bobby sudenly became aware of the radio the driver was listening to in the front of the cab, he strained to hear what the female voice was saying" hey man sorry but you couldnt increase the radio volume there, could ya ?" the driver looked at bobby through the rear-view mirror while turning up the volume "bomb attack"......."suspected mutants"........."police have surrounded" the static drowned out the rest of the report.
"damn muties" the driver said in a mexican accent, bobby swore softly and slightly nodded his head at the cab driver as if in agreement.

been ripping up the city", bobby silently agreed that he wouldn't, couldn't get involved, "my mom's depending on me" he thought,embarrased, knowing he should help but wouldn't

when a cop stood in front of the cab signalling the vehicle and its driver to stop, the driver swore "what now" as he pulled down his window to talk to the cop "what seems to be the problem officer ?" "im sory sir but y'all cant drive down here" the officer said "this road has been blocked off, a suspected mutant attack, im afraid im going to have to ask you to turn around and stay away from this area please" bobby had had enough, he grabbed 30 dollars outta his wallet "keep the change"and jumped outta the cab grabbing onto his rucksack and hoisting it onto his back as he went running past the cops and straight into the hands of......................................
