49. Umbrella
Rainy days never lasted too long whenever they were together. The sun was always shining, and the sky was always blue with a rainbow arched across its canvas. He was always there to wipe away her tears. She made sure to quell his fears. He embraced his past, but no longer let it define him. She looked forward to a future with him in it, by her side always.
Heavy was the crown that sat on this fair princess's head, but she had a faithful knight in shining armor to shoulder the burden. He was someone she looked forward to seeing, who she loved so completely and honestly. She was the light chasing away the suffocating darkness, her love warm and her heart made of gold. He loved her in his own special way, making sure to let her know each and every day.
The princess in this story runs into her knight's arms, not the prince's. Sally Acorn ditched the plan written for her and wrote her own story instead, creating her own happy ending with the love of her life, Shadow the Hedgehog.
