I don't own Total Drama and The Walking Dead.
Sorry if you find any grammar mistakes. I'm still learning English because it's not my first language.
Brendan: Here you go :)
Dr Changer: I hope that I'll get as much seasons of TWD done in this story as I can. :)
Here you go (I mentioned more major changes in the characters):
Duncan: He is showing his nicer side more than he did in the show. (Like searching for Sophia just as much as Daryl did and forming a close friendship with our favourite redneck and Carol in the process, or making amends with Harold back in season 2.)
Chris: He is no longer the sadistic host from the show (because it was just the person he was playing for the ratings and the views) and cares about the people in his group. (He is one of Rick's closest allies at this point.)
Heather: She is not the bitchy as she used to be in the show (Which was caused by Tyler giving his life to save hers back when Hershel's farm was invaded by the undead)
Courtney: She is not as bitchy and controlling as she used to be in TDA. (Like when she was understanding to Duncan when he mentioned that one of the reasons why he broke up with her was because she was becoming too controling)
Izzy: She is not acting as crazy as she did in the show. (The world turning into what it is today and later Owen's death caused her behaviour change into a less crazy one.)
DJ: He is not scared easily like he was in the show (Like when after Rick and Chef killed Dave and Tony and were visited by their buddies, he used his body to block the door when they were trying to enter the bar)
Tyler: He became much more serious person after Lindsay died back in Atlanta and was willing to protect the people from his group from sharing the fate of his beloved one which ultimately led to him sacrifing his life to save Heather, even though many questioned his methods back on the farm (like when he was clearly angry with Rick doing what Hershel told him to, like giving up their weapons, or keeping the undead in the barn)
Katie (Yes, I know she was only mentioned, but I thought it was worth mentioning): She was no longer the happy and cheerful girl she was in the show which was caused by Sadie's death at the start of it until she met her end when one of Triaz's men shot her in the head.
Noah: She is still his sarcastic self which we all know and love, but is willing to help out more in the group (Like when he, his big buddy Owen (RIP), and Ezekiel and Izzy when she wasn't out hunting with Daryl and Duncan, or going out to search for for the supplies and the baby stuff with Gwen, Glenn and Maggie before Merle took them to the Governor)
I wish I could mention more in the characters that I just mentioned and in the ones that I didn't mention, but spoilers.
One day has passed since the Governor and Rick met each other in person and discussed what they should do with the situation their groups found themselves in. Andrea and Courtney exited their home and walked into the streets of Woodbury. They walked together for a ew moments before they spotted Jose, Martinez, Shumpert, Terry, Ben, and Allen loading weapons into the Humvee. Wondering what they were doing, they started to make their way towards them.
"You." Martinez pointed at Allen, "Grab the 50."
Allen nodded, "Got it."
Milton approached them, "The Governor wants all of this?"
"He wants options." Martinez explained.
"Where is he, now?" Milton wanted to know.
"He's busy with something." Jose answered.
Milton nodded his head before asking another question, "How many are going out?"
"Everyone." Jose replied as Allen and Ben came out of the armory, carrying a 50 cal machine gun, "He wants everyone to be at their positions when we'll arrive."
Shumpert and Terry took the .50 from them, intending to attach it on the pickup as Andrea and Courtney made their way to them, eyeing everyone curiously, the latter saying, "I thought there was a deal on the table."
Andrea nodded, "So did I."
"I'm sure it's just a precaution." Milton lied, as he started to walk away from them, avoiding Andrea's and Courtney's gaze, "A show of force."
The Governor entered the room where not that long ago Merle and Jose interrogated Glenn, Gwen, Noah and Maggie, carrying a bag in his right hand. He placed it on the table and started pulling out everything he brought to this room, placing all of the devies on the table next to the bag, debating which device he was going to use first on Michonne after he'll get his hands on her.
He paused for a second and turned around and saw Milton standing in the entrance to the room. The glasses wearing man was silent for a few seconds before turning towards the exit and starting to walk out of the room.
"Milton!" He cried out to the glasses wearing man who stopped walking, his back facing Philip, "You need something?"
Milton turned around to look at him, his voice was a bit shaky when he asked, "What's that?"
"It's my workshop." The Governor answered, plain and simple.
"How does that help Woodbury?" Milton wanted to know.
The Governor wanted to be sure if he didn't misheard it, "Excuse me?"
"This was supposed to be a new start, a way out." Milton began as the Governor started approaching him, "What about everything we talked about? Beating this thing? Clawing our way back? Look, this business with Michonne, I understand. But the people at the prison..."
"What?" Philip cut Milton off, stopping in front of him "I should move on?"
Milton nodded, "Yes."
"Well, I will as soon as this is over." Philip assured him.
"Philip..." Milton tried to convice him, but was once again cut off.
"Let me ask you something, huh?" He asked him, "Do you still believe the biters have some spark in them, huh? Of who they were?"
Milton gave him an uncertain nod, "I think so."
"Then that was my daughter, wasn't it?" The Governor asked him another question..
"Whether that was Penny or not, it's done." Milton stated, "It doesn't matter."
The Governor placed his hand on Milton's shoulder. His tone was so cold when he said, "It's all that matters."
He gave him a small slap on the cheek before turning away from him and entering the room again.
Milton let out a sigh when he walked out of the building where the Governor was preparing the room for Michonne. He tried to do it. He tried to convice the Governor to not do it, and to leave Rick and his group alone and move on from everything that happened since Merle brought Glenn, Maggie, Gwen and Noah to Woodbury, but he was refusing to listen. He knew that had to tell Andrea and Courtney. He had to tell them about it.
His eyes finally caught the sight of Andrea and Courtney. He approached them and declared, "There is no deal. Philip's asked for Michonne."
Courtney looked at him, confused, "What?"
"Back when he and Rick had a meeting, he asked him for Michonne." Milton explained.
"Rick would never agree to that." Andrea stated, to which the CIT nodded in agreement.
"Whether he hands her over or not, he's gonna kill them all." Milton declared, not wanting to hide to the truth from them.
"We have to stop this." Andrew said. She and Courtney were shocked by the news they got just from Milton, "There has to be a way..."
"I don't think either of you can." Milton shook his head, "I'll show you."
He moved away from them, beginning to walk towards the building from which he came out a few minutes ago. Andrea and Courtney exchanged a look with each other before following him into the building. It didn't took them long to get there. Milton led them straight to the upper level of the interrogation room which gave them a pretty good view of the Governor preparing everything for Michonne, unaware that he was being watched.
Courtney and Andrea made sure to eye the room carefully, to not miss anything that the Governor prepared for their friend. An old dental chair which two pairs of handcuffs attached to it was placed in the middle of the room and all kinds of sharps tools laid on the table behind it.
"Leave, both of you." Milton whispered to them, "Tell the people at the prison to get out of there. In time, he'll move on."
Courtney clenched her hand into a fist and gritted her teeth, feeling an urge of killing the Governor the next time she'd see him. Even though she never killed anyone, she felt a massive urge to kill him. She couldn't believe how stupid she was for believing that he was a good man and a caring leader. She now regretted staying in Woodbury instead of heading out with Michonne and realized how big of a mistake it was.
Her friend was having the same thoughts as she said, "No. I have to kill him."
"We both have to do it." the CIT agreed with her.
"You'll never get close to him." Milton attempted to convice them to leave, "They'll gun both of you down first."
"Only if they see us coming." Andrea pointed out and shook her head, "Milton, this is sick."
"I can't just stand back and watch this. How can you still protect him?" Courtney wanted to know, "He doesn't care about you."
"I knew Philip before he became the Governor." Milton said, "That man still exists. Killing him won't save your friends."
"Then we have to go back. Warn them." Andrea told him, "And you're coming with us."
Milton shook his head, "I can't leave Woodbury."
"What?" Courtney asked him. "You really want to be a part of this? You're a good man, Milton. You should come with us."
"I don't know anyone at the prison." Milton pointed out.
"You know Merle. He fit in." Andrea pointed out in return.
"And our group hated him back when he was with us all those months ago." Courtney added to which Andrea nodded in agreement, "You'll be fine."
"Like it or not, I belong here." Milton declared, firmly.
Andrea sighed, realizing that she and Courtney won't be able to convice him to come with them to the prison as the CIT told the glasses wearing man, "If this what you choose, then take care of yourself."
She and Andrea exchanged one last silent look with Milton, before heading out of the building, entering the streets. They started to head along the road, passing by Martinez and Shumpert who were busy with something but neither the lawyer and the CIT cared enough to know at this moment. They hoped that won't get spotted by them, but unfortunely, Martinez managed to spot them.
"Girls!" He yelled out to them, causing them to stop walking. He came closer to them, "Governor wants all weapons collected. Got to get the team geared up."
"Give up our weapons?" the CIT asked him, which Martinez nodded in confirmation, "Don't you think that me and Andrea will be more useful with weapons?"
"Hand over your piece and any ammo." Martinez ordered as Shumpert came over to his side.
Andrea shook her head, "No."
"Let's not be stupid about this." Martinez stick with his recent order, "Hand over your piece."
Andrea and Courtney exchanged a look with each other, knowing that leaving Woodbury might be much harder without their pistols before removing their holsters and handing them out to Martinez and Shumpert. The two men didn't waste time and quickly took the holsters from them, before turning around and going back to whatever they were doing a few seconds earlier.
"I should have told both of you about all this." The voice which both of them knew pretty well at this point spoke up. They turned to the source of it and saw the Governor, "I'm sorry. I want to keep both of you separate from this. Safe."
Andrea nodded her head, "Yeah."
"We just want to help." Courtney added, lying.
"Well, you can." The Governor declared, his gaze set on Andrea, "Tomorrow. I want you with us when we go and meet Rick. He tries anything, you can talk some sense into him."
Courtney titled her head, "Tries anything?"
The Governor turned his gaze towards the CIT, "Well, you trust them, I don't."
"Undestood." Andrea smiled, making to sure to make her smile look as real as she could, "We'll be there."
The Governor offered both of them a smile before walking off to do his own thing. Andrea and Courtney turned in the direction in which he went, making sure that he was in safe distance away from them, not wanting to raise any suspicions, before starting to make their way towards the gates on the other side of Woodbury, hoping that the area around them will less busy than the one they are on right now.
It didn't took them long to get there. Only a few minutes, and much to their relief there wasn't much people there. Tyreese and Sasha who were guarding the walls were the only two people that were there.
"Hey!" Andrea shouted, as Tyreese and Sasha turned around to look at her and Courtney, "Large pack of walkers was spotted heading for the main wall. Martinez and Jose wants some help. We got this covered."
"We're not supposed to leave this post." Tyreese answered, glancing down at them.
"Ask either Martinez or Jose." Courtney told him and Sasha, "We're just doing what they told us to do."
"You got to bring one of them over." Tyreese explained, "We need to hear it from either of them."
The CIT sighed, "You're wasting time."
"Why can't you handle it?" Sasha asked, "You're supposed to be a good shot."
Andrea and Courtney shared a look with each other, knowing that they were wasting their time right now. They walked over to the ladder leading to the top of the truck standing in front of the gate and started climbing up.
"What are you doing?" Tyreese wanted to know.
Andrea's answer was short, "Leaving."
"Nobody leaves." Tyreese pointed out.
"We don't want any trouble." Courtney told them as she just made her way to the top, followed by Andrea.
"What is this about?" Sasha asked them.
Tyreese grabbed Andrea's hand who in response pulled out a small knife, "Don't."
Courtney responded by pulling out her own knife, "We just want to leave. Let us go."
"Relax." Tyreese said, letting go off Andrea's hand, "Nobody's got to get hurt here."
Andrea sighed and lowered her knife, "I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry too." Courtney added, lowering her knife as well, "We just want get out of here."
"Why?" Tyreese asked them.
"The Governor, he is not what he seems to be." Andrea explained.
"He seems pretty straight up to me." Sasha stated.
"We were once in your place. We thought that the Governor was a good man when we arrived here but we were wrong." Courtney told Tyreese and Sasha, "He has done terrible things and is planning much worse."
"We've got to get out of here and you should, too." Andrea added, earning nod of agreement from the CIT.
"Look, you're rattled, exhausted." Tyreese tried to convice them not not leave, "Just put the knife down."
Andrea shook her head, "We're still going."
"Keep our words in mind." Courtney added, "If you don't leave, you'll find out soon what kind of a man he is."
Tyreese remained unresponsive for a few seconds, debating with himself what he should do in this situation before nodding his head, "...Okay."
This was the only answer Andrea and Courtney had to get. They jumped off the wall, landing on the ground. They pushed themselves into run and started heading away from the Woodbury, beginning to head towards the prison.
Tyreese and Sasha knew they couldn't just pretend as if Andrea and Courtney leaving Woodbury never happened. They had to tell the Governor about it. They made their way off the wall right after the lawyer and the CIT disappeared from their view and started searching the Governor, intending to tell him about what just happened.
Several minutes later, they found themselves standing in the armory with the Governor, Jose and Martinez where they explained everything to them and Martinez wasn't afraid to voice what he thought about this situation, "You should have stopped them."
"Stop them how?" Tyreese asked him, "Shoot them in the back?"
"No, you did the right thing." The Governor told Tyreese and Sasha, offering the latter a quick pat on her back, "Thank God neither of you were hurt."
"We stand on that wall to stop biters, not keep people in." Tyreese pointed out, "This isn't a prison camp, is it?"
Jose shook his head, "Of course not."
"It's just they're in no shape to take care of themselves." The Governor added.
"They seem pretty capable to me." Sasha stated.
"They were out there all winter alone. Can you imagine?" Philip began, "Now, you two had each other or your friends. They only had the biters. We brought them in and tried to help them, but it was too late. They'd been out there too long."
"Did they said anything?" Jose asked right after Philip was done with speaking, "It took us a while to earn their trust, and even longer to get them used to leaving in a community like this one. Maybe something scared them off."
Tyreese exchanged a look with his sister before shaking his head, "No. I hope this doesn't affect us. We heard she was with that prison group. I hope I didn't complicate things."
"No." Philip gave him an assuring nod,, "Martinez here could use a hand with something. If you wouldn't mind helping him out, I'd appreciate it. "
Tyreese nodded, "Of course."
"Jose, stay here." Philip said to the young spanish man, "We need to talk in private."
Jose nodded his head in understand as Tyreese, Sasha and Martinez all came out for the armory. He was silent for a few seconds after that, before asking, assuming what the Governor was going to ask him to do, "Should I go after them?"
"Yes." Philip replied, "Take someone with you."
"Will do." Jose nodded his head in return, understanding his new orders, "I'll bring them as soon as I can."
Philip responded with a nod of his own before Jose walked over to the exit from the armory and walked out of it. He looked around himself, trying to spot anyone that could help him on his new mission before spotting Terry in the distance.
He walked over to him, "Hey, Terry."
The dark skinned man looked at him, "What is it?"
"We're heading out, just both of us." Jose explained, "I'll fill you in once we'll head out."
Right after their meeting with the Governor, Martinez led Tyreese and Sasha to the main gate of Woodbury. There was one thing that the Governor ordered him and Jose to do before Tyreese and Sasha came over to them and informed them that Andrea and Courtney fleed from their community.
"Hey." He called out to Shumpert, Ben, and Allen who stood on the top of the wall, "Be ready to roll in a few."
"Where to?" Tyreese asked him as Shumpert, Ben and Allen started coming down from the wall, "We're not going after those girl, are we?"
"What if we were?" Martinez asked him in return, "Is that a problem?"
"They were pretty shook up." Tyreese pointed out, "They definitely didn't want to be here."
"Look, she's on her own, understood?" Martinez responded, earning uncertain nods from both Tyreese and Sasha, "We got something else. It's sort of hard to explain. Just be at the truck in five."
"What about Jose?" Shumpert asked, starting to head towards the truck with Martinez "He was supposed to come with us."
"The Governor wanted to talk with him in private." Martinez explained, "I'm sure that he'll join us if he didn't receive new orders."
Shumpert nodded in understanding, "Alright."
"What girls?" Allen asked Tyreese and Sasha while Martinez and Shumpert got themselves into the truck.
"Andrea and Courtney jumped from the wall." Sasha explained.
"You let them go?" Allen wanted to know. When Tyreese and Sasha nodded in confirmation, he said, "Hey, man, these guys have been talking. These two, they're nothing but trouble."
"Maybe they're not the issue." Tyreese stated, turning his gaze towards the truck to make sure that Martinez and Shumpert weren't going to hear him, "They said some pretty crazy shit."
"You know why, because she's crazy." Allen said, without even wanting to know what Tyreese had to say to him and his son, "Don't screw this up for us. We got a good thing here. I don't want to get tossed out because of you. These guys are on edge. They've been attacked by that crazy-ass cowboy and some chick with a sword. Shit's going down and you're making waves. We just have to get with the program."
"Going with the program includes killing Geoff, Trent and Eva?" Tyreese asked him.
"I already made that clear." Allen answered, "They decided to stay with that psycho instead of going with us. What is going to happen to them in that prison is their own fault."
"Yo!" Martinez called out to them from the truck, "I said five. Let's go!"
Allen send Tyreese a quick glare before heading towards the truck, followed by Tyreese, Sasha and Ben. They all got themselves into the vehicle and drove off wherever Martinez and Shumpert were planning to take them.
Courtney and Andrea couldn't remember the last time when they ran so fast. It was probably back when they were left behind on the farm and were forced to flee into the forest. They proceeded to run through the road when they heard someone driving in their direction, causing both of them to stop. They instantly assumed that the Governor must have found out about their escape and send someone to catch them and bring them back to Woodbury.
They quickly fleed into the woods, and hid behind the trees, waiting for whoever was driving to drive past them. They made sure to keep their gaze on the road to see who was driving. Their worst suspicions turned out to be true when the familiar truck drove through the road, Jose and Terry who were inside failing to notice them. They drove past them, completely unaware that their targets were so close to them.
Andrea was about to leave her cover when one walker grabbed her from behind and pinned her against the tree, as all of the walkers that were nearby started making their way towards the lawyer and the CIT.
"I'll be fine." Andrea told Courtney, trying to free herself from the undead's grasp, "Take care of the walkers in front of us."
Courtney nodded her head and pulled out her knife, before heading towards the undead in front of them as Andrea grabbed the hand of the walker pinning her against the tree and twisted it, freeing herself from the undead's grasp. She stepped away from the walker before grabbing it's hand, once again and slamming it against the tree, breaking it.
She pulled out her knife and quickly placed it right through the brain of the walker, killing it immediately. When she turned her gaze away from the now dead walker towards Courtney, she saw that the CIT already cleared out the area around them.
They exchanged a look with each other before breaking themselves into run again.
They had to hurry.
Martinez, Shumpert, Tyreese, Sasha, Allen and Ben had just arrived at the walker pits where Woodbury was collecting walkers. They all got themselves out of the truck and approached the pit, seeing that the pit was filled with the undead.
"You got a use for them?" Sasha asked Martinez and Shumpert.
"Honey, we got a use for everything." Martinez answered.
"This got something to do with that meeting tomorrow? The one with the prison group?" Tyreese wanted to know, hoping that it wasn't what he thought it was.
Martinez nodded in confirmation, "Give this man a prize."
"You're bringing biters?" Sasha couldn't believe her ears, and neither could her brother.
"Allen, heads up." Shumpert said to Allen, throwing the line which they were going to use to get the undead out of the pit.
The bearded man caught the line without any problems and crouched down, "Okay, this is genius."
Martinez pointed at Ben, "Hey, kid, grab the collars out of the truck."
Ben nodded and headed out to get the collars as Tyreese voiced his thoughts about this plan, "This isn't right."
"Didn't think we were gonna have any problems today, fella." Martinez told him.
"I didn't think we'd be feeding people to biters." Tyreese told him in return.
Martinez shrugged, "Why do you care? They're rats."
"This is sick." Tyreese shook his head, "I'm not doing this. They got women and children. You can't do this."
Martinez rolled his eyes, "Fine, suit yourself. We get back, you tell the Governor. He'll send you packing. Send you all packing."
"There's no need for that." Allen nervously chuckled before standing up from his crouching position. He glared at the dark skinned man, "Damn it."
"Relax." Tyreese told him, "We looked out for each other. We'll do it again. We'll get out of your way if that's what you want."
"You don't speak for us." Allen said, firmly, glaring at Tyreese, "You're not sending my boy out there again. I look out for him."
"You don't want to be here?" Martinez asked Tyreese who nodded in confirmation. Sasha went over to her brother's side and nodded too, not wanting to be a part of this as well. Allen remained where he stood, agreeing with this plan, "Fine, be my guess. Shump, take these two back to the town. Let 'em do some knitting."
Andrea and Courtney let one deep breath after another, feeling how they were becoming more tired with each passing second as they walked out of the woods and found themselves on the field. They walked through the field for several minutes as both of them were too tired to run at this point when a familiar sound of an engine rang through their ears.
They turned in the direction of the sound and saw the same truck they saw earlier. They were standing in the middle of the field. It would be pretty easy for Jose and Terry to spot them and they knew they had to think fast. They quickly laid down on the ground, and waited for the truck to drive away, praying that Jose and Terry didn't spot them.
When the truck disappeared from their view, they sighed in relief, and rose up from the ground, ready to walk again, but unfortunely, they heard the truck again as it appeared in their view again only a second later and started driving through the field, towards them.
The lawyer and the CIT jumped back to their feet and started to run away from them, as fast as they could at this moment as Jose and Terry proceeded to chase them, sounding their horn at them, but unfortunely for them, but fortunely for Andrea and Courtney, their targets made it into the woods just in time which prevented Jose and Terry from chasing them in their truck.
Jose glared at the two fleeing women because he knew that he and Terry had lost them for now, but he wasn't going to give up. He started driving the area in front of the woods, hoping to find a road through the forest in which Andrea and Courtney just ran into.
The sun was already gone and the darkened sky was slowly starting to engulf everything when Andrea and Courtney walked out of the woods and spotted an abandoned warehouse in front of them. They could feel relief overcoming their bodies. Perharps they just found the place where they could just wait for another day.
Their relief turned out be to short lived when they heard Jose and Terry again and it was so loud that it was easy for them to say that the two were really close to the warehouse. They entered the warehouse just seconds before the truck stopped in front of it. Jose and Terry came out of it and entered the warehouse right after while Andrea and Courtney proceeded to make their way through it.
The warehouse was a complete mess and it was clearly abandoned long before the dead started walking. Andrea and Courtney took one step after another when they heard how Jose and Terry stopped their vehicle in front of the building and got out of it before entering the warehouse. Andrea unfortunely lowered her guard because of it and walked into an old sheld, making it collaps on the floor with a loud thud.
"...Shit." The lawyer cursed herself for pretty much giving Jose and Terry the confirmation that she and the CIT were inside of this building.
"Don't dwell on it." Courtney told her, "We need to focus on these two."
Andrea nodded, "I know."
It was just a few seconds before they heard how Jose and Terry entered where they currently were, the former speaking up to them, "Senoritas, come back with us. We don't want to harm you. We just want you bring you back to our home."
Andrea and Courtney remained silent as they continued to make their way through the building, making sure that their each step was careful, not to allert Jose and Terry as the two of them were walking next to the massive glassy wall, which was giving them a pretty good look at the room where Andrea and Courtney were currently hiding.
"Alright." Jose sighed, "You want to do this the hard way, we're doing this the hard way."
Right after those words left his mouth, he slammed the shovel which he took from the truck against the glassy wall, causing the glass to shatter into hundreds of pieces which fell on top of Andrea and Courtney who held their breath as Jose proceeded to smakk one glassy wall after one, hoping to spot his targets somewhere as Terry walked right behind him, an uncertain and hesitant look on his face.
The lawyer and the CIT waited for the two men to move away from their wall before moving further into the room as Jose smashed one last wall and entered the room along with Terry. The spanish young man dragged the end of his shovel through the floor, making noise which told Andrea and Courtney who were moving through the same room that he and Terry were nearby.
Andrea and Courtney tightened their grasp around their knives as they hid themselves behind crates, hearing how the two men searching for them moved through the room. They held their breath and readied themselves to strike back when Jose and Terry were just centimeters away from their current hiding spot. Jose stepped forward and was about to check the area where they were hiding at this moment when a crack came from the other side of the place.
The two men moved towards the place from which the sound came from as Courtney let out a short sigh of relief. They were so close to finding her and Andrea, but the CIT knew that it was no time to celebrate. They still haven't escaped them, yet. She and Andrea used the face that Jose and Terry moved away from them and left their hiding spot.
The two men made their way to their destination and saw that just a walker made the noise which caused them to move to this place. Jose turned to look at Terry and nodded his head at him. The headscarf wearing man pulled out his hatchet and placed it right in the undead's head, getting rid of it. It was too long before they saw two walkers.
Jose knew that taking care of them with his shovel would be a waste of time so he reached his free hand down and pulled his pistol out of it's holster. He aimed it at the first walker and pulled the trigger. The bullet hit the walker straight in the brain and killed it while Terry took care of the other one with his hatchet.
Courtney and Andrea heard everything what was happening as they carefully moved through the room, making sure to not make any noise which would lead Jose and Terry to them. Not everything went according to their plan because a walker came out of nowhere and lunged for Courtney who grabbed the undead by it's collar and placed her knife in it's brain.
This allerted Jose and Terry and they didn't waste anytime and started making their way towards their current position as Andrea and Courtney made their way to the doors and opened them, revealing a stairway which was filled with at least a dozen of walkers. They undead noticed their presence and started snarling at them as Andrea quickly closed the doors.
She and Courtney turned away from the dooors and saw Jose and Terry approaching them, the former saying, "We can still solve this without anyone getting hurt. You just need to come with us."
The two women just glared at him and Terry before opening the doors and entered the stairway. They hid themselves behind the doors as the undead from the stairway came down the stairs and entered the room. Jose and Terry immediately started fighting the undead off as Andrea and Courtney used this to their advantage and fleed from the building.
The next morning, Andrea and Courtney were completely exhausted from all the walking and running they done since they jumped from the Woodbury walls but they didn't care about that right now. Telling their old group about the Governors plans was what mattered to them. They were going to rest once they'd make it to the prison which was actually very close to them. It was so close that they could see it.
"We're here." Andrea smiled at her friend.
"Yes." Courtney returned her smile, "We are."
Andrea increased her pace a bit, taking the lead of the group of two and rised her right hand in the air, which was going to earn the attention of whoever was on the watch right now. At least she hoped it would.
It was when her attention was completely shifted when a loud hit followed by the sound of someone falling to the ground sounded behind her. She turned back and saw that Jose hit in the head with hisshovel. The hit was so hard that it knocked the CIT unconsciouss. Her unconsciouss body laid on the ground, her face facing the dirt.
She held her breath and took one step backwards. She tripped over a rock and fell on the ground as Jose turned his gaze towards Terry who was standing next him, looking as if he didn't knew what to do.
"We don't have all day, Terry! What are you waiting for?" The spanish young man asked Terry, with anger evident in his voice. Terry remained where he stood, a hesitant look on the dark skinned's man face, "They just tried to kill us! Do something or I will!"
Terry let out a sigh, a regretful and apologetic expression forming on his facial features as he walked over to Andrea and slammed his fist down on her head, knocking her down.
Shumpert had no idea what to think of when he spotted white smoke in the distance as he drove in the direction of the walker pits. His worst suspicions turned out be true when he stopped the vehicle in front of the smoking walker pits and the trailers where they were keeping the undead they caught the day before. The trailers were completely burned down. He didn't even had to check what happened to the walkers inside.
He clutched his AK tightly, and readied it just in case if there was someone waiting there to attack hm as he got himself out of the vehicle. He slowly made his way along the walker pit, and glanced down at the walkers in there which were burned to the crisp.
He rested his AK on his shoulder when he reached the end of the pit and let out a sigh.
The Governor was not going to like this.
Martinez just found out from Shumpert about what happened to the walkers in the pit and was on his way to tell the Governor what happened to them. He was thinking of a way how he should tell him about this because he knew that his boss was not going to like this. He was taken away from his thoughts when he saw a truck standing in front of the Governor's apartament.
He entered the building and made his way up the stairs before reaching the Governor's apartamanet. He opened the doors and walked through them, without knocking, and saw the Governor who happened to be in the middle of a conversation with Jose and Terry.
"There you are." Martinez said to Jose and Terry as the two said men and the Governor turned to look at him, "I and Shump were wondering were you two were."
"We were send to look for Andrea and Courtney." Jose explained.
"Did you find them?" Martinez asked them.
Jose was about to respond but the Governor responded for him, "They had no luck."
Martinez nodded his head, "Hate to say this, but someone barbecued the pit biters."
The Governor's expression twisted a bit, "Who?"
"Got a few shit stirrers in the bunch." Martinez answered, "Tyreese and his sister. They weren't afraid to voice their mind about this idea yesterday."
"Send them over to me. I'll be waiting for them at the armory." The Governor ordered, "Rest of the group, too."
"You got it." Martinez nodded before exiting the apartament.
Jose waited silent for several seconds, making sure that Martinez was not going to hear his question, before it, "What should we do with these two?"
"Take Andrea to the interrogation room and Courtney to Dr. Stevens." The Governor answered, "We have to make sure that nothing too severe happened to her when you hit her."
"Understood." Jose nodded his head in understanding.
"Who do you trust the most from the guards?" The Governor wanted to know, "Except for Martinez, Shumpert and Terry?"
Jose placed his hand on his chin before answering, "I'd say Jason and Cory."
"Take them with you." The Governor told him and Terry, "They're going to make sure that Courtney is not going to try anything while she'll be under Dr. Stevens' care."
Sasha paced back and forth across the armory. It's been a few minutes since she, Tyreese, Allen and Ben arrived at the armory and since then, the group of four waited for the Governor to enter the armory and have a talk with them about something. They all turned their gaze towards the entrance when someone opened it and the Governor walked in.
"We heard from Martinez that you send Jose and Terry to look for them." She said, "Did they found them."
"No." The Governor shook his head, "They hardly made it back themselves. They'll try to look again tomorrow. So I heard there was a little hang-up at the pits."
"You got a beef with Rick, that's fair enough." Tyreese told him, "But you can't be feeding his kids to biters."
The Governor started approaching the dark skinned man, "No one's feeding anyone to biters. It's just a scare tactic. It's a bluff. I'd rather scare his people into leaving us alone than engaging in another fight. I'm trying to save lives here."
"They're just for show?" Sasha wanted to be sure as the Governor stopped in front of her brother.
"You know, people are more afraid of a biter on a leash than a gun in their face." The Governor explained, "It's pretty effective."
"Then why didn't your man just say that?" Tyreese wanted to know.
"'Cause..." The Governor began, "We don't discuss tactics with people that we don't really know."
Tyreese glanced down at the floor, and sighed, before looking up at the Governor again, "Governor, look. I shoot my mouth off sometimes, but the truth is we want to stay. I saw red. It won't happen again."
"I'm glad to hear it." The Governor nodded, as he turned away from Tyreese and Sasha and took a few steps towards the exit from the armory before stopping in front of it. He turned to look at them again, "Where did you get the gasoline?"
Tyreese and Sasha looked genuinely suprised after hearing this as the former said, wanting to be sure if he didn't misheard, "Come again?"
"Doesn't matter." The Governor shook his head, realizing that Tyreese and Sasha weren't the ones responsible for burning the walkers from the pits which left him with very few suspects. Andrea and Courtney wouldn't be able to do it which left him with only one person in mind. There was one more person that was clearly not a fan of his idea of how to get rid of Rick and his group for good and how to avenge his daughter's death, "The next time you'll see Milton, tell him to come visit me."
The Governor took a sip from his half filled glass of whiskey which he poured himself after returning to his apartament. He stood up from the chair when someone entered his apartament. He set the glass on the table and looked up at the person which turned out to be Milton.
"Having a drink?" The glasses wearing man asked, walking over to him.
"It's been a stresfull day." The Governor nodded as Milton stopped in front of him.
"Are they dead?" Milton asked him another question, "Andrea and Courtney?"
"I hope not." The Governor answered, "Jose and Terry told me they haven't seen them anywhere."
Milton nodded in understanding, "It's a real shame about the pits."
The Governor crossed his arms, "You heard about them, huh?"
"I have." Milton nodded in confirmation, "I hope you find out who did it."
"Already have." The Governor glared at him.
His glare was the last thing that Milton saw before he was knocked down to the floor after the Governor reached for the whiskey bottle on the table and slammed it right on his head.
Hope it wasn't that bad. See you in another chapter.
