As the cold rain and gusty winds hit Smallville, one man stills stands. Though he is kneeling his is enduring the weather for his friend. He didn't want this but he couldn't help that now could he. He placed the flowers near the stone. He raised his head and read the stone which he had done every year since.
The stone read.

Lived by his loving family and friends.
The figure then looked at the cards that was in the flowers. It read. Died because of his best friend's ambitions. As the man slowly got up, the rain completely soaked the man. He walked to his car. The driver quickly opened the door. Mr. Luthor, do you need a towel??
No Mercy, let me soak in my sorrows.
As Lex Luthor sat down he began to fall asleep. He dreamt of the past. The life he use to live in Smallville.
It all ended after graduation. Clark, Chloe and Pete went to Metropolis University while Lana went UCLA. Clark and Chloe both studied journalism and Pete went for broadcasting. Lana went to UCLA and did modeling on the side. Lex had persuaded Clark to minor in business so that he could work with Lex on the side. They would see each other during the summer and on vacation in Smallville. Lex on the other hand moved back to Metropolis with his dad after all of his friends had left Smallville. Clark and Chloe ran the Metropolis University newspaper as Pete play football like they did back in Smallville.
Whitney had come back after graduation and they move out to California. That's when Clark realized the his was only chasing a dream. Clark and Chloe soon started growing closer together.
It was there last year of college and Clark and Chloe had been dating for a year. Pete was off with the lady of the week. Lex had become President of LuthorCorp and had it renamed to LexCorp. although his dad was still part of the Board of Trustees.
That's when everything stared going downhill.
