Draco tried to do things to find her but he had gotten nowhere. Then before it got completely dark outside that day, a house-elf appeared in his room. It was Jade's. He recognized the skinny, small, delicate creature, with icy-blue eyes.

"Is Jade okay?" Draco asked, instantly. She nodded. "Where is she?"

"Ilvie doesn't know where Mistress Jade was taken," she squealed. "She told me that if anything happened to her, I should give you this."

Ilvie raised her hands, holding a whitish envelope. It wasn't signed or anything. Draco took the letter from her thin, shaking hands.

"I know I'm not your master but if you know anything about Jade, please tell me as soon as you can, I want to save her and I know you do too. You know that whatever happened to her, it's not okay. She gave you this letter because she knew something was coming and she was preparing for it. So, if you can find out her whereabouts or anything, please tell me." Ilvie nodded at him, he could see that her eyes watered, Jade was kind to Ilvie and cared about her, and she cared about Jade.

"Ilvie has to go now."

Ilvie vanished with a pop. Draco wanted to read the letter but instead, put it inside his pocket and apparated to the Weasley's. They seemed busy and frustrated.

"Her uncle confirmed she was kidnapped by her father so she can marry Cassius," Draco told them without even greeting them, they didn't even look up to see him, just kept doing whatever they were doing. "She's getting married in two days."

Draco felt so weird saying what he was saying, how can a parent kidnap their own child? He couldn't comprehend it. He knew Finley was a bit radical and strict and his beliefs about Voldemort and Pure-Bloods were too strong but he never believed he would be capable of doing such a thing.

"And I thought our family was crazy," Fred said as he glanced quickly at Draco. "We haven't found anything yet. No one knows anything."

"What?" A third voice roared from a corner. Draco turned to look to his left. "Is Jade marrying Perseus? But she said she was running away before that happened."

"So you knew?" George asked, shocked.

Ron Weasley got out of the wardrobe and looked angry and desperate. His face was as red as his hair. Draco was shocked to see him there. The rumour was that he was gravely ill at home.

"Of course I knew! She told me all about that Pureblood bullshit," Ron said outraged. "Is that why you were so busy? Why didn't you tell me? You know she is my friend! One of my best friends, in fact!"

"It was confidential," George said with a shrug. At those words, Draco knew he didn't make a mistake by trusting the twins, knowing they didn't even tell their younger brother about it. "Now you know, though."

"Isn't Jade sixteen though? Can she actually marry someone being underage?"

"You knew that as well?" Fred asked.

"She told us when we took Apparition lessons and explained she was still underage so she couldn't take them. Anyway, can she do it? Isn't it illegal?"

"Well, the parents must sign some documents to allow anyone underage to marry, but since her father is actually the one who is forcing her, that won't be a problem, will it?" Draco said. He felt how his blood started to boil again. "How do we find her, though?"

"We are working on it," Fred said.

"Doesn't your parents or any of your relatives know the location?" George asked.

"Apparently they will be notified of where to go an hour before the wedding," Draco told them.

"That won't be enough time and by the time we get there, there will be so many more people. We must get there before all those people arrive!" Ron said frustrated. "What about Perseus? He must know!"

"He doesn't know a thing," Draco told him. "My mother asked. He didn't lie. He would have at least hinted something. He doesn't want to get married now either."

"What now, then?" Ron asked and the four guys just looked at each other with disappointment and frustration written all over their faces.

Draco didn't sleep that night. The Weasleys and Draco worked hard to find a way to locate Jade. They thought of several things that could work, and even tried some of them. Each one of them proved to be a failure and each one made them a little bit more insecure and more hopeless. Morning had come way too quickly and they had nothing.

Draco decided to go home, see if there was any news but promised he would be back before noon. Narcissa didn't know anything else and even when Draco desperately wanted to talk to Cassius he knew he couldn't. He was supposed to be back at Hogwarts.

Draco thought and thought but nothing new came to him. It was like his mind was blocked. Then as he paced and put his hands inside his pockets, he felt something. He took the piece of parchment out of his left pocket and looked at the letter that Jade had left him. Draco felt like a stab in his heart, he was even scared of reading it but he needed to read it. Maybe the answer he was looking for was inside, he hoped at least, so he slowly opened it with trembling hands.

Draco,

I've written this letter in case I don't have the chance to tell you all of this in person. If you got this, it means I had to run away but don't worry, I'm coming back for you. I promise. We're on this together, right?

First of all, I wanted to tell you that I love you, Draco. It took me a long time to accept it but I do and I hope I get to tell you in person.

There are so many things I have to tell you that I couldn't share with you before but you need to know. I just hope that when you finish reading this, that you don't think bad of me or hate me. And if you do, well, at least let me help you get out of that hell. I guess I owe you that much.

Anyway, here it goes…

It took Draco an hour to finish reading the letter, and it took him a couple more hours to reread it and reread it. Jade was telling him many things that were overwhelming but some did stuck with him the most.

There's a prophecy about me.

Apparently Harry and I are soulmates and destined to be together but I love you.

I'm a real Gryffindor.

Dumbledore changed reality to save lots of people.

I die, Draco. I actually die. And I will if I don't prevent the prophecy from becoming true.

Dumbledore mentioned a boy before he died, do you remember? Leo...

Draco now remembered that Dumbledore did mention a Leo, he was too overwhelmed and scared that he didn't remember half of what happened that night. But now that he was reading about it, he did recall someone saying the name Leo. If he wasn't wrong Dumbledore said he was named that after his mother.

Leo is my son. The son I'd have if Dumbledore hadn't changed the future. It can still happen, 's still time for it to happen.

The letter contained many other things but the fact there was a prophecy about Jade's death really crushed Draco. He reread that part many, many times. He didn't even pay attention to the part where Jade asked him to be in charge of the Quidditch team and make sure that Amanda doesn't get kicked out because she was a girl, she was too good.

Or the part where she tells him that she read Lucius' mind by accident and that all he was thinking about was how much he loved Draco. Or that because of Lucius, who used a spell to confuse the Lestranges and some other Death Eater that were at the Ministry so they wouldn't recognise Jade and harm her for supporting 'the enemy'.Or any other part. He wished he had never opened the letter. He couldn't concentrate now. He couldn't stop thinking about what Jade had written.

"We've got a plan," Fred said when Draco went back to their flat. "George will take Polyjuice potion, then go to Mr. Lias' workplace and talk to him."

"That won't work, he won't talk to strangers. They haven't even told my father about it and he's her Godfather," Draco said with disappointment. "She's getting married tomorrow and I don't even know where she is."

Hours and hours passed. Draco was exhausted. Ron was even taking a short nap. It got dark again and this time Draco stayed to help but time was running out.

The next morning, Ron made the room extra light with a weird object. He claimed it was a Deluminator, he could suck in any light and make a room dark and then return the light.

But this time Ron claimed he could actually hear a voice coming from the object, Jade's voice. The other three looked at him as if he had lost his mind, probably from tiredness based on Fred.

"Listen! Can't you hear it? It's Jade's voice!" Ron told them, ignoring their comments. "I'm one hundred percent sure it's her!"

He put his hands under the little ball of light and told Draco to look at it. As he gave in and looked closer, he saw a foggy dark figure standing out from all the light around the figure.

"Holy shit!" Draco exclaimed and that made the twins look at each other a bit amazed and also approached Ron and the object and looked close at the ball of light.

Draco got even closer and the foggy, dark figure could finally be recognised. It was Jade in an unknown room looking at her wedding dress that was hanging in front of her, next to a huge mirror. He could actually hear her cry and his heart broke into several tiny pieces.

Then the ball moved, and the four of them followed it. It was crazy. Then something even crazier happened. The ball sort of sucked Ron in, who quickly grabbed Fred, who grabbed George, who grabbed Draco and the ball of light sucked them all in. Draco could feel they were moving fast, it wasn't as unpleasant as apparating but it was making him nauseous.

Then they found themselves in the countryside. No idea where exactly. But they knew they were in the right place as within a minute or two, they spotted Lexion Lias wearing fancy clothes. They all hid quickly.

"What's the plan?" George asked.

"Plan?" Draco asked.

"I suppose there will be at least ten Death Eaters in there, we need a plan. I got some of this Instant Darkness Powder from Peru... It will make everything pitch dark for several seconds, we can find and get her quickly but we need to plan what to do before and after that. We have to make it count, those seconds we will have the advantage because of the powder, we can't waste them or make a mistake."

They eventually decided to go on pairs looking for her before she even made it to the mini church, so it would be easier and hopefully faster. Draco went with Ron, and the twins went together.

"Weasley... when we save her... because we will... would you take her with you?" Draco asked and Ron gulped. "She'd be safer with you. Do you realise she can't go to Hogwarts again? Her father will try to get her again... and this, what we will do today, will probably mean she'll be disowned. She will not be safe at Hogwarts… or with me."

"Being with me is not exactly safe."

"It's safer, though."

"Okay, if she wants to come, I will look after her."

Unfortunately, they didn't find Jade anywhere, but almost bumped into Bellatrix Lestrange. She could be Draco's aunt but he wasn't supposed to be there and she wasn't dumb, she would know something was up.

The four of them met at a corner where it was less likely to be spotted. Fred found a little hole where he could see what was going on. People were apparating inside there.

"I see Lexion Lias with his wife. I guess those two next to them are her parents. I see Perseus' parents. I recognise his father from the Daily prophet. I see the three Lestranges too."

"I see Jade's Greek family," Draco said as he took Fred's place. "Rita Skeeter. Three Blacks. My mum's cousins. And four Death Eaters guarding every corner. Her parents aren't there, can't see them."

George kept looking then, to see any changes and alert the rest, ten minutes later he announced Raven Lias had apparated and sat next to Olisca. Lexion was the best man and was standing next to Cassius. George understood they were always best friends since they were little kids, so it made sense he was the best man but he also wondered how he could be okay with what was really going on! His little sister was being forced to marry against her will.

"There! Jade just apparated with her father. She's walking down the aisle."

"Okay, let's go then!" Fred said.

But when they tried they couldn't. Several protective charms had been put around the church. The twins and Draco, who actually knew stuff, tried to break them. Ron just stood there, making sure no one spotted them.

Then, they could actually feel it, the protective charms had been broken. They looked at each other with smiles and then they all rushed in.

"Speak now or forever hold your speech..." Draco heard when he finally walked into the church. He stopped dead in his tracks.

All the guests looked at him and his companions, who didn't bother to be silent, they just stormed in. Finley Lias stood up quickly and turned around to face them, he looked ready to murder someone, Cass looked shocked at the four guys, he knew them all even when he didn't really talk to them. He knew the twins too well because of Quidditch. And Jade... Jade seemed unaffected, unshocked. She didn't seem happy to being seeing them, or angry or sad or anything at all.

"I guess i oppose," Draco said with a shrug and a mischievous smile. "Jade, come on."

"Jade, stay where you are," Finley said and Jade did as she was told.

It was then when Draco realised why Jade seemed so unaffected and why she wasn't moving, it wasn't because she was scared but because she was under the Imperius Curse.

Before Draco could anticipate it, the four death eaters guarding each corner were shooting spells at them. They could only defend themselves, they had been taken by surprise.

"Now," Fred exclaimed.

George threw in the air the Instant Darkness Powder making the room completely dark, only the four of them could see where they were going and what was going on. Fred and George used 'Petrificus Totalus' on the four guards and Ron stupefied Finley, Bellatrix and Raven, while Draco used the confusing spell on Cassius and Lexion. Then Draco got to Jade, she didn't move as he anticipated.

She made her faint, she grabbed her and carried her. Once the Powder was starting to lift, Rabastan who seemed to be on their side, actually shot some curses at the people who were still conscious. The five of them made it out with Jade.

"Go! And look after her," Rabastan exclaimed, who had gotten fond of her niece. "I'll make sure no one follows you. Hurry!"

The four of them ran away from the church and then when they were about seven hundred feet away, they all grabbed each other's hands, George held Ron's, Ron held Fred's and Fred held on to Draco's arm while he embraced Jade tightly so she wouldn't fall and they disapparated. Draco held Jade even closer to him as he felt like she was slipping from his arms.

Draco opened his eyes and found himself on an island. The strong sound of waves alerted him that they had reached their destination. He laid Jade on the ground and then woke her up with a spell. She opened her green eyes and looked around, it was obvious she wasn't under the Imperius Curse anymore. She looked confused but somewhat relieved.

"Draco!" she exclaimed with a smile as he sat up and then hugged him tightly.

"We are here too, you know," Fred complaint.

"Of course."

Jade stood up and went to hug the twins and then with a shocked expression hugged Ron, who blushed a bit. Draco, who now had some time to relax a bit, could see now how beautiful she looked. Her hair had been curlied a bit and done a nice hairstyle on the back. Her white dress was just gorgeous and suited her. She seemed to be noticing the dress as well, she looked at herself and then at her surroundings.

"What happened?" she asked, horrified. She looked down at her hands, she looked at her left hand, looking for a ring. There was nothing there. "What happened!?

"Nothing," Draco assured her.

"Why am I wearing a wedding dress?"

"You don't remember?" Ron asked, confused.

"Remember what?"

"We will explain soon," George told her kindly, Jade was on the verge of tears. "But like Malfoy said, nothing really happened. There is no time to explain right now."

"So, what now? What do we do?" Ron asked.

Draco looked nervous, his relaxing time didn't last much, he knew what he had to do and he was ready but he knew Jade wasn't but did she have any choice? He didn't want to put Jade in that position.

"Jade... this is not how I imagined I would ask you and I promise one day it will be different, I swear... but, would you marry me?" Draco asked. "Like, right now?"

Jade gasped, not expecting it. She was confused and disorientated, and now Draco was proposing to her, she looked as if she wasn't understanding anything. The twins looked at each other with shocked expressions and Ron's mouth opened wide.

"Draco... you don't have to..."

"I want to," Draco said quickly.

"Draco, this is not how I imagined I'd be saying yes but yes," Jade said with a small smile.

"We've got a problem though," Ron said quickly.

"What?" Draco asked.

"Jade's underage, doesn't she still have the trace on her? And her mother works for the Ministry, it wouldn't take long for them to know where we are. I think we need to move."

"She hasn't used any magic, she was unconscious when we apparated here, I think we are good," Fred said. "But it wouldn't be a bad idea to move, just in case."

"There's something else," George said quickly. "We don't have a priest."

"Right," Fred said. "We'll be right back."

Both twins disapparated, leaving Ron, Draco and Jade behind. Before they could even ask anything, the twins were back. George with three broomsticks and Fred with the priest of the wedding.

"They were all still unconscious," Fred said. "Including him, had to wake him up."

"Rabastan helped us by giving us the brooms! We've got to hurry now. Come on!"

George and Ron, got on one broom, Draco and Jade on another and Fred on the last one with the priest. They didn't know where they were going, they were just following Fred, who seemed to know the way, even when it seemed they were going nowhere, as below them there was only the sea.

They landed on this isolated area on this other island. The weather wasn't as nice, it was very windy there and it seemed as if the temperature had dropped.

"Where are we?" Ron asked.

"Isle of Wight," Fred and George said at the same time.

Jade wrapped her arms around her, she was cold and she looked lost. She still had no idea what had happened and what was going on. She didn't know why the twins and Ron were with Draco, and why Ron wasn't with Harry. The last thing she remembered was going to sleep, worrying about going to Hogwarts or escaping. But that was it.

She looked at the priest and she could only guess what had happened and the urgency of everything. Draco would have never asked her to marry him immediately, while she was still sixteen, if it wasn't urgent to do so.

"Are you sure? I don't want to ruin your life, Draco," Jade told him. She felt extremely guilty for putting him in that position. She felt like it was her fault.

"I am sure, Jade. I wish it could be different but one day we will remarry and do it right. I wish it could be done without this pressure but I want to do this," Draco said, pecking her forehead.

"Wait... she can't get married. She's sixteen," Ron said quickly.

"Actually, I brought the documents signed by Finley and Raven Lias so yes, she can get married but I don't understand why she must get married now," Fred said.

"Because if her father finds her he will force her to marry Cassius. If she's already married she can't marry him. It's the only way."

Draco and Jade went to stand in front of the priest who seemed to be confused about what was going on. Fred had his wand pointed at him in case he tried to escape.

"Wait, Jade, can we talk?" Ron said, interrupting the unexpected wedding.

"I haven't asked if someone opposes," the priest said, annoyed.

"What do you want, Weasley?" Draco asked, irritated.

"It will only be a moment."

Ron pulled Jade aside, her green eyes filled with curiosity. Ron scratched the back of his neck and took a deep breath.

"You don't have to marry Malfoy to escape Cassius. What if you marry me?" Ron asked and Jade opened her eyes wide in shock, well, that was even more unexpected. He had never seen Jade so surprised. "I mean, we wouldn't be a normal married couple. If you like Draco I wouldn't mind if you dated him. What I'm trying to say is that you might be rushing this."

"Because we need to rush it. But, wouldn't it be the same thing if I marry you?" Jade asked, confused.

"No, because you haven't been my girlfriend. We don't have that kind of feelings towards each other. We would only marry so you don't have to marry Perseus but if you marry Malfoy is different because you do have feelings for him and he does for you, you dated before... what if eventually those feelings just end?" Ron asked. "You would be stuck with him, forever."

"What is that supposed to mean? Why are you telling me this?"

"Are you done there?" Draco yelled at them.

"One minute!" Ron yelled back and then looked back at Jade.

"So?" Jade asked.

"Well, I just think that marrying him might not be the greatest idea. And I still think you should give Harry a chance. He really likes you. Don't look at me like that, it's true. I think you two belong together," Ron said. "And I saw it... I saw when he kissed you. I was looking from the window. If you marry me, I wouldn't mind if you dated him... or if you dated Malfoy to be honest... but if you marry him, he would mind, because he has feelings for you."

"I get your point, Ron. But I won't ruin your life, what if you want to get married to the love of your life in a few years? You wouldn't be able to and the thing with Harry is that maybe we do belong together, who knows? And I might like him but I think it's too late for us. And I love Draco, we have already talked about it. This is the right thing, Ron."

"You sure?" Jade nodded.

Jade smiled at Ron, hugged him tightly and went to stand next to Draco again. The priest started talking but Jade didn't pay much attention. She was busy looking at the sea in front of them, and from time to time at Draco. She was lost in her thoughts.

Millions of thoughts went through her head, she was actually getting married at sixteen, it was crazy but it was real. It was happening. But the man next to her wasn't Cass, it was Draco. That made it all bearable and less tragic.

Draco took out the ring he had given her a few days ago and put it in her finger. He whispered to her that Ilvie had given it to him along with some other stuff. Jade smiled.

"Now I pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride."

Draco smiled wide and leant in. He kissed her softly on the lips and Jade couldn't help but smile. She had married her best friend. The twins cheered the loudest, but she could also hear Ron. He pulled away and he had never looked as happy.

Fred, George and Ron signed as witnesses, and then Draco and Jade signed. She had written Jade Leonie and was about to write Lias when she stopped. She turned to look at Draco and he nodded. She then wrote Malfoy, which felt really odd.

Then, Fred used a spell to confuse the priest so he wouldn't say a word to anyone, even under the Cruciatus curse and then took him away, nobody asked where. Once Fred was back, the three Weasleys gave them a few minutes to talk in private.

"Remember, the night after tomorrow, you have to do the thing," Jade whispered to Draco. "I left a vial of the potion before what happened. Ilvie will give it to you and you've got the instructions of what to do now. I'm sorry we couldn't do it together."

"It's okay," Draco said sadly, understanding she couldn't go back with him. "What if... I drop out and stay with you?"

"No, finish school, Draco. At least one of us has to do it. I've written a letter to Snape, saying I'm making you the new Quidditch captain. Give it to him, please. And I've got another letter for Ginny, would you give it to her? I'll get you after school is over, okay? Stay safe."

"You stay safe!"

Draco's eyes suddenly filled with tears. Jade had to look away to not break down right there. With the tears and the reflection of the sea and the grey cloudy sky above them, Jade's eyes for once, looked a bluish green colour, making them look more like a mid-grey than green.

"I'll see you soon, okay?" Jade said as she put a hand over his cheek and caressed it. "I love you."

"I love you too, Jade," he said and pecked her lips. "Just don't die."

"I won't if you don't. Now go."

Draco thanked them all and then turned to look at the twins, and asked them how much he owed them for helping him rescue Jade. Fred and George grinned. He was willing to give them any amount they asked.

"Let me think," George said and then turned to look at Fred. Both of their smiles were idental.

"Nothing," Fred said after a moment. Draco looked confused, their smiles just got wider. "Just a favour."

"Name it."

"Keep an eye on our sister, we heard she got into trouble."

"I will," Draco assured them.

Fred and George disapparated first and then Draco, leaving Ron and Jade behind. Narcissa rushed to the hallway when she heard Draco, she was exhausted and worried, her concern was all written over her even paler face.

"Where have you been?" Narcissa asked. She hadn't slept at all, she had been looking for him everywhere. Her hair was messy and her eyes were red from not sleeping.

"Honestly, I have no idea," Draco told her. Now that he was back he was feeling the exhaustion from all the work he had put into his mission. "The countryside, somewhere. I found her, mother. I found Jade."

"Is she okay?" Narcissa asked at once.

"Yes, I got her out. She's with a friend now. Mother... they had used the Imperius curse on her so she would marry Cassius and not try to escape or anything. How sick is that? She didn't even remember it! Imagine waking up and being married to someone and not remembering it!"

"I admit it's quite sick. Go rest, you look terrible, Draco. We'll get you to Hogwarts later. I'll tell Severus you were terribly sick. He'll understand." Draco nodded. "Now go, sleep a bit. And, Draco?"

"Yes, mother?" Draco asked, he was on the very first step of the stairs, heading to his bedroom. He turned around to face his mother.

"You are such a brave young man and I'm so proud of you!"

Draco smiled, feeling his eyes watering. He never thought he would be told those words by either of his parents.

"Thank you mother," Draco muttered, trying not to cry. "Now, you go and rest as well. You need it."
