A Light of Hope.
Prologue: Prelude to a Fall
I don't own anyone from Batman.
People wonder what happened to Batman, and, what happened to his partners. They were told that the dynamic trio surrendered, that they were pardoned for their 'wrongs' and set free to live their lives. The young people believe this, as they have never seen Batman and his partners, but there are still those that remember. They remember the proud Dark Knight, the brave young Robin, and the beautiful Batgirl. They remember the night these heroes disappeared, never to be seen again.
Only three people know what really happened to Batman, Robin, and Batgirl; those three are myself, my partner, and our mentor, my adopted father. I am Hurricane, the one chosen to start the tale you'll hear, a tale of hope.
The truth began when a scientist created a monster, a mixing of the most evil beings on earth. He was created to take over our world and to rule it with an iron fist. He was created to be a king, and so he was named The Master.
City by city, he conquered the world. Superheroes and their beloved cities fell. My mentor remembers watching the news as Superman was led away in chains. Finally all had fallen, except Gothem and her heroes.
The Master set his sights on Gothem, he wanted this city for his capitol.
And so began the hardest fight in our heroes lives. Every night there were battles. Gothem held out the longest, for her heroes were the last.
One day, a group of his soldiers found their way into the batcave, where Robin and Batgirl were preparing the for the next battle. They knew the odds were against them, and so they ordered Batman to leave with their 'hope'.
The soldiers hadn't reported in, apparently the wanted to better their standing with The Master. Batgirl and Robin saw the only choice they had to make, they set the self destruct in the batcave. They fought side by side, against their enemies, until the cave exploded, burying it's secrets in solid rock.
Because of their selfless bravery, the identity of the trio is still unknown. Thus, they paved the way for Batman's escape with the hope of the world, future, past, and present.
She is Sarah Hope Grayson, the daughter of two great heroes, Batgirl and Robin, Barbara Gordon and Dick Grayson. She is Angel, a light of hope. This is her story.
