learn," Raven added. "She's not ready to join him. Apparently Lexion wasn't ready either even despite his training. Sending her right now would be a suicide mission."

"And the Dark Lord is not in need of a teenage girl. No offense but I think she would be a waste of time now and a risk for all of us. If she is sent on a mission and she is not ready... that's a risk," Rabastan said. "I agree with Narcissa and Ravie, the girl needs to at least turn seventeen and be taught different things, including dark magic before she can join. You can see in her eyes she knows nothing about Dark Magic."

"And Raven and I will make sure to teach her," Finley said and Jade shuddered slightly. "Maybe next summer we can start with the lessons. This year we've all been busy with our different missions and trying to help Lexion, somehow."

It seemed like if Jade was not even present, they talked about her like if she wasn't even there. But it was good that even Rabastan thought that she shouldn't join Voldemort... yet.

And it was good that apparently Bellatrix and her husband hadn't recognized her. She might stay as a ginger for the rest of the summer. Rabastan was staying at her house so she knew she would be seeing more of Bellatrix and Rodolphus for the rest of the summer.

On a Tuesday, Jade grabbed a backpack with some stuff as she was leaving to see Pansy... or that's what her parents thought. In reality she had been invited to the Weasleys' by Ron's mother.

Jade walked out of the house and went to the train station, there she tried to apparate to London where she was supposed to meet Tonks.

She had never tried such a long distance and she thought it was silly as she could do something wrong and mess everything up but she managed to do it without a problem. Jade was in London five minutes before she should. She made sure to not get there too early or too late.

As expected Tonks was waiting for her, but for some reason she looked miserable. Even her hair wasn't a bright pink but a normal brown and her usual joking attitude wasn't there.

They got to the Burrow through the Floo Network. At once they were welcomed by Mrs. Weasley, who ran to their living room when she heard the noise.

"Jade, my dear, so good to see you!" Mrs. Weasley said as she hugged the brunette girl. "Ron! Come here!"

A few seconds later, Ron walked into the living room and he was shocked to see her. It was then when she realized Ron didn't know she was coming. Then she also saw Harry, Ginny, Ron's brother, Bill and someone she never expected to see again.

"Sorry, can't remember your name," the blonde girl said with a thick French accent.

"It's Jade..."

She kissed both Jade's cheeks and she felt so awkward about it. Mrs. Weasley left the room with her son Bill. But the French stayed a bit longer to have a chat.

"She's so annoying," Ginny said to Jade as the blonde finally left the room. "Can you believe he's marrying my brother?"

"Yeah I can," Jade murmured. "It seemed French girls are really digging English men."

"Jade..." Ron said in a warning tone.

Harry and Ron knew why she was saying that as they did travel to France with her to meet one of Fleur's classmates.

Fleur was alright, she hadn't done anything to Jade to justify why Jade didn't like her. She just reminded her of Fayette. They had the same accent, the same smile, the same way of behaving. And funny enough Jade didn't dislike Fayette. But she disliked the situation. Knowing that she actually slept with her future husband made her really upset and uncomfortable.

That day they played some Quidditch, Bill and Harry against Ron and Jade. Eventually, Ginny replaced Bill. Jade hadn't touched a broom since Umbridge kicked her out of the team and it felt nice to be flying again. She didn't know how much she missed it until she got on the broom and kicked off.

After dinner, the four of them, Ginny included, were in what used to be the twins' room but now Jade was staying there. Ginny and Ron were on Fred's bed and Harry and Jade were on George's.

They talked about what had been going on all around England, they talked about their examination results and they also talked about the disappearances and murders.

"Uh, now that we are talking about Death Eaters and that they are becoming stronger and people are talking more about them, I think it's time I should tell you something," Jade said in a very seriuos tone.

"Is it about your brother?" Ron asked. Jade shook her head.

"I didn't want to tell you because it's bad. I thought you wouldn't want to be my friends anymore if you knew. I thought you would trust me even less," Jade said the last part looking at Harry. "It's something I really try to not even think about but I believe that with everything going on, it's better if you hear it from me than some other person or the Daily Prophet."

"What is it, Jade?" Harry asked, concerned.

"Do you know my mother's last name?" Jade asked them and after five seconds they all shook their heads. "Do you know why I know about what happened to Neville's parents?"

"Do you know about that?" Ron asked. He found out when he ran into Neville in St. Mungos last year. Harry knew because Dumbledore told him. Jade only nodded at him.

"Yeah, I know what happened to them because I've been told all my life about it because that's what sent the Lestranges to Azkaban..." Jade said biting her lip. "My mother complaint about it for years. You see... Rodolphus and Rabastan Lestrange are my mother's brothers."

There was an awkward silence after that. Ginny's eyes got wide, Ron gasped and Harry just didn't do anything, he probably was trying to process it. Jade bit her lip.

"Yeah, my mother's name is Raven Lestrange. Not many people know or even remember as she wasn't as important, as popular as her brothers. And Lias wasn't a name that people connected to Voldemort so it was a good cover... And yes, Bellatrix Lestrange is my aunt through marriage. I hadn't met her until a few nights ago. She wanted to convince my parents to make me join the Death Eaters."

"What did they say?"

"They said no, even Rabastan said no," Jade told Harry. "I always knew I had two uncles and an aunt in Azkaban and I was always told why... I don't know if you noticed but I can hardly stand being around Neville... I feel horrible. My family destroyed his."

"But it's not your fault," Ron told her.

"Still. I have uncles, aunt, neighbours, parents and now a brother that are Death Eaters. I see and I know now all the horrible things they do. I'm surrounded by all of them... anyway, that's why I was so horrified when they broke out of Azkaban. I thought they would be at my house... Rabastan was supposed to be there but never saw him."

"Blimey... was that why they were at your brother's wedding? Because they were family?" Ron asked and Jade nodded. "Now it makes sense why they were at our table."

"Our table? Did you go to his wedding?" Ginny asked confused. "Why didn't they kill you?"

"Polyjuice potion," Jade told her. "They did go and Ron got the bouquet. They stayed at my house that night."

"Okay... I got the bouquet alright but I did notice something too... Draco fancies you."

"He doesn't," Jade said awkwardly.

"He actually does," Ginny said and Jade just gave her a look. "I've seen him during Quidditch matches. He is staring at you more time than looking for the Snitch."

"That's not true... I'd have noticed. And he's my best friend, you know? We've known each other since birth."

"So?" Ron asked. "He was obviously jealous that night when you were dancing with Perseus and he went nuts when you were in a coma."

"Obviously! Like I said, we are best friends! And he thinks it was his fault."

"Oh and don't forget that he actually wrote to us!" Harry said.

"Wait? What?"

"Oh yeah... I can answer your questions from the letter now. So, Malfoy wrote to us saying he was worried. That you weren't home and asking if you were here. We took Polyjuice potion that we still had from the wedding, went to your house with Malfoy and asked three house-elves where were you, none of them knew," Ron told her. "That's why we were so worried... the fact Malfoy sent us a letter each, and asked for our help was alarming. Where were you anyway?"

"Draco was that worried?"

"Yes and when we met he didn't insulted us once, you could clearly see how worried he was," Ron said. "So what happened?"

"I was just scared. I stayed at Cass' for a week. I know it must be wrong but I didn't know where else to go."

"What about Malfoy's?" Ginny asked.

"He lives five minutes from my place," Jade explained. "And Bellatrix could be at his house. And with what happened to his father it wouldn't be prudent."

"What about here?"

"My brother was captured with many Death Eaters and the journalists were too kind to explain my parents were also Death Eaters. I wasn't too sure if your parents would be keen to have me here," Jade told Ginny.

"They already knew about your parents and the fact Lexion joined them wasn't a shock to them or even us... just to you. Your entire family can be Death Eaters, you can be related in some way to horrible people like Bellatrix, but you are you... and you are a decent, nice, good person. Not too nice at times but still with a good heart," Ron told her. "You went there that night with us, risking everything. That's gotta mean something, right?"

Jade smile at Ron and nodded slightly. She was worried about revealing her mother's side of the family and being rejected because of it but they didn't took it bad. And Ron's words meant a lot to her.

I'm so sorry guys for taking so long to update. I feel awful. But I made it longer to make up for it! :D

And what do you think of what Jade revealed? I know some of you saw it coming and asked about it and I was avoiding the question to not give anything away LOL. But it's out now. Bellatrix is Jade's aunt by law :P
