September 1st

It appears that I was correct in my estimation of Master Lex's affection for Mr. Kent. Over the last few days, I have seen Mr. Kent here at the castle at all hours of the day and the night. Master Lex seems to have no problem with this, going so far as to encourage the boy's interest in many things that will serve to bring them closer together.

I was quite fascinated to watch Master Lex with his father today; it seems as though he is no longer willing to have the elder Master Luthor dictate to him, and I do believe that has been a result of his knowing the young Kent boy. I believe also that this is a change for the better, and that my ladder climbing skills may not be needed after all, despite the stories I heard from the other servants about undergarments being flung in all sorts of places.

And as a note for tomorrow, when I make the monthly grocery order, I must remember to stock up on Ty Nant. Seems young Mr. Kent has grown to like the water as much as Master Lex and I've been ordered to keep it on tap.
