22. Colors
Sally loved rainbows. They were beautiful in an incomprehensible manner, and they decorated the sky with its vibrant, brilliant colors. When she and Elias were younger, they would always go outside right after the rain had ceased to fall and play in the rain puddles, pausing long enough to admire the rainbow beautifully painted across the sky.
The enchanting young princess stood at her window; she watched the rain as it drizzled and poured down, patiently waiting for the rainbow to peek from behind the clouds and make itself known to her and the world.
Life, Sally mused, was like a rainbow, lively and full of colors that seem unreal sometimes. Some days it thundered and stormed, but she simply had to be strong and tough it out. Whenever life seemed dreary and bleak, she simply pulled out a paintbrush and gave life its colors back.
