I was thinking along the same lines. Turning objects he wishes to summon to him into Portkeys is a good start, but Portkeys don't work quite right for what the MC needs, as I'll mention in this chapter, so there will have to be some modifications done to the spell.

Actually, I like Luna Lovegood as a character my concern was due to her joining the school years after the MC did and her not being an adult by the time the main character was ready to leave. I found a way to keep her in the running as a companion.

I figured that magical publishing would be better as even if the statute isn't compromised it might be illegal to use muggle businesses for such purposes and lots of wizards might refuse to even open a book that muggles published.

A magazine for Muggleborns to tell them the truth of the Wizarding World is a good idea and one I will add to the story. Thank you.

Alan

He can turn into all of them if he wants. All dragons are incredibly dangerous and powerful some are just more dangerous than others.

I'll save Frost Giant until after he's done with school since it's unlikely that even the Lovegoods would take children off to find them.

As for that Naruto stuff you mentioned I have no idea what you are talking about, but I'll take your word on it.

I hope you keep enjoying the story.

There are no marriage contracts in this story. Arranged marriages aren't enforced by law and arranged marriages between families are quite normal in many cultures.

There's a reason why I don't keep pets even if animals seem to like me. I don't know how to care for them.

Aizen?

The MC's illusions can be broken by magic or by something trying to occupy the physical space that the illusion seems to occupy unless the illusion is layered over something. So he can make food taste different or make people hear things without there being a source for the noise. The illusions can't hurt people directly and everyone in the wizarding world solves their problems by throwing magic at them so his illusions are not as powerful as they might seem.

Isekaid dating is not a simple issue. Our western morality and laws aren't well suited for this situation. So it will always depend on the person who has been isekaid or inserted if you want to call it that. How much time has to pass in your new life until your old life becomes nothing more than memories?

For all, we know everyone gets reincarnated we just don't remember and how can you love at all if you are immortal, knowing that unless a tragedy happens you will outlive not only your partner but also your children? Should you adapt to the life and the world you find yourself in or cling to the ideals of a civilization you're no longer living in?

I think the answer is to not dwell on it too much. There are plenty of real-life people who go around breaking our legal and moral codes for you to worry about. If you don't like the way a writer handles romance then don't read their writing.

The MC knows how to divert owls away from a person and how to hide them from easy detection. I actually do mention that the MC can't be tracked that way as he has magical spells keeping him shielded hence why all his mail goes to Godric's Hollow even when he's spending most of his time at Hogwarts.

Besides if it were that simple then Sirius Black would have been found long before he was hidden in his family home.

Having wandless magic is useful because you can lose your wand. He wants to make wand versions of his Final Fantasy spells so he can teach them to others and use them himself if he loses the bracelet that lets him use those spells. Hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

I have a way of dealing with Ron very early on.

Author Note

As mentioned before I'm skipping to the start of the MC's second year at Hogwarts because this story is already over one hundred thousand words and I have lots of ideas so best to get on with it.

Crossworlds 1 - Harry Potter - Part 18

Hiddleston Residence. Godric's Hollow.

Overall it had been a productive summer. I disliked the idea that I was grooming Luna for a role, so while away I did my best to simply be her friend and not dominate or otherwise control her in any way. This had involved us having as much fun as possible with me teaching her a bit of wandless magic without wanting anything in return.

Canon Luna does not have a pleasant childhood, to say the least, what with the dead mother, the bullying, having her property stolen, and her stay at Malfoy Manor. If I could change that then I wouldn't feel like a bad guy later on when I dragged her off across the multiverse as a companion. Besides some people were just worth looking after.

I'd also spent some time listening to informal lectures from self-proclaimed experts in the field of magical creatures. I could easily compare their information from other sources of knowledge, so as to sort out the truth from the misinformation.

Amateurs or not they'd only increased my desire to be able to take the form of the many magical creatures they'd spoken about (some of which did really exist) because many of the magical beasts had strange powers that could turn out to be useful to me someday.

Later in the summer, I went to see the dragons, and in the end, it turned out to be a good thing that I didn't try to go as John Hiddleston or bring along an illusion as children aren't allowed to at the dragon reverses. That would explain why Ron gets left behind in his first year when his parents go to visit his brother Charlie.

I'd made a small donation to the dragon preserve, one that wouldn't draw attention, but was generous enough to ensure that I could visit again one day as John Hiddleston in case they new breeds in the future and I wanted to be able to take their forms.

My plan to begin dating Tonks as Tom Hiddleston had not gone well as I'd discovered that if I went to sleep I reverted back to my base form of John Hiddleston. I'd not noticed this before because until Easter I'd always slept at the castle and before joining the school I'd been at the orphanage. Even at Easter, I'd reverted to my child form on purpose before going to bed because it was easy to relax when not using my shapeshifting powers.

This meant that if I slept with Tonks she might wake up and find a child in her bed unless I didn't sleep. That would totally freak out the trainee Auror so I'd had to turn down her offer to date and try to remain friends. Thankfully she'd been away with her parents most of the summer, enjoying one last long family holiday before her Auror work took up all of her time.

Despite the summer having finished I was fine with returning to school. Aside from the camping trip, and the weekend I spent looking at dragons at a safe distance since they only trained handlers to get close, I'd made an effort to disappear so that I could focus on the map project on my teleport object spell.

The map project was done and now I had an improved version of the Maurders's Map which showed the Chamber of Secrets, but not the Room of Requirement which I didn't think had a fixed location anyway, and one of Godric's Hollow. I planned to do one for Hogsmede as well when given the chance.

I'd seen no evidence of anyone seeking around the village to perhaps spy on me so it seemed safe to assume that if Dumbledore or the Ministry, or even the Death Eaters, had any interest in me they'd lost it. Given Harry Potter's return to the Wizarding World, it made sense that people who lose interest in me if they had any.

Due to the fact that anti-apparition wards were placed on the homes of magical humans and other magical locations, I'd turned my attention to portkeys. One of which I'd used to go visit the dragon sanctuary in Romania. An overall dull trip considering how many dragons had been about.

Portkeys could transport themselves and others over vast distances and do so accurately, they could also return to the start of the journey. Dumbledore was able to send Harry Potter to his office at the school, which is somewhere in Scotland, from the Ministry that was in Londons and they were hundreds of miles apart, with a Portkey he easily made.

Almost any inanimate object could be turned into a Portkey. As such turning items I wanted to have in my hand at a moment's notice into a collection of Portkeys seemed like it should work.

I could even alter the Portkeys so that an item I brought to hand from my backpack or a pouch would be sent to my base of operations instead of where it came from. This would allow me to turn them back into Portkeys rather easily.

Unfortunately, Portkeys are either timed or triggered by touch both of which made them united for my plans because I wanted the summoned object to appear in my hands whenever I needed them to and I wouldn't know when that would be, and I didn't want to sent back with the objects when I no needed them.

Although that feature could be very useful if I got captured since if I could summon a Portkey that would return me to where it came from as it touched my hand then I could escape even Azkaban perhaps? Not that I would want to test this.

I would have to modify the Portkeys somewhat, change how work so that I could send an object away whenever I wished without dragging myself along. That could easily be done with a verbal trigger of some kind, but how to bring an object to me if it wasn't within range of my voice? There should be a spell for that.

Plus I didn't want objects turning up my hands just because I used the name of that object in everyday conversation. I would have to give each item a code word, but I really wanted to be able to do it non-verbally as it's not exactly hard to silence someone's voice even without magic.

My Teleport Object Spell would, for now, remain on the drawing board. I needed to increase my understanding of magic

I'd not spent my entire summer either relaxing or gathering information. I'd also won a junior division duelling contest and it hadn't been much of a contest, truth be told since no one else at that level seemed to be able to cast a decent shield charm were as I could. So it had just been a matter of keeping my defences up until the witch or wizard I was facing got frustrated enough to give me an opening to attack.

No doubt the contests would prove more challenging as John Hiddleston grew older in the eyes of the wizarding world, but that was a matter to ponder later on. There were a few things that I wished to handle before I returned to the school and an epic prank to finish preparing for.

Purification rituals powerful enough to cleanse the two Horcruxes normally required certain times of the year as a prerequisite, and this was the end of summer, but there was a reason why I'd paid a fortune to the goblins for my own goblet of fire, and that was because the fancy cup didn't require me to use at a certain time of the year. Nor did I have to do anything other than light it.

I dropped the locket Horcrux into the fancy goblin-silver cup, a magical device that had cost me more than this house, and I let the oddly coloured flames do their work. It would take as long it took for the goblet's work to be done so while that went on I took out the Stone Hallow.

Before using I checked my version of the Marauder's Map so as to make sure that a certain ghost was alone. Since he was I could now deal with a minor issue.

"Cuthbert Binns," I said as I turned the stone anti-clockwise three times.

I'd been meaning to banish the spirit of the History of Magic teacher for some time. It just hadn't been important enough for me to bother with. Sending him away just before the start of term was a dick move, and no one was likely to notice until lessons started, but anything that distracted Dumbledore was a boon as it meant he would have less time to notice anything I got up to.

That should be easier from now as soon Harry Potter would rejoin the Wizarding World and along with Voldemort, who had also returned in some fashion, the two of them would occupy what little time and effort the Headmaster could spare from his duties.

The rituals I used to purify the Horcruxes took a lot of time, but they went smoothly and I had plenty of research to be getting on with. Once they were done the two Founder's relics were all nicely cleansed of any dark magic. I'd easer in this house knowing that they were dealt with as I'd been worried about having the two Horcruxes together despite me having so carefully contained them.

Once the purification rituals were complete I headed to the kitchen with the intent of finding something to eat. I discovered an owl in my dining area, it had come through an open window, and it had a parcel attached to its leg.

I took the package off the bird and it flew off without delay. I opened up the posted object and found that it was a book and not just any book. It had my name on it and a note from the publishers.

"Better go see Bagshot" advised Cortana.

I would have to.

Bagshot Residence. Godric's Hollow.

"How did you get it done so quickly?" I asked, "And why didn't you tell me?".

Once again I sat in Bagshot's kitchen enjoying tea and scones as we discussed the book she'd been working on since Easter, a book that she should have been able to finish so quickly even with the aid of magic.

"Truth be told the first part of the book is mostly what I wrote many years ago when I blamed Albus Dumbledore for what happened to my great-nephew" she admitted, "I always intended to cast some light on the wizard who in my view was the source of many of Gellert's terrible ideas. The rest was just public record and a few tidbits that you sent my way. I don't get many visitors and I'm very good at what I do, so it wasn't as much trouble as you might think".

Getting more dirt on Dumbledore hadn't been hard even if the Headmaster's brother didn't wish to talk with me. Exposing the fact that Hogwarts was in decline due to its leader having too many jobs proved to be simple enough.

"As for why I didn't say anything I was under the impression that you own the publishing company," she said "I took for granted that the book couldn't be published without your permission".

In reality, the Lovegoods and others had stakes in the company I just had overall control, but I'd left others in charge since I wasn't qualified to run a publishing firm. In retrospect that had been a slight mistake, and since it was my error I'd not taken it out on the people running the company.

"They upgraded the printer very quickly because of how eager they were to start publishing books" I mentioned.

The only magical race that I knew about that could do something like that were the dwarves who were always rather desperate for work and I'd thrown a lot of money at the project. Once it had gotten up and running, the publishers hadn't been able to resist getting started with their work.

"I sent the manuscript along just last week," Bagshot told me "I wrote to you about it".

But I'd been running about all summer or been locked up in my basement not really paying attention to the post. I had to be more careful about my projects and how they could steal away too much of my attention. I was reminded of the expression about not seeing the forest for the trees. Even Cortana hadn't realised the error, and what made me wonder how I influenced her despite the AI being the one nestled in my head.

A letter I'd gotten had informed me that the 'Life and Times of Albus Dumbledore: An Unauthorised Biography' was the first book to be published by the company and that it was actually selling rather well despite the normally pro-Dumbledore feeling in this country. Scandal always sells, otherwise, Rita Skeeter would be in another line of work.

"I've already had to put up spells to block out Howlers," Bagshot told me "I'm surprised you haven't as well".

That was because I had defences in place to keep away harmful letters. Something I mentioned to Bagshot.

"Before I go and I'll put some up for you" I promised.

She might have somewhat gone behind my back, but she'd not done from a sense of malice. She'd simply been eager.

"Mostly the book is coming off as Albus having had a misspent youth" I was told "He's not coming off as much of a villain as we'd hoped".

Not shocking given that he'd had a long time to make allies and to impress people. I'd never really thought he'd be disgraced to the point he had to retire I'd just been hoping to blacken his reputation and erode his support.

"I was contacted by the board of governors" the elderly witch let me know "They've assured me that Snape had already been suspended and that they will be running an investigation. I doubt that he'll be allowed back now".

That wasn't a shock since I'd made an illusion of Snape appear in Diagon Ally who declared himself for Voldemort. Even Dumbledore could only do so much and Snape had no alibi because he lives alone when not staying at the castle.

"Slughorn let me know that he would be teaching this year" I informed Bagshot "Given what he used to teach it's clear that the governors were already taking action".

I was sure that Dumbledore would have found some way of keeping his pet Death Eater close by if not for the fact that the book went on about how a magical terrorist was allowed near so many vulnerable children and that he was still terrorising people even it was just verbally.

"Not a surprise," said the old author "He's actually a decent teacher when compared to Snape because he allows NEWT level students into his class based on their OWL grade only. He might have favourites but he doesn't refuse to teach only the best".

You don't need everyone who brews potions to be an expert there are plenty of magic potions that even I could create without much trouble and then sell or use in some line of work, but only those with the NEWT level qualification in the subject could become Aurors for example. Part of this had to do with the classes at school becoming smaller, but that wasn't the only reason.

"Weren't you waiting for interviews about Snape?" I asked.

Bagshot sipped her tea before replying.

"In the end, there was no need for them" she answered "I just checked the records. Every year he's been teaching there have been fewer and fewer NEWT level potion students coming out of Hogwarts. The facts speak for themselves and I still have a few friends at the Ministry who have access to those records even if they aren't high enough in their positions to do anything about them".

I can't have been the only one to ever look into Snape's poor teaching. He'd been doing the job long enough for a pattern to be clearly seen.

"The governors also offered me the job of History of Magic Professor," Bagshot told me "So any future projects will have to go on hold".

This did surprise me.

"Dumbledore let you replace Binns?" I asked.

That simply didn't make any sense. I knew he was gone, but no one else should by now and who'd want to replace a teacher they didn't have to pay?

"The Headmaster is on probation, it was the governors who started planning this and then the ghost just vanished," said the author "They suspect that someone told him he might be replaced and that he just left, or he moved on even if that is supposed to be impossible. The governors found him missing this morning when they were inspecting the school and they called me right away".

Even I didn't understand how ghosts were related to the people who'd left this world and I knew more about them than most. As for the governors, I was impressed that they'd managed to solve a problem this quickly. The book must have lit a big fire under them.

"The students will be lucky to have you" I commented.

That she was coming out of retirement made sense to me since more than once she'd mentioned how much younger she felt since she'd started working again.

"Speaking off students I need to finish helping John get ready for Hogwarts," I told the new professor.

I didn't need to do any such things, but I was tired and would soon be returning to the castle as a student so it was best to get some rest.

Hogwarts Express. Platform Nine and Three Quarters.

As I got on board the train I made it look as if the illusion of Tom Hiddleston used apparition to vanish when in fact he'd never been there at all. It was very important for the two of us to be seen in public in case people started to wonder why we were never seen together.

Once I was moving down the transport I began looking into the compartments and it didn't take me long to find the Chosen One. Even for an 11-year-old, he was small a fact made all the clearer by the oversized clothes he wore. Given his appearance, I'd be willing to bet that he was not under the care of Sirus Black.

He didn't look much like a hero, and that only made me more willing to give him a chance as I didn't care much for the heroic types.

"What was that quote we discussed?" I said to Cortana.

"That's the problem with heroes, really. Their only purpose in life is to thwart others. They make no plans, develop no strategies. They react instead of act. Without villains, heroes would stagnate. Without heroes, villains would be running the world. Heroes have morals. Villains have work ethic" — Kang The Conqueror.

You don't win wars by reacting to the enemy. I'd more to destabilise the Death Eaters and their master over the last year than the so-called heroes had done in decades. Granted I had powers and information they lacked, but still, it was typical of the good guys to wait to act.

I wondered if I could break Potter of that mindset or if he was just a tool of fate and therefore doomed to play out his role. Even if there were not the case then Dumbledore would work to undermine any friendship I tried to form with Potter and frankly, I didn't care enough about the boy to even try. Still, I had made a promise.

"Are you Harry Potter?" I needlessly asked as I entered the compartment.

The boy just nodded and I took out what seemed to be an old bit of parchment.

"This belonged to your father" I explained "My cousin asked me to give it to you".

The Boy-Who-Lived looked it over, and he was understandably confused.

"Tap it with your wand and say: I solemnly swear that I am up to no good" I instructed.

He did so and the map soon appeared.

"What is it?" he asked.

"It's a map of Hogwarts that your father and his friends put together when they were at school" I explained "His friends called him Prongs, the others are Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew".

He didn't seem as blown away as I'd expected and I soon found out why.

"Oh I know about them," he told me "But Sirius didn't tell me about the map".

So he was in contact with his godfather but not in Black's care.

"My cousin somehow got his hands on it," I said "Your father taught him how it worked and once he was done studying it he told me to return it to you".

That drew the boy's attention as the train began to depart the station.

"The map needs to remain a secret as if anyone finds out you have it they will take it from you" I warned.

This was when Ron Weasly made himself known.

"Can I sit here? Everywhere is full" he said.

Which I knew to be a lie as I passed more than one empty compartment while looking for the Chosen One. The class sizes had gotten smaller over the years and the train hadn't changed size.

"We're in the middle of a private conversation" I stated.

I glared at the intruder and used a wandless bit of magic to confuse him enough into wandering off. My skill with the mind arts kept growing.

"Sorry if I drove away a potential friend," I said to Potter "But this is important. No one must ever know where you got that map from. There's not much left of your parents and they wouldn't want that map taken from you. It's not a perfect map, still, it might just save your life one day".

Or get him into trouble. Not that he really needed help with that.

"Did your cousin know my Mum and Dad?" I was asked.

I did my best not to lie.

"Not well" I answered "Your parents did teach my cousin a few things and he promised that he'd give you this map once you came to Hogwarts. You need to keep it hidden so tap it with your wand and say: Mischief Managed".

Potter did just that and then folded up the map.

"My cousin also promised to keep an eye on you, and since he can't do that I'll be around if you need some help with your homework or stuff like that" I offered "I'm a second-year Ravenclaw so I've already learned everything you're taught in your first year".

Again the boy had a question.

"Sirus, that's my godfather, told me about Ravenclaw," he said "Do you know much about the other houses?".

Perhaps they were only exchanging letters and that limited the information Sirius could impart.

"There's a singing hat that will put you into either Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, or Ravenclaw," I told him.

The child hero looked shocked.

"I thought Sirius was joking about that," he said.

Quite understandable.

"No it's quite real" I assured the lad "It will look inside your head and decide what House you belong in. Just remember that it will take your choice into account so if want to be in a certain house just think it".

I had more to say.

"People will expect you to be in Gryffindor" I let him know "It's the so-called House of the brave or the House of the reckless and rude to some. Slytherin is the worst house, the others are okay. Hufflepuff is seen as a dumping ground for people who aren't brave, smart or cunning, but I don't think that is true".

I would have spoken more on the subject if not for the door slamming open to show the frizzy-haired Hermione Granger.

"Are either of you Harry Potter or John Hiddleston?" she questioned.

Okay, I'd expected her to enquire about Potter. I was a little taken aback that she even knew my name.

"I'm Hiddleston, he's Potter," I told the witch.

She held out two letters.

"A teacher asked me to hand these out," she told us before turning to leave "Now if you'll excuse me I need to help a boy find his toad".

I didn't even need to open the letter to know who it was from. I did anyone in case I was somehow wrong.

"We've been invited to brunch," I said to Harry Potter.

Shame we were under age it had been years since I'd had a nice

Mimosa at brunch.
