Yuseke is on his way to school when Kuwabara comes out of nowhere and tells him Hiei and Kurama need to talk to him about something. So they ditch school and meet up with Hiei and Kurama. Hiei says that he senses a tremendous amount of spirit energy that belongs to an enemy of his. Hiei fought him once and barely survived. The "thing" was a mystic elf by the name of Sakamato. Sakamato had an attack called Tsunami of Doom. What Yusuke and the gang didn't know was that Sakamato was not actually the main bad guy here because Sakamato was actually working for someone. That someone was Deenus. Later that day Yusuke and the gang encountered a pack of mutated elves. These elves were part elf, part machine. Yusuke shot his spirit gun at three of them and the elves survived but what Yusuke didn't see was when the elf was hit the elf was duplicated. But the duplicates where unseen.
